What is more harder, Moving on or Letting go? Some people can't still believe that they moved on, but they did not still let go of it. They already let go, but moving on is another way.
Greggy already moved on, he knows that he already moved on for almost a five years now, but letting go the routine, the things, and the scenario.
"Kuya, sama ka na kasi sa amin. Nagmumukmok ka na nang ilang taon dito." Elvira said.
"Busy ako." Greggy briefly answered.
"It's weekend naman eh."
"May appointment ako." It's a lie, he just can't.
"Lagi namang rason mo yan." Elvira said.
She's been bugging him for almost a week to go on vacation with Patricia.
"Promise kapag papayag ka hindi na kita kukulitin."
"That's a lie, Elvira." He focus his eyes in the screen of his laptop.
Elvira gulp a little, "Palibhasa di ka pa nakaka move on."
"Naka move on na ako, baka kayo ang hindi pa naka move on." Greggy hissed.
"Then come out to your comfort zone, come out sa lugar na kinasanayan niyo. Parang hinihintay mo pa rin kasi siya." Elvira said with annoyance.
Greggy stop his hand to type, he just stare at screen... at nothing.
"Pagbigyan mo naman sana yung sarili mo ding makalaya, limang taon ka nang ganyan kuya. May mga pamilya ka pa." She added, before leaving.
"Ano tara Elyu?" Bongbong ask, "Tara na." She chuckled.
"Ngayon na agad?" Bongbong laugh.
Irene nodded, "Oo nga tara na."
"Wait tawagin natin si manang, elyu lang pala makakapag payag sa'yo ha." Bongbong said dialing Imee's number.
"What if may gwapong papa dun?" She jokingly said, she still finding her ex.
She still did not move on.
"Tama yan palitan mo agad, walang rules rules kapag nag loko yung jowa mo." Bongbong even said.
"Bakit kasi parang laro lang sa inyong mga lalaki yung pag ibig namin." She said.
"Ay ako hindi ako ganyan ha." Bongbong defended, "Nasaktan ka lang nang isang lalaki, dinamay mo na lahat."
"Bakit defensive?" Imee pop up out of nowhere.
"Tanong mo sa asawa mo— ay hindi na nga pala kayo." He bravely said.
"Sapakan na lang, ano?" Imee jokingly offered.
Irene just started to pack her things.
As well as Greggy, he just realized that he already losses all the opportunities and some of his family gatherings because of his attitude.
"Sa Ilocos tayo." Elvira said, helping him.
"Sige kayo bahala." He said.
"Grabe nga eh, ikaw kasi binigay mo lahat, sinugal mo lahat, ayan ubos na ubos ka."
Greggy nodded, he wants to cry remembering that night again.
"Shh... Kinulong mo na sarili mo, dito pati sa kanya."
That's true, he barely left his room, his room where all ended, where all his dreams and heart broke down like a wall being crashed down by the tornado.
Irene and her siblings went to La Union, believing that Irene will be move on there.
"Cheers Irene! Kung ako sa'yo hahanap na ako nang bago." He repeated what he said last time.
"Kung ako sa'yo mananahimik na ako." Irene toast her shot glass.
"Wag kasing magpakatanga sa manloloko." Imee interrupted them.
"Woah hahahahaha!" Bongbong laugh sarcastically, looking at Imee before Irene.
"Siya pa nag sabi nun ah." Irene get what he wants to say.
"Ayan tama yan mag kampihan kayo." Imee rolled her eyes, "Sinasabi ko lang naman yung totoo. Malay ba natin kung mahal pa niya yung ex niya diba?" She put her hands around Irene's shoulder.
Irene look down, "Mahal ko pa nga eh."
Another sarcastic laugh from Bongbong, "Hahahaha! Ading hayaan mo yun tama na."
"Ihh." Irene frowned.
"May mas better pa diyan, bata ka pa. Madami pang iba, retohan kita?" Imee jokingly said once again.
"Retohan mo sarili mo manang, yung matino." Bongbong just laughing the two girls while drinking.
"Isa pa Bonget, ako na mismo sasapak sayo." Irene threatened.
"Wow! Natakot naman ako." He over dramatically said.
"Inaneto eh." Imee whispered, but chuckled by her brother's attitude.
"Kuya gising." Elvira patted him.
"Hmm?" He hummed.
"Look kasi." Elvira pointed at the windmills. "Tulog ka nang tulog."
"Ay sorry naman." He rolled his eyes, looking at the windmills. "Can we go there closely?"
"Oo te, kahit nga mag-lambitin ka sa blade niya pwede eh." Patricia sarcastically answered, getting out at the car.
"Yung kapatid mo kumukulit na naman." Greggy turn to look at Elvira.
"Mana sa'yo." Elvira also left the car.
He followed them, using his sister's scarf to cover his head and protect from heat of the sun.
"Sabi nila kung may gusto ka daw sabihin sa isang tao pero hindi mo masabi, ibulong mo raw sa windmill." Patricia said.
Of course Greggy reacted differently, "Nagpapaniwala ka naman sa ganon."
