Traveling for the most part was pretty average for the blond Jinchuriki. He didn't know to much about Tsunade Senju outside of what he has read. His parents said she was extremely powerful but hates the village. Looking at the Pervy Sage, he couldn't help but wonder if maybe they should have sent someone other than him.
"Hey! Pervy Sage. Where are we going anyway. Do we know where she is?" Naruto asked while checking over his yumi.
Looking back at the blond while he was walking, "No. I have some spies though that can possibly help us find her."
"Are we going to train at all?" Naruto asked almost sounding bored, "I'm glad you asked!"
Holding his hand out Jiriaya created an orb of chakra. Naruto was awestruck by the ability. Walking over to a tree Jiriaya smashed the ball of spinning chakra into the blowing out the back side of the tree causing it to fall.
"Woah!! That was awesome!" Jiriaya chuckled, "This is one of the two jutsu that your father left you." Naruto gave him a sad smile.
"Now you can start this while we walk." Stopping by a small creek Jiriaya filled a couple balloons with water. Pulling the first one up he spun the water in a circular motion exploding the balloon, "I want you to focus your chakra into the balloon. Enough chakra to pop it."
It was mid day now. Naruto was pulsing his chakra into his hand in increments to get a sense of the task. By dinner they had made it to a small village with an Inn near the edge of the village.
As they entered the village Jiriaya heard a pop directly behind him. Seeing a smiling Naruto, "Alright sensei! I'm ready for the next task!"
Jiriaya looked at him in shock, 'He already got it damned over powered brat.' "First we find a place to eat. We will start the next task tomorrow before we leave the village."
Wondering through the village they found a small barbeque joint to eat at, Before we go inside I want you to make ten shadow clones with different henges."
Before the sage knew it he was looking at several different people. All ranging in ages and heights.
Jiriaya had the clones go out to get any relevant data on Tsunade. Sending the the adults clones to casinos with some of Naruto's cash and the children to the local stores and restaurants.
"So Naruto what else are you working on?" Jiriaya asked looking at the mini Minato, "Well I am trying to develop my sealing skills. I have been working on my wind and fire jutsu to. My wind release is way stronger than my fire." He said with a mouth full of food.
"Well may I make a suggestion?" Naruto looked at his sensei and nodded, "You should try and find a better way to hold your arrows. A quiver is fine if you stay fixed in a single position."
Looking at the blond boy he saw the realization, "Shinobi fight ever changing battles. Your Uzumaki wave Taijutsu is powerful but what is a core tenant?"
"It flows like water. Changing to the fight at hand." Putting his fork down Naruto pulled out his a strafe seal and looked it over. Draw several varying smaller designs. Jiriaya finished meal while watching the boy work.
Finishing their meal Naruto's clones dispersed. All of their memories hit him at once. "Sensei. It looks like she owes a lot of money here she headed North to one of the next villages."
Jiriaya gave him a proud smile, "Great job Naruto. Let's get a hotel and we will leave in the morning."
Soon enough the two Leaf ninja were checked in. Jiriaya looked at the boy with a grin, "Okay stay here, I have um research to do." Before Naruto could respond the older ninja was gone leaving Naruto staring at the closed window.
"Damn pervert." Naruto pulled his scrolls out again and was looking over his seals he currently has. After his mission in the waves, Sara helped him improve his prisoner seals. On top of that he had , gravity seals, summoning, storage, and now stasis which Sara taught him.
She had taught him how to seal powerful entities away into objects as well. Unlike Kurama, apparently the Uzumaki used to face beings and monsters from other dimensions and realities that somehow crossed over to their world. Sara and Kenshi both facing these kind of creatures before but it had been over a decade.
Naruto remembered seeing things where ninja would hide shiruken in storage seals on their arms or wrists. He could maybe do something similar on his. Drawing a seal out he placed it on his wrist with four arrows in it. Pushing his chakra through he summoned the first arrow. Dropping it he summoned the next. It was fifteen seconds to summon the second. 'To slow.'
