Chapter 6
They ran into the deep woods, up the hill. Running in their human forms, one after the other. Tae's wolf which was usually a calm and controllable one was getting out of hand.. begging him to turn around and mark his mate. The scent of his mate that was running close behind him making everything even worse. Desperately trying to control his wolf, he didn't give any attention to what's happening around him.
A break of a twig far away from them.. but Jungkook picked it up immediately. He turned his head to look at what it was while running after his mate.. but when he saw it, the lust in his eyes changed into despair. He looked back at Tae's human form who was running ahead. 'No no no..' he thought his eyes glowing even brighter red as he started to run even faster, the bones shifting inside him in an instant and he jumped high.. changing into his wolf in the air.
Tae muted his senses inorder to relax his wolf so he couldn't have noticed the crimson red wolf that was coming straight at him from the side. Though not as big as Tae's wolves, that red wolf was big compared to the other wolves. And if it's gonna attack Tae when he is in human form, then it's game over.
Tae was running fast before stumbling on a tree root. His hairs stood straight when he lifted his eyes to see a dark crimson red wolf that was standing just a few meters away.. it's teeth barring and an insanely yellow glowing eyes.
That's when Tae heard it 'no no no'. It was not his voice, then who.... he turned his head to see Jungkook jumping high, changing into his wolf form in mid air and stood before him with a loud thud.
Tae got on his feet looking at the big white wolf that was standing closer to him. It was more than 6 feet tall.. probably the same as his own wolf. Despite danger standing right infront of them, Tae felt the urge to reach out and just feel the soft fur on the white wolf.. 'Wow' he thought. The scent of his mate multiplied in the wolf form making him dizzy and muddle headed to concentrate on what's happening around him.
Kook saw many rogue wolves taking a step back when seeing him in his wolf form but this red one seems fearless which made him even more angry. Suddenly it charged at them.. Jungkook let out a angry growl and dodged to the side pushing Tae away with his body. Tae didn't expect the push and fell flat on his ass. He knew more to stand on the way so he got up and moved beside a tree. He could still feel his heart burning with desire but the situation at hand put a hold on it. He couldn't let his wolf come out now.. only god knows what will happen if the two wolves in their Heats meet. Tae noticed how red the opposing wolf was. 'Red wolf? Royal bloodline?' he wondered in his mind.
'Just a rogue..' Tae was shocked at first hearing kook's thoughts and looked at the white wolf who was using the other wolf's momentum to send it sprawling. 'You..you can hear my thoughts?'
'Just like you can hear mine. Now let me finish this.'
Without delay he went head on into the fight. Red wolf put up a good fight shocking Tae.. it stood for long but at the end of the day, kook's wolf was more than a foot taller than the other wolf and don't even forget the fact that fighting with a True blood Alpha is a definitely a losing game.
When everything's over, the red wolf was whimpering on the ground with many cuts. Jungkook stood above it. Tae slowly walked over near the wolf that got hurt. Kook went closer to Tae as if in a protective stance.. Tae didn't mind it though. He even liked it to the point he couldn't even explain how much. But now his curious side took the best of him and he needed to take a closer look at the red wolf.
"Change. Now!" he said in Authoritative tone indicating that there won't be another chance.
The red wolf let out a low growl and squinted at Tae before slowly turned into a man kneeling and panting on the ground. He looked to be atleast 5 years older than Tae.
Just then they heard a few more footsteps approaching them. Tae knew from the scents that they are from the Jeon's pack. Two of them came running towards them.
First thing they saw was Kook and they both gave a little nod. Tae who has no clue of what's happening asked them "you knew him?"
"Yeah. He was the one we captured last week. An Alpha. He escaped this morning hurting three of our members who were on watch" one of them replied. They knew Taehyung from the Kim pack. But they were a little confused as to why he was standing with Jungkook. But they knew better to ask questions at their future Alpha.
"What's your name?" Tae directed his question at the boy on the ground.
A few seconds later one of the two that came running answered "he won't talk. We tried everything. He wouldn't open his mouth. But the other one we caught with him last week, called him Suga"
At the mention of his name, the said boy looked up. His eyes landing on Tae and the white wolf. "Mates?" he questioned "That's interesting" he finished with a smirk. That smirk on his bloody face looked evil and Jungkook went even closer to Tae pressing his fur against him and fury filling his eyes looking at Suga.
Though he was badly hurt, suga didn't even try to filter his words "calm down doggy" he scowled at Jungkook while he was dragged by the Jeon pack members.
Once the dirt settled down, it was just Tae and Kook in his wolf form.
Tae turned and looked up at the big wolf. Bright glowing eyes becoming faint looking at Tae who stuck out his hands and touched his head. It felt very soft contrasting with the fight that happened just a few minutes ago. 'Relax..' Tae told him in the mind link and saw the white wolf visibly relaxing and leaning more to his touch.
Suddenly kook's breathing was filled with Tae's irresistible scent. His wolf going wild once again 'Get away from me' he conveyed to Tae. But Tae stood his ground. He calmly gave a little pat on kook's head.
'All these time..I thought..' Tae thought but cut himself off when he realised kook can hear him now.
'You thought your mate would be a girl.' Kook said like he's stating a fact. he inhaled deeply taking in all of Tae's scent.
Both of them not wanting to let go of each other, just stood there like that for god knows how long. One in wolf form and one in human form. If anyone was to witness this scene from afar, it's like a owner petting his dog which was yearning for the owner's attention. In this case, it was a big wolf. It gently nudged Tae's hands with his nose.
Suddenly kook realised one thing. They never talked before. Not even a hi.. but now it felt like they knew eachother for decades. He felt like.. without the other his breathing will stop and he'll die. The fact that his mate is a boy weighed less than the fact that he is a future Alpha-in charge of the Kim pack. But none of those reasons made him move away from Tae at all. In fact, he craved to be touched by him.
'Hi'.. kook said on the mind link.
Tae raised his brows hearing Jungkook's greeting out of nowhere. His lips slightly curving at the edges, he took his hand away from the white wolf and stepped back a little.
'Hi..' he replied looking straight in the wolf's eyes with a softest of smiles.
They were staring at eachother when they heard a voice calling for Tae..
"Tae..! Come on man. Give me some signal.. I will make that dog pay if any th...." Jimin walked out of a big bush.. parting it with his hands and came face to face with Tae and the big white wolf looking his way.
'You should go'.. Tae put a little pressure on his words turning to look at kook.
'He should be dead for calling me dog' Tae heard kook's voice in his head before the white wolf went running towards the other side.
Tae gave a little chuckle hearing that. It was hard to get his eyes away from the wolf that was now running away but when he succeeded.. he saw Jimin stood rooted on his spot, his eyes going wide in imagining the worst "Why is he in his wolf form? Did he..did he do something?".
Tae just walked over to him saying, "what will he do? Huh? Get out of your imagination. It's not good there" he grabbed Jimin's hand and walked out of the woods.
