Raging Bulls
New York, America:
*SLIT*
The sound of the cold metal sharply slitting through flesh filled the room for a second before the gash made by the sharp metal began to leak out crimson and it wasn't long before the fairly big wound began to smell somewhat metallic and repulsive.
No doubt, it was blood.
A soft sigh escaped the lips of the person as they watched the drops of their crimson blood trickle down to the floor.
"This doesn't seem to reduce the pain anymore...the other methods don't do either. I guess...this is the end..."
The male muttered under his breath as he let his hair cover his eyes which had dark circles under them and half of his ghostly white skin.
After about 10 minutes, he let out another sigh before standing up and going to get the first-aid kit. He couldn't just let the wound bleed out and let other people notice it now, could he?
As he finished patching his arm up, he leaned back against the headboard of his bed in the bedroom and closed his eyes, thinking about everything in his life.
'Nothing is going right...It feels like I've lost a part of myself...'

Meanwhile:
"For the last time Valt, I said no! I don't want to have to do anything with him!"
"Please (Y/N)! I'm not saying you have to get back together with him the moment you see him! I just want you to go and see him once!"
"And what good will that do, huh?"
The (h/c) haired girl groaned in annoyance as the wonder boy dragged her with him to the Bulls. He'd dragged her all the way from Spain to New York with him.
Even in the flight he didn't stop trying to convince the girl to talk with his best friend and a legendary blader, Shu Kurenai.
"You're saying this because you've no idea in what condition he's been ever since he got to know that you've broken up with him!"
He exclaimed as he dragged her inside the lobby of the Bulls before stopping to stand in a corner with her.
"What're you talking about?"
(Y/N) asked as she raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms while the blunette let out a soft sigh before he began,
"Ever since Shu got to know that you've broken up with him after he was back to himself, he...he just hasn't been the same. After we all went our own ways, I video-called him a lot and each time, he seemed to get worse than before. Pale skin, dark circles, weight loss and whatnot. He...he just seems so sad yet he forces a smile on his face every time I ask and says the same, 'I'm fine' when he's clearly not."
"Are you telling me that Shu went into depression because I broke up with him?"
"More likely he went into depression because he knows that there's still someone important to him who hasn't forgiven him for the Red Eye incident yet."
Valt said as his voice had grown quieter and full of concern. The (e/c) eyed girl just stared at the floor as she let the weight of the words sink in.
'Shu has fallen into depression...because of me? B-but it's not my fault! He was the one who hurt me and pushed me away first! And now...he wants me to forgive him? Just like that? H-how can I-'
"(Y/N)..."
The voice of the wonder boy snapped her out of her thoughts as she raised her head to look at him before he asked,
"Won't you forgive him and give him a second chance?"
"Why do you...expect me to forgive him when you also know that he was the one who hurt me first?"
"Because I know you still love him. The entire beyclub and I was there when you broke up with him after his battle with Lui in the forest. I saw the tears of pain and regret in your eyes when you walked away."
He said all of it so directly that it took (Y/N) by surprise as her eyes widened and she swallowed a lump down her throat before retorting,
"Since when did you become so observant?"
"It's something I learnt from spending time with Shu."
The blunette grinned at her making the girl smile slightly. But before she could respond, a voice interrupted the both of them,
"Hey Valt!"
Both of them turned their heads towards the direction of the voice, only to find Shu's student Fubuki smiling and running up to them.
Unfortunately, the other younger bladers in the room happened to hear THE Valt Aoi's name and it wasn't long before,
"Is that the blading champion Valt Aoi?!"
"And he's in the same room as us?!"
"Valt! Please give me an autograph!"
"Can I see your Valtryek?!"
"Have a battle with me Valt!"
And before the blunette and (Y/N) knew it, the boy was surrounded by a swarm of his fans who were all trying to get his attention.
"Oops-"
Fubuki said and the (h/c) haired girl just sweatdropped awkwardly as she somehow got herself out of the crowd.
"ALRIGHT CALM DOWN EVERYONE!"
The miracle boy yelled when he had enough, making all of his fans instantly go silent. He made a '😤' face before crossing his arms and asking,
"Do all of you want to battle me?"
The crowd instantly nodded as Fubuki walked to (Y/N) and stood beside her, both of them watching what the champ was trying to do.
"Then you'll have to do a task first. Whoever finds Shu first will get to battle me along with a free beybread."
He grinned as he gave a thumbs-up to the crowd who was instantly off to do the task, leaving a cloud of dust behind.
"Nice deal, Valt."
The (h/c) haired girl complimented him as he walked to them and grinned,
"Hee. Thanks."
"Now let's go and find him too. Fubuki, you go and check the training rooms and Valt you go and check his office. I'll go check on his suite."
"Aye, aye."
Both the blonde and the blunette did a salute sign before the trio was off in search of the team owner.
(I don't know why they didn't get the genius idea of simply trying to call or text him first. 🙂)

A short timeskip:
As (Y/N) reached Shu's suite, she thought that she might've to knock on the door but strangely enough, she found it open.
"Shu...? Are you in here...?"
She asked softly as she peeked inside, only to find complete darkness. Not a single light was on and all the curtains were drawn, letting no light inside.
'This is strange...'
She thought as she walked inside and began to look for him. It wasn't long until she'd searched the whole house and the only place left was his bedroom.
As she went in his bedroom, her (e/c) eyes widened when she saw the blood-stained bandages and the drops of blood on the floor. For a person like Shu who loves neatness, wasn't this a bit strange?
'What in the world...happened here?'
(Y/N) thought as she carefully examined everything in the room. Her gaze then fell on a red-coloured and golden-bordered diary which was kept on the study table.
'Must be Shu's...'
She proceeded to pick it up and skim-read through the pages. As she reached the last page, she began to read carefully and slowly everything started to make sense.

