Kim Taehyung POV
The next week, I could not help my awkwardness to Jisoo. I have never lie to her or having a secret. I always tell her everything. Now, I was avoiding her since morning.
"Tae, are you okay?" Jisoo approached me. I put the fakest smile I had and nodded. "You're hiding something" accused her
"Whaat? Nooo." I said with a high pitched. "I gotta go" then I immediately left the room, and I could heard her mumbled "Weird"
I went straight to Jennie office, "Ms. Kim, a word?" I gave her a signal to went outside. She followed me, and we went to the rooftop. I lit my cigarette and had a smoke. I offered her a stick and she refused.
"I quit. No thanks"
"Since when?" I frowned
"3 years ago" Jennie shrugged
"Why?"
"I want to have kids someday" she said
"I thought you don't like to be in a relationship" I asked her
"In this modern world, you don't need a partner to have a kid"
"True. You can adopt the unfortunate"
"Well, as a woman, I would like to get pregnant. It's a privilege" she said with a soft smile. I have never thought a woman that ambitious like her has a dream like that.
"So, sperm donor? I could give you for free with conventional way" I teased her
"No, thanks." she rolled her eyes, "So, what's up Kim Taehyung. It's a working hour and yet you asked me to hang out with you in this rooftop"
"I'll tell Jisoo about us" I smoked my cigarette.
"Tell what?" she confused, I couldn't believe this woman, we had just had sex a week ago and she forgot already
"Us having sex"
"Are you out of your mind??? No fucking way! Jisoo will kill us! I've made a promise to her!" she yelled at me
"So do I! We broke that promise and we don't have to add more mistake by lying to her. She'll understand, we both intoxicated"
"When you're gonna tell her?" she crossed her arms
"Tonight. The sooner, the better." I said to her
"Okay. But, we have to prepare with the consequences" she said.
After finishing up my cigarette, I went to Jisoo's office, "Sooyaa, do you have a plan after office? Why don't we have a drink? It's Friday night, and you have worked very hard this week, despite your personal issues. Let's celebrate your single life!"
"Really? Do you know me at all? I'm not really into party. I just tag along with you because I need to make sure the NDA" Jisoo shrugged while keeping her eyes to her laptop.
"Just a bottle of soju would not be bad, I won't take you to a loud bar. We could talk about life, and let's take Jennie too. It should be fun" I was begging her
"Jennie? Tae.... what did you do?"
"Nothing." I panicked
"I know you, and it's not nothing. Tell me" now she closed her laptop.
Okay, Kim Taehyung, take a deep breath. It's not like you committed to a crime. You know what, she is scary when she's angry.
"Promise me that you won't be mad" I said to her like little boy said to his mom.
"Well, it depends on what are you going to say" Jisoo was being serious. I kept silent, not sure where should I start. "If you don't want to say it now, that's okay. Sooner or later I will find out anyway. You're not good at hiding, at least not for me."
"Okay, so, here it is. Remember, about a week or two weeks ago, after you broke up, you went with Jin hyung?" I started to speak
"Yes, carry on.."
"After you both left, I went home with Jennie. But, we stopped by at the bar first, and Jennie tag along. She'd like to make sure that I didn't randomly hooking up recklessly.." I stopped, not sure that I had to continue the story or not
"Well, good for her. She was taking care of you when I'm not around. So?"
"The story didn't end there. So, we both drunk, we had a little bit of dance, and one thing led to another, we had sex" here we are, the devil was out, I expected at least a screaming from her, and yet I was wrong. She just kept silent, completely silence. She just stared at me, stared into my soul. And, it was worse than I thought. "Jisoo, honey? Aren't you gonna yell at me?"
"Do you like her?" it was the first sentence that came from her mouth after a whole minute silence.
"I like her but not in that way, it's one time thing. You do know me, right?" I was making sure about that
"Yeah, I know you, but woman is different. What about Jennie? Does she like you?" Jisoo said to me with a little bit high note
"I think we both have the same feeling. Nothing happened after that, and we both didn't do any effort to make that happen again. So, we're good"
"Too bad." she said
"Wait, what??? I thought you against it??" Now my voice was higher than usual
"You both are a perfect match, she's perfect for you. But, I know you, bro. I don't want her end up getting hurt by you" she said
"What about me? I could getting hurt by her too." I objected
"Well, it usually happened the other way around" she shrugged
"True" I nodded. "So, are we cool?"
"Of course. Come on, give me a hug. It must have been hard for you these past two weeks for hiding this." she said softly and reached her arms to me
I hugged her so tight, she's really like my sister, "You have no idea. So, soju after this?"
"I have a plan already, sorry. I thought you have a plan, since it's Friday"
"Really?? With whom? Can I tag along?"
"A friend. And no."
"Whyyyy?" I whined to her
"It'd be weird if I bring you" she blushed
"Wait, is it a date? Who the lucky guy?" I teased her, she moved on quite fast
"Well, not really a date. I'll tell you when the time is right. I'm still figuring out, I'm afraid he's just a rebound thing." she said with a sad face
"If it's getting serious, promise me, that you have to introduce me to him. I should be the first one, I will do the screening for you. Maybe we could hire a private investigator" I offered her
"No! Please don't. I promise, I'll tell you"
After that conversation, I went to the park in front of the our office building and called Jennie to come to update her. She brought as 2 cans of beers, "I believe you would need this"
"Beer during working hour?" I raised my eyebrow
"It is past working hour you know, the sky has dark already. So, what happened?" she opened up the can, and handed me the beers.
"Surprisingly, nothing happened. She said that too bad that we're not liking each other" I sipped the beer
"What??" she yelled unexpectedly
"Yeah, she thinks that we'll be a good match"
"Weird."
"That's not the weird thing. She has a date, well not a date, like a plan a guy. And she doesn't want to tell me who the guy is" I said to her
"Maybe, she want to make sure that the guy is the right person" she pat my shoulder
"Maybe. But, I really want to know the mysterious guy, what if he's a bad guy like Jaehyun?" I asked her
"What if, he's your brother?" she said while pointing out the street.
There was my brother with a flower bouquet on his hand, and Jisoo came to him. He handed her the flower and kissed her cheek. Then, he opened up the car door for her, after that, they left.
"Oh..my..God.." I was shocked
"Are you okay?" Jennie asked me
"As shocked as I am right now, somehow deep down, I know they will end up together"
"How? I'm not sure that Jisoo has feeling for your brother before. Is your brother like her?" she asked
"Not really, maybe because I love them so much, and I want they end up together. I love Jin hyung so much, he's more like a father to me more than my own. We're typical a chaebol family with a busy parent. My father is really strict to us, he thought us to be a business man since we're young. But, Jin hyung didn't want us to lose our childhood or teenage life, so he protected us from my father pressure, and he bears all the responsibilities by himself. He always think of others first, before his. He always takes care of me and Namjoon hyung. So, I know, when he is in love, he will go all out, he will fall hard and protect her at all cost. And I think, Jisoo deserve that. In other hand, Jisoo is very caring to other, she could take care of Jin hyung, like she take care of me. Jin hyung will be in a good hand" I explained to her "I hope, they will last long and end up together" I sighed
"What if they don't?" she asked
"It would break our relationship"
