This chapter can be considered Chapter 4.5- before the time skip that takes place midway through chapter 4. If you don't want to go back and read it, it's after Loki killed Summer's best friend, Ally. Summer then tries to run away, but of course he catches her before she can get far.

Fun fact: I had a dream a few nights ago and it's been stuck in my head. It didn't involve Loki but when I thought about writing it, he kind fit the character lol. So I hope y'all enjoy this chapter literally inspired by my dream 😂

"Finally."

Summer chuckled and buckled her seatbelt. "I didn't take that long."

Ally chuckled and started the car. "I know, but we're halfway there and I can't wait to get there."

She made a hum in agreement and plopped her feet up on the dash. "Me either. I needed this vacation."

"Me too, girl."

Before they could even pull out of the gas station parking lot, Ally groaned in frustration. "I forgot to get gas."

Summer shot her a deadpan look. "We're at a gas station... and you forgot to get gas?"

"I was just thinking about how bad you had to use the bathroom, I didn't think of getting gas!"

Summer couldn't help but laugh as they pulled up to a pump. "You got it or do you want me to pump?"

"No, I got it." She shook her head with a roll of her eyes.

Summer chuckled and watched as her friend retreated inside the gas station, to pay with cash, she assumed. Her phone dinged, causing her to glance down.

"I'm here." She read the text aloud. There was no number. Not even an unknown number. Just the words.

She glanced up again, scanning the area around her. No one was in sight, not even Ally yet. She turned to look out her window, a sudden hand around her neck.

"It's time to go, Summer." Loki practically cooed, his grip on her neck tightening.

Her jaw dropped in what should have been a blood curdling scream, but no matter how hard she tried, no sound came out. She ripped out of Loki's grip and dashed to the driver's seat of the car and clawed to get out, but her vision blurred and limbs grew heavy, her hands kept missing the handle.

She blinked and was suddenly in a pair of arms. Loki's deep voice rumbled in his chest as he whispered in her ear, "I have you now. It's okay."

Her head whipped around to face her captor but still couldn't make herself scream. She summoned enough strength to flail herself out of his arms and ran to the gas station.

She threw the doors open and darted to the counter. "Please, I need help! There's a man after me!"

"Let's go home, Summer." The employee at the counter conveyed. Except it wasn't a stranger, but Loki.

She reeled back and bumped into a body behind her. She whirled around to come face to face with Ally.

Ally's head cocked to the side. "Go with him, Summer. It's okay." She smiled, blood seeping out through her teeth and oozing out of a deep slice across her throat.

This time, Summer did scream, but it sounded so far away. Familiar arms wrapped around her waist, a head pushing its way into the crook of her neck. "Summer?" Loki whispered.

She heard herself scream again, but her mouth wasn't open. Who was screaming?

"Summer." He called again, more concerned.

Her nightmare only continued in her reality, waking up to be face to face with the monster of her dreams. Loki's arms were on either side of her trembling, sweat coated body, caging her in under his own body.

She hoarsely cried out in fright and desperately tried to crawl away. A hand wrapped around her ankle and stopped her. It easily pulled her back under his body as if she weighed nothing. Once again, she was trapped.

She flipped on her side to curl into a ball underneath him. She sobbed into the bedding, realizing she could never wake up. Her nightmares would always continue into the day as long as she was with him.

With adrenaline pumping through her veins, all she could hear was the loud pounding of her heart. Cold, large hands rested on one of hers, and on instinct she ripped it away. This time, his grip was more firm and didn't let her hand slip away from his. She scrunched her eyes shut, dread pooling her stomach.

"Summer," his eerie voice called, demanding her attention.

Her eyes remained closed, too frightened to face her nightmare head on. He tugged her hand closer and she tensed, bracing for pain.

His voice called out to her again, calm, but matter a fact. He wanted her to face him, to open her eyes.

Hyperventilating, she slowly opened her eyes. He gently rolled her onto her back and she was too scared to fight back this time. Then she was facing her nightmare head on.

With his hand holding hers between them, she watched his lips moved to say something, but her heart was pumping so loud and fast, she didn't hear it. Her mouth moved and her eyes widened, but she couldn't form words.

He noticed she missed what he said, and he repeated himself. "Count." He told her.

Count. Count what? Her silent question was answered as his fingers shifted on hers.

This is it, she thought. He's angry she woke him up. One by one, he's going to snap her fingers and she's going to have count each break. Or worse, he had the strength to completely rip them off.

Once again, her eyes scrunched shut to avoid seeing the horrific abuse, only for them to fly open at the feeling of his lips on her pinky finger. Her gaze met his, his eyes staring at her expectantly.

It took her a moment for her brain to register what it was he wanted, but finally she was able to breathe out a shaky, "o-one."

His eyes softened, telling her she found the right answer. His mouth went back to her digits and her spine stiffened and muscles tensed, wondering if this was the part where he bit one of them off.

She flinched as he kissed her ring finger this time, and again he gazed at her expectantly. "Two." She rasped in a whisper.

She was more relaxed when he moved on to the middle finger, noticing a pattern at whatever game he was playing at. "Three." She whispered more readily this time.

His kiss lingered on her pointer finger, his breath tickling her hand. "Four."

The thumb was next, and she was weary again, wondering if he was saving the torture for last. With baited breath, she watched as he kissed her thumb and nothing more. "Five."

