After arriving at their new home. Naruto and Kakashi discussed his birth parents. Learning about how the man served in his Genin team. "Your father saved me when I didn't think I needed."
"Do you think you will be my Jonin when I become a ninja?" Kakashi looked at the almost pleading Naruto, "honestly I don't know. But I think there is a good chance if you push yourself!" Naruto smiled at the man.
"Naruto you begin academy in the morning so you better go get ready for bed. Sara had her hands on her hips. As the boy stood up to leave she chuckled a Kunai at him. Quickly drawing out his wakizashi knocking it away, "Damn it mom!"
She chuckled, "You are going to be a Shinobi. You better get used to it." Walking out, Naruto said goodbye to Kakashi as he went up to his room.
Looking over at Kenshi he gave the man an eye smile, "Thank you Oda. I failed that boy, I'm glad he has a family that cares for him."
Looking at where the boy had exited, "You know, all animals have names we call groups. He is a fox, we are part of his Skulk. I assume he has now included you in that?"
'Fox?' The masked ninja raised his eyebrow, "You called him a fox? Has he met his tenant?" Kenshi could see the tension in his shoulders.
Pulling out a bottle of Saki he poured the two of them a cup, "He has told of one conversation with the beast. Yet now he seems to use the Foxes name when discussing it." Sliding the cup over to Kakashi.
Taking the cup he looked into the eyes of the other warrior, "So you think he is hiding his relationship?"
"I don't know if it's a relationship or if the boys wants to friend the creature. As I said Naruto is a fox. He is secretive and sticks to the shadows. Even from us." Kenshi downed his cup and poured a second. Though Sara came up and drank it instead.
" I've looked, there are some good kids here. I know Naruto will make at least a few friends." Sara seemed to relax at that, " Good. Because I don't want to have to kill somebodies kid."
"What of Yui?" Both adults smiled and looked at Kakashi, "Well she wants to get a position at the hospital. She is trained in the ninja arts as well. She is near Jonin levels if she wanted to go down that path."
Sara smiled, "She is my daughter of course she is a terror in a fight." Kakashi chuckled. Sara would fit in well here that was for sure. "Well I must leave you. I will come by as much as I can. Maybe I can even help Naruto with some training?"
After agreeing to his help with the boys training Kakashi left. Kenshi and Sara both were glad that he and Naruto seemed to get along well. Kakashi needed someone to help heal his broken heart. Naruto wouldn't say no to a possible older brother.
Naruto sprinted over the roof tops of buildings trying to get to the academy. First day he was already late. Landing in front of the doors he wiped his nerves away with a grin. Walking fast through the halls until he reached the door if his class. Opening the door everyone stared at the blond haired boy.
Waking Shikamru from his sleep he looked up to see a blond boy standing in the door way. He examined the new face. He had long blond hair ties up into a topnot. His wore dark grey baggy pants and sandals. The shirt he wore was a dark blue with Konoha swirls on the sleeves below his shoulders. Sleeveless black hoodie. Something he didn't miss was the beautiful crafted wakizashi on his lower back.
"Sorry Iruka Sensei! I'm not used to waking up early."Naruto scratched his his head awkwardly. Iruka seemed irritated about the boys presence. As did Mitzuki who was glaring daggers.
"It's fine, go ahead and introduce yourself now that you graced us with your presence." Nodding Naruto smiled. Turning to face his new class, "Hello! I am Naruto Uzumaki! I enjoy archery, training with my sis, and hunting! I dislike hateful people, and my dream is to become somebody that can protect the Land of Fire and Hokage!"
"Thank you Naruto, go ahead and find a seat." Naruto smiled before walking off, "Hai!" Seeing a seat next to Shikamru and Choji, "Hey, is it okay if I sit with you guys."
Choji scooted over for him, "That's fine! I'm Choji Akamichi." The boy pulled out a bag of chips offering him one, "Thanks! I'm Naruto Uzumaki-Oda!"
Not wanting to sit up Shikamru just waved past Choji to the blond, "Shikamru Nara."
Listening to the lecture, Naruto realized he knew all this information. "Now who knows who founded Konoha?" Naruto raised his hand, "Naruto."
Standing he looked around, "Well commonly known, was that Hashirama Senju began the village. Except that is only half the truth. Hashirama the first Hokage and Madara Uchiha had started the village together. This was in order to help find a way to make peace after the waring era." Iruka looked at the new boy in shock. Though he was right, they just never included the Uchiha in the history class. "Th-thats right."
After awhile they decided to have the class do some Taijutsu sparring. Mitzuki wanted to have the little demon boy suffer a bit. So he decided to pair him with one of the two Uchiha. Sasuke was the top in the class, so he decided to let him have some fun.
Iruka looked at the schedule, 'Really why set up the boy with Sasuke. Sasuke is top in the class?'
Naruto got into an odd battle stance with a smirk on his face. Sasuke looked at the blond with an arrogant expression. "Begin!"
Susuke jumped at Naruto with a kick. Spinning Naruto dodged effortlessly. Turning to face the blond again Sasuke unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks. Naruto blocked each one. Moving into the emo boy's gaurd, Naruto landed an elbow to his chest sending him tumbling back.
Rolling to his feet, Sasuke attempted to block Naruto's attacks. Avoiding the three punches, he hadn't expected those to be a distraction as Naruto landed a kick on his stomach. Sasuke flew out of the ring, "Win is Naruto!"
The entire class was silent. The second Uchiha in the class Mito, was shocked. She had never seen Sasuke lose a fight outside of sparing with Shisui or Itachi.
