Imperial Calendar 687
City of Sadera
Two entire months before the Washington Incident.
Janus Ramus was a regular 16 year old from the Saderan Empire, he was a simple peasent and is talking to his friends Juilus, Marius and Caius outside the recruitment post in the Capital Sadera.
"Janus thank the God's you've made it." Marius said to his friend.
"So does your mother approve of this?" Juilus asked.
"I didn't tell her actually." Janus replied, smirking.
"What? But didn't she said she doesn't want you to go to war." Marius stated.
"Oh don't worry, c'mon we've already fake our ages so let's go." Janus said, as they enter the post.
As they enter a centurion is giving them a speech about how they are going to defeat the enemy in the other side of the gate and take their land.
"We will march to Alnus Hill, where the Gate stands, and we will enter it. We will not be stopped by them, for we are the Saderan Empire. We will break through their defenses, and we will conquer. We will not be deterred by their numbers, for we are few but mighty. We will not be afraid of their weapons, for we are well-equipped and well-trained. We will not be intimidated by their courage, for we are the bravest of the brave. We will fight with all our might, and we will defeat the enemy. We will take their land and make it our own. We will bring glory to Sadera and honor to ourselves. We will not rest until the enemy is defeated, their gate is breached, and their land is conquered. So let us march to Alnus Hill, and let us take what is rightfully ours. For Sadera! For victory! For glory!" The centurion shouted as the crowd of people of Saderan recruiters throw they're hands it the air and clap as loud to hear into the heavens
The four look at each other as they also clapped and cheer, ready to serve they're Empire.

Two months later
Alnus Hill
After two months of nonstop training they have finally been granted as Soldiers of the Empire.
The sit on they're camp near Alnus Hill looking at the hill itself.
"Hey I'm sick of waiting, when are they gonna come back?" Marius asked, impatiently waiting for the Imperial Saderan expeditionary team to return from the other side of the Gate.
"Don't know, but it's been what like 9 hours and they still haven't returned." Caius replied.
"I wonder how big the other side is." Juilus said, looking up the sky.
"Definitely big judging how long they are talking." Janus replied cleaning his spear.
Suddenly they see something coming out the Gate, they see they're own men but they were extremely smaller the last time they entered, they had lots of slaves but not lot's of men either.
"What the..." Janus said looking at the men.
"W-Why are they so small, I-I thought they were 200,000." Marius stated, looking quite worried.
"Hey they're back!" Caius shouted at the rest of the Imperial Soldiers in the camp.
After a few minutes, the expeditionary forces returned back at the camp, they were wondering why they we're so little of them and why they returned so late.
"Hey, you alright?" Janus asked to a much older Imperial soldier, but the soldier pushed him rambling incoherently.
"M-monsters, I-Iro-on E-Ele-Elephants, th-they k-killed u-us all!" The Imperial soldier said shaking.
"Hey, hey calm down okay, just calm down." Janus said, trying to calm down the soldier.
"N-no! Don't tell me to calm down!" The Imperial soldier shouted.
"Listen, what did you see." Janus tried again.
"THE END! I SAW THE END! THE END OF THE EMPIRE! IT'S DESTRUCTION! IT'S INEVITABLE DESTRUCTION!" The soldier shouted one last time before being tackled by a few Saderan soldiers
"You! You and your friends return to your tents and prepare you're weapons!" A Centurion ordered prompting the four to run back at they're tent.

An hour later
"What in Emroy was that?" Caius asked.
"Don't know but he sounded scared." Marius answered, shaking a bit of what the Imperial Soldier said.
"C'mon you really think such puny world would do against our great Empire?" Juilus said, smirking.
"I don't know... I got a bad feeling about this." Janus replied, uneasy about the situation they are in.
"Well let's relax theirs no way they would last a second against the great Imperial Army of Sadera!" Julius encourage his friends, as they begin to rethink.
"He's right!, We aren't cowards!, We aren't deserters!, We are the Imperial Soldiers!, We are unstoppable!" Caius said as his friends clap and cheer ready to face this "weak" enemy