Breaking him out of his thoughts was two powerful chakra signatures approaching. Closing his eyes he found not just them but three more signatures approaching the building from rooftop.
Quickly putting on his weapons. He placed two clones near the door ready to pounce. A third clone stood where he normally would, he was ready to leave as soon as the big signatures arrived. In minutes the two enemy shinobi stood in front of his door. Sensing the attack of one of them he jumped out of the window.
Making his way to the roof tops he started running. Stopping to look back he noticed three men dressed in Anbu attire with their Leaf hiate scratched through. Anbu level Shinobi would be tough.
Training Ground Seven Before Invasion
Team seven practiced team moves. Shikamaru using his shadows. Mito moving in close while Naruto fired arrows at the copy ninja. Moments later Kakashi had all three kids on their backs, "Where did you go wrong?"
"You used quick precise assassination style moves. We were to slow." Shikamaru pouted. "Yes but not only that. I was an Anbu. What are they used for?"
The blond answered, "Mostly assassination. Capture and recovery, they are essentially shock teams that move in and out quickly." Naruto said contemplating.
The Uchiha snapped her fingers, "Attrition! They fight fast and quick, if the battle becomes a drawn out slug fest you can win!"
A proud smile crept under his mask, "That's right. Though some Anbu are able to go into open warfare it's not how they are trained. If you can outlast the initial battles you chances of survival goes up. Make them work for it."
Present
Creating a few dozen clones Naruto sent them to distract the a enemy Anbu. Memories of his clones at the hotel hit him letting the Jinchuriki know they were defeated so he was on limited time.
Finding a small clearing Naruto prepared for battle. Two of the three Anbu landed in front of him. A memory of an arrow piercing the other's chest appeared in his head, "You know you can surrender now and we won't have to fight" he grinned.
"We cannot. Lord Danzo has been tasked to take you for a greater purpose." Naruto's smile turned devilish, "Fine. Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Nearly a hundred clones surrounded the Anbu. In a mad charge they moved in arrows flying from all direction. Using the clones as cover Naruto moved through them waiting for an opening. Drawing an arrow he fired hittingon of the Anbu in the shoulder while he was distracted.
Dodging the Kunai Naruto jumped up to see him impaled by a wind infused wazikashi from one of his clones. Smiling Naruto took the opportunity, "Wind Release: Wind Gale Wolf!"
Seven wolves appeared and immediately darted between clones towards the last Anbu. The ninja jumped to avoid the wolves. Naruto smiled as he an arrow with an explosive tag. Mixing with the wind chakra resulting in a massive explosion.
As the dust cleared Naruto could see the now dead shinobi. Dispelling his clones, he attempted to retreat. A wind bullet grazed him making him jump back preparing for the fight.
A man lowered his arms covered in bandages. One over his left eye. The other man had a massive sword and shark like features. "Jinchuriki. Just surrender and come with us."
Drawing an arrow he faced the men, "Not a chance cyclops." Chuckling to himself as he thought of his sensei. "Danzo, let me take his legs. That should make him pretty passive."
"No he could die from his injuries. We need to be smart. He managed to kill three of my Anbu after all." Naruto got tired of waiting and fired a wind infused arrow. Danzo was quick reflecting it. The other man pulled the blade off his back and attacked.
Too fast for Naruto to dodge he used his yumi to redirect the attack. In an explosion of splinters he Yumi shattered to hundreds of little pieces. Before he could shake away the shock Danzo punched him in the stomach knocking the blond into the air.
Danzo and Kisame watched the jinchuriki smash into the ground creating a crater. Approaching the edge they saw Naruto pushing himself up, " Give up boy."
Before he could respond though Jiriaya appeared with a girl slung over his shoulder, "Sorry I'm late!"
Glaring at his sensei, "Damn it you perv! What took you so long." Jiriaya just laughed before turning serious, "Danzo. Working with the Akatsuki?"
"None of your concern. Heard your sensei foolishly died to your teammate. If I had been Kage it would never of happened."
