"Almost there, that should be the last thing," Wilbur said, lighting the last candle on the pentagram.

Tommy giggled. "This is a bad idea, Will."

"It was your idea to try to summon a demon," Wilbur reminded him.

"But you went along with it," Tommy argued.

Wilbur didn't respond, moving to sit next to Tommy just outside of the circle. "Wanna read the words?"

Tommy handed Wilbur the old book they had found. "No, you do it."

"Alright..." Wilbur muttered, flipping to the right page and scanning it until he saw the right words to say.

He didn't really know what they said, being in Latin and all, he just hoped he was pronouncing them right.

When he got to the end, nothing had happened. Tommy sighed in disappointment, taking the book from Wilbur's hands.

"I dunno what you thought would happen, Toms." Wilbur laughed. "I mean, we found that book in the trash."

"I knowww, I thought that at least the candles would go out or something," Tommy sighed.

A gust of wind flew through the room, extinguishing the candles, the smoke curling up to the ceiling.

"Like that?" Wilbur whispered.

"Yeah," Tommy whispered back, his eyes widening in excitement. Or possibly fear. Wilbur couldn't quite tell.

The pentagram started to glow with a dim red, smoke starting to rise from the glowing lines before they caught fire.

Tommy gasped, pushing himself back quickly. "Wilbur?"

Wilbur didn't move, watching with a mixture of horror and curiosity, his wide eyes reflecting the fire that suddenly rose to the ceiling.

Tommy screamed, and Wilbur felt him grab onto his arm, trying to pull him backwards. "Wilbur, come on!"

But Wilbur didn't move. He watched the fire decrease until it was small again, smoldering in the shape of the pentagram. In the center of the pentagram was a demon.

"It worked?" Wilbur whispered.

"Will, please-" Tommy sounded close to tears, his breath shallow and rapid.

Even from the floor, Wilbur could tell the demon was taller than him. He stood on two goat legs, covered in soft looking brown fur. Two large horns curled around a pair of furry ears, and two slightly smaller horns stuck out of his hair in the middle of his head. His eyes glowed with a red that was slowly fading into his irises. He had a furry goat's tail that looked a lot less threatening than the rest of him. Wilbur thought his choice of wearing a suit was a rather interesting choice for a demon to make but wasn't about to say anything about it.

The demon grinned suddenly, looking down at Wilbur. His two canines were pointed like a vampire's. He knelt down, tilting his head as he examined Wilbur.

"A human!" He said happily. "Oh, you're a cute one..."

Wilbur's lungs squeezed in fear, stealing his breath.

"I haven't been summoned in eons," the demon said, cupping one of Wilbur's cheeks with his oddly warm hand. "What is it that you want?"

Wilbur heard Tommy gasp behind him, his little brother's hand gripping tighter on Wilbur's arm.

"Power? Money?" The demon asked, staring into Wilbur's eyes so deeply Wilbur thought he was getting his soul read.

"We didn't think the summoning would work-" Wilbur squeaked, his heart thumping faster than a rabbit's, his breath finally returning, though he was on the verge of hyperventilating.

The demon looked confused, tilting his head again.

"We're sorry we summoned you, mister demon sir, we didn't mean to," Tommy said timidly, his voice breaking into a million pieces.

The demon looked to Tommy then back at Wilbur, his eyes starting to glow red again as they narrowed. "You didn't mean to? One does not accidentally summon a demon."

Tommy's breath audibly hitched as he started to quiver, tears starting to pool in the corners of his eyes.

The demon stood, looking down at Wilbur. "You have no wishes or demands?"

"You mean other than 'don't kill us'?" Wilbur whispered.

"Other than that," the demon confirmed, holding a hand out for Wilbur to take.

Wilbur's hand shook as he reached for the demon's, not wanting to anger him. "Um... n- not that I can think of-"

The demon pulled him up, Tommy's hand sliding away from Wilbur's arm. It seemed as if the demon had purposefully pulled him closer than Wilbur intended to be, Wilbur's chest almost bumping into the demon as his breathing turned shallow again.

Wilbur looked up at the demon, feeling almost nauseous with fear but the demon just smiled at him.

"What's your name, love?" The demon asked quietly, his fingers brushing against Wilbur's cheek.

Wilbur stifled a whimper, trying not to shrink in fear. "W- Wilbur..."

The demon smiled again, the red starting to fade from his eyes again. "Pretty... I'm Jschlatt."

Wilbur's eyes widened as he looked up at Jschlatt, his heart still pounding in his ears.

"Wilbur-" Tommy hissed from where he stood at the back of the room. "What's happening?"

Schlatt wrapped an arm around Wilbur, keeping him in place, still oddly close together. He looked up at Tommy, his ear flicking slightly. "Who's this?"

"T- that's my brother," Wilbur stammered.

"His name?" Jschlatt asked, still looking at Tommy.

Tommy cowered against the wall, the book clutched tightly against his chest.

"Tommy..." Wilbur answered hesitantly.

Jschlatt nodded thoughtfully before looking back down at Wilbur. Something about the look in his eyes worried Wilbur. Not because he looked angry or about to murder him or Tommy. No, rather, he looked... in love?

"Well... Wilbur... I'm still glad you've summoned me. I get annoyed at the mortals that attempt to summon me just to ask me for things they don't need. However..."

Wilbur felt himself start to shake again, terrified of what Jschlatt was about to say.

Jschlatt looked at Wilbur, worry suddenly flashing through his red eyes. "Oh no... darling, why are you so afraid?"

He was worried? About Wilbur?

"I- I'm sorry, I-" Wilbur started, his voice quivering.

He felt Jschlatt's other arm wrap around his back before the demon pulled him into a tight hug, pressing his face into Wilbur's soft hair. "All I was going to ask of you was that you wouldn't send me away immediately."

Wilbur took in a shaky gasp, the warmth radiating off of the demon making him melt, letting his body relax into Jschlatt's. "I- I won't..."

"Thank you, love," Jschlatt muttered, his warm breath ruffling Wilbur's hair.

"I shouldn't be here-" Tommy squeaked out, making Jschlatt laugh.

"Feel free to leave, little one," Jschlatt said, pulling Wilbur in even closer. "Your brother here's the only thing I want."

Wilbur let out a long breath, his fear starting to melt away from his body. Tommy left quickly, Wilbur could hear him tripping over himself to get out of the room.

"You can't imagine how lonely it gets... I think mortals forgot how to summon demons hundreds of years ago, it hardly ever happens anymore," Jschlatt muttered as he clung onto Wilbur.

"Don't you have other demons to talk to?" Wilbur asked carefully, his hand moving to gently grip onto the side of Jschlatt's shirt.

"They're all too overly intimidated to talk to me, they're afraid I'll kill them for saying the wrong thing or something," Jschlatt huffed. "I guess I have Tubbo, but he's young and gets kind of annoying after a while."

"Why are they scared of you if they're demons too?"

Jschlatt laughed slightly, the sound rumbling in his chest under Wilbur's head. "Because I'm so much more powerful than the rest of them."

Wilbur took in a sharp breath. Well, this was a predicament. One of the most powerful demons in existence was holding him.

"Don't worry darling," Jschlatt said, clearly understanding Wilbur's fear. "I like you, you're not in any danger."

Wilbur nodded weakly, sinking further into Jschlatt with a shaky whimper.

Jschlatt smiled slightly, kissing the top of Wilbur's head. "You're mine now. All mine."