𝓢𝓲𝓷𝓬𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓵𝔂,

'T-this means...whatever Valt t-told m-me was t-true...a-and Shu is- Oh no! I have to stop him before it's too late!'
The (h/c) haired girl thought as she hastily placed the diary back and sprinted out of the suite.
'If what he wrote in his diary is true t-then there's only one place where he might be...'
She thought and got in the elevator that would take her to the topmost floor of the Bulls from where she could take the stairs to the rooftop.
And just as she'd expected, the albino was there. Standing near the edge, seemingly contemplating whether it was the right decision or not.
"SHU!"
The blader quickly snapped his head towards the direction of the voice, seemingly surprised to find it familiar.
"...(Y/N)?"
He blinked. Once. Twice. Trying to confirm whether it was really his ex-girlfriend or just some hallucination he was having in his last moments.
"Get away from the edge you dummy!"
The girl exclaimed as she ran to him and held his arm tightly, in case he tried to jump.
"...What are you doing here?"
"J-just get back to the safe side of the roof and we'll talk it out."
"No. You'll answer my question first."
Shu said as he stood firmly on the edge and (Y/N) was forced to give in. One wrong move and the world would lose a legendary blader.
"A-alright."
"Why are you here?"
"Valt told me about your health and wellbeing. H-he told me that you've been sorry this whole time and regretted what you did as Red Eye."
"So...you came here because...Valt told you everything...?"
"Yes. But that's just 40% of the reason..."
"Oh? Then what's the rest 60% reason?"
The crimson eyes of the albino flicked in curiosity as he stared at her before the (e/c) eyes of the girl met up with his.
"Because...I still love you."
(Y/N) confessed as her breath hitched when she saw Shu's reaction to her words. His eyes widened and he stood there like a statue.
She had to tighten her hands around both his arms to make sure he didn't stumble off the edge out of shock.
Suddenly, the albino gracefully jumped over to her side of the railing before holding her shoulders which caught her off-guard and demanded,
"Repeat it."
"...I still love you..."
(Y/N) repeated herself but in a quieter voice this time as the tear that fell from her eye like a little star didn't go unnoticed by Shu.
"...so, please don't die. I don't want to live in a world without...without Shu Kurenai."
The (h/c) haired girl finished her sentence as she gently embraced the albino. Shu just stood perplexed in his spot as he took a full minute to process what had just happened.
"B-but why? Even when I pushed you away...and hurt you...why do you still love me? A-and even if you do...why did...why did you break up with me...?"
"I-I just can't bring myself to stop loving you. I-I knew that you weren't yourself at that time b-but I was angry at that time...and I thought it'd be best if we had a distance between us. B-but...after everything was over...I still wasn't able to bring myself to ask you...to get back together..."
As she went on, she didn't realise when she began to cry as well. Shu, on the other hand, was both shocked and somehow relieved to know that (Y/N) still loved him.
"...if I'd known that my decision w-would lead to something like this t-then-"
The albino gently pulled her away from himself and shut her up with a gentle kiss on her lips, making her eyes go wide before she immediately wrapped her arms around his neck and returned it.
As they pulled away, he wiped her tears gently with his thumb before letting his forehead touch hers as he said,
"It's alright. Your decision wasn't wrong. I would've done the same...if I was in your place. What matters now...is that you still love me and I was wrong to think...you didn't and hadn't forgiven me."
"T-then...promise me you'll NEVER do something like this again."
"I promise. If I ever do, you're free to hit me on the head and lecture me until I'm okay."
Shu smiled as he watched his girlfriend giggle softly at his words before she said,
"...I love you, Shu."
"And I love you more, (Y/N)."

"See? I told you. Everything would be fine."
Valt said as he and Fubuki were watching the lovebirds from the rooftop door.
"But how'd you know? What if he-"
"There's just something about (Y/N) that's always able to convince Shu. I guess it's one of the many magics of being in true love."
The blunette grinned as the blonde blader seemed surprised for a second before he smiled softly and nodded in response.

"Nope! You're banned from even TOUCHING the knife for the next three months!"
(Y/N) huffed as she snatched the metal, earning a sigh from him and a whine from the wonder boy in the kitchen.
"How am I supposed to cut the vege-"
"I'll do it. You go and sit!"
"But I wanted to eat spag-"
Valt stopped himself midway and sweatdropped when his eyes met with the sharp glare of the (h/c) haired girl.
Not sure about Shu but (Y/N) was definitely back to being the overly protective and caring girlfriend she used to be.

Also...while writing this...I somehow felt relatable to it...
