You knocked on the door, waiting for them to open up. You were too busy talking to your brother, Jack, about something to realize that you were leaning on the door. Jack obviously noticed, but decided not to say anything.
"H-" You let out a small yelp, falling onto the girl. You found yourself on top of this girl, your hands around both sides of her head. You went red, standing up properly. "I'm so sorry." You held out your hand for her to take, that she took. Jack was giggling in the hallway, but you shut him up with a glare. You took a step back, seeing that it was two of them. A blonde and a brunette, the brunette being the shortest out of the four of you. "Hi, I'm y/n, this is my brother, Jack." You pointed towards the boy in the back.
"I'm Jenna." The girl you toppled over introduced, she was the brunette. "This is my friend Maddie, we're roommates." You nodded, pursing your lips a little. "How can we help you?"
"You guys just moved in, right?" They both nodded. "How old are you guys?" You wanted to make sure they were of age.
"We're both 20." Maddie answered, stepping up towards the door. From the look in her eyes, you could tell that she was eyeing someone and you were pretty sure it wasn't you. "What about you guys?"
You looked down at Jenna, then back at her roommate. "I'm 21, he's 19." You pointed towards Jack. "But I was just wondering if you two wanna come over to my place for a drink. I usually do that when we get new neighbors on this floor. They're usually students as well."
"Your apartment? Is it not the both of you." You and Jack looked at each other before shaking your heads.
"My roommate is out at his girlfriend's right now, so my brother just stepped in. He just wanted to see if he wanted to move into the building as well." You explained. "If you guys need anything I'm just next door." You pointed towards your apartment.
After a bit more of small talk, you decided to retreat back to your apartment before you left for practice. "They seem pretty cool." Maddie hummed as Jenna shut the door behind you. "I think that was a great first impression."
Jenna raised an eyebrow. "You only think that because you were eyeing Jack the whole time, and because you think its funny that she fell on top of me." She had her arms crossed and hip cocked to the side.
"They're both pretty hot, it definitely runs in the family." Maddie shrugged. "I'm gonna be in my room."