"Bahala ka sa buhay mo, sana nag bakasyon ka mag isa diba." She said and just taking a picture.
When he noticed that the two girls are having an own world, he step near at the big windmill.
"Hindi ka man tao, pero sana palayain mo na memorya ko sa kaniya. Lahat-lahat, sana makausad na ako nang hindi siya ang dahilan."
"Salamat nakawala na ako!" Irene lay down at the sand, she is happy but her eyes filled with tears.
"Hindi ko na siya mahal, sana hindi ko na siya mahal pag alis ko dito." She whispered.
"Manifesting na lang natin yan." Imee smile a little.
"Ikaw? Kailan ka mag mo move on kay Tommy?"
Imee stop a little, "Hindi ko alam, ayaw kong maging mali sa harap ni daddy."
"Anong mali?"
"Sa pagpili sa kanya... Kay Tommy."
Irene nodded, "Siguro... Kaya di rin siguro kami." She remembered what her father said.
"Masasaktan ka lang sa huli."
"O baka, pinapangunahan lang talaga ni daddy."
"Baka tama siya?"
"Puro baka, magsitulog na kayo." Bongbong whispered.
"Ikaw kasi Bonget, palibhasa legal kayo, tinanggap kayo." Imee said.
They are serious now.
So Irene close her eyes, letting the tears to fall down and hearing their bickering.
"Alis lang ako." Greggy whispered, getting the hotel card, "We will stay here sakit nang katawan namin eh." Patricia mumbled.
He just nodded and left them out, inhaling and exhaling at the elevator of the hotel.
"Kaya ko ba to?" He ask, it's been a while since he went outside, especially that this place is not familiar to him.
"Kakayanin, baka eto na talaga ang bagong simula."
Greggy went to the Sarrat church, Santa Monica.
He sat down at the front row of the church, being fascinated by the aisle, by this long aisle of the church.
His eyes wandered around and saw this girl who sat down beside him.
"Tangina! Ang ganda." He even did not control his words, the aisle was already fascinating but this girl is more than how beautiful the aisle is.
Irene look at him.
Look at Greggy, "Yes?" She ask, he's been already staring her from a while.
"I'm sorry." Greggy move a little.
"He's cute." Irene just nodded.
"Can I know your name?" He suddenly ask.
Irene giggled, "Di mo muna tatanungin kung comfortable ako?"
"Hindi ba?" Greggy look at her again.
She sigh.
"I can sense na you are comfortable to me eh." He smiled.
That true, Irene doesn't know what's the reason but as soon as she saw him, she is already comfortable with him.
Too much comfortable that, she marry him after a year.
Now, Greggy stood again in Santa Monica, in front of Irene again.
He's not going to ask her name, but he is going to ask her to be his better half.
Before the wedding in the church, they did an exchanging blind vows.
"Nahihiya ako hahahaha!" Irene literally look like tomato now, her face is red.
"Aysus naman para namang ano to hahahaha! Ako na muna." Greggy laughed.
"My Irene, meeting you was unexpected thing that will happened to my life, many questions that been playing in my mind before I got your sweetest yes. Taking a step with you is the biggest thing I'm taking, we don't know what tomorrow happen but I won't even stop thinking, that you is the most important now." Greggy trying not to tear up.
"As long as I'm with you, hindi na mag dadalawang isip na sumugal ulit. I love you so much, more than you thought, I'm loving you every single millisecond that the world have, and I'm continue to love you until the last second of my breath."
Irene is already, crying.
"Malaki ang pasasalamat ko sa'yo Irene, dahil siguro ikaw ulit yung nag buo sa akin. Ikaw yung rason para mabuo at maging maayos ulit ako. You are not a repairing machine, you are the whole of me."
Irene and Greggy wiped their own tears.
"Ano ba yan hahahaha! Parang confessions 'di vows." She just laugh the love inside her.
"Go na ikaw na dear." Greggy smile widely.
"Gregorio, the love of my life. Luh hahahaha! Wait di ko kaya mag seryoso."
She is sniffing.
"Irene naman, ilang oras na lang oh." He is already curious, "Dear baka naman novela yang sinulat mo ha."
Irene is already crying too much.
"Shh dear."
"Wait kasi ang saya-saya ko eh." Irene wiping the tears again
"Gregorio, the love of my life. I've been thankful that you've come to my life, from my lowness to my highest. You've been reminding me the one lyrics that is on my mind."
She stop to sing the line.
"Cause I don't wanna lose you now, I'm lookin' right at the other half of me"
Greggy recording her vow.
"And now, I'm promising you like always that I'm also be here beside you when you are low and high, thick and thin, health and sick."
"Ayan na yun." Irene rolled her eyes, "Wag mo kong asarin Greggy, pag ikaw nakita ko mamaya."
"I love you so much!"
"Oo na." Irene chuckled.
"Dear naman eh." He laughed too.
"Hello po sa mga guest, may favor daw si Greggy if mag post kayo." Irene bravely said.
"Dear! Hahahaha!" He started to get shy.
"Hmm? Tell them na." Irene hold her hands, "If mag post po kayo pwedeng paki hashtag..." Greggy look at her again, laughing more.