Naruto walked up to the fallen boy reaching out with his hand. Sasuke looked up at the boy who had just beat him, "Hn." Knocking his hand out of the way he pushed himself up and walked away.
A girl with the similar features walked up to Naruto, "Sorry about him. He has a lot to live up to in the clan." Bowing the girl introduced herself, "I am Mito Uchiha."
Naruto smiled at the girl before bowing, "Naruto Uzumaki." They say with Shikamru and Choji as the four started talking. Most the matches weren't interesting for Naruto. Mito used a similar fighting style to Sasuke, just not quite as refined.
Hinata Hyuuga was quite skilled in gentle fist. Naruto though felt she was holding back as to not hurt anyone. She seemed to soft to be a ninja, yet she was the heir to the Hyuuga family. In other words she didn't have a choice.
Shikamru was the most interesting to Naruto. He knew little of the Nara family. His father filled him in on the great ninja clans. He knew they were smart and used shadow jutsu. Outside of that he knew very little. They weren't show boaty with their power like the Uchiha and Hyuuga.
He was fighting against a civilian born kid. The civilian boy fought fairly straight forward. The kid was madly swinging at Shikamru, but the boy never changed expressions. He merely dodged and avoided being hit. Naruto was wondering what he was waiting for when he saw the other boy over extend himself with a strong punch. In one precise move Shikamru ended the fight.
Watching the fight Naruto couldn't help but smile, for someone who slept through class and seemed pretty lazy he was highly intelligent. After finishing up Iruka stepped forward, "Okay now it's time for target practice."
Shikamru joined joining his classmates again, "That was exhausting." Naruto and Choji both laughed at the pineapple haired boy, "Seeing how Shikamru won the last match let's have you go first."
Eye twitching in irritation, the Nara walked up to the targets. "You know the drill, ten targets and ten Kunai." Throwing each one he hit six out of the ten.
Everyone went after getting between two being the lowest to seven being the highest. Sasuke was next, so Naruto was interested to see how he would do. The Uchiha had managed to hit nine of the ten. Naruto was impressed.
Stepping up Naruto threw his Kunai. Feeling the satisfaction of the targets being his. Managing to hit eight of the ten. He could tell Sasuke was proud he had scored higher then the newbie.
Choji welcomed him back over, "Naruto your pretty good!" Looking at the smiling boy Naruto chuckled, "Thanks! I'd have done way better with my yumi."
Iruka who had been listening was intrigued but didn't press it at the moment. Shikamru looked at his.maybe new friend, "You do archery?"
Nodding Naruto out his hands in his pocket, "Yeah, I love it. I am pretty good but my dad makes me look like garbage." Shikamru couldn't help but want to see how good the blond was.
Sakura had overheard and laughed, "Please! Archery is such an outdated combat method. Your an idiot if you think would work for a ninja."
Looking at the pinkette, Naruto wasn't impressed. "Good thing your opinion doesn't matter to me huh?" The girl was red with rage. Naruto turned and walked away not giving her the satisfaction of showing any care.
After academy Naruto went to leave but was stopped by Choji, Shikamru, and Mito. "Hey Naruto, are you gunna go get food. You wanna come with us?"
"Really?! Yeah, thank you!" Choji led them to a little hut. Reading the sign he saw not said Ichiraku Ramen.
Flashback 5 year old Naruto
Naruto looked in at the ramen restraunt. Unable to purchase any of the food he went to walk away. "Hey kid."
Turning to see an older man with a hot bowl in front of him. "Come on let's get you something to eat." Smiling the little blond boy climbed onto a chair. Taking his first bite he couldn't stop the tears. It tasted so good. Normally he scrounged for food in dumpsters and garbages.
"Hey how about this. If you are ever hungry. Come in and I'll give you food at half price okay?" Naruto nodded with a huge smile.
Present Day
Walking in the four kids sat down. Teuchi walked out and greeted the academy children. Naruto smiled seeing the old man that had saved h from starving, "Hey old man Teuchi!"
Seeing tears form in the eyes of the shop owner, "Naruto?" Nodding, the man reached over and pulled him into a back breaking hug. "My favorite customer is alive! Ayame get in here!"
Everyone was floored. They assumed Naruto was from outside the village. Shikamru though thought back, he does vaguely remember a whiskered blond boy that disappeared one day. Ayame looked at him, "What happened to you? Where have you been?!"
Naruto nervously rubbed his neck, "I was abandoned out in a forest near the border. Met someone got adopted and now I'm back!" Mito leaned in to Choji, "How is he so chill about that?"
The chubby boy just shrugged. Everyone ordered after that, though the shocking part was once the flavor of the Raman hit Naruto's taste buds he was almost frenzied. He and Choji made eye contact and raced to see who could eat more. Choji won but only by two bowls.
Shikamru was happy to find someone that didn't judge his friends so much. Mito was an outcast to the Uchiha family due to her being a child born of war. Even her mother resented her. Choji was always called fat, slow, and useless. Naruto seemed to understand his friend was just as powerful as the next.
Once Naruto got home he filled Sara and Yui about his day. His new friends and even his new rivalry with the Uchiha. Yui was happy to here how well her baby brother was doing on his first day. He was nervous to go and visit shops but that he would do with a parent.
Well Mito will be interesting. I don't know how great she is. She was a product of rape so she is treated weird by the remaining Uchiha. Speaking of, the Uchiha have only a few dozen clansmen left. There were a few hundred before the attack by Danzo. Naruto and Shika have met! They are still to young, so some crushing but no relationship yet!