Jenna woke up to loud blaring from the other side of the wall. She glanced at her phone, it was 4:45 in the morning. What in the fuck.
After a bit more of ringing, it was turned off. Jenna groaned and got up. It was the weekend, who on earth is up this early? She padded her way towards the door of her apartment, opening it to peak her head side to side.
"Hey Jenna." You smiled, bag hanging off of one shoulder. "You're up early." You were wearing a hoodie with some sweatpants, it was clear you were going out.
Jenna could tell that it was you who woke her up. "I could say the same about you." She motioned towards your clothes.
"Yeah," You made a face. "I gotta head out though, see you later." You walked off. Jenna followed you with her eyes but never moved from her spot.
Since then, every Saturday, she would hear an alarm at around 5 in the morning. She could tell that it was you, and it was beginning to annoy her. A lot.
But every time she tried to confront you about it, she just couldn't. You'd greet her with a smile, and it was like she forgot what she was even mad about. She's talked to Maddie about it, who told Jack about it, but it seems that it's either you sleep in by accident or Jenna has to suffer. You felt bad about waking up Jenna, but the last time you slept in by accident, you got yelled at.
This time, however, the alarm was even louder. And it just kept on going. Usually it would get shut off within at least a few seconds, but this one? It's been going off for at least fifteen minutes. Jenna tried to cover her ears with her pillow, or maybe even putting her music in. Nothing worked.
Jenna finally decided to get up and yell at you about it. Once and for all. She was so tired that she straight up went over to your apartment and banged at the door. She banged on it a bit more, leaning onto the doorway with her forehead on the door itself.
You were slightly awake from the alarm, but the banging on the door made you actually wake up. You pulled on your tank top and dragged your feet to the door. You finally opened the door, it almost slamming open and a body falling onto you. You quickly caught her, helping her up. "This seems familiar." You joked, but your voice was hoarse. Jenna mumbled a small apology and stood up straight. "Why are you banging on my door at 2 in the morning? It's like thursday, what could you possibly need?"
It was then that Jenna finally rubbed her eyes, getting a clear look at your attire. You weren't wearing the usual hoodie and sweatpants that she'd catch you wearing, instead, you were wearing a white wife-beater tank top with some random boxers. "Hold on, don't you usually go out by this point?" Jenna pointed at your clothes.
Your eyebrows were knitted together, you were confused. "Um, no?" You said, slowly. "Like I said, it's two in the morning, and it's a thursday." Jenna was also confused.
"Then why the fuck has your alarm been ringing for so long?" She motioned her arms, trying to jog your memory. "It's still going now."
You slowly turned your head inside your apartment. "No, I'm pretty sure my alarm isn't on." You took a step back. "Come in." You went inside, just to check your room, Jenna trailing behind you. "See?" You held up your alarm clock. "No alarms. It's not mine."
Jenna wrapped her arms around herself. "If it's not you, then is it your roommate?" You shook your head, leaving your own room and going to open his. Just before you could open the door, Jenna stopped you. "Wait! What if he's asleep, that's why the alarm's been ringing."
You rolled your eyes, opening the door, revealing that his alarm clock was also not ringing. "He's a heavy sleeper, but not heavy enough to ignore an alarm clock for two hours." You crossed your arms. "Are you sure it's not in your own apartment?" Jenna shook her head, trying not to let out a shiver. "Jesus, are you cold in here? Do you need a sweater?"
"No, I'll be fine, I'll just grab one from my room." You nodded, following the girl. You made sure that you left the apartment open, just so you don't lock yourself out. You looked to see her trying to open the door. "Fuck." She tried jiggling her doorknob.
"I don't think that's going to make it open." You leaned against the wall, watching her struggle. "It's cold out here, let me get you a sweater." She sighed and followed you inside your apartment. You disappeared into your room for a few minutes, giving Jenna some time to look around at the different parts of your apartments.
You guys had a wall with a few shelves and pictures all around it. There were three sections. One had a bunch of hanging medals with pictures of you with a bunch of other (what it seemed like) athletes. The next one was full of pictures of you and your family or your roommate and his family. The last one was filled with... were those bras and panties?
Jenna scrunched her face up, she didn't want to touch them, so she looked at them. Those were definitely used. You emerged from your room with a hoodie in your hand, you grimaced when you noticed that Jenna was looking at (what your roommate called it) the wall of game. "Yeah, those aren't mine." You told her, standing next to her. "Jamie calls it the wall of game, where he shows off the amount of hookups he's had with their underwear. It's gross and I have to yell at him to take it down whenever we have older people coming in."
"Doesn't he have a girlfriend?" She asked, a little confused as to why a guy in a committed relationship would do this, especially if she usually comes over.
You let out a huff. "For now." You handed her the hoodie. "Take it." Jenna unfolded the sweater to see that it was a team sweater, with a last name on it. She slipped it on, it was super comfortable, and it smelt like you. Something she could definitely get used to. You took a seat, opening your phone. "What's your roommate's number? I'd get it from Jack but I'm pretty sure he's asleep. We could call her to open the door."
It was then that Jenna realized why there was an alarm in the first place. Maddie was out of town and must have left her phone. "Fuck!" She slapped a hand to her forehead. "I'm so stupid. Maddie isn't here."
"What do you mean she isn't here?" You hoped to god that Maddie was just staying over at someone else's and had her keys on her.
"I'm pretty sure Maddie was out of town, she probably left her phone." It was quiet now. "Hey, the alarm stopped." She pointed up, she was right. There was no more sound. "Her phone probably died because it wouldn't stop ringing."
You sighed, leaning back. "I can check if your window is open. I'll go through the fire escape." You got up, opening up your window to check if hers was open. You tried opening it from the outside, but it didn't work. "Fuck." You slammed the window with an open palm. You jumped back into your own window. "It's locked on the outside." Jenna started to pace around, trying to think of options.
"Could we call a locksmith? Or maybe ask the university? They own this place, right? They must have an extra key." You took a seat on the couch, knowing that at this point, it was hopeless.
You rubbed your face. "You can do that, but it's pretty fuckin expensive. The people across from us got locked out, and the University charged them for losing the keys, when it was right inside. A locksmith is also pretty expensive." You explained, arms spread on the couch. "When does Maddie get back?"
"This Sunday." Jenna crossed her arms over top your hoodie. You had to say, it was pretty cute because since it was pretty loose on you, it was big on her.
"Do you have any classes tomorrow- well today?" She shook your head. "Unless you have someone else to stay with, you could stay with us until Maddie gets back." Jenna chewed on her bottom lip, weighing her options. She also left her phone inside the room, so she wouldn't really have anywhere to go. Plus she wanted to get payback for being woken up at four in the morning every saturday.
"There's only two rooms." Jenna took a seat by you.
You shrugged, you weren't bothered. "As disgusting as this couch can be, you can take my room. It's only for a few nights anyways." You let out a yawn as you shifted in your place. "I'm just gonna..." You leaned your head back, getting comfortable.