"You are a fool Danzo. Always hungry for power that you could never have." Before he could react Danzo fired a wind bullet at the Sannin, "Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!" Naruto watched in awe a the dragons head exploded and sent both Kisame and Danzo flying backwards.
Both enemies stood up to see not one but two giant toads facing them. Naruto stood on top of a warrior toad while Jiriaya was on top of Gamabunta.
Realizing they were running out of time Danzo turned to face Kisame, "We must leave."
"What?! We can't leave without the brat." Shaking his head, "No. Jiriaya himself is tough for us to defeat. The Jinchuriki is also powerful." Hearing the leaf Shinobi move to attack Danzo summoned his own powerful summon and used it as a distraction to flee.
Before they could do anything the Akatsuki was gone. Naruto leaned back and was instantly supported by the sannin, "Good job kid."
Giving the man a beaming smile before walking over to his destroyed yumi, "They are after the Jinchuriki." Naruto stated as he looked down at what used to be his weapon.
"It would seem so." Jiriaya said quietly as he sealed the bodies of the now dead root members.
"Dad." Looking up he saw Naruto's excited face. "Let's go meet your father and whomever else arrived and we will discuss the situation."
Seeing his dad always made him happy, "Dad!" He yelled as he ran to the old archer. A wave of relief hit Kenshi. Kakashi and Gai were standing next to his father as he ran up and hugged his Kenshi.
"Thank Kami you're okay." He spoke while ruffling his hair. Naruto couldn't hold back his smile, "Come let's go back to the hotel and speak."
After heading back Kenshi filled them in on the ROOT that infiltrated Konoha for him. Apparently they had attacked his home. Sara and Yui had both been home when they attacked. Seven Anbu died in the fighting.
"Are mom and Yui okay?" Looking into the boy's blue eyes, Kenshi could see guilt building. Putting his hand on his shoulder, "It wasn't your fault Naruto."
Kakashi sighed, "We had hoped to arrive before they managed to find you." Naruto smiled, "Well your always late Sensei."
"Just enjoying the adventure called life." He said while giving him an eye smile. Kenshi chuckled at the relationship he had with Kakashi. They were definitely developing a brotherly bond.
"So you know where the Lady Tsunade is?" The old archer asked while looking at the Sannin. Jiriaya nodded, "We believe so. We are going to go and get her tomorrow."
"Good. We will head back to Konoha in the morning as well." Looking back over at Naruto, "So your yumi was destroyed?"
"Yeah. I didn't think that guys sword was that powerful." Kenshi shook his head, "We have been over never underestimating your opponent."
The blond put his head down in shame, "I know. I'm sorry Dad. I'll do better next time."
Smiling Kenshi leaned back, "But taking out three Anbu at your age is amazing. You have become quite strong Naruto." Lik a switch Naruto was beaming.
"M'kay brat. Go to bed Naruto. We will leave first thing tomorrow morning. We have a slug Sanin to retrieve."
"Yes sensei!" Naruto jumped up and headed to bed. Thinking about the fight that he fought. Danzo was the same man who killed Itachi's and Sasuke's dad. Mito told him about the near destruction of her clan.
Now he was after him. Also he seemed to be working with some group called the Akatsuki. These thoughts plagued his mind till the stillness of sleep took over.
The three Jonin and old guard sat in silence for a moment. Kakashi leaned forward clasping his hands together, "So this Akatsuki is after Naruto?"
"Yes. I've have had suspicion of the group for awhile. Before the death of my former apprentices in the by the hands of Hanzo the Salamander they have attained power."
Listening the archer stayed quiet for a moment, "This is going to be an issue. Danzo and Kisame of the Hidden Mist are both powerful enemies. If we had left the village there is no way Sara and I could have defeated them." .
"We will need to keep an eye out for the group." Jiriaya said to nobody in particular.
"This is troubling. To kill someone so youthful." Gai said to the group. "Naruto will become to powerful for them to take soon enough " Kakashi spoke looking at Kenshi with an eye smile. The other warrior could only hope that was true.
