"Meera will not take the interviews", said Shubham.
Meera and Tanya both looked shockingly toward Shubham.
"Because I will take the interviews", said Shubham looking at them.
"Sir but you have meetings....", said Tanya.
"Adjust all the meetings together with this interview in today's schedule. I will work for some extra hours today", said Shubham looking at his phone and going through that list once again.
"Okay sir", said Tanya and left.
"I can take those interviews. It was easy. why did you change your decision suddenly?", asked Meera.
Shubham had no answer.
"Because I want to check those newbies", said Shubham.
"Strange!", said Meera frowning her face.
"What??", asked Shubham.
"No... nothing... ", said Meera avoiding eye contact from Shubham.
A knock at the door came.
"Yes. Come in", said Shubham.
"Sir, Meera mam's cabin is ready", said Tanya.
"Okay", said Shubham.
Meera looked nervously towards Shubham.
"Come...", said Shubham forwarding his hand towards Meera.
Meera held his hand and walked towards her cabin with him.
Shubham was walking holding Meera's hand in the office in front of everyone.
"I had never thought that Shubham sir can be romantic! Just look at him, he is walking with his wife putting hands in hand before everyone in the office', said one girl in awe.
Shubham reached Meera's cabin, it was just next to Shubham's cabin.
"Look, it's your cabin", said Shubham.
Meera was excited and nervous at the same time.
Shubham took Meera inside.
Meera was astonished to see the immense pretty interior of her cabin. Its theme was lavender, Meera's favorite colour and flower.
Meera looked at Shubham shockingly.
But this time, there was something more than being shocked in her eyes. She was baffled, confused, shocked, surprised, nervous, scared... everything at the same time. She was going through millions of emotions at this moment.
This changed behaviour of Shubham was scaring her.....
"What? Did you not like it? It's okay if you don't like it, I will make it change", said Shubham innocently.
Meera's heartbeat was crossing 120 this time.
"Change this interior', said Shubham to the worker.
"No!", said Meera loudly.
Shubham looked at Meera.
"It's beautiful. I like it.. please don't change this... ", said Meera.
Shubham's heart got relief from listening to what it was craving for, "Meera liked it"!
In the end, all the efforts and research were worth it.
"Come here...", Shubham held Meera's hand and took her to her desk.
Meera's delicate heart was overwhelmed by the surprises given by Mr. Malhotra.
This was more shocking.
"That's your job!", said Shubham.
"Design executive?", asked Meera.
"Yes", said Shubham.
Shubham signals everyone to leave.
"But you were saying that it was a receptionist job", said Meera.
"I changed my mind when I got to know about your talent", said Shubham.
"No, it's not true", said Meera looking away.
"No, it is", said Shubham.
"No, It's not. Trust me, I won't be able to do this", said Meera.
"You will", said Shubham.
"No, I can't. Making designs at home and officially for organizations are two different things", said Meera.
"Then just think that you are working at your home only. And that's the reason I have created this homely ambiance for you so that you don't feel any trouble and hesitation while working", said Shubham.
Meera's attention again diverted towards the mesmerizing interior that Shubham had created for her and that made her speechless again.
"What? Am I making you speechless?", asked Shubham teasingly.
"No... nothing... Wait, how do you get to know that I used to make designs at my home?", asked Meera.
"A very genuine question but sorry, I don't like going back in flashbacks", said Shubham.
Meera looked at him shockingly.
"What? Are you thinking that I was very sweet a moment before and now again I am turning rude?", asked Shubham.
"Yes", said Meera angrily.
"That's because I am a very strict boss. I don't like carelessness in work and now you are the design executive of the Malhotra's Industries Mumbai branch. You will be approving and making designs for textiles, tiles, and e.t.c. Many staff will be working under you. You should be very responsible now", said Shubham.
"Okay...", said Meera.
"Good! Now start working. All the best", said Shubham.
Shubham turned and left the Meera's cabin with a smile on his face.
"What is happening to him?!", thought Meera.
Outside Malhotra's Industries office
"Meera is Shubham Malhotra's wife! But how is this possible?", thought Rahul.
"Fast! Give me my money", said the taxi driver.
" Yes yes. Take it and keep the change", said Rahul frustratingly.
"But it will benefit me, now I can easily get a job in the Malhotra's industries. Yeah, this is the only favour I can ask from Meera otherwise, who has dared to even look at Shubham Malhotra's wife", thought Rahul.
