"That's right, is there a problem?" Lisa said as she finally raised her head and stared Mr. Oh down.
"There's no problem. I also heard that Park Jimin favored you."
"What about it? Is that any of your business?" Lisa asked back, not leaving any negotiating room.
"Child, calm down. I thought that… if you liked Jimin too, I can help you out. I can let you back into the Oh Family and give you the same status as Nancy. Then, maybe the Park Family will easily accept you."
"If we get engaged, you can then rightfully use the? Park Family's powers to help you expand your business empire, solidify your ambitions, promote your biological son and daughter, and please your mistress, isn't that right?" Lisa exposed Mr. Oh's intentions for him right away.
Seeing Lisa's fast reaction stunned Mr. Oh for a second, it was as if he didn't expect Lisa to see everything thoroughly.
"How could you think of me that way?"
"How else should I think?" Lisa crossed her arms around her chest and looked at him coldly.
"I know… I know that after all these years, you have become prejudiced against me. I don't blame you, really. I'm only trying to help you because, with your current status, there's no way the the Parks will let you into their family."
"That's funny, why would I want to enter the Park Family?"
"Don't you like Jimin?" Mr. Oh asked.
"Which god told you that I liked him? It's as if everything was of your own presumptuous speculation."
"Don't you know who Jimin is? He's a man who every woman desires, a gift from God," Mr. Oh stated Jimin's prestigious status, trying to make Lisa see the truth.
"Ha… that's unlucky, it just so happens that I am a woman who does not dream of Jimin."
"Lisa… don't be so stubborn. You should be honored that he likes you. You know that, right?"
"I know what you're thinking about, you wish that he liked Nancy, but it sucks that he doesn't, right?" Lisa hit the crucial point with one sentence.
Seeing Lisa's animosity, Mr. Oh decided to take a more gentle approach...
With a loving tone, he said, "In my heart, you're the same as Nancy. I'll be happy no matter who marries into the Park Family."
"Don't you think that it's funny to say such contradictory words? I feel like laughing just listening to you. How could I ever be the same as Nancy? "Director, what's putting you in your bad mood?" His chauffeur was an old man who had been with him for years.
After Haruto's dad, Mr. Watanabe betrayed him and left with Lisa's mother, Mr. Oh hired his current chauffeur, who also became his confidant.
"I was thinking how great it would've been if Nancy had even half of Lisa's wits."
Mr. Oh had seen countless people, and through the few times he had interacted with Lisa, he sensed her terrifying intellect.
That outwardly warm and gentle girl had both a high IQ and a high EQ, and no one could get the high ground confronting her.
No matter what intentions you held, you would return defeated.
If Nancy had half of Lisa's qualities, that adopted son, Sehun, wouldn't be as arrogant now, right?
- Inside a high-class social club in the city -
Jimin was sitting with Taehyung and some others, playing cards. Suddenly, Seulgi walked in and sat down beside Jimin.
Tears circled her eyes, making her look like she was wronged.
"Oh, what's with our favorite actress? What happened?" Across Jimin, Bang Chan, a close friend of Jimin's, teased with a smile on his face.
"Nothing, it's just that I haven't seen President Park in a few days. I missed him." Seulgi's voice was light and soft.
No one knew if her voice was fake or natural, but she always spoke with that voice on television and gained many male fans.
"It looks like Young Master Park's scoring tonight."
The people joked, but Jimin's face remained emotionless.
After playing a few rounds, Taehyung suggested, "Let's go to a bar for some drinks, it's too early right now and we don't have anything to do anyway."
Jimin looked down at his watch; it was only ten thirty. He nodded. "You can find a place."
Taehyung immediately called to reserve a place before the group headed over.
With Jimin were a dozen people who he didn't know that well, but they hung out in the same circle.
Usually, these young masters would pride themselves on seeing Jimin in person.
They would even secretly boast in their WeChat friend circle. The new way to flex for them wasn't with money or cars, it was hanging out with Jimin. That was a true indication of status.
Seulgi was wearing a short-sleeved dress set from Chanel. The dress suited her, and it made her look beautiful and elegant.
Many people in the private room asked to take pictures with her. Her popularity was obvious...
She was also the kind of person who looked better in real life than on television, which proved that she was a beautiful woman to begin with…
"President Park l, I want to be the leading actress in our company's next film, Shooting Star and the Butterfly Sword," Seeing that Jimin was in a good mood, Seulgi coyly smiled and asked.
"Alright." Jimin nodded but didn't say much else.
"But I heard someone say that you've decided on Lissa (a newcomer in Jimin's company) ," Seulgi pouted, showing her unsatisfaction.
