The Next Morning
"*yawn* Freen??"
Becky stretched her body out in the bed still sleepy, looking for Freen as she look on her side but Freen wasn't there.
"Hey.. did I wake you up?"
"Yeah.. what time is it? I thought it's still early."
Becky asked when she saw Freen's getting ready.
"It's 7AM. I had to be there early. I don't want them to wait for me."
"Why didn't you wake me up?"
"You're in a deep sleep, I don't want to disturb you so early."
"I guess we won't be seeing each other tonight?"
"Yeah, you'll be with your family too right?"
Becky nodded.
"We'll text each other. No worries."
Freen continued as she was walking back and forth throughout the bedroom, getting ready.
"Bonbon still sleeping?"
Becky asked for her puppy.
"Yeah, I think he really loves it here. He's so cute! I gotta go Becbec. See you tomorrow!"
Freen walked closer to the bed and climbed halfway to kiss Becky on the forehead while Becky was still in her silk pyjamas.
"F-Freen!"
Becky stopped Freen's movements when she's almost out of the bedroom.
"Yes? Do you need something before I go?"
"I- .. nothing. Just send my regards to your family."
Afraid to say what's really on her heart, Becky decided to keep it to herself.
"I love.. you."
Becky lets out a deep sigh.
A few minutes later, Becky heard a soft bark. Bonbon running into the bedroom.
"Good morning baby~ Merry Christmas!"
Bonbon tried to climb the bed with his short legs.
"Hahaha you're still so small, let me help you."
Becky picked him up and Bonbon started to licked her face.
"Did daddy wakes you up too? She can be a little bit loud when she's in a rush. You'll get used to it."
She said while scratching behind his ears.
"Let's get ready to meet the rest of your new family for Christmas. And after that.. mommy has something very important to think about."

Freen 🐰: How's Bonbon?
Becky 🧚🏻: I think he loves everyone haha he seems so happy here. If he has a long tail, he'd be wagging it all the time.
Freen 🐰: Hahaha I miss him already.
Becky 🧚🏻: Hmm.. just him? 🥺
Freen 🐰: Should I be missing someone else?? 👀
Becky 🧚🏻: Hmph! Never mind 😤
Freen 🐰: You already know I miss you the most 😌 Oh btw Bec, I wanted to ask you something.
Becky 🧚🏻: What is it?
Freen 🐰: You told me before that you wanted to ride on a ferris wheel right??
Becky 🧚🏻: I like where this is going hehe
Freen 🐰: There's a carnival going on for a few days starting tomorrow. I already got tickets for us 😌
Becky 🧚🏻: Really?? You're the best! When are we going??
Freen 🐰: I was planning to go on the very last night. 31st of December. So that we can celebrate New Year together? 👉🏻👈🏻

"I thought you hated the rides."
"No I didn't. I'm just a bit scared. It's a different thing."
Freen denied.
The two soulmate walk hand in hand to the carnival. Freen was wearing her Christmas gift.
"I guess we won't be riding any hardcore rides here?"
"Nuh uh. Ferris wheel and merry go round are my limits."
"But those are kids rides!"
"We can play the games at the booth."
"You're no fun Freenky."
"Will it be a lot more fun if I vomit on your lap when riding the rides??"
"Errr.. got it. Let's go play the games then."
Becky pulled Freen's hand excitedly to the booth.
"Slow down Becbec! We got all the time you need!"
"OH. MY. GOD. It's Care Bears!!"
Becky pointed to the prizes at the game booth, jumping excitedly.
"You know it will be much cheaper if you just buy them at the store right? Instead of using your luck winning the games."
"Yes.. but it's not fun you know? Let's just try one game."
"Try that one. Pop the balloons. It looks easy."
They paid for the tokens to throw darts at the balloons. Becky played the game but unfortunately didn't get the Care Bear, only a small stuffed toy.
"Oh look, you just won Bonbon a chew toy! Hahahahah"
"That was not easy at all!"
"Hahaha or maybe.. you're just not that good Bec."
"Oh really?? Here, I paid for another. It's your turn now, Miss Show Off."
"I'll win you the Care Bear Becky. Just look."
A few minutes later, none of the balloons were popped. It was even worse than Becky.
"HAHAHAHA WTF EVEN IS THAT??"
"Shut up! I'll try again!"
Freen was blushing, feeling embarrassed at the teasing.
"Ooohh, someone's getting hyped."
"Hey, sir. Give me another three games, I'm gonna win the Care Bear for her."
"And who said it will be much cheaper if we just buy them at the store??"
"You're right, this is more fun. Choose the colour Becbec, we're taking one home tonight."
Freen said with determination.
After 20 minutes of playing the games, she finally managed to win a Care Bear.
"The blue one please!"
Becky asked the guy for the only blue Care Bear there.
"I told you I can win this for you."
"Yeah, after playing SEVEN times! Hahahah"
"I never said I can win it with just one game."
"Thank you, I love it."
Becky kissed Freen's cheek while hugging her Care Bear.
"Y-you're most welcome. Well, if I know I'm getting a kiss, I would've done better. Let's find something to eat. I'm kinda hungry.
Freen held her palm to her cheek, caressing the part where Becky kissed.

