"Dinner's ready honey!"
A/an (h/c) haired girl called out as she laid the dishes on the table. An albino came into the dining hall with a smile on his face as he sat down on the chair and looked at the dishes as he said,
"Mmm. The food smells really good darling. You've got magic in your hands."
"Thank you, honey. Now, let's dig in."
The (h/c) haired female said as her husband nodded in response and had barely picked up the spoon to start until his phone rang.
He took it out and checked the caller ID, as a frown formed on his lips. He looked at his wife and said in an apologetic tone,
"Sorry (n/n), this is an urgent call. I have to answer it. You can go ahead and start eating first, alright?"
The female sighed softly and nodded in response as he stood up and went out of the kitchen and into his study room to answer the call. As he picked up, the soft husband tone suddenly changed into a stern and dark tone,
"What is it, sir?"
"Your tone sounds very displeased. It seems like I've interrupted something important."
The voice on the other side was hoarse and smug. Shu's eyes glowed red in the dark moonlit room as he spoke further,
"Cut the crap. Just tell me why you called."
"I've got a job for you, Red Eye. The Mancini corporate group has become my rival in business. They've also caused many losses for my business group. Therefore, I'm giving you 24 hours to finish off the head of the group, Wei Mancini. Understood?"
"Understood sir. Consider the job done."
With that, the mysterious man hung up the call as Shu put his phone back into his pocket and went back to the dining room.
(Y/N) Kurenai, his wife was sitting on the chair, waiting for him. The albino smiled softly as he snuck up to her and wrapped his arms around her torso, engulfing her in a backhug.
The girl smiled as she placed her hands on top of his and he put his head on top of hers as he told her,
"I'm so sorry (n/n) but I have to go for some urgent business just now. You'll have to keep all the doors and windows shut until I come back, alright?"
"What?! Again? What 'business' is this that requires you to go for it so late in the night?"
(Y/N) pouted and crossed her arms as she looked up at her husband who sweatdropped a little before replying,
"You know, the clock barely matters for business work unless you're time-bound or have a deadline or something."
"So you're not gonna tell me what you're going to do outside this late at night?"
The girl retorted as the albino sighed softly before pulling away from her and getting in front instead. He leaned down to kiss her head as he muttered,
"I'm sorry, my love. I promise I'll be back before you know it."
And he turned around and left to get ready, leaving the house shortly after. (Y/N) just stared at the dinner table with the untouched dishes as she thought,
'Shu and I have been married for nearly 3 years now. And yet I have no idea what he does at work. He always says that he's at the company, doing paperwork but whenever we're on the phone, I hear weird noises in the background. As if, someone is crying or screaming in pain in the background. I wonder-'
Her thoughts were interrupted when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID and picked up as she asked straightforwardly,
"What is it?"
"My precious (Assassin/Mafia Name), I've got a job for you~"
"Stop with the sultry tone and just speak up the 'job' you've got for me."
"You see, I've sent Red Eye on a mission to finish off my business rival. However, I forgot to consider the number of men, my rival has. I need you to go and give him a hand. He'll get you caught up on the mission details. You've got 24 hours."
"Alright. Be prepared to see the headlines in the newspaper tomorrow."
With that, the (e/c) eyed girl hung up the call and stood up as she muttered to herself,
"Well, since Shu isn't here, I might as well go to my work as well."

Author's P.O.V.
There're certain things, the reader needs to be caught up with:
• Shu Kurenai, a.k.a., your husband was a member of the underworld Mafia group, Raging Flames. He went by the name of Red Eye in Raging Flames. Nobody, not even the leader had the details of his personal life.
• Even though Shu and (Y/N) were married for nearly 3 years now, he kept his identity as a mafia member a secret because he didn't know how (Y/N) would react after knowing his identity.
• He's one of the top assassins in the Mafia group. Everyone feared him.
• (Y/N), his wife, too was an assassin in the same Mafia group. Her identity was also a secret as she didn't know how Shu would react.
• She went by the name (Assassin/Mafia Name) and was skilled at killing. When Shu was gone to 'work', she too went to do her 'work'.
• (Y/N) was the right-hand assassin of the leader of Raging Flames.
Alright now, let's continue with the story.