He closed his hand around hers, their fingers interlocked. "Again." He softly ordered.

This time, he kissed her knuckles, one by one, until they got to five. She wasn't sure why she was letting him do this to her. Her brain was still far too much of a mess to think properly or put up a fight to stop him. Even still, putting up a fight might do more harm than good.

When he was done with her knuckles, he released her hand. It fell beside her, and it wasn't until then she realized how close their faces were, still caged between his arms. His haunting eyes trailed down her features, down to her collarbone, and neck.

His head dipped, his lips brushing against her throat, his breath fanning against the delicate skin.

It was then she finally had the courage to quietly plead, "please," she swallowed hard. "Please don't."

"Count, Summer."

She bit back a silent cry as his lips pressed against her throat. She was done with his games and remained quiet.

The kiss turned into a gentle bite, but hard enough to make her give in and croak, "one." She closed her eyes.

Another bite, followed by a kiss. "Two."

He trailed further down her neck. Bite. Kiss. "Three." A tear rolled down her cheek.

Another bite and kiss, to her collarbone this time. "Four."

She feared how much further down he'd venture, bracing herself for a fight. His breath tickled her ear, and instead of a bite or continuing further down, he placed a kiss just under her jaw. "Five." She breathed, hoping it was the last.

With a touch as light as a feather, he hooked a finger under her chin to get a better look at her face. "Look at me." He whispered and she immediately went rigid.

Her eyes slowly cracked open, but didn't dare look him in the eyes, her gaze glued to his bare chest. His grip tightened ever so slightly, a warning.

Her breath caught in her throat when she looked at him- I mean, really looked at him. His eyes were as direct as expected, not even blinking as much as the average person. They glistened in the moonlight that peeked through the blinds, bringing an otherworldly shine to them. A satisfied smile grew until his perfect teeth made an appearance.

He hooked a finger on the collar of her shirt and tugged it down- just enough to reveal the marks he left on her neck.

"Do you feel better?" The words tumbled slowly out of his mouth, each one wrapped in a heavy voice, but spoken crystal clear. It was this speech, this voice of his that immediately set him apart from everyone else.

Does she feel better? As much as she wanted to say no and shove him off this bed, it dawned on her what he was doing this whole time. By having her count, her breathing evened out and her mind was able to settle. No longer hyperventilating, she was able to focus on Loki. Just Loki.

Her gaze dropped.

His hand caught somewhere behind her neck and base of her jaw to tilt her head back so her eyes met his. Once he had her gaze, he persisted, "I think you feel better, hmm?" His other hand came up to lightly brush the hair back away from her face.

"Yes." She admitted with a sniffle.

She expected him to pester her until she thanked him or maybe kiss her some more. Instead, she was surprised to notice a change in his eyes. They softened, as if he suddenly felt bad for her.

"What's your favorite snack?"

She blinked a couple times, unsure if she heard him right. "S... snack?" She repeated, cautiously.

A gentle smile graced his face, as if he were amused by her, and he affectionately brushed her tears away. "Yes, a snack, love."

She felt silly answering such a question, but nonetheless, she replied in a small voice, "apples... and caramel."

He remembered seeing some in her cabinet and called for a chef. Being from another planet, they had neither apples or caramel. It would be difficult for the chef to find, but Loki figured someone could figure it out.

The chef entered, seemingly unbothered by the couple's compromising position. Even when Summer tried to sit up, Loki remained where he was, forcing her to lay back down beneath him.

Once he told them what she wanted, in a language she did not recognize, it wasn't long until the chef returned. On a plate far too fancy for such a snack, the apples were cut up into bite sized pieces, and the caramel sauce was smeared nicely on the plate.

Was she in the mood at all for eating? No. She felt like puking, but the snack at least got him off of her. Once he sat up, she mimicked his actions, and they sat side by side against the headboard.

"You know, I've never tried apples or caramel." His voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

She wasn't sure how to respond to that, nor did she want to.

With the plate balanced in one hand, he picked up an apple with the other and dragged it through the sauce. "Like this?"

At her nod, he popped it in his mouth. "Sweet." He pointed out as he chewed. He wasn't much of a sweets person, but he still enjoyed the fruit.

Wordlessly, he dipped another piece and held it up to her mouth. She inwardly cringed. She didn't want to be fed by him, but was too exhausted to put up a fight.

Defeated, she let him feed her. He smiled.

For those curious, here's my real dream haha. I'm not gonna write it as detailed as above.

It was the end of the world and there was lava all around. I'm sitting with a group of people, and we're all circled around this man. I don't think he was human, but he was large and definitely a villain.

His hand wrapped around my ankle and tugged me closer. In a low, British sounding voice, he told me, "count."

For some reason, I didn't hear him. I stumbled over my words as I quietly asked him, "what do you want me to do?"

He grabbed my pinky toe and again, he said, "count."

I was terrified, thinking this is where he breaks my toes or rips them off. Finally, I whispered, "one."

He pulled my toe until it cracked. Not break, but crack as in how you crack your knuckles. It didn't hurt. He moved onto the next toe and did the same thing as I counted.

This repeated until he got to my big toe. I thought that this is it, this is where he breaks my toe because the big toe is the most important toe. Instead, he did the same things as he did to the others.

Then I joined everyone else in the circle.

That was it 😂 a little different then what I wrote for Summer and Loki, but kisses and fingers seemed more appropriate.

I hope y'all enjoyed!!
