The carpet zooms off through the window, heading closer to the sky and hides among the clouds, the duo looking at the familiar sight of the moon in front of them and the sea of clouds below them. They look to see Scarabia dorm being the size of an ant compared to their position in the sky, and release a sigh of relief, at least enjoying the free air without being in the confines of their room. "WOO-HOO!" Grim cheers at the sky. "We made it! See ya, suckers!" He looks to the dorm then back to the sky. "FREEDOOOOOM!"
Back on the ground, students gathered outside the dorm, hoping to find the duo, only to hear a voice in the sky, looking up and seeing the duo flying away on the carpet. "Ah!" A student exclaims, getting the attention of everyone else. "Look over there- they're riding the housewarden's magic carpet!" They exclaim, letting everyone see the two escape.
"First, they break out, then they rob us? The housewarden will never let us hear the end of it if he finds out!" One student says.
"We have to seize them!" Another student exclaims as they try to chase after them. "Hold it right there, thieves!" They shout, trying to get them to come down.
The two only look down at the group of students chasing after them. "First they imprison us and call us thieves for trying to escape?" Angel says as she looks at the angry stares. "They've got to be insane."
"Nyeh heh heh!" Grim taunts, sticking his tongue out. "If you wanna catch us, try learnin' to fly first!"
"Speaking of flying..." Angel says as she looks at the carpet. "How do you steer this carpet?"
Grim looks at her in confusion. "Steer it?" He looks to the carpet. "Uhhh, I think Kalim took hold of the corner tassels and tugged at 'em like this..." He reaches over the tassels and grabs them, pulling them, only to be surprised at the action. "Myah!" The carpet was surprised with the action and spun around, lowering the two in the air while spinning. "Hey! Less with the 360, more with the fly quickly!" Grim yells as he yanks the tassels, making the carpet spin faster in response, the two getting dizzy. "GYAAAAAH! The world is spinning! Someone make it stooooooop!"
"They're going outside the dorm!" A student exclaims as they see the carpet spinning around the dorm. "After them, quick!" The students follow after the two while the two continue to spin. Grim let go of the tassels, letting the carpet stop spinning, but the problem was that since the carpet was still spinning from the tassels, the two had to hold onto something to not be thrown off. Angel grabbed the edge of the carpet and pulled, making the carpet move, but after being disoriented for so long, the carpet started flying of wherever, flying outside the dorm to the desert, only for Angel to tug it and make it turn around, heading towards the dorm. The two braced for impact as they approach the building, only not to feel it as they fly through the lounge, eventually ending up in the hallways, flying through their pursuers. The students looked at the duo in shock then continued to chase them through the hallways, with Angel guiding the carpet to the best of her abilities as she could, and the carpet only continued to buck around, trying to throw the duo off while trying to fly away from the group of students. Soon enough, the carpet was able to fly out of the main door of the dorm, leading the duo heading towards the mirror, and Angel tried to figure out how to at least slow the carpet down, but when she tugged down on the edges, the carpet only went faster and panic start to become evident as the two see the mirror quickly approaching.
"AAAH! We're gonna crash right into the mirror!" Grim screams as the two close their eyes, heading into the mirror and the students look on in astonishment at their disappearing figures. While continue to fly, the two didn't know that the carpet was flying into another mirror in which after a while, they felt something covering their heads, hearing the sound of crashing around them, only to encounter a rough force, making them fall onto the ground. "MroooOOOooow..." Grim groans as he collects himself from the impact.
Angel groans and holds her head, trying to feel if there was any damage, only to feel the fabric of the carpet instead. She looks around, trying to make sense of where they were, only to see darkness surrounding them. "Where are we?" She asks, trying to make sense of the situation.
Suddenly the sound of a switch is flipped, and the lights come on, blinding the two as their eyes adjust to the sudden brightness. Once their eyes adjusted, they looked to see the familiar sight of tables and couches around them, seeing that surrounding them was the carpet, as if protecting them from the crash. "Well, well. What have we here?" A familiar voice says as the two look ahead of them, seeing Jade and Floyd in their dorm uniforms looking at the two. "Patrons in search of a little midnight snack, perhaps?" Jade asks the two as they look at them in shock.
"Aw, maaaan," Floyd says in disappointment. "I was totally ready to squeeze any burglars here to nab our food supplies. It's just the little Jellyfishy and the Seal. Laaame."
