Sweats that run in their heads, chilling besides the law building while waiting for their next subject.
"Tahimik mo ha?" His brother said... Not in blood but brother in brotherhood.
"Wala naman." Greggy answer.
Bongbong nodded.
"Uwi na tayo." He said, they are always together.
"Ay! Hihintayin ko pa kapatid ko eh." Bongbong answered.
"Sige mag hintay na lang ako." Greggy smiled.
"Manong!" A white uniform girl get their attention.
Greggy look at her, her smile earlier become more wider.
"Kapatid ko pre." Bongbong tapped Greggy, "Si Irene sa med school."
"A-ah!" He is too shock, he never know how beautiful this girl is. "May maganda ka pa lang kapatid, ano nangyari sayo?" He whispered.
"Hahambalusin kita diyan." Bongbong whispered back.
"Irene, kaibigan ko si Greggy."
Their hands both shaking while having a hand shake, "Hindi naman ako pasmado pero bakit namamasa kamay ko? Hahaha!" Greggy jokingly said.
"Manahimik ka na diyan." Bongbong hissed, "Masasakal kita."
Greggy smile at Irene.
"Pre, yung kamay pre." Bongbong grip at Greggy's wrist.
"What if type talaga ako nang kapatid mo." Greggy kept pestering Bongbong about Irene.
"Hindi ka magiging type nun, mas lalo kung malaman niyang member ka nang Fraternity."
Greggy chuckled, "Mapapagbago ko siya."
"Tanga! Dapat siya mag sabi niyan, hindi ikaw."
They are heading back at their room, when someone bump Greggy.
"Uy pre." Bongbong quickly hold him.
"Tangina." Greggy look at the boy.
"Sorry po." The boy said.
"Hindi eh, dapat tinitignan mo diba?" Greggy remove Bongbong's hand.
"Tangina talaga neto puro pang iskandalo lang ang alam." Bongbong step back, knowing that he can't stop him.
"Gago ka ba?" The boy push him.
"Aba'y ikaw ata ang gago?" Greggy grab his collar as soon as possible.
"Tangina neto!" The boy started to punch him.
But Greggy did not mind the pain of it, he just throw a fist of punch to his face, staring the real rumble in the hall way.
"Tangina Gregorio!" Bongbong stopped him, since there is a staff now, "Si Irene." He also noticed.
So Greggy stop, his face full of bruises now. His white skin can really show how his blood shine on him.
The staff look at them, "Araneta ikaw na naman."
They went to the councilor office to settled down their issue.
"Hindi porke't may frat ka ganyan ka umasta ha. Ipapaalala ko sa'yo Mr. Araneta hindi ikaw ang may ari nang school. Hindi mo kinapogi yan."
"Tama!" Irene agree right away.
Greggy glare at her a little.
"One last chance, this warning will be the last time. Ma ki kick out ka na kapag may ginawa ka bang katarantaduhan within the school premises." The councilor warned.
"Aray! Aray!" Greggy whined there.
"Akala ko ba siga ka?" She is putting betadine on the wounds.
"Wait masakit kasi." He's smiling while holding Irene's hand.
"Hindi mukhang tuwang tuwa ka nga."
"Oo ikaw ba naman kasi kaharap ko eh, sinong hindi matutuwa?" He said confidently.
Irene push the cotton and betadine in the wound that she's cleaning.
"Aw! Aw! Aw!"
Bongbong suddenly laugh, "Aso ka pala."
"Basta kung mahilig sa aso si Irene, okay lang."
"Makapal mukha talaga, okay lang yan sa'yo." Bongbong chuckled.
"Si Bongbong?" It's already ten in the evening when Greggy knocking at Marcos' house.
"Umalis." Irene answered, not even opening the gate for him.
"Ay weh?" Greggy sigh, "Tangina talaga nun." He whispered.
"Bakit?" Irene was curious.
"Sabi niya kasi punta raw ako dito." Greggy sigh, holding at the gate looking somewhere.
"Pasok ka na lang, naulan pa oh." Irene get an umbrella so she can open the gate for him.
"Lakas nang ulan." Greggy half laying at the chair, stirring the coffee that offer to him.
"Ba't ka kasi nandito?" Irene ask, she's alone since she also doesn't know where's her brother.
"Sabi nga nang kuya ko punta ako dito." He answered again, "Pwede ba mag palit? I mean t-shirt lang."
Irene nodded, "Sige, baka ubohin ka kawawa ka naman."
Greggy stand up, facing his back to Irene. Removing his shirt so he can change it.
"Where did you get that bruises?" Irene ask.
Greggy chuckled sarcastically, "Hindi pa ba halata kung saan?"
"Hindi naman kita kilala eh!" Irene rolled her eyes.
Greggy smile, seating down again. "Noon yan, bago ako makapasok sa frat, tapos yung iba bago lang ewan di na naiwasan ang gulo."