At the Mancini residence:
It was a dark moonless night and the big mansion was guarded by more than a hundred guards. As if they knew, someone was coming for Mr. Mancini's life.
But these guards were unable to recognize the imposter who was freely roaming around in the mansion, looking for Mr. and Mrs. Mancini's bedroom.
'Where could the bedroom possibly be? Ugh! It's so hard to find! How do these Mancinis remember their way around such a big house without a navigation map?!'
The red-eyed albino thought as his eyes were covered by the black glasses of his disguise. It had been half an hour already but he still had no clue where the room could be.
He turned round a lonely dark hallway and was about to check the rooms until a palm was placed on his mouth and he was pulled into one of the rooms.
Shu's eyes widened in shock as he quickly used his elbow to hit the intruder but the intruder's reflexes were faster.
The intruder grabbed his arm and pinned him to the wall before he could even register what was happening. Their face was covered by a black mask and they smirked at him as they asked,
"Surprised? Boss told me to lend you a hand with the job~"
"What the- are you-"
"Yes, I am (Assassin/Mafia name) and you're Red Eye, aren't you?"
Before he could finish asking, she completed the sentence for him. Letting go of his wrists, she stepped away from him as he asked again,
"I was going to ask...are you my (Y/N)?"
The masked girl's eyes widened not at him knowing her real name but at the word 'my'. His voice too, was sounding strangely familiar to her.
For a good few seconds, both of them stood frozen stiff in their positions, staring at each other and trying to process what was going on.
"You...are you...Shu...?!.."
She asked softly, slowly recovering from the shock of the realization. By this time, the albino too had recovered from the shock as he nodded in response and said softly,
"And you're (Y/N), the mysterious top-class assassin of Raging Flames."
Before (Y/N) could say anything further, both of them heard the alarm system in the house go off as a guard burst open the door of the room and yelled,
"THE INTRUDER IS HERE! THEY HAVE AN IMPOSTER ON THEIR SIDE! SEIZE THEM QUICKLY!"
In the blink of an eye, several guards rushed into the room and surrounded both of them. (Y/N) and Shu stood back to back as the albino told the girl,
"Let's save this talk for later. For now, we've another job to deal with."
"Yeah, right. Let's finish this in the old style."
And the couple went on a little killing spree as they made a bloody red mess of the Mancini mansion whilst finishing the mission.

After finishing the mission and reaching back home:
In the bedroom of the Kurenai mansion:
The two mafia assassins lay in the bed, cuddling each other, tired after killing the large number of people.
"So...this was the work that you always did when you said you've some 'urgent business to attend to'?"
The (h/c) haired girl asked in a quiet voice as the albino stroked her hair and nodded, feeling guilty for not telling her about his identity before.
"And...was this how you spent your time when I went to 'work'?"
The (e/c) eyes of the girl looked down in shame as she nodded slowly. She should've told him about this before. He's her husband so he deserved to know before anyone else.
"Well...I guess...both of us being a part of the same mafia group isn't that bad after all..."
(Y/N) looked up at him with a questioning gaze as Shu quickly defended himself,
"I-I mean Raging Flames doesn't do any human trafficking, drug dealing, or smuggling, right? Boss only asks us to kill the bad mafia groups who do these and who're his rivals in business."
The girl chuckled a little as she pulled the albino closer to herself and said,
"Right. If seen that way, it's not all that bad."
"You know, I've got some good news too."
Shu smiled as he kissed her on the head and continued,
"Boss told me that after he retires, I'll be the new leader of Raging Flames."
"Wha- Really?! He's going to retire after like 2 months, isn't he?"
The red-eyed male giggled before nodding,
"Yes. And you know our boss doesn't have any natural inheritors, right? That's why I'll be getting the mafia group and his business."
"Then after getting in charge, promise me that you'll not be using such harsh ways as our boss does to deal with business rivals."
"I promise that. I'd rather defeat them with my business success, instead of killing them."
"That's my Shu. And..."
"And?"
Her voice trailed off as Shu asked and raised an eyebrow as the girl continued,
"No more secrets from each other, alright?"
"Alright. Same goes for you as well, (n/n)."
"I know. No more secrets, I promise."
"Let's sleep now then? It's already 1:30 a.m."
The albino chuckled softly as he nodded and pulled the girl closer to himself as they cuddled each other in the blanket.
He turned off the bedside lamp before kissing his wife on the forehead and closing his eyes.

(Y/N) muttered sleepily as she closed her eyes too and the last thing Shu said before falling asleep was,
"I love you too, (n/n)."

BONUS:
5 years later:
"I'm home!"
The albino called out as he closed the front door of the house and took off his shoes. He'd barely set foot on the floor when he was suddenly tackled down in a bear hug.
"Welcome back daddy!"
(Son's name) grinned as Shu chuckled and took him in his arms as he asked,
"How's my little boy?"
"I'm great daddy! Mommy taught me how to defend myself from a bad person today!"
(S/N) smiled as he hugged him tighter. He was 4 years old but still knew how to knock out a person. Just then (Y/N) also came to them as she complimented,
"He's getting better at punching and kicking."
"That's great."
"Mommy. Daddy."
(S/N) called out as both of them looked at him and (Y/N) asked,
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Can I have a sister? I always feel lonely when you and daddy go to the bedroom and don't come out for hours."
He said with innocent puppy eyes as the (h/c) haired female's ears reddened and the albino smirked as he looked at her from the corner of his eye and told (S/N),
"Sure thing, (S/N). Mom and dad will work on getting you a sister tonight."
"Wha-"
(Y/N)'s face was completely red at this point and before she could complete, (S/N) cut her off,
"YAY! I'M GONNA GET A SISTER!"

I know a little bit more than before about Mafia and stuff now so hopefully this came out as you wanted it to be. ('；ω；｀)