Seeing you all cuddled up with the girl next door was not something that Jamie expected. "Woah." He mumbled as he exited the room. "Y/n?" You grimaced, pulling your head up and moving it around. You weren't able to sit up properly, Jenna leaning on you prevented that. "Is this the girl next door?" You nodded, eyes half open. "Holy shit." He laughed.
"Can you not?" You stretched your neck. "It fucking hurts." Just then, Jenna stirred. You quickly shushed the guy.
He raised his hands up. "I didn't fuckin' say anything." You rolled your eyes at him. "I'm gonna head off to class, have fun." He wiggled his eyebrows at you as he left the apartment.
"Fuckin' guy." You removed your arms from around and stood up to stretch.
Jenna pushed herself up. She noticed how the bottom of your shirt rode up, not too high, but high enough to reveal a tattoo on your hip. "What time is it?"
"Uhhh," You turned on your phone. "13:30." You told her. She furrowed her eyebrows at you, what in the fuck does that mean? "It's 1:30." You clarified.
Jenna stood up. "You have your time in military time?" You nodded, heading towards your room.
"Duh," You grabbed a regular shirt, pulling off the one you had on. Jenna quickly turned around, getting up to look at the wall again. "It's a lot easier math-wise." You came out of the room and shut the door behind you. "You keep looking at that wall."
Jenna looked over her shoulder to see you, in some band shirt and sweats. "Oh, I was just wondering. What do you do every saturday at four in the morning?" You glanced at her, chuckling and standing beside her.
"I do sports." You answered. "These are just some of the things I've gotten for them." Jenna's head turned to you. "I have more in my room, but Jamie wanted to put some of them up."
Her eyes caught onto another picture but it wasn't where your awards were. It was with your family. "You were such a cute baby." She cooed, pointing towards the picture of you and your mother. She looked back to you, narrowing her eyes on you. "Yeah, you still look the same."

"Oh, she's still here." Jamie said, surprised. Your arm was wrapped around Jenna's shoulder, she tore her eyes away from the TV and looked at your roommate, while you never looked away.
"She's locked out of her apartment, so she's staying with us for the next few days." You explained, eyes still trained on the show that was playing. Jenna held up a hand for a small wave before looking back at the TV.
Jamie raised his eyebrows. "You mean she's staying with you." He called out, his voice quieting as he entered his room. You furrowed your eyebrows, but still not looking away. "I'm going to be gone for the weekend." You looked at the guy, who was wiggling his eyebrows once more.
"Gross, we don't need to know that you're gonna be piping Jordan all weekend." You gagged as you went back to the TV. "Just go leave." You waved him off, he just chuckled and waved on his way out. Once he was out of the apartment, you turned to Jenna. "I'd offer to take his room, but I have a feeling he hasn't washed his sheets in a long time." The girl let out a small laugh, leaning into you.
Soon enough, Jenna fell asleep on you once more. You scooped her up, making sure that you're able to bring her into your bed without hurting her. You made sure that she was comfortable before grabbing a pillow and blanket from your closet to sleep on the couch.
When you woke up to head to practice, you decided to leave a note.
Hey Jenna, I'm off at practice, chances are, the only reason why you're seeing this is because I haven't gotten back yet. So, I suggest just staying because you don't wanna get locked out of my apartment as well lol. You're free to do whatever you want, I guess? My laptop is in my desk and computer pin is 4285673

Jenna got up, for once (weirdly enough), not awoken by an alarm. She found your note on the bedside table, giggling a little.
"Yo, dude, I figured you wanted to shower at some point, so I went to target and got some underwear." You called out as you entered the apartment. You looked around, finding Jenna not in the living room or kitchen. "Jenna?"
"Right here!" She called out. You peered into your room seeing that the girl was on your computer with headsets on. You moved your head to see that she was playing Minecraft. She pulled away the headphones. "What's up?"
You were pointing at her, a confused smile on your face. "Why do you have headphones on if you're playing Minecraft?" You pulled up a stool and sat beside her.
"I don't know, I was just playing music." She disconnected them, your playlist playing through the speakers. "D'you like what I built?"
Your jaw slacked as you awed at what she made. "You built this within the few minutes I was gone?" You pointed at the screen.
"You were gone for like two hours."

Over the next few days, you and Jenna spent so much time together. You learned everything there is about the girl, and vice versa. You spent so much time with her, that you realized that you might just be catching feelings for her.
Unintentionally, you both started sleeping in the same bed. One night, you just collapsed onto the bed and fell asleep. Jenna was about to sleep on the couch but you stopped her. You held her close to you as you both fell asleep. Jamie managed to snag a few pictures but he didn't want to get killed by you.
Maddie was finally back now, meaning that you won't be hanging around so often and you might just go back to how it was. Maybe a bit more lingering looks and touches, but you were so busy that you might not visit them during your off time.
"I hope rooming with her wasn't so bad." Maddie joked as you chatted with her. Jenna immediately hopped into her own bed.
You chuckled, waving it off. "Just remind her to bring her keys around more often." You nodded. "Alright, I'm gonna go." Jenna got back out and gave Maddie a look, telling her to leave them alone for a second. "What's up?"
"I have something for you." You furrowed your eyebrows, you noticed how she had a hand behind her back. She pushed onto her toes to close the gap between you guys.
Just before your lips could touch, she rang an alarm as loudly as possibly. You let out a yelp and jumped back. You placed a hand to your chest as you try to calm your heart. "Jesus fuck, Jenna."
"Payback for all those Saturdays." She shrugged, a smug look on her face. You just shook your head in amusement.
You raised your hands in defense. "Not my fault I have early morning practices." You dropped your hands. "If there's nothing else, I'm gonna go back to my apartment."
Jenna glanced behind her for a second, seeing Maddie give her an encouraging look. Right before you left, she grabbed your collar and pressed your lips together.