"Ikaw na yan eh, lagi naman."
Greggy nodded, "Ewan lumala nung nasa law school ako... Tapos nung nakilala ko kuya mo hahaha!"
"Sabi niya ikaw naman daw may rason kung bakit din lagi siyang sinusundan nang gulo." Irene smile.
"You are ano— doctor?" Greggy ask.
"Oo." She briefly answer.
"Tama yan, doctor ka you will take care of me kapag napapaaway ako."
"Mayabang ka diba? Wag ka nang mag gamot." Irene said.
"Sus, ako na to oh?" Greggy laugh.
"Kapal!" She giggled there.
Greggy fell in love, he love her now.
"Type ko kapatid mo." He directly said to Bongbong.
"Siguraduhin mo lang di mo sasaktan kapatid ko." He have a trust to Greggy.
"Oo, sinaway ba kita sa pinsan ko. Hindi naman diba?" Greggy chuckled.
"Pinsan mo lang yun, kapatid ko yan anong mas malapit?" Bongbong laugh too.
"Sapakan na lang, 1v1?"
"Tangina neto! Di ata buo araw hangga't walang gulo na ginagawa." Bongbong answered.
"Hindi ah... Hindi lang mabubuo araw ko hangga't di ko nakikita ngiti nang kapatid mo." He smile, being so proud.
A white uniform girl and a polo with fitted slacks boy, walking at night. Who knows that this basagulerong gangster will agree to wait and court Irene first.
"Do you want to eat?" Greggy offered.
"Hmm... Pwede naman, mc do tayo?" Irene smile, "I crave for spaghetti."
"Edi sana Jollibee."
When Irene heard that she slapped his back, "Lakas nang amats mo."
He wince 'cause of pain, "Tara na nga."
They walk at the fast food chain, "Di ka pa ba pagod mag lakad?" Irene ask.
"Hindi, basta kasama ka hindi."
Irene smile when she heard that, using her camera to look at the menu.
"Malabo pala mata mo noh?" Greggy ask, Irene just nodded because she's busy to think about her order.
"Kaya siguro 'di mo nakikita kapogian ko."
Irene frown a little, even the people in cashier trying to not laugh when they heard that.
"Greggy, kahit ano sigurong antipara ang suotin ko wala akong makikitang kapogian mo."
"Ang lungkot naman nang spaghetti mo, bukas lulutuin kita niyan." Greggy whispered eating his chicken.
"Oo nga." Irene felt disappointed about the spaghetti, "Parang anemic." She quietly commented.
"Siguro dahil gabi na?" Greggy answer.
"Ano naman connect nun?" Irene just eat the spaghetti.
"Dahil pagod na yung staff." He answered, Irene just sigh and eat her food.
After they ate, they left the fast food.
Greggy's hand suddenly wrapped at Irene's shoulder, "Mayor, kamusta naman ang food?" She ask laughing at him.
"Masarap naman, worth it ang kaban nang bayan... Huy charot!" Greggy said while laughing, walking towards the parking.
"Ha—" She did not able to finish her sentence when someone whistle at her.
"Miss, sarap mo naman—"
Greggy turn to that boy before he punch him. "Aba'y gago ka pala eh!"
The boy tried to run, but Greggy continue to kick and push him.
"Greggy tama na, uwi na tayo." Irene hold his arms, "Hayaan mo na."
He suddenly became soft after that touch.
"You must control your temper." Irene said, while they are walking home.
"Irene, yung ganong action kahit anong sabihin mo hinding hindi ko papalagpasin yun." He is still annoyed, "Hindi ka ba uncomfortable na someone catcalled you?"
"Of course I am, pero hindi naman sana ikaw nag react nang gano'n." She continue to scold him.
It's not far but they feel like their walk is taking like forever.
"Greggy?" Irene called out.
"Hmm?" He hummed, his eyes fix at the side way.
"Can you promise me about something?"
"About what?" Greggy stop for a moment.
"I love you! but I'm afraid that you will be hurt... Please can you stop fighting with others na, I mean refrain yourself about that kind of matter." Irene said, "Hindi naman para sa akin, para sa'yo din. Hindi sa lahat nang oras malakas ka."
"I love you too!" He answered, "Syempre naman kung hindi ka comfortable I can control my patience."
"Dapat sa'yo, dapat para sa sarili mo." Irene sigh.
"Hindi, para sa future nating dalawa."
He changed... He changed his attitude, trying not to throw fist anytime. He is still active on their frat everytime when they are having an event where he can help other law students or in the society in general.
He is known to be a gangster inside the law school, with a cold and stone heart. But, in front of her— Irene, he act like a baby... A soft baby inside a big body.
Irene still like that, walking with him. Loving every not so funny jokes just to make Irene happy.
A girl who fell in-love with the opposite of her, and she really did change him for the better version of his self.
