She looked at him scared listening his calm voice. She tried to pull away from him but he didn't let her move away from him.
"What the hell do you mean?", he spoke in a cold voice looking down at her with his black eyes silently glaring at her as if punishing her for the words she just spoke.
"I mean what I am saying, Ji. I want us to have a normal family and everything here is anything but normal. You need to understand", she was interupted as he showed her his finger.
"Don't", he warned her standing up from his place. He can't even take rest now because what his wife is saying is poison for him. It makes him want to go to his dear mother and lash at her for filling filth in her brain.
"How long did it take Mrs. Khurana to fill your brain", he asked her making her stare at him with pain and sadness visible on her face as well as eyes.
"Do you really think I don't have a brain of my own to believe anything", she questioned his tiredly. She never wants him to be angry. Him being angry always made her heart heavy. She knew it wasn't the moment to get weak and do something stupid.
"Well, I didn't think that but right now I am forced to believe it", he told her making her let out a sigh.
"I want you to listen to my words as well", she spoke making him shake his head. He didn't want anyone to speak about this topic not even her. This part of his life was too sensitive for him and it had the power to trigger the worst behavior in him and he wasn't ready to show that side of his to his wife. Whenever he looked at his mother, the flashes of him standing under heavy rainfall calling for his mother comes in front of his eyes.
"Shut up. Just shut up", he spoke loudly this time making her flinch.
"Don't do something Tara, you would regret later", he warned her feeling his hands shivering at the moment. Tara could see his face getting redder with passing moment signifying his anger. She wasn't sure if she was scared at the moment or was feeling sad for him for being in this situation.
She took few steps towards him as he continued looking at her with sharp eyes before holding his hands. The moment her skin came in contact with him, he pulled his hands away from her as if her touch burned him which definitely hurt him a lot.
"Will I do something which will possibly hurt you?", she asked him making him laugh humorlessly.
"You are certainly doing that only and are getting successful at it", he made the remark making her feel worse than before.
"I know Ji whatever happened that day was wrong. I won't say what I did was justifiable. I answered back, Ma even though I knew she is elder than me, I spoke wrongly with her. Nobody is saying anything to me because they have already made their mind believing that Ma would always be wrong. But you don't clap your hands with only one hand involved. Of course, I was at fault as well", she tried to make everything clear to him of what she felt.
"So you are here to make me understand how wrong you were. Oh, baby, Now I do know how wrong you are", he spoke shaking his head.
"Ji, I don't want you to just start loving Ma. I know what she did was incredibly wrong but the fact that she gave you birth, she at least deserve some respect", she spoke softly not touching him this time knowing how he was hating her touch at the moment. In true words, Arjun was hating himself more feeling so small in front of Tara to speak about his behavior with his mother.
"Just leave me alone, Tara. I don't want to talk about all this", he spoke turning his back to her making her sigh. Of course, he was not ready to listen to her. She moved in front of him before cupping his face. This time he didn't push her hands away.
"I am woman, Ji. I am not even a mother yet but even than when I imagine my kids treating me like you treat Ma, it scares me. It makes me so sad", she told him making him grit.
"Our kids would never do any such thing. I won't let them", he spoke with finality.
"Exactly, Ji I am talking about the same thing. What if I did some mistake unknowingly? So there behavior towards me would be justified", she spoke making him laugh humorlessly.
"Unknowingly is the key word here, baby. Everything which happened wasn't done unknowingly by Mrs. Khurana", he told her.
"Ji, she had three miscarriages. Do you understand in what state of mind, she was?", she asked him loudly this time making him silent.
"She felt three lives growing inside her and than they were gone. All her dreams everything was gone. You say you were calling for her that night. What if she didn't hear you at all? What if her mind was all numb that night because suddenly somebody told her she can have a baby when she lost three of them", Tara asked him angrily this time.
"I understand what she did was wrong but her mother used her weak point against her. Shraddha Ma, wasn't bad her family made her bad in front of the world. Her only mistake was that she got manipulated easily. And about that day what happened, Ji it's been more than 20 years from that incident and she is still yearning for your love but she gone none. You done even accept her as your mother. I know Roshni Mumma took care of all of you but you ever thought what Ma was thinking when she saw all the kids at home considering Roshni Mumma as their mother. I know twins respected her like their mother but she wasn't their mother. She was yours", Tara spoke at once angry at this point.
Arjun was silent all this time.
"Ji, life is too short to regret. You don't know what will happen tomorrow and than you would regret it your whole life. Why you did it? You have me and you would always have me in your life but Ma is having no one. What she lost in life? You couldn't even think about it", Tara spoke in a soft voice.
