Andy's POV:
Things were finally going a bit better now. Altough this Hiatus things is getting to me. My life seems so empty now. Years and years we were on the road, touring. Barely any breaks. And now we haven't done anything in half a year. It's weird. I got to find a purpose again.
'Andy, hello' Joe said while waving his hand in front of my face.
'Yeah, uh sorry, what is it babe'
'What were you thinking about?' He asked while he grabbed my hand rubbing circles on the top of it.
'It's nothing' I said.
'Yeah it is, tell me' he looked worried.
'It's just, this hiatus is getting to me. Like I have no purpose anymore, or something. I don't know Joe. It just feels so empty now'.
'We'll I was thinking about something, something that will give us a purpose, something to care for, something that'll change our lives'.
'A dog?' I questioned.
He started laughing. ' no, I was thinking about having a kid'.
'But, we're gay, we can't produce' I looked at him weirdly.
'Adopt, Andy, adoption' he smiled.
A kid, I always wanted to have a kid but I gave up on that dream when I found out I was gay. But can we adopt? Are they letting two gay men have a kid?
'Andy, you're thinking again'.
'I would love to have a kid Joe, but can we adopt?'.
'Well I was gonna surprise you on your birthday, but let's do it now. I've always known your biggest wish was to have a kid. So I went searching around and I found this orphanage. There's this little girl named Ruby. She's 2 years old now. I've had conversations with them and we only have to say the word and we can have her' he smiled.
He did all this on his own. For me?. For us?
'I, uh dont know what to say, thank you Joe, I love you so much' I said and kissed him hard.
'I love you too babe' he smiled while our foreheads touched eachother.
We parted and he took my hand and pulled me up to my feet.
'Shall we go to the orphanage' Joe suggested.
'Yeah lets do it' I smiled and I couldnt get it of my face all the way there.
We were going to have a kid!
