Lyssa and Ellie had drowned somewhere within the crowd probably getting down on some random guy's body.

I couldn't help but fidget at the numerous stares that were being constantly thrown my way from different guys. I had moved from the dim corner I previously stood and found myself at the bar, my back turned to the wild crowd.

I cannot blame the stares...after all, my attire was rather sluttish and a club would be the right place to show it off. I couldn't believe I was at a club swarmed in music yet my mind was thinking about what transpired earlier. At some point soon I had to face it no matter how much I was trying not to let my mind drift to the thought.

It had been four years if am am not mistaken, since I had those nightmare. I couldn't shake off the worry of them becoming a reccuring event once again. I can't afford to have them back in my life.

Suddenly extracted out of my void a guy bashed near me into the side of the bar tumbling drunk to the ground. He stood up and rushed back into the bustling crowd

'This undeniably isn't my night and I certainly ain't having any fun but I am trying...right?' I sighed internally as I ran my fingers through my hair pushing it back.

"What can I get yah?" a voice ripped through the music, causing me to lift my head and discover that it was the bartender, grinning warmly at me. He was dressed in a pair of black trousers, a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, and his lengthy blond locks were tied back in a ponytail. I simply acknowledged his query with a nod.

"Some water, please" I requested only to receive a deep laugh that echoed through the noise from behind me. I turned to face the source, realizing it was one of the guys I had noticed on the dance floor, watching me intently. Rather creepy actually.

"Water....seriously?" he inquired, his tone laced with amusement.

"Any problem with that?" I retorted, suppressing the temptation to roll my eyes as I took a good look at him closely. His laughter-filled voice questioned with disdain, "Water....Really?" In response, I managed to suppress the urge to roll my eyes as I finally took a good look at him thoroughly.

His body was heavily tattooed and pierced only adding to my disinterest, as if I ever did. His hair, dyed a mixture of black and blue, was precisely formed into spikes atop his head. He sported a black muscle top with a weird looking skull design, along with a pair of spiked and torn jeans that hung loosely on his hips.

Addressing the bartender but never diverting his gaze from me, he casually stated, "One beer and a cocktail for the lady, please."

My annoyance grew as I retorted "Don't worry...am completely capable of buying myself a drink if I want one but am going to go with water" I concluded my statement with seriousness, flashing him a smile tainted with irritation, and turned to face the bartender.

"Lets try it this way....come dance with me" he said despite my evidently annoyed and uninterested attitude.

Rolling my eyes this time, I responded, "Uh...no thanks I will let it pass."

Annoyingly persistent, he pleaded once again, "Babygirl just one dance."

Pissed by his persistence, I angrily questioned,"Damn whats your problem? I already told you I will let it slide!" However, before I could continue expressing my frustration, the deranged guy grabbed me firmly by the wrist.

"Let me go!" I exclaimed in an attempt to make him release his grip only for him to grab tighter. "Let me go!" My heart raced faster as I began to feel a sense of danger.

In a state of madness, he refused to let go, declaring, "Not until you dance." This man was truly insane. He spoke with an air of anger but who was the one being victimized here? It was me. They were my rights which were being challenged in this situation.

In a moment filled with tension and uncertainty, the words "Let her go," pierced through the air, emanating from behind us and then a guy moved to stand by us. With a solid and demanding tone. His voice sounded as if a powerful instrument of authority, commanding obedience and left no room for negotiation.

"I don't intend on it" the tattooed guy voiced.

"Let her go" the other guy said coldly.

"Or else what?" the tattoo guy sneered as he squinted his eyes at him.

"I'll just do the first thing that comes to my mind" he said coldly, his glare drilling holes into the asshole's tattooed skull.

It was as if the weight of his words alone could shake the very foundation of the situation at hand. As the seconds ticked by, the guy, who had been tightly gripping my wrist made the decisive choice slowly his hold became less tight.

The consequences and implications of his actions were unknown, yet the sheer force of the guy's voice seemed to validate his decision. In that fleeting moment, one could almost hear the collective gasp of relief or fear from those witnessing the scene unfold.

Suddenly I felt the hold on my wrist loosen and eventually he let my wrist go. The two guys kept their eyes locked before the crazy ass spoke "lets go" three guys that sat in the other chairs by the bar then stood up and followed him as he exited the building.

I gave out a hefty breath as a sense of relief washed over me. "Thanks" I whispered and he nodded. I finally got the chance to look at him...he was captivating...especially his mesmerizing teal eyes and remarkable facial features. His neatly styled blond hair shimmered under the neon lights.

He donned a fitted white T-shirt that highlighted his abs; goodness, what else lay beneath that thin fabric? Additionally, he wore a black leather jacket, deep blue tight Jeans, and pristine white NIKE sneakers. Truly, he was someone who merely caught my attention or was it just the fact that he saved me.

What the hell? I snapped back to my senses and flattered my lashes several times. I really have to leave now. I grabbed my phone on the counter and turned in my seat.

"Am Bl..." I cut him off as I turned to face him after grabbing my phone.

"I know where this is headed....you'll tell me your name and expect me to do the same. Sorry and thank you but I've really got to go" I said hastily, already on my feet.

"Wow...what an interesting way to say thank you," he smirked, and I couldn't help but notice his handsomeness. It both startled and puzzled me that I found him attractive. The only person I had truly acknowledged in such a manner was Stephan.

I glanced past the guy to see Ellie and Lyssa looking in our direction, clearly shunned. You little...

"I have to go," I stated, keeping my gaze fixed on the girls who were celebrating their small victory in the nearby corner. Did these two set me up?

"So, you're just going to flee like Cinderella," he leaned against the bar, running his fingers through his ruffled hair.

"Not even close," I replied, preparing to leave.

"So, when can I see you again?" he suddenly asked, causing me to swivel around and I offered a faint smile.

"I don't plan on it. Anyway, thank you," I said, walking over to Lyssa and Ellie, still feeling his gaze on me. As much as I wanted to say thank you I couldn't get involved. I was pretty certain this would be the last time I would encounter him or such a situation.

I reached Ellie and Lyssa, grabbing both their arms I pulled them towards the exit. "I thought we had a deal!" I shot at Lyssa to which she raised her hands defensively.

"What are you talking about? Yes we did have a deal and I kept my end of the bargain" she retorted.

"Ha ha ha...yes you did. You just freakin' set me up despite..." A chuckle from Ellie interrupted me.

"Woah woah...wait....you think we set you up?" she questioned.

"Uh...yeah obviously....you two have been relentless for the past three weeks, insisting I find a date," I grumbled.

"Yeah I suppose that's enough reason to paint us maybe guilty but we had nothing to do with him approaching you" Lyssa clarified and I could sense their sincerity.

"Can we just go?" I muttered under my breath, eliciting a groan from Lyssa.

"Ave...you do realize that guy is...." she began, but I quickly interjected.

"Save it, I kept my end of the deal and came....now lets leave" I declared, striding towards the exit.

"Fine, grrr," Lyssa whined, trailing behind me with Ellie. Enough of tonight, am drained. It has to end at some point and I choose to rather end it exactly now.