30 Minutes Before Midnight
"See? The rides wasn't so bad right?"
"Bec, I close my eyes most of the time and held your hand. I didn't even know what's going on during the rides."
"Hahaha scaredy cat~ Come on! Let's go to the ferris wheel! It's almost midnight, I wanna see the fireworks from the top of it!"
They ran together to the queue line of the ferris wheel.
"That's a long line. Do you think we'll make it before midnight Bec?"
"Damn it! Hmm.. wait here, I'll go in front and asked the guy."
After a few minutes, the line started to move halfway.
"So, I was talking to the guy and he said we'll make it on the ferris wheel before midnight."
Another ten minutes passed by, it's finally their turn. There's 10 minutes left before midnight.
"We made it! Are you excited Becbec? But it's so high above. Don't look down.. don't look down Freen."
Freen started to calm herself down as the wheels started to move slowly, gathering the passengers cart by cart. The cold night winds that blows through her skin making the soft hairs stand straight as it was an open air ferris wheel. They can see the night sky and the view below them clearly without any glass wall or roof covering them.
"Are you scared Freen? Here, hold me tight. It's not as bad as it looks. You'll get used to the heights."
Becky intertwined her hand with Freen's, giving her reassurance.
"Look at all the lights down there. It's so.. beautiful."
Freen is now getting comfortable with the heights, but still not letting go of Becky's hand.
"It's almost midnight, just a few more minutes."
Becky looked at her watch.
"Do you think we'll get to see the fireworks from here?"
Freen asked.
"If we're lucky, maybe we will."
Only a minute left before midnight, suddenly the ferris wheel stopped with Freen and Becky's cart at the very top.
"Uhh.. Bec.. why did it stopped?? Did something happened??"
The cart slowly swings left and right as it stops. The passengers started to murmur, probably asking the same question as Freen. Everyone seems to be in question except for Becky.
"Err.. I don't know. Maybe because it's midnight?"
"What did it has to do with mid -"
*BOOM!*
A beautiful firework spread throughout the dark skies, lighting them up.
Freen was startled a bit but changed her focus to the firework.
"Becky! Look! Such a perfect timing!"
"It's so beautiful! Happy New Year Freenky!"
"Happy New Year Becbec~"
*BOOM BOOM!*
Freen was enjoying the fireworks a lot. The excited smile never left her face, not realising Becky was focusing on her face more instead of the firework show. Becky was enchanted, mesmerised, drunken in love as she herself painted a smile seeing Freen so beautiful as her eyes reflected the lights from the fireworks.
*BOOM!*
The fireworks were continually shots through the sky. Finally realising that Becky suddenly in silence, Freen turned her focus to Becky.
"Is there something wrong?? Didn't you enjoy the show??"
Freen asked while the sound of the fireworks still in the background.
"Freen.. I.."
"Yes??"
"I- I.. I wanna be your girlfriend!"
"....."
Freen was too surprised to respond, her mouth agape.
"F-Freen??"
"I'm sorry.. Did I hear that right??"
"Y-yes.. I want to date you. Let's make it official. I want you to be mine. I only find the courage to tell you this now. I've been thinking a lot and holding on to my feelings for you for God knows how long. I know what I want now. You. It has always been you Freen."
"Kiss me."
"C-Can I??"
The older girl ignored the question and plunged her lips forward as she didn't want to waste any more time. Crash. Sparks. Collides. Something deep inside their stomach fluttering. Butterflies.
Becky shuts her eyes to the sudden contact. They didn't move an inch. Lips to lips stayed still in motion until Becky returned the kiss softly. Her hands now clutching her Care Bear that was on her lap because of the intoxicating feeling.
*BOOM! KABOOM!*
It might be the sound of the fireworks, or it could be the sound of their hearts responding to the kisses. The slow kisses have now turned deep as their tongues tangled in a heated kiss. They only stopped because of the sound of the last firework being shot.
"We miss the rest of the fireworks."
Freen said smiling looking deep into Becky's brown eyes.
"No we didn't. We are the fireworks."
Becky leans for another kiss. A playful one as they smile into their kisses, giggling.
The ferris wheel started to move slowly again, dropping off the passengers. Once it was their turn to got off, Becky thanked the guy who operates the wheel.
"Thank you so much. You did really great."
"Nice doing business with you."
The guy flashed a smile.
"Becky Armstrong. THAT was your doing wasn't it??"
Freen finally connected the dots as they walked hand in hand.
"Oops. Guilty as charged."
"How much did you paid him for us to be at the top??"
"Enough for him to be eating really good tonight hehe and it was worth it."
Becky stopped walking and placed her arms around Freen's neck with one hand still holding her Care Bear.
Freen gets the hint and proceeds to kiss her.
"This is worth it?"
Freen gave another kiss to Becky's soft lips.
"Emm... So. Worth. It."
Becky punctuated each word with a kiss.
They exchanged eye contact, their gaze were deep into each other's eyes.
"I can't believe you're finally.. mine."
"I'm sorry it took so long. Thank you for not giving up on me."
"Are you ready to go home?"
Becky nodded.
"You're spending the night right Freenky?"
"Of course. Now that you're my girlfriend, I probably don't ever want to leave hahaha"
"Good because you know.. Ahem.. Tonight is a special night. We're officially together. On New Year's Eve. So.."
"So..??"
"A-hem.. you.. me.. the king sized bed.."
Becky's temperature rises and her cheeks turns warm. She grazed the soft skin on the back of Freen's neck with her fingers.
"OHH... Fuck. Let's- let's go home. Fast."
Freen grabbed Becky's hand and pulled her impatiently resulting in Becky's amused giggles.