"Oh, then you can act in something else. Our company produces quite a few movies every year anyway," jimin unmindfully said while drinking.
"I don't want to, I'm a big fan of martial arts, and I like Shooting Star and the Butterfly Sword. President Park… don't you like me anymore? Do you want to replace me with that Lissa now?"
Displeased, Jimin looked at her and asked, "I've never said anything about replacing anyone. I'll be with whoever I am interested in at that moment, or did you forget the rules?"
"No, I just… I just feel like Lissa is a schemer, copying the way I got into the spotlight. Maybe she's not being sincere, only approaching you for fame and profit."
"Saying that makes it sound like you aren't after the same thing," Jimin sneered.
Realizing that she said the wrong thing, Seulgi quickly explained, "President Park, I am different from her. I've been with you for the longest, I…"
"You should go now, I'm a bit tired."
"But..."
Before Seulgi could finish her next sentence, Jimin waved his hands, and one of his men escorted the unwilling Seulgi out.
"What's going on, Mr. Park? Where are you going to go to satisfy your desires tonight now that the hottie's gone?"
Jimin glared at Bang Chan, "Why don't you satisfy me then?"
"No way, I don't like men. I only like soft girls with a small waist, and a sweet voice," Bang Chan laughed.
After Seulgi left, Jimin continued to drink slowly...
In between drinks, someone brought up and found enjoyment in discussing about Taecyeon's private business.
"Yo, did you hear? Taecyeon's Family said that they're going to seek revenge against that woman. What's her background, anyway? She was so brave and almost killed him. Apparently, Taecyeon's mother' face turned purple from anger, and they said they'll never spare that woman."
"That's for sure, Taecyeon's Family is a parvenu that's so filthy rich that they don't know how to spend their money. Isn't it easier to hire someone to teach that woman a lesson? Face disfiguration, rape, and other forms of revenge could happen any minute."
Hearing those words immediately put Jimin in a horrible mood. He abruptly stood up and brutishly threw his wine glass on the floor.
A loud 'clang' was followed by silence, and the room was immediately drained of all sound...
Nobody knew why Jimin's mood shifted so suddenly.
"Jim, what's going on?" Both Taehyung and Bang Chan were shocked.
Without another word, Jimin walked out with a heavy expression...
Taehyung and Bang Chan immediately followed him.
"I'm going home to sleep. You guys don't need to follow me."
With that, Jimin got into a black Lamborghini and drove off into the night, leaving Taehyung and Bang Chan feeling baffled...
"Is it because Seulgi left and he's left without a bed partner?" Bang Chan took a guess.
"Impossible. He basically forced her away. Didn't you see her when she left? Her eyes were red, and she was really sad. She clearly didn't want to leave."
"Then what happened? Is he going celibate? Is he becoming a monk?" Bang Chan was confused by Jimin's unusual behaviour.
"No, he's just interested in a weirdo." Taehyung chuckled.
Bang Chan was still very confused...
After speeding back to his private mansion, Jimin took a shower and picked up his phone and dialed a number.
"Keep a close eye on them. Stop them as soon as they act."
"Yes, Young Master park."
After hearing news of the Taecyeon's family' intention to retaliate, he was worried about Lisa. Therefore, he immediately ordered surveillance on them.
He then rolled onto his bed and flipped out a photo of Lisa he took on his phone when she wasn't looking. Looking at the candid shot, his gaze became ever so soft.
"I really do miss the days at South Side," Jimin smiled as he muttered to himself.

After her morning shift, Lisa drove to Haruto's school to find him.
The siblings ordered some food at a restaurant on campus and sat down.
"Noona, you seem to be less busy ever since your promotion. How did you get off work so early?" Haruto asked while slurping noodles.
"Yeah, South Side is not busy like hospitals. Here, it's all about resting and over there it's all about emergent cases. They're very different."
"That's good. You can rest more and have more time for yourself."
Lisa took out few paper bills from her bag and placed it on the table.
"Here, take this. Now that I'm making more money, I can give both you and Mom a little more too. Plus, you're all grown up now, and dating is expensive."
"Ahem… Nonna, I'm not dating, that girl isn't my girlfriend."
Thinking back to the time when he ran into his older sister at the movie theatre with a girl, he immediately explained.
"You don't need to be embarrassed! You're already a university student!" Although she didn't want Haruto to date at such an early age, she wasn't about to object. She wasn't inconsiderate.
"Nonna, she really isn't. Although she's interested in me, I rejected her. Plus, she's pretty much a snob, and she uses her looks to flirt with guys at the university. How could I like a girl like that?"
