TARA
I can't believe I did what I did. The realization hit me when I was under the shower, cleaning up the sticky mess all over my chest. I can't believe I literally just let Lukas fuck my tits. And the way I spoke to him. What the hell got into me? But he looked so stressed out, I thought I could relieve him. I just didn't consider things would get out of hand like they did.
If I'm honest, though. It was fun. I felt embarrassed immediately after, but it was fun. And so hot, because I could see how aroused he was, how much he loved that I was in control. It was crazy and I loved it. I've never done anything like this before. Sure, Aaron was no prude, he taught me a lot. But it feels like Lukas unlocked a kinky side of me I didn't even know existed.
Because it was a rainy day, and because the hickey on my neck was still way too visible, I wore a turtleneck pullover, jeans, and a pair of my favorite low heel boots. One of the reasons why I love Fall is that I can wear this type of outfits. Much to my surprise, when I went into the living room, I found Lukas there waiting for me, the same lunchbox always in his hands. Believe it or not, he keeps packing lunch for me. I don't think even my grandma has ever done that.
Lukas looked sharp, though, much formal than I've ever seen him dressed. "I think you forgot the tie." I teased as I neared him.
"It's the one thing my father doesn't really care about." He sighed, handing me the lunchbox.
"You do know there's a whole cafeteria on campus, right?"
He chuckled as we headed to the front door. "Do you ever eat there?"
"Well, no ..."
"Case in point."
I rolled my eyes, albeit amused, and pushed him out the door. I do appreciate the thought and I always eat what he packs for me. It's actually cheaper than buying takeout and much more peaceful than getting lost in the crowd at the cafeteria. Besides, Lukas is an amazing cook, whatever he prepares is always delicious. I couldn't cook to save my life.
"Oh, I forgot something." Lukas said right when I'd just locked the door. "Wait here." Confused, I didn't move, and when he came back, he handed me a small food bag.
When I looked inside, I saw the rest of the muffins he made this morning. I smiled. "You're spoiling me." I joked.
"I just take care of my baby girl." He winked.
That sounded way too dangerous to my ears, but I didn't want to let him see my mood had changed. "Thanks." I murmured, fighting the urge to eat a third muffin, as we walked to the elevator. "But, for the sake of my peace of mind, and because I don't want to end up in prison, please never make anything even remotely related to strawberries ever again."
Lukas laughed. "I've survived 21 years with this allergy, I know how to stay alive." He joked. "Besides, you love strawberries."
I frowned. "How do you know that?"
He shrugged. "I just do."
Weird. "Well, anyway, yes, I love strawberries, but is that really the kind of death you want?" I teased, trying to lighten up the mood. "I can think of a lot better ways to leave this world."
Lukas smirked a little. "Up to me? I'd drown in those." He hinted at my boobs, which I unconsciously covered with my arms, causing him to laugh. "Dickie sure loved being buried in between them."
I rolled my eyes. "Ugh, stop talking about your dick in third person, it's really creepy." Lukas merely laughed as he followed me into the elevator. I hadn't even realized we were heading out together, for the first time ever, until we both pressed the button for the ground floor.
As if on cue, he asked: "Do you need a lift or you wanna walk to campus?"
Normally, I'd have picked a walk, since campus isn't far away, but upon checking my watch, I saw I was cutting it really close. "Well, someone delayed me, so ... I'll have to accept the offer this time." I guess maybe we can work this out in the end. We can fit a friendship into this ... roommates with benefits deal we're embarking on. I just need to remind myself, over and over again, that just because he acts cute and nice, doesn't mean he wants more than sex.
🔥🔥🔥
"We really need to stop meeting like this." Sean joked. "May I?" He hinted at the seat next to me. I removed my bag, and let him sit down. "So, how are you?"
"More or less the same as the last time you asked me." I chuckled.
"Hey, you left me on read." He accused jokingly. "I asked a serious question and you completely ignored me." He clutched his chest, feigning hurt. "I'm heartbroken."
"You'll survive." I stuck out my tongue to him, and we both laughed. "And your question was, do I need to get up for class?"
"Yes, that's an extremely difficult dilemma, you know." Sean nodded solemnly. "One could say that, the fate of the universe was at stake. Yet Miss Tara Baker left it unanswered! If humanity goes extinct tomorrow, it'll be solely your fault, I'm sorry."
I rolled my eyes, albeit amused. Truth is, I would have replied to his text, but I forgot to when I saw Lukas in his sour mood this morning. Then things happened ... "Well, you're here now. Safe to say that the world will survive another day."