Another Two Months Later
5:04 AM
"See I told you they would arrive, those weaklings, they are to scared to face us." Julius said, overlooking the Gate.
"He's right, anyway we should get our supplies on our carts." Caius said, as he stands up and gets ready to claim the supplies in the carts.
They made it outside the encampment and grabbed the crates full of supplies and began to walk back inside.
"You think they shouldn't have attacked by now?" Janus asked.
"Come to think about it, why haven't they actually began an attack." Caius replied.
"Probably to scared to face us." Janus replied chuckling.
"Yeah your probably right." Caius replied but suddenly stopped.
"What's wrong?" Janus stopped and turned to look at his friend.
"What are those?" Caius said looking at the sky.
"Are those stars?" Janus said looking at the strange looking objects.
Before they knew it the "stars" dropped down the base just a fe meters away from them and then...
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!
The camp exploded as several Imperial soldiers fly around by the strange explosions.
The two of them also get thrown off and are sent flying back.
"W-WHAT THE HELL?!" Caius shouted, as he tried to stand up.
"HEY! YOU ALRIGHT?!" Janus said, picking his friend up to his feet.
"Yeah *cough* I-I'm alright." Caius responded, before suddenly looking at the camp wide eyed.
"W-wait... Marius and Julius!" Caius shouted.
Janus looked at him with wide eyes realizing their other friends inside the destroyed camp.
"WE HAVE TO GO NOW!" Janus shouted, as they ran towards the destroyed camp.
They look around the camp, it was burning, destroyed, flags destroyed or burning, tower's falling down, and filled with mangled and burning corpses.
"Julius! Marius!" Caius shouted, trying to look for his friends.
Janus looks around before spotting a hand still twitching under pieces of rubble.
He ran towards the hand and began to lift the pieces of wood, he tried to lift them up but felt the burning wood sting his hands.
With determination he began to lift the pieces of wood with more energy and strength with Caius joining him.
Ignoring their pain they finally removed the large piece of wood and saw Juilus alive but right beside him was Marius...
Without a head... and blood spouting out his open neck.
"Marius..." Janus said, covering his mouth and starting to cry.
"Hey Julius, you alright?" Caius said, kneeling down and helping his friend regain back to his senses.
"Marius... He was... He was..." Julius said begining to sob.
"I know... But we need to get out of here." Caius said, as he helped his friend get back up to his feet.
Julius stands back up still eyeing his decapitated friend, the three make it out the camp and turn around to spot the unknown enemy approaching them at Alnus Hill.
"What the hell is that..." Juilus said, as he sees several green carts overlooking them, pointing it's strange long pipe at the camp.
"He have to go... NOW!" Caius shouted, as the three teens began to run even faster.
Just then they hear something and look back to see several beams of light moving so fast the had barely any time to take cover.
The dive straight down a ditch and peaked at Alnus Hill as several streeks of light began to move across the landscape of Alnus.
"What the hell..." Janus said, before suddenly hearing breathing and saw a Legatus who was also in the ditch praying.
"Dear Emroy, please guide me straight towards the Holy Hill of Alnus as I shall henceforth slaughter the enemy with my bare hands..." The Legatus said, before grabbing his sword and shield.
"M-My lord... W-What are you doing?" Caius asked.
"See you boys in the Hill." The Legatus replied, before finally standing up and charges at the Hill.
"Wait, no!" Janus pleaded to the Legatus but it was already to late.
In just a minute the Legatus gets ripped to shreds, his left arms falls off, his right leg gets blown off and his shield and sword get torn to pieces, and finally he gets his head blown off.
The boys looking wide eyes as they watch the Legatus slowly fall down to the ground with a sickening thud.
"Oh my..." Janus said, covering his mouth.
"He's..." Julius said, his mouth wide opened.
"We have... To GO!" Caius shouted, as he and his friends get out the ditch and began to run.
They ran as their lives depended on it, they ran ignoring the mangled and dismembered bodies and body parts of the Imperial soldiers, they ran more and more as they spot more Imperial soldiers trying to escape the onslaught, many of them disfigured and without any parts of their bodies.
"GO! GO! GO!" Caius shouted, as they try their best to escape the explosions happening around them, whilst trying to avoid the lights as fast as they could.
Many of the Imperial soldiers get taken down by a single streek of the lights as they get picked down one by one.
More and more echoing explosions happen around them as the bright sun began to finally illuminate the fields that surrounded Alnus.
They spotted around five legions of Imperial troops and Wyverns as well as demi-human creature with them.
They smile at the sight but their smiles get washed down as the strange explosions eradicated all of them.
Their bodies thrown around like they were nothing, the Wyverns tried to fly towards Alnus in full speed but strange smokes followed suit and directly hit the Wyverns causing a massive explosion making them fall down like pieces of leaves falling from a tall tree.
Ballistae and Trebuchets tried to fire, but were also eradicated to pieces of debris.
Without hesitation the three young men tried to run as fast as they can across the dead bodies of the Imperial soldiers and demi-human creatures, as more and more explosions and the lights surrounded them.
The ran and ran until they stumbled and fell to a hole, the look up still seeing the massive streeks of light fly right pass them from above.
They hear more explosions and cover they're ears as they hear it come closer and closer.
After what felt like an eternity they climb out the hole and look around the area that surrounded Alnus Hill.
Mangled corpses, burning bodunidentifiable an identifiableies, human and non-human creatures scattered all disfigured and unidentifiable, horses and pieces of armor scattered across the land, the Imperial flag destroyed with several holes covering it, craters and burning pieces all scattered everywhere and finally dead wyverns, the Empires most destructive aerial corps destroyed.
They climb out and see Juilus with his leg injured, they help him and each carry him by the shoulder.
As they begin to walk out the land, not looking back at the destruction caused by the Enemy.

Meanwhile at Alnus Hill a particular 1st Liutenant of the USMC looks at them at his Trijicon Acog scope, he was about to pull the trigger to end their lives with a pull.
But stops himself...
Sparing their lives, a sign of mercy, knowing they are just young men wanting to give a name to themselves and honour their families.
