As the week went by, Kokichi was getting the silent treatment from Himiko. Every time he'd try to talk to her, she'd ignore him. Every time he looked in her direction, she'd look away. When it was time for Kiki to leave for the end of winter break, Kokichi saw her off, but he didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Tomiko or Kimiko. Even back at Hope's Peak, Himiko would walk to school either by herself, or with Angie and Tenko. She'd walk to her classes alone. At dinnertime, she'd wait until everyone else was finished eating so that she wouldn't have to sit next to Kokichi. Kokichi would toss and turn each night, riddled with guilt and shame as the thought of his stupid decision, causing the only person he loved deeply to ignore him, clouded his mind. Feeling as if he could stand it no longer, he one day decided that he would show Himiko how sorry he truly felt. He stood outside of her and Tenko's room, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. Himiko answered the door, and crossed her arms sternly when she saw him.
"What?" she said.
"Could you come with me, Himiko? Please?" Kokichi mumbled. "I wanna show you something." Himiko continued to eye him disapprovingly.
"Let's go," she said curtly. Kokichi nodded silently in response and led Himiko out of Casa V3 and over to 7th Island House. He rang the doorbell. "What are we doing here?" Himiko demanded, raising a brow.
"You'll see," Kokichi replied quietly. Chiaki answered the door with a sleepy, yet cheerful, smile.
"Kokichi, Himiko, nice to see you two," she said.
"Chiaki, may we come in?" Kokichi asked. "It's important." Chiaki nodded and allowed them inside. "Where is everyone?"
"Everyone's in the dining hall, eating lunch," Chiaki replied as she led Kokichi and Himiko to the dining hall. Just as she said, everyone was eating at a newly-purchased table, since Akane had broken the previous one.
"Kokichi, are you here to join us for lunch?" Twogami asked as Chiaki sat back down in her seat.
"No..." Kokichi replied. "I wanted to tell you guys something. It's about what happened last week." Himiko's eyes widened a little, realizing what he was about to say.
"Oh, Kokichi, you don't have to..." she said, placing her hand on his arm.
"I want to," Kokichi insisted, placing his hand on hers.
"Tell us what, Kokichi?" Ibuki asked. Kokichi took a deep breath.
"The reason why some of you guys were acting all weird is because what Chiaki said was correct. You guys were hypnotized...by me," Kokichi said. Everyone started at him in disbelief.
"You...did that to us?" Mahiru breathed.
"Why would you do that?!" Kazuichi exclaimed. "What did we ever do to you?!"
"I just...thought it would be funny," Kokichi mumbled with a sheepish shrug.
"Funny? Funny?! " Fuyuhiko growled. "Someone could have been seriously injured, or even killed, you motherfucker! You even caused Peko to get rug burn all over her mouth!"
"It's still really raw," Peko muttered, glaring at Kokichi as she massaged the redness around her mouth.
"I know...I'm sorry," Kokichi replied abashedly.
"You could have even caused the little girls you were babysitting to get hurt!" Mahiru scolded, which made Kokichi wince, given that Himiko reprimanded him for the same thing.
"Don't you care about anyone other than yourself?!" Hiyoko snapped.
"I even broke our damn table from before cuz of you!" Akane shouted. "And Mikan stepped on my meat cuz of you!"
"Who do you think you are, taking peoples' minds like that?!" Hajime asked angrily.
"Well, I don't think it's all that bad," Nagito said. "Because of you, Kokichi, I've found a new hobby in surfboarding!"
"SHUT UP, NAGITO!!!" everyone shouted.
"Truly the scourge of this planet, you are!" Gundham growled at Kokichi. "Surely you are asking me to wipe you from existence!" As Kokichi continued to be yelled at by the students of 7th Island House, Himiko couldn't help but feel bad for him, even if he did deserve it.
"Since you have come to us with the truth, I guess all we can do now is ban you from our house," Twogami said. "Kokichi, you are no longer welcome here." Kokichi nodded.
"Okay...I'm sorry," he apologized one last time before leaving the house with Himiko. Once they entered Casa V3's yard again, Himiko stopped Kokichi.
"Kokichi...you didn't have to do that," she said. Kokichi shrugged.
"I wanted to," he said.
"Nyeh...but, now everyone there is mad at you," Himiko said.
"That's fine. I deserved it. And, I can get over them being mad at me, but..." He paused as he reached for his arm and rubbed it in shame. "...I can't get over you being mad at me." Himiko stared at him in surprise.
"Kokichi..." she said softly, placing a sympathetic hand on his arm.
"When anyone else is mad at me, I don't really care," Kokichi said. "But, when you're mad at me, I just...feel like the lousiest, scummiest person on Earth. And...that's why I told them what really happened...to show you how sorry I am."
"Nyeh...you came clean for me," Himiko said with a smile. "You told the truth for me." Kokichi took Himiko's hands in his.
"I really am sorry, Himiko," he said, looking her in the eye. "It was stupid of me to put Kimiko, and Kiki, and everyone else's lives in danger like that. And...I know my words don't really mean anything, but...I hope you forgive me, anyways. I just...life is just...really boring without you. And...I know it's my fault, and I'm just being dramatic, but this past week was just...the worst I've felt, ever."
"Even worse than finding out your own dad wanted you dead?" Himiko asked.
"Even worse than that," Kokichi said softly.
"That bad, huh?" Himiko asked, batting her eyelashes at him. Kokichi nodded in response. "Ohhhh...Panta Bear..." Himiko cooed, wrapping her arms around Kokichi. Kokichi sighed in relief as he wrapped his arms around Himiko, as well, holding her close.
"I'm sorry, Himiko," he apologized again. They pulled away before Himiko began tapping Kokichi's chest with her fingertip.
"Nyeh...I'm still a little disappointed in you, mister," she said firmly. Kokichi nodded shamefully. Himiko softened. "But...I do forgive you, Kokichi." Kokichi brightened.
"Really?" he asked softly.
"Yeah," Himiko replied. "Besides, you didn't really mean any harm, even though you caused a little bit of it. And, I guess since nobody got hurt really bad, maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on you."
"I deserved it," Kokichi admitted quietly.
"Well, I also think you deserve forgiveness," Himiko said with a warm smile, giving Kokichi a kiss on the cheek. "Besides, I do miss your kisses and hugs...now that I'm not so mad anymore."
"I've missed yours, too," Kokichi admitted. He hugged Himiko again and kissed her cheek. He smiled contentedly, happy to have her in his arms again. "I love you, HimiCocoa Bean."
"I love you, too, Panta Bear. Oh..." She placed her hands on Kokichi's shoulders as he continued to hold her waist. "...I know you don't care, but I'm going to make sure the others won't be mad at you, anymore."
"Oh? How are you gonna do that?" Kokichi asked with his usual mischievous grin.
"I know some memory spells," Himiko replied with a mischievous grin of her own. "By tomorrow, they will have forgotten everything you told them." Kokichi raised a brow at her.
"Is this a test to see if I'll agree with you, or not?" he asked.
"No," Himiko replied. "You've already proven to me that you're sorry for what you did. I just don't want them to be mad at you."
"Alrighty, then," Kokichi replied. "I won't stop you, Monkey Buns."
"Aaaand, next time Kiki and Kimiko come to visit, I'll give them the memory spell, too, so that they won't convince you to hypnotize anyone else."
"Whatever you say, my Supreme Lady," Kokichi replied.
"Good answer," Himiko said with a sassy smirk. Kokichi chuckled and tenderly kissed her lips.