"I wouldn't bet on it." Sean grimaced as he took out his notebook. "Veronique switched all her classes to match my schedule. I see her everywhere."
I couldn't help but gulp. "I'm sorry, but that is ..." I couldn't find the right word without insulting the girl.
"Cuckoo? Cray-cray? You name it." He sighed, evidently stressed out by this whole situation with his ex. "If this goes on, I'll have to file a restraining order." He frowned for a moment. "If they will even let me."
"Why wouldn't they?"
He pointed at himself. "I'm a man."
"So?"
"A man needing a restraining order from a woman is quite rare. They'll probably laugh me out of the precinct."
"Come on, I would believe Boston PD is more advanced than that."
"Where I'm from, they totally would." He rolled his eyes. "Then again, I'm from a very small town."
"Ah. Let me guess, people there think if they open their minds, their brain will fall out." I joked, well aware of how narrow-minded some small-town people can be.
"Precisely." Sean nodded. "Hell, I don't think they even recognize gay marriage as an actual marriage. Let alone fathom the idea that a man could possibly be stalked by a woman."
"Sounds a lot like my town." I grimaced at the thought. "But regardless, if your ex is stalking you, you should report her."
"I mean, she's really innocuous for the most part." Sean sighed as we both got ready to take notes when the professor arrived. "I just wish she'd catch the hint. We broke up, it's that simple." He paused for a moment, then chuckled: "I guess there is indeed a reason why they say the hottest ones are the craziest." I merely laughed – kind of quietly, to avoid catching the teacher's attention –, but then Sean added, somewhat alluringly: "I sure hope you're an exception."
Cue my blushing. Luckily, the professor started talking. This kind of flirty comments make me wonder whether Sean and I are really friends or I'm just too oblivious for my own good.
🔥🔥🔥
"Why don't you ever come to the cafeteria?" Sean wondered as we got out of the classroom. "I've never seen you there."
Because my roommate packs lunch for me every day? "I don't like the chaos." That is also true.
"Well, can you make an exception today?" He pouted cutely. "For me?"
I smiled. "Maybe." Good thing they allow food from the outside, because I peeked inside the lunchbox before my last class, and I had no intention of throwing away the delicious-looking meal Lukas prepared: lemon rice, lemon butter fish, and sauteed carrots. I don't care much for carrots, but his note about how they'll improve my eyesight was cute.
Sean and I headed out together, chatting about the lecture and other things, until we reached the ground floor. I nearly fell when, at the last step, I tripped into my own feet, but luckily someone caught me. I thought it was Sean, but there was something way too familiar in the person's scent, and the voice in my ear just confirmed it: "How many times has that juicy ass of yours kissed the floor since this morning?"
I blushed, mostly because I was afraid Sean had heard him, and I pulled back, regaining my composure. "I thought you had lunch with your dad."
Lukas sighed, his mood immediately taking a hard fall. "I'm going. I was just coming out of class." On cue, he waved at someone not too far away from us. In the middle of the crowd that was racing to the cafeteria, I could barely see the person, but I could tell it was a girl. "What about you?" Lukas asked, turning back to me.
"I was just going to the cafeteria with Sean." I hinted at the person next to me, who was seemingly busy staring at my roommate, as if awestruck. I guess even guys can tell this man is way too gorgeous to be human.
"Sean?" Lukas' eyes snapped to my friend, and I would dare say there wasn't much friendliness in his gaze.
"Right." I chuckled to myself, introducing them: "Um, Lukas, this is my friend Sean. Sean, this is Lukas, my roommate." I almost laughed when they, in unison, repeated the words friend and roommate.
After a few seconds, Sean shook out of his confusion, and stretched a hand toward Lukas. "Nice to meet you."
My temperamental roommate merely grunted a response, not even bothering to shake his hand. "Is this the friend you mentioned?" He merely asked, staring the poor guy down. If Sean had known the Big Bad Bennet back in high school, that steely gaze would have probably frightened him, but he seemed merely confused as to why a guy he just met was shooting him such a glare.
At first, I wasn't sure what Lukas meant, then I remembered last night, when we talked about me not having friends, I mentioned I met one recently, and Lukas asked me whether it was a guy or a girl. I guess now he had the answer he wanted. "Uh, yeah, him."
"You talk about me, huh? I'm flattered." Sean joked, clutching a hand over his heart as he feigned happy tears, to which I laughed, bumping his shoulder with mine. Lukas didn't look amused at all, though.
"Are you alright?" I wondered. When I brushed his arm, he shook from his reverie, but in a worse mood.
"I'm fine." Lukas spat coldly. "I gotta go." And with that, he left. What the hell was that?