"Alright, I'm relieved to see you so clear-headed."
"Noona, I don't need your money. I got a part-time job and made enough money to last until the end of this semester."
"What part-time job did you get this time?" Lisa stilled.
Haruto scratched his head and chuckled awkwardly, "If I tell you, you can't yell at me. I downloaded the Uber app and I'm using the car Jungkook Hyung gave me to drive people around. I've had a lot of business! Also, I've made arrangements with wedding planners to rent out the car whenever I'm not using it for class."
"Not bad, brat, you're quite the businessman."
"You're not mad?" Haruto looked a little worried.
"Why would I be mad? You're earning money through hard work. Mom and I don't expect anything from you. We're happy as long as you can take care of yourself in the real world."
"Of course! Don't worry nonna, I'm not going to be a useless loser. Oh right, how's it going with Jungkook Hyung?"
"We've known each other for so many years now, so it's going pretty well."
"That's good then. Honestly, noona, the first time I saw Jungkook hyung was when he drove you home. I was spying on you guys from the windows and I knew then that he would become my brother-in-law."
"Get out of here. How old were you then?" Lisa laughed.
"I was already in my teens, okay? I understood everything!"
Haruto was a very considerate younger brother. Compared to those spoiled boys who did nothing but embarrass their ancestors and mooch off of their parents, he was more than thoughtful. Not only did he work part-time to help his family, he always had warm words for his sister.
Lisa knew that everything she did for her younger brother was worth it.
After she parted ways with Haruto, Lisa sent a message to Jungkook . "Are you off work?"
"I'm still busy." Jungkook had always replied to her messages instantly.
Lisa decided to drive to JC. She needed to seek forgiveness for her recent heap of mistakes.
Assistant Lee immediately recognized Lisa and said, "Miss Lisa, please come in."
Lisa nodded and walked in...
"The boss is still in the conference room, I'll go get him."
Assistant Lee was well aware of this woman's importance to his boss, so he decided to go get the boss from the conference room.
"Wait, don't go. I'll wait for him here."
"Ugh… alright, Can I get you something to drink?
"Coffee please, thank you."

Exhausted, Jungkook returned to his office after his hour-long meeting.
He sat in front of his desk and quietly began reviewing the data on his computer.
Suddenly, a pair of small warm hands covered his eyes.
A mischievous voice sang, "I just quietly covered your eyes. Can you guess who I am?"
Without a word, Jungkook immediately turned around and hugged Lisa.
Since he was sitting and she was standing, his head landed right on her chest.
A very intimate position...
"You hugged me without seeing who it was. How horny are you?"
"Other than you, no other woman can come into my office."
"Fine fine, you're too smart, alright? I just wanted to give you a surprise. You're no fun." Lisa began to wiggle out of his embrace.
As soon as she moved away, Jungkook pleaded in an almost child-like manner, "Don't move, let me hug you for a little while longer."
Lisa's face instantly blushed...
Was he hugging her because he could take the chance to feel her up in broad daylight?
"Boss… the vice president asked me to bring this over for you to sign..."Assistant Lee walked in with a file in his hands.
An 'indecent' sight appeared in front of his eyes...
Before Jungkook could say anything, Assistant Lee quickly said, "Excuse me, I've entered the wrong room."
He then got out as fast as he could...
He was terrified of being scolded. After being Jungkook's assistant for so long, Assistant Lee quickly learned the ways to surviving such a role; he was much cleverer than he was before.
"Your assistant is funny. Haha~" Lisa couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Assistant Lee's terrified face.
"He's much better now. It was even funnier when he first got here."
The lovers continued their lovey-dovey embraces while Assistant Lee almost peed his pants outside the office.
"Thank goodness I ran away fast. Otherwise, if I cockblocked him, he'd kill me," thought Assistant Lee.
Did he just witness his boss hugging that girl? What a 'gross' sight it was!
He wouldn't have believed it if he didn't see it with his own two eyes. It was totally out of character for his boss!
It seems that no matter how cold and domineering a man was, there was always an important woman whom he held dear to his heart.
Inside the office, Lisa's face was redder than a ripened tomato… This was because Jungkook's hands were now traveling up and down her body.
What was even more inappropriate, was the fact that his hands had moved all the way up… and the straps to her bra suddenly became undone...
"Hey… this is your office. Can't you pay a little attention to your image?" Lisa reminded shyly.
"I figured that our bunnies needed some air. What did you think I was going to do?"
"Yah… Jungkook, you bastard." Of course, Lisa reserved this sentence as an inner thought.
"Well, now that my bunnies got some air, isn't it time to close the door on them?" Lisa mocked.
