"Hey so there's going to be a party tonight, my friend invited me to it and she said to bring guests," I lied, "Do you wanna come?"
Conner was a bit hesitant, "Party sounds good who's place is it at?"
"To be honest I have no idea," I laugh, "All I know it is that this person is rich and its a dude that lives in a mansion. I'm thinking like Great Gatsby type of dude."
That cracked up Conner, "Okay, in that case should I go with you to make sure you're not going to be drunk?"
"Oh yea, definitely," I mocked his parenting manner, "But first take me home to change?"
He looked at our outfits, "Alright, I drove my own car today so you're lucky."
"I know," I grinned, getting up to follow him out. I text my mom to let her know we're leaving. Although we're still early for a party or anything, I guess we can go grab a burger or something quick before the party.
We got into his black Acura which was very spacious and I already felt cold when I got in. He chuckled and lowered the AC.
"I'll drop you off first, then I'll come back to pick you up around party time?" he asks, just as we enter my drive way.
"Sound great," I nodded, getting out with my purse. "See you later!"
"Oh wait, Selena, here's my number," he picked up a random receipt he had in his cup holder and wrote out his number on it. "Text me."
"Alright, bye," I smile waving him out the driveway.
I ran inside my house giggling of the butterflies in my stomach. I went to my room and dialed Demi's number as I prepared for a shower. Her number was busy, ugh probably talking to Joe about patching up...
I'll just text her later. For now I'm going to go shower, take a nap then change for the party. And let's just hope my parents won't be home until later.
After the shower I heard my phone ringing and vibrating from my room. There was no one home so I didn't care about running around the house naked. Well not exactly, I had a towel wrapped around me and I ran down the halls to my room to pick up the phone before it stops ringing.
"Hello?" I picked up.
"Hey, I was wondering if you've got your rest? Maybe we could go for that coffee now?" it was Nick.
"Oh uhm..." yes, I was a bit disappointed, "I'm going to a party tonight, I'm not sure if its a good idea to get coffee today."
He was quiet for the short while, "Oh okay... You're going to that?"
"Yea why not?" I asked in suspicion, "Which by the way, do you know who's hosting that?"
"I'm pretty sure its Amy Kross," Nick answers totally unsure, "Well I guess I'll be going, Joe is going too and apparently him and Demi are dealing again."
Funny I thought it was a dude that owned the place. Oh well, she could be Daisy from Great Gatsby then.
"Haha yea, they are," I chuckled, because I knew the truth to that and I guess I could say I sort of re-hooked them up.
"Well Demi and Joe are at Amy's helping to set up, do you want me to come pick you up?" he offers, damn he really wants to hang with me... and he has a girlfriend.
"No it's okay, I have someone to pick me up," I replied.
"Oh, well I guess I'll see you at the party."
"Yeup, see ya," and I hung up quickly.
Geez that was weird.
