Bluey
I'm so confused.
Mackenzie passed out for no reason.
A teacher ran over to us and asked us what happened.
But I wasn't paying attention.
"Bluey?" One of them said.
"Bluey? Are you listening?" Another said.
"BLUEY!" Chloe yelled in my ear. But I didn't flinch.
"Why isn't she responding? And she didn't even flinch."
I shook my head. "Sorry. What?"
After school...
To be honest, I have no idea what happened in school. And I hope Mackenzie is okay.
I was watching on Pawtube when I heard an ear-splitting scream from downstairs.
I jumped in shock and dropped my phone.
I rush downstairs and see Bingo crying.
"Bingo! What's wrong?" I asked in a panic, and ran by her side.
Bingo was breathing heavily and hot tears rolled down her face non-stop.
"Bingo! Stop you're scaring me!" Bingo let out another loud scream.
Tears rolled down my face. "MUM! DAD!" I screamed, and hugged Bingo.
Mum and Dad came running down the stairs.
"Oh my- BINGO!" Mum cried, running over to her side. "Bandit-"
Suddenly, blood dripped from different parts of Bingo's body. Her head, her sides, her arms.
"On it." Dad grabbed a blanket from the couch and threw it over my head. Mum grabbed Bingo as Dad dialed someone on the phone.
"Bluey, Mum and I are taking Bingo to the hospital, you're staying with Mackenzie." Dad said.
I pulled the blanket off my head and tried to see Bingo, but Mum and Dad were gone.
Tears spilled out of my eyes, and I couldn't stop picturing Bingo like that.
A few minutes later, Mackenzie and his Mum came to get me.
I cried the whole way there.
I completely forgot about what happened in school today.
Mackenzie comforted me the entire time.
But I couldn't stop thinking about Bingo.
Was she okay?
What happened to her?
Is she... dead?
As soon as that thought came to my head, I started panicking.
What if that's what happened to her?
"Bluey! It's okay! Bingo is going to be okay. I know it." Mackenzie said.
A few hours later, it was bedtime.
Mackenzie and I were brushing our teeth.
"Kenzie?" I said and spit out my toothpaste.
"Yeah?" He said, and spit out his toothpaste.
"What happened at school?" We walked into his room.
Mackenzie shrugs. "I don't know."
He sits on his bed as I lay down in my sleeping bag next to his bed.
"Okay. Good night." I said, and turned to my side.
Mackenzie laid down in his bed.
We slowly fell asleep, as I drifted into a very bad nightmare...
Mackenzie
I laid in my bed, thoughts swirling in my mind.
I still have no idea what happened at school.
I stared at my ceiling, listening to the peaceful noises from outside.
I laid there for a while, not even bothering trying to fall asleep until I heard Bluey whimpering.
I sat up, and looked over at her.
She was clutching her pillow in her paws tight, her blanket on her legs, and tears were on the corner of her eyes.
"Bluey?" I said quietly. "Are you okay?" I wonder if she's dreaming about Bingo.
I stood up, and sat down next to Bluey.
I sat there and closed my eyes.
After a couple of minutes later, I laid down and fell asleep next to her.
The next morning...
I woke up and yawned. I was still laying next to Bluey.
I stood up and stretched.
I looked down at Bluey. She was sleeping peacefully. I smiled, as I hurried and got in the shower.
I got out a few minutes later, and went back to my room.
Bluey was on her phone, leaning against my nightstand.
"Morning Bluey." I greeted her, and waved.
"Hi Kenzie." She said, and looked up from her phone.
"Did you have a nightmare last night or something? Cause you were whimpering." I said.
"Uh, y-yeah." She said, and her face turned pink.
"You don't have to be embarrassed. It's normal to have a nightmare from time to time." I picked up my phone from my nightstand. "Imma get some breakfast."
"Okay. I'll take a shower." Bluey goes into the bathroom as I go downstairs for breakfast.
"Morning Mum." I said, and sat down at the table.
"Hey Mackie. How's Bluey doing?" Mum said, and handed me a pancake.
"Good I guess. I think she had a nightmare last night." I replied, and took a bite.
Bluey came downstairs a few minutes later, and sat down in the chair next to me.
"Hello Bluey! How are you?" Mum asked her, as she handed her a pancake.
"Good." Bluey replied.
"Alright. Off to school you go!" Mum said, as we headed to the bus stop.
Bluey
I sigh heavily. I was still worried about Bingo.
I then realized what happened to Bingo a few years ago.
She has Celiac disease. That means she can't eat gluten or she'll get sick.
'Did she eat my breakfast instead of hers?' I thought. Mine is gluten...
"Bluey careful!" Mackenzie said and stretched his arm to stop me from running into the bus sign.
"Thanks Kenzie." I said.
"Uh-huh." He said.
"Um, Bluey, are you okay?" Judo asked, "you just look a little... sad."
I hesitate. Should I tell her the truth?
I shrug. "I'm fine."
Max walks up to us along with Jean-Luc.
"Hi guys!" Max said he smiled at everyone, but gave Mackenzie a funny look.
Mackenzie rolls his eyes.
"Hi Jean-Luc." Lucky said, and waved.
"Hello." He said blankly.
Mackenzie glared at him.
Jean-Luc looks at him. "What?!" Jean-Luc said, and threw his arms in the air.
Mackenzie looks at him, shocked and annoyed.
"What?!" Mackenzie shouted. "WHAT?! Are you freaking kidding me? You literally landed me in hospital and you're questioning why I'm glaring at you?"
Mackenzie paws turn into fists, as he bares his teeth.
"I'm... sorry?" Jean-Luc said, and shrugged.
Mackenzie growls.
"Uh, Mackenzie... don't..." I said, reaching out for his arm.
