Despite everything that happened in the last few months I managed to make it to graduation day and my baby boy was due on August 9th the same day his dad was born.
"And now Ladies and Gentlemen I would like you all to hear a speech from our Class of 2019 Valedictorian and student body president Yanyria Johnson."

*Whistling and claps*
"Good evening parents,friends, teachers, mentors, and of course, the graduating class of 2019 Panthers.. whew I'm nervous."
"Take your time baby!" Someone's mom yelled.
"Wow I can't believe I'm graduating."
"WE'RE PROUD OF YOU YANYRIA!"
*Whistling*
"Thank you." I said smiling.
"Before I get started I would like to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to speak tonight."
"It seems like yesterday I was just a Freshman entering high school."
"Today we have become Payton graduates, the home of the panthers is now home of tomorrow's doctors and lawyers, teachers and psychologists, musicians and engineers, architects and nurses."
"No matter what our reasons were for choosing Walter Payton so very few years ago what is important now is that we're all here tonight to celebrate our triumphs, our achievements, and our victories both individually and collectively, and the journey on which we have all embarked toward our future destinations."
"Each of us has had our own unique experiences at Payton; a combination of good times and bad times, times of laughter and of joy, times of school spirit, and of course, times of last minute studying for that exam that we forgot was taking place tomorow morning..good thing for coffee."
They laughed.
"Graduation marks another extraordinary chapter in our lives. With this chapter closed, I'm certain that many of us are already anxious about starting the next one because unlike an English book, we cannot skip through the pages of life to see how long the next chapter is going to be. We all have our own book of life that has not yet been written."
I continued my speech.
"And thank you to my family especially my history teacher and aunt Ms. Johnson for helping me through all of my difficulties whether it was a test or life experiences as well as my best friend Desirae I love you all."
Desirae blew a kiss.
"And I am also proud to say I won't be continuing the next chapter of life alone."
I revealed my belly bump.
"Thank you everyone!"
WHEWWW!!!"

So many people looked shocked.
"And those are your class of 2019 Walter Payton Panthers!"
Everyone threw their caps in the air.

"Hey daddy." I said nervously walking up to my parents.
"Yanyria..congratulations sweetheart I'm proud of you."
"But?"
"But nothing sweetheart we're proud you that's all." My mom said.
"You're a mother now." He said.
"Daddy I know I'm still going to college.. don't worry."
"When.. cause you can't go this fall because you're about to have a baby."
"Jared don't start." My mom said.
"I'm just saying baby." He said.
"Daddy I can take college classes and take care of my baby."
"Who gonna watch it?"

"Your cousin graduation is next week too."
"Tell my nephew I said congratulations." My dad said.
"Uh our nephew." My mom said.
"Jared you better be over here saying some good things." She said putting up her fist.
Dayvon waited outside the stadium by his hell cat.
He pointed his finger to tell me come here.
"Dayvon!" I said excitedly running to him.
"Woah Woah be careful with my baby ma lil folks prolly in there hittin his head and shit." He said rubbing my stomach.

"This fa you too." He said handing me a banquet of red roses and a gift box.

"She didn't even make seventeen yet though Yvette it's like you don't even care about your daughter future."

"I got something special planned fa you tonight ma so gone head spend time with yo folks." Dayvon said.
"Okay." I said blushing.

He got in his car and sped off.
"Please don't tell me that negro the father of the child that's growing in yo womb Yanyria." My dad said sighing.
"Yes daddy that's him." I said making him shake his head.
"Y'all ready to go eat cause I'm hungry." Jatavia said trying to change the subject.
"Yes I am starving, where we going eat?" I asked.