"My father also lost three kids but he never behaved that way", Arjun spoke darkly shaking his head as nothing mattered to him.
"Because Papa never felt those babies", Tara spoke in irritation this time. This man was not ready to understand anything.
"Ji, a mother feels her child in her body. The moment she gets to know she is pregnant. She starts dreaming about it. She starts taking of the child from that point only. Her whole life revolved around that child who is not even in this world. When a child starts kicking in mother's womb, the father would feel it four-five or may be six times but a mother feels all of it. When the child is kicking, when he is not, she starts imagining scenario of the child sleeping or in the mood to play", Tara spoke getting emotional suddenly.
"I am not saying that the father don't care about his child. It's not that it's just that when a couple looses a baby, more emotional instability is seen in woman than in the man", she spoke now tired of explaining him something so normal. She saw her Bhabhi in her time of pregnancy. She would be tired getting no sleep at night because her back was hurting or the baby was kicking too much. She would be tired whole day but it didn't affect her love for her baby at all. It was like she was ready to go through any pain in the world for the sake of the safety of her baby.
"It seems like you have already told yourself that you are not going to listen to anything in the favor of your mother. She always wanted your happiness. It was her only because of whom I am in your life. The whole family denied me getting married to you because I was too young but she was the one who wanted you to have your happiness", she spoke looking at him whose face was still hard.
"Do you want me to run in her arms crying thanking him?", He asked raising his eyebrows before shaking his head. There was a knock on the door pulling their attention towards the door. The door was pushed open as Shraddha was standing there looking uncomfortable.
"Tara, please don't affect your happy married life because of me. Arjun isn't wrong when he behaves that way with me. I am certainly got it on myself. I wasn't a good mother and nothing can change this face", Shraddha spoke making Tara stand up from her place.
"No Ma, it isn't that way. You weren't able to take care of Ji but you have certainly taken care of Kenit, Kinshuk and Siddharth like your own kids", Tara explained to her not wanting her to feel bad.
"But now they also hate me after knowing everything", Shraddha spoke smiling sadly but tears could be seen in her eyes as she sniffed wiping them immediately.
"Arjun Beta, I know I did very wrong things with you. I wasn't with my son when he was fighting for his life but trust me, beta after I came back and I heard everything from your father, I was disgusted of myself. I wanted to ask forgiveness from you even though I didn't deserve it but seeing you all happy with Roshni just the way you used to be with me made me very sad and jealous at the same time. I was a pawn for my family and too stupid to understand it for so long but now that I understood it, it's too late. You know my mother wasn't my real one, she was my stepmother. My mother left me when I was 4 and all my life, I continued doing everything to get the love of my stepmother and than my siblings. But seeking love from them, I lost the love of your father and you. I have accepted my fate long ago please don't worry about me", Shraddha spoke in a broken voice as if she was living her past before moving to her room only. She didn't want her husband to hate her more than he already did. So she moved out of the room staying in the room beside his not wanting to trouble him.
She saw him standing their listening to her words with crossed arms. She just stared at him for a minute before moving to get in the next room.
"Shraddha, get your stuff back before I do something wrong", Aadhish spoke strictly moving inside his room making Shraddha look at him with shock. Did he just call her back but why?
"You heard it, Ji?", Tara asked Arjun holding his elbow making him look at her.
"Every person who do something wrong have a story. It doesn't make their wrong deeds rights", Arjun spoke to her making her look at him with shock.
"You are never going to trust her", Tara stated looking incredibly at her.
"Ji, hate is not the answer to anything, the way you want it to be. Hatred only makes things worse. You forced me to get married to you in that gurudwara. I could've hated you whole my life for it and if I forget that, you have also been very rough on me and have done very wrong things to me scaring me with my family, my my own self as well. I could've hated you and we would've still been at the same place where we started but I seek out to see the positivity in you. My brother told me you have contacts with mafia, I accepted that as well. I just wanted to see the goodness in you which made me finally love you. If you would continue to seek negativity in a person, you would find many of them and would hate her for the same thing", Tara spoke shaking her head at his immature behavior before moving downstairs to speak to Roshni.
Arjun stared at the place she was standing with hard look before kicking the nearby stool making it fall to the ground. Why is it him only who is wrong for the world and now for his wife as well?

What do you think would be Arjun's decision? Many of you will say Shraddha was wrong but the fact here is no person is right or wrong, it's the situation which makes the person wrong or right.
This was the reason behind Shraddha behaving irrationally that night. She was still handling her trauma of losing her babies which her mother used against her. She was also a victim.
What do you think about Tara's behavior? She just want Shraddha to have her son back and get rid of the pain she is feeling from so many years of not getting respect from her son.
