ROWANS APPEARANCE, chapter six
❝to be fair I was expecting an apology❞
Rowans apparent 'death' was the talk of the school and Odette hadn't even gotten out of her bed yet. "Wednesday can you repeat how he died again" Odette asked her friend who was pacing around her side of the room and stopped "he was attacked after he tried to kill me" she replied blatantly "yeah I got that but what was his wounds?" Odette asked again "a monster slashed him in the stomach multiple times causing his organs to fall out and for him to bleed to death quickly".
shit.
"Why are you so intrigued" Wednesday looked at the girl. "I uhm ── had this weird feeling at the same time you said he died but it wasn't just a feeling it was like I was there, I felt everything Rowan was feeling but there was no physical signs of danger on me. I looked stupid and I passed out from the pain but I have never felt that before about someone's death" Odette said.
"Interesting" Wednesday tutted before Wednesday looked out the window "they haven't found the body" she said "how do you know?" Odette asked from her bed "from the way sherif Galpin looks like he is sulking around and the fact that his undereyes are a shade darker than usual" Wednesday stated. Impressing Odette.
Principle Weems opened the door to their dorm in a quick manner "Wednesday" she smiled "there you are, can you please join me in my office" she said and looked around to see Odette covered in her blanket "Odette" she smiled, her gase making Odette feel guilty.
"Aren't you supposed to be dressed right now" Weems hummed and Odette nodded, getting ready for whatever punishment was about to go her way.
Wednesday looked between the two and saw Odette's frightful face. "It was my fault principle Weems" she started both Weems and Odette looking at Odette in slight shock "I kept her up all night with my rambling about Rowan, I thought she would have some information since she is the angel of death" Wednesday finished and Weems sighed.
"alright then, Odette you can have first period off but if I hear you are late to any classes today I will give you a detention." Weems warned her before her and Wednesday walked out the room.
Whilst Odette started to get ready she lifted up her pajama shirt to see a faint scratch on her stomach, it was little and almost looked like a birthmark but it was never there before. Odette lifted her finger and grazed it upon the scratch delicately only for her eyes to roll back to the back of her head as she saw no vision and heard screams ── Rowans screams.
She let out a loud gasp when her vision returned and she took a loud breath gaining things attention who started making her bed for her. "Did you hear that?" she asked thing who crossed his fingers meaning no.
Instead thing jumped off of her bed and went into her draw and pulled out her concealer and a beauty blender. Odette looked into the mirror and picked it up out of things hand.
"I'm not sure if I should be thankful or offended at you right now".
Hearing that Rowan came in this morning after Wednesday was questioned was confusing to Odette. If Wednesday saw his murder and described it perfectly to how Odette felt how would he be alive. Odette rushed to try and find him but when she did he was in the back of a car and was looking at her in confusion until he became out of sight.
Odette finally made her way to Enid and Wednesday as they, well as Enid painted the Ophelia hall boat (Wednesday was just watching in disgust as colours were put on) Enid gave her a big hug.
"Odette are you okay, when I came back to the room you were already asleep and when I woke up you were still asleep and I didn't want to wake you because you looked so peaceful and-" "I'm okay Enid, trust me" Odette smiled as Enid hugged her a bit tighter.
"Can't breath Enid" she struggled to get out as Enid let go quickly muttering a quick 'sorry'. When she turned to Wednesday it looked like an idea had popped into her head. "I need you to talk to Xavier for me" she said and Odette stepped back.
"Yeah that's not happening" she smiled "I thought you guys became friends" Enid said with confusion.
"Spoiler alert he's a bit of a douchebag"
"A douchebag that will do anything you ask him to" Wednesday said with her arms crossed "and what do I get from this?" Odette asked Wednesday "nothing, I already saved you from getting detention this morning from principle Weems".
Odette rolled her eyes knowing that Wednesday was right "fine" she let out, she was not happy about the situation.
You see Odette was actually planning on avoiding Xavier until her deathbed where he would come visit and she could flip him off before dying in front of him making him feel ten times worse then he has ever felt in the world and then he could live the rest of his years thinking about what he did to her.
But now she must speak to him, and she really didn't want to.
"Hey Yoko" Odette tapped her friends shoulder who was painting "yeah" she answered "at lunch can you please make me a bloody mary ── but this time without the actual blood"
"your loss" she shrugged before getting up walking up to her room to fetch the ingredients for her drink.
Odette turned around to her two friends and pointed at Wednesday "I'm doing this cause I'm a good friend and it's what friends do!"
"Oh god please don't get drunk again O-die" Enid whispered to herself as she watched Yoko and Odette walk up the long hill.
