His Card.
Your alarm went off, and you immediately woke up. You checked your phone and it was Monday. Monday....you finally realized that you needed to get ready. You got up and saw that Hotch was gone, but it didn't matter to you at the moment.
You ran to the bathroom and took a shower. Got dressed and made breakfast. You went back to Jack and woke him up.
"Jack sweetie! You have school. Wake up!" You uncover Jack, making him get up and rubbing his eyes. "There you goo. Come on. Your cereal is on the table."
Jack left his room and went to the kitchen to eat. You set down a nice outfit for him on his bed and walked over at the door. There was a note.
'I got a call from work and had to leave. Don't know when I'll be back, but I'll text you. Jack gets out from school at 1:11. -Aaron'
You set an alarm for 1:11. Jack finished and ran to the bathroom to take and shower, then changed. He came running to you with his bag and held your hand.
[You and Jack went inside your car and drove to the school. When you got there, you hugged Jack, and he left. You turned to see JJ doing the same thing to Henry.]
"JJ!" You yelled to get her attention. She looked over and smiled.
"Hey, Y/N!! How are you?!" She waved and came walking towards you.
"Not bad. Yourself?" You gave her a big hug.
"I'm great! Hey, do you wanna do something?" JJ hugged you back.
"Sure!...Wait, why aren't you at work?" You backed up remembering Hotch's note.
"Oh, I decided not to go to work today. I wanted to stay with my kids for a day." She sighed. "Why not leave your car here and hang out the whole day? Then we come back and pick up Henry and Jack?"
"Okay. That sounds good." You and JJ left the school and headed towards the mall.
"Soo.. did anything happen between you and Hotch?" JJ gave you a look.
"We dance?" You shrugged. "He played Creep by Radiohead." Laughing at JJ looked at you. "What.."
"Hotch danced with you?" It feels like anything he does with you always surprises his team.
"Yea- tell me... how does he act at work?" You were so curious about why JJ reacted like she did.
"Well, Hotch always has a strict type of face on. He shows no emotion. He isn't that fun either. It's always about work. He focuses on it and always talks about it." She replied.
So that's why she was shocked. "He shows no emotions?"
"No, not really. It was only recent, though. When he kinda loosened up. Not as tight as he was before. Kind to think of it... I think it was because of you!" JJ shoved you softly. Joking around.
"Do you really think so?" Was it really because of you? I mean.. it's only been a few days. Can he really like you? "I don't think so. He said he didn't like me back at Rossi's place, remember?"
"He was probably lying. I saw the way he looked at you at dinner."
"He was looking at me?" You quickly turned your head to JJ's.
"Yea Y/N he did." She laughed. You two went inside a couple of stores buying clothes and some makeup. "When's your birthday?" JJ finally asks.
"We're in February, right? It's so...in 2 months on the 20th."
"April 20th? Wow okay...anything planned?" She walked towards the food court with you following her.
"Mmm..no. I'm probably just going to hang out with Jack."
"Really? So absolutely nothing?!"
"Nothing." You laughed. "I don't mind spending my birthday with Jack, really. He's the sweetest."
"Okayy whatever you say, girl."
[ A few hours went by, and JJ was driving back to the school.]
"You don't have a boyfriend or anyone, right?" JJ asked.
"No, why?"
"Well, it's only the 8th, and there's six days till Valentines Day." She was right...only six days.
"Oh..well, I was never a fan of Valentines Day. I'm still not. It's just never gone well for me, I guess." You unbuckled your seat belt and left the car. JJ is doing the same.
"Really? How's that?"
"Toxic relationships. My exs never did anything special and usually forgot that Valentines was a thing. If they did remember, all they wanted to do was sex and it just wasn't for me." You replied.
"Valentines Day was just ruined for me. Never in my life have I had a guy who actually loved and cared about me enough to buy me flowers and chocolates. To even ask me to be their Valentines now that I think about it." You crossed your arms, leaning against JJ's car waiting for Jack.
"Wow, Y/N. I'm really sorry for you. You never got to experience a good Valentines Day.." She leaned next to you.
