"Sorry, I didn't think you'd be sick like this."

Hearing Enoch's muttering, I blinked slowly.

Even though it wasn't big enough for the three of us, Kayden's robe covered us like a blanket.

I feel like I'll live a little when my body warms up.

After I came back to my senses, embarrassment came over me again. I cleared my throat and tried to make excuses.

"Come to think of it, I think it's just fatigue. I haven't slept well for a few days and yesterday I fell asleep uncomfortably up in a tree. I've been in a state of tension."

Then Enoch lowered his head and looked at me, smiled, and patted my head.

"Get some rest for now. We'll look after you."

"Yeah. Get some rest, Margaret."

Even without them saying anything, my eyelids were slowly closing. Contrary to my will, I fell asleep as if in a stupor

***

I slept really well for a long time. It had been such a long time since I had slept so soundly, so I felt a sense of full happiness.

Feeling my lighter and refreshed body, I slowly opened my eyes.

I am still in the arms of Enoch and Kayden. It was very cold at night, but it was hot after I recovered.

"I—"

"Looks like you are awake."

"Are you awake, Margaret?"

I just quietly opened my mouth, but they asked me at the same time.

They really don't seem to have slept a wink while sharing their body heat with me. A sense of guilt came along with a sense of apology.

"I am fine now. Thanks."

Carefully, I got out of their arms and sat up. Then they got up after me. Kayden yawned as he stretched, and Enoch was massaging the back of his neck, probably stiff.

"Looks like you two couldn't sleep because of me......"

Eunji, who was sleeping curled up under my feet, blinked and slithered up onto my lap. I patted the kid who was acting cute with his face in the palm of my hand.

Then I raised my head.

The two were looking at me with rather blank faces.

"Why?"

Kayden avoided my gaze, scratching his cheek awkwardly.

"I miss yesterday's Margaret."

'Yesterday's me?'

......are you talking about when I asked you to hug me?

Enoch didn't say anything, but his face seemed to agree with Kayden's words.

"I troubled you two yesterday. Sorry."

"What do you mean trouble, it was so good—"

"Lord."

When Enoch called out to Kayden to calm down, he quietly shrugged his shoulders.

Enoch sighed and quietly placed his hand on my forehead. Then, he naturally stroked my cheek.

"The fever seems to have gone down completely."

Kayden added, "Yesterday, your body was extremely cold, then it got really hot. It was so crazy."

"Thank you. Now I'm going to stay up all night, so both of you can rest."

At my words, Enoch and Kayden looked at each other.

He shook his head. "We're in good physical shape, so it's okay, for a day or so."

It's not a lie that they have good stamina, so I had nothing to say.

Before I could say anything more, Enoch got up and picked up his shirt that had fallen on the ground and put it on. Kayden also stood up and held out his hand to me, putting on the shirt he had taken off.

I stood up with Eunji, holding his hand.

"We'd better look for the cabin today. Let's make plans after that." Enoch told me, looking around carefully.

"Margaret, if you don't mind, we'd better look around right now. The effect of the barrier will probably disappear soon."

At Kayden's words, I tidied up my clothes and found a crossbody bag to put on my shoulder.

"All right. I can move right away."

When I answered vigorously, Enoch smiled dryly and patted my head.

"Then, let's get going."

We wandered all the way around looking for Jenas' cabin, but as expected, we couldn't find it.

"How could it have disappeared without a trace?"

Besides, the closer we got to the cabin, the thicker and deeper the fog was, and we had to stop.

"It's dangerous to walk in the fog like this."

"Can't you clear it with magic?"

At my question, Kayden rested his chin on his fist, stared at me, and then looked around.

"I can do it, but...... the magic formula is a bit complicated, so I'd need a lot of mana."

"Then, what about using magic that is effective even if it's not complicated?"

"Well, I can do that much."

In response to Kayden's answer, Enoch drew his sword, stood wary of his surroundings, and spoke to us.

"I'll make sure Eunji and I are on guard, so the two of you can deal with the fog."

Eunji, who was wrapped around my arm, flinched in surprise when his name was called, and then slithered down to the ground, looking at me lightly. Then he sat down next to Enoch and looked at me and flicked his tongue.

I smiled at him and held Kayden's hand. Light emerged from our clasped hands, and Kayden began drawing magic formulas in the air. Kayden, who quickly completed the magic circle, injected mana into it.

However, the problem is that even though the magic circle was activated, no effect occurred.

"What? The magic doesn't work?" Kayden frowned and muttered with a questioning face.

Feeling the fog getting thicker, I said, "I think it would be best to get out of here for now."

Kayden glanced at me. Enoch agreed and added, "Right. If the magic doesn't work, you'd better retreat as Margaret said."

Enoch put his sword into its scabbard and picked Eunji up.

In the end, we had to get out to where there was no fog and hold another countermeasures meeting. It's also on top of the tree.

I sat between the two of them, trying hard not to be embarrassed.

"By the way, do you really have to come all the way up here to have a meeting? You can set a barrier."

Kayden clicked his tongue at my words. "Don't use your mana that way. Save it. You need time to recover. What if you faint again?"

At his words, I quietly lowered my head.

Enoch watched us quietly, then put his index finger to his mouth and gestured to be quiet. Understanding what that meant at once, Kayden and I held our breath and looked down at the tree.

A strange wolf monster with long ears and six legs like a rabbit sniffed the ground.

At that time, I remembered what Jenas had said about monsters liking me.

'Could it be that it's following my scent?'

It wandered and sniffed around as if looking for something, then disappeared after a while.

"Jenas might be borrowing the eyes of it. We'd better avoid it."

Kayden, who was still deep in thought, muttered in a low voice, and Enoch nodded in agreement with him.

"First of all, it would be better to make plans for the future," said Enoch quietly.

Kayden nodded, leaning the back of his head on his palms. "Whether it's Jenas or Anata, we need to go to the cabin to see what they're hiding, but given the circumstances, it doesn't look like we can find any of it......."

"Why don't we look for other clues first? Or find the Saintess."

At my words, the two nodded.

"The location of the supplies is marked on the map that the Saintess has. Maybe she's on her way to the South Island?"

Kayden, who has an excellent memory, looked at me with a face as if he had suddenly remembered something. Come to think of it, it really was. Apparently, the location of the supply was marked next to the bunker.

"Margaret, don't you have a map you drew a long time ago?" asked Kayden.

I shrugged and sighed. "It's all wet."

Then I suddenly remembered that Enoch had opened the crossbody bag to heal my wounds.

I'm sure he saw the notebook I found in the cabin and the piece of cloth that looks like a map of the bunker.

Why didn't he say anything?

I glanced at Enoch. When his eyes met mine, he raised his eyebrows as if to ask, 'What's wrong?'

'Now I have to tell them about the bunker...... don't I?

The bunker can no longer be my plan B. I want to cry at the fact that there is nowhere for me to run away.

I took a bunker map out of my pocket and opened it.

"I have another map."

Kayden, crossing his arms, looked at me in amazement.

"Where did you get this?"
