Y/n POV
The end of the week came by within the blink of an eye. Liz and I are now moving into our very own apartment.. with the help of our parents of course. Both my parents were kind enough to take time off in order to help us move in, while Liz's mom swapped a shift with one of her co-workers
"If I knew moving was this much work, I would've stayed with my mom" Liz said out of breath as we were now on our fifth trip of walking things up
"You're twenty four, it was time" Liz's mom said with a laugh
"I agree with Jen" my mom said coming in
I playfully rolled my eyes
"Says the woman that cried last night" I teased
"That wasn't me" my mom tried to play cool
I gave her a knowing look
"Am I the only one moving anything?" my dad asked as he carried my desk
"Just the heavy stuff" I smiled
He scoffed
"We need to buy a couch" Liz said sitting on the floor
"We bought you one" my mom said as she pointed to my dad and Liz's mom
"What?" I asked
"We all pitched in" Liz's mom said
"Aw no, you didn't have to do that" Liz said
"Consider it a house warming gift" Jen said
"It should be here any minute in fact" my dad said checking his watch
As if on cue, a very nice black sectional couch appeared with three men carrying different pieces of it
"A sectional?" Liz asked with her jaw dropped
My dad nodded with a smirk
"Thank you!" Liz opened her arms for everyone to walk into
We all shared a big group hug as I kissed my mom and dads cheek as Liz did the same with her mom
"I can't believe this is real life" Liz sighed
"It will be even more of a reality once we finish unloading the U-Haul" my dad urged
We nodded as we let the couch people set it up and walked outside to the U-Haul
"How come your friends aren't here helping?" Jen asked
"I think they were all busy. This was such short notice" I said
"Oh yea, that makes sense" my mom stated
Jen nodded as she agreed with her

"I'm already tired" Liz sighed as she plopped down on our new couch
"Tell me about it" I said sitting next to her
We finished unloading the U-Haul which wasn't too hard since I ended up leaving things at my parents house. Both of our parents went home to relax and get ready to enjoy their weekend while Liz and I unpack
"I don't know if I have the energy to unpack right now" Liz leaned her head back against the couch cushions
"We have to start at least a little bit" I said
She groaned
"At least for an hour. Come on, I'll turn music on and we can talk and all that fun stuff" I said
"Fine" she gave in
I was scrolling through Spotify, looking for a playlist when her phone started ringing
"Wait, it's John" she told me which made me put my music browsing on hold
"Hi!" Liz greeted excitedly while pitting the phone on speaker
"I better not hear anything kinky" I told her
"Hi, baby. Who's getting kinky?" he asked
"No one, she's just being a horndog. What are you doing?" She asked him
"I am not!" I protested to which she waved off
"Sitting in a drive thru" he replied
"With Taylor?" Liz asked as she looked at me
"Yea, we're getting tacos. Is that Y/n with you?" John said
"Yea" Liz replied
"Hi Y/n" John greeted me
"Hey John" I replied
"Hi girls" Taylor greeted
A smile instantly appeared on my face
"Hi Taylor" Liz and I said at the same time
Just then, my phone started ringing and I put my airpods in so the audio didn't clash
"Heyy" I sang as I answered Taylors call
"Hi! What are you up to?" She asked me
"Unpacking" I replied
"Yikes" she told me
"I know" I pouted
"Try and get it done as soon as possible so you don't have to worry about it. Don't procrastinate" she told me
"I'll try" I laughed
"As long as you try" she said with a laugh
"So tacos?" I asked
"From Del Taco" she chimed
"No invite?" I asked jokingly
"If you were here, you would obviously be invited" she told me
"Good" I replied
"When the apartment is put together, I expect to get a facetime call from you and whole tour" she told me
"Of course" I told her
"I'm gonna hold you to it" she told me
"Okay" I replied
"Should I let you go so you can unpack?" She asked
"I'm gonna start unpacking my room" Liz whispered to me
I nodded
"Y/n?" Taylor asked
"Sorry, Liz was telling me something. No, I could actually use the company" I replied to her
"You're sure?" She asked me to confirm
"Positive" I told her as I stood up and made my way to my room to unpack mine as well
"How was your show tonight?" I asked
"Good, the crowd was crazy" she told me
"Sorry I couldn't watch it, I was just so busy today" I told her
"It's alright. You watch every other one. Missing one wont hurt me" she told me
I nodded despite her not seeing it
"What are you unpacking first?" She asked me
"Maybe I should facetime you" I told her
"Yes!" she agreed with excitement in her voice
I clicked the facetime button and waited for her to pick up. The back seat of the car was dark so I could barely see her, but I could see her enough to notice the smile on her face
"I guess I'll unpack my clothes" I told her
"That's what I usually start with too" she told me
"Tell me about your day" I told her wanting to keep the conversation going
"I had a show" she said
"No like tell me what you did from the moment you got up" I told her
"Are you sure, it's pretty boring" she told me
"I'm sure it's not" I told her
"Alright well, I woke up at like five" she began
I nodded as I folded my clothes and listened intently to everything she was telling me. I hummed occasionally to let her know I was listening and replied whenever she asked me something. Listening to her talk while I unpacked made the process go by a lot quicker. So quick that I didn't even realize how late it was
"Oh wow, it's pretty late. Should you get going to bed?" I asked
"No, I'm fine" she told me
"You have a show tomorrow" I told her
"I'll be alright" she pushed
"I don't want you to be tired" I told her
"Y/n, I'm fine. I wanna talk to you" she told me
"If you get tired, you have to tell me" I told her with a sigh
"I will" she agreed
I nodded as she continued talking to me about re-recording her albums, but not sharing when they will be released, no matter how much I pouted