"It's whatever, though. I don't mind it, really." The bell rung and kids were flooding the front of the school.
"No, Y/N. You deserve to have at least one good Valentines Day. You deserve to be loved."JJ said, but you didn't really focus on her.
Jack and Henry came out running to us. Jack hugged you while Henry hugged JJ.
"Bye JJ! I had fun today!" You said walking towards your car.
"Me too! We should do it again!" She helped Henry get in the car, and she left.
[You and Jack went back to the apartment, and Jack sat down at the dinner table. I am starting to draw in his notebook. He looked up and just stared at you.]
"Yes, Jack?" You looked at him right in the eyes. As if you were having a staring contest.
"Nothing.." He looked down and continued to draw. You were confused and left it alone. You kissed his head before going into the living room to watch some TV.
It was around 5:30 when you decided to cook chicken and Mac n cheese for dinner. It was 6:15 when you finished.
"Jack sweetie! Come out of your room! I made dinner." You came knocking at his door, then opened it. Jack was still drawing.
He looked up and rushed outside, pushing you away. "You can't look yet!!"
"Look at what?!" Jack was holding your hand, pulling you to the dining table. He sat down and ate with you.
In the middle of dinner, Hotch came in, putting his things beside the door. You turned and looked at him, leaning against the door sighing. His eyes were closed.
"Heyyy youuu. You alright?" You asked.
He opened his eyes and looked at you with a small smile. "Yea..I'm alright." He walked towards you and then to Jack, giving him a kiss on the head. "Just a lot of paperwork."
"Ooh...well, sit down! Sit down. I'll get your plate!"
"Oh no Y/N I can do it." Hotch insisted, but you looked at him, but this time demanded him to sit. He did just that. Smiling at you then to Jack.
"Chicken and Mac n cheese, huh?" He poked Jack's side, which caused Jack to laugh.
"Yep!" You set down a plate and a small bowl of food in front of Hotch and then sit back down to finish your food.
Hotch ate as if he hadn't eaten all day. "Wow Y/N..this is really good! Well done on the seasoning on the chicken."
"Well, thank you, Aaron." You said proudly. You finished, and so did Jack. When you took the empty plates to put them in the sink. Jack ran to his room.
"Your kid is hiding something from me." You looked at Hotch then back to the sink. Washing the dishes.
"Our kid." He corrected. He stopped eating his food, realizing what he said and saw the expression on your face.
"I mean- my kid, yes, but you're taking care of him, so he also kinda your kid, too. You know.." He completely stopped talking and ate his food in silence.
Our kid..that made you smile, but you made sure Hotch didn't see that. Jack came back, pulling his father into his room the minute he finished his food.

Hotch's POV:
Jack came in right as Hotch just finished his dinner dragging him into his room.
"Woah there, bud - what's going on?" Hotch looked at Jack, who closed the door, making sure Y/N didn't come in.
He looked at the drawing Jack made that was on his nightstand. 'Will you be our Valentines' it said on it.
"I wanted to ask Y/N if she wanted to be our Valentines! I made a card, and I thought you might want to sign it or write something." Jack handed his dad the card.
"Our?" Hotch raised one of his eyebrows, looking at the card then to Jack.
"Yea! She makes you happy and she makes me happy so I thought she could be our Valentine."
Hotch liked the idea of it, and she did make them happy. "Do you want to buy some flowers for her on Valentines?" He asked his son.
"Can we?! And some chocolates too!!" Jack's eyes lit up when his dad suggested that.
"Of course we can."
"Can we give her a single rose every day and then her favorite flower on Valentines Day?!" Jack started to jump up and down out of excitement.
"A rose every day?!...only 5 days...then-" Hotch paused and thought for a minute. "Yea..yea, I guess we can do that." He smiled.
"Yay!! Do you want to write something on the card?!" Jack handed Hotch the card smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh sure!" He took out his pen and wrote, 'Happy Valentines Day Y/N. Thank you for everything. -Aaron.'