"Wha...?" Grim asks in confusion. "What're you guys doin' here?"
"Didn't we already go over this?" Floyd asks. "We can't go home over winter break because of the ice floes, remember?"
The news makes the duo's eyes widen. "Wait, so we're in Octavinelle?!" Grim exclaims.
"Yes. Inside the Mostro Lounge, to be precise," Jade answers.
"We...WE MADE IT!" Grim says as he jumps up in glee, with Angel getting up, letting the carpet move around, trying to get itself together. "Finally, we've broken outta that awful prison!" The carpet only flutters around, as if trying to join in the celebration.
Jade and Floyd look at the two in confusion. "A prison?" Jade asks. "Care to elaborate?"
"And what's this rectangular flounder-lookin' guy?" Floyd playfully asks as he looks at the carpet. The carpet acknowledges his presence and bows, the two observing it.
"It looks a lot like Kalim's magic carpet, actually..." Jade says as he watches the carpet.
Suddenly the sound of footsteps fills the room, hair standing up for Angel and Grim as they see a group of students approaching the four, with Jade and Floyd turning around looking at them. The Scarabia students gather in front of the four, glaring at Angel and Grim. "There's no escape for you now, thieves!" A student exclaims as the group spread out, blocking their exit.
"Surrender quietly!" Another student demands as he look at the duo.
"Mrow?! You chased us all the way here?!" Grim shouts in surprise. "You guys are seriously stubborn, you know that?"
Another pair of footsteps appear, and everyone look at the stairs, seeing Azul looking at the scene in front of him. "What's all the commotion at this late hour?" He asks, seeing the Scarabia students on his left then seeing the four on his right.
The Scarabia students look at him in surprise. "You're Azul Ashengrotto, the housewarden of Octavinelle!" A student exclaims.
"Would you care to explain what's going on here?" Azul calmly asks.
"It's none of Octavinelle's business," a student snaps out. "Just hand over the two of them quietly," he says as he points to Angel and Grim, shaking in fear at the thought of being in Scarabia Dorm any longer.
Azul looks at his finger, seeing that was pointed to the two people behind Jade and Floyd. "Now that I'm looking closer, would that be Angel and Grim sprawled out and quivering on our floor?" Azul asks as he looked at the two closely. "They looked so dingy, I thought they were a pair of dustcloths," he smirks.
Angel looked at Azul's face, seeing that he had an amused expression on his face as he waits for her words. She sighed, knowing exactly what he was doing, but didn't really have any other choice. "Please, save us with your spirit of benevolence, Azul," she pleads, knowing well enough that Azul will get her back for this.
"Hmmm..." Azul hums as he thinks about the situation.
"If you refuse to hand them over, you'll be party to their wrongdoing as well," a student states to the trio.
The trio stare at the students, and the students flinch. "Hey, are you yankin' my tail here?" Floyd darkly says to the students. "Who do you think you're talking to?"
"No fighting of any kind is permitted in the Mostro Lounge," Azul states to the students. "This is a place for gentlemen, with the exception of Angel."
"What was that?" A student angrily says. "You're interfering?"
"Fine. We'll just do this the hard way!" Another student angrily says as they pull out their pen, and the other students follow.
The three look at the scene. "Hmph," Azul says as look at the students. "I think it's time we asked these ill-mannered patrons to leave. Jade. Floyd. Show them the door."
"Yes, sir / On it," They reply as they approach the students, pens ready in hand. The students flinch at the action but stood their ground as they start releasing spells, and Floyd and Jade blocked them with ease. With some spells, some of them bounced away from the twins, mainly due to Floyd's signature spell, but Azul was quick enough to distinguish the spells before it caused anymore damage to the lounge. After a few minutes of throwing spells, the students started to get tired, reminding them about the training that occurred just a few hours ago and their spells started to lose steam, some missing their mark entirely. The twins still had the effect in place, but it wasn't until Angel got their attention that they started to lower their guard, telling them about how slow and sluggish the spells seemed. They smirk, thankful for the information while they only accept the spells, lasting a few minutes until the students were spent from summoning spells, panting from exhaustion and they look up, fear on their faces as they see Jade and Floyd slowly approaching them with smirks on their faces.
