Lockwood glanced up, a sheepish smile playing on his lips. "Ah, Lucy, always the one to point out the obvious. I must say, this look is quite refreshing, don't you think?"
Lucy rolled her eyes, but her concern was evident in her voice. "What happened, Lockwood? You look like you've been in a brawl."
Lockwood shrugged, attempting to clean the blood from his face with a damp cloth. However, his efforts only resulted in smearing it further. "Just a minor mishap, nothing to worry about. I tripped over a loose floorboard. It's nothing, really."
George, who had appeared in the doorway wearing nothing but his underwear, raised an eyebrow. "Well, well, Lockwood. I never thought I'd see the day when you'd be caught in such a state. Should I be concerned?"

Lockwood playfully rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm glad to know my disheveled appearance is appreciated by my esteemed colleagues. Perhaps I should make it a regular occurrence."
Lucy couldn't help but smile, her concern momentarily overshadowed by the camaraderie they shared. "Just make sure you don't trip over any more loose floorboards, Lockwood. We can't have you getting injured every time you decide to venture into the kitchen."
