"It was two weeks ago today at West Valley High, where what can only be described as an all-out karate riot caught students and faculty off-guard, sending shock waves through the Valley." A reporter said while I was watching TV in my room or should I say hospital room that is my room but my parents locked me in it.
"We got enough to worry about. Now we got karate gangs in schools?" Women said on the TV.
"There was a karate attack at the mall a couple of months back. I thought karate died out in the '80s." A middle-aged guy said looking at the camera.
"Earlier today, students organized a peaceful gathering of prayer and song. Tonight, West Valley High is holding a community meeting to answer questions and help settle fears." The reporter said.
"Police are still looking for Robby Keene, who ran away after kicking fellow student Miguel Diaz off a second-floor balcony, landing right here on this staircase. Y/n Rose was another victim who got pushed down the stairs by Samantha Larusso from the second floor to first Landing here, on these stairs" Reporter said showing my photo and then Sam. "Y/n is back at home healing there. Diaz, meanwhile, remains in a coma at West Valley General. His prognosis..." the women didn't get to finish when the TV turned off.
"Hey! I was watching that." I said turning to look at my grandpa who was standing with a remote in his hand.
"I know. But get up we will make a visit to your school." He said showing me a poster. I rolled me eyes. Great just great. I grabbed my crutches and got out of bed and started to walk down the stairs.
We got into the car and the started to drive off to the school, music was just playing as we both didnt want to talk about anything or anyone. I wast quite sure why i was having to go to the is but i am good with it.
"Why are we even here, I don't think we are allowed to be here and my knee hurts, just so you know. I also think that it is quite easy to tell that it is me with these stupid crutch's." I said as I and grandpa were walking down the hallway. Some of the lockers had dents in them from where the fight had happen. There was also dried blood on some things.
"We just gonna listen to what they are saying, nothing else" He said as we walked to the meeting and took our seats in the corner. I put my hoodie over my head as I saw LaRusso's walk in, with there daughter just great.
"What are they doing here?" I asked not taking my eyes off them.
"We will see"
"Please take your seats. Thank you all for coming. The school board cares about student safety." Some dude said making me roll my eyes. -
"Where were the teachers?" A guy stood up from his seat and asked as everyone agreed.
"You're frustrated. But the NEA guidelines are quite clear. No teacher can get between two students fighting." The Counselor said as another guy yelled.
"That neckbeard teacher attacked the kids!" He said making me laugh remembering how I and stingray fought with those kids in the hallway.
"Mr. Stingray never worked here. Last we heard... Last we heard he's on probation and not allowed within 500 feet of any child." The guy said making my face fall as I turned to my grandpa.
"Wait. Stingray was arrested?" I asked as he nodded. "And you didn't tell me" I said falling back to my seat.
"How do we know this won't happen again?" Women stood up and asked.
"We have a new initiative called "Hugs Not Hits. Like DARE except it actually works." The Counselor said making me laugh as few people turned to me and i just shooed them off not wanting to look at them.
"Your solution is to hug kids?" A guy said making Counselor Blatt's face fall.
"Actually, they would hug each other." She said.
"What Counselor Blatt is trying to say is no more karate. Zero tolerance from now on." The guy said making Daniel stand up.
"Wait. You don't need to turn this into some kind of karate Footloose Karate is not the problem! When I went to school here, I was bullied, and karate saved me." He said as a guy yelled
"bullshit, I heard you were the bully!" Making me laugh.
"Parents, please...Can we please... We want to move on and handle this with an appropriate response." The guy said as Amanda stood up.
"Tell me how it's appropriate that our daughter got suspended while a dimestore Freddy Krueger nearly tore her face off." She said making me raise an eyebrow and yell.
"She was tramping around with Tory's boyfriend!" I yelled as my grandpa pushed me down to my seat trying not to make LaRusso's see me.
"Excuse me? Who said that?" Amanda and Daniel asked turning to my side. I wanted to yell to them but grandpa put his hand over my mouth to shut me down.
"Don't get all high and mighty, LaRusso. You taught them that Miyagi crap. It was your student who hurt Diaz and your daughter pushed y/n Rose down the stairs. You reap what you sow. Maybe you wanted her out of the compaction." The guy said making me clap as grandpa pushed me down back to my seat again.
"OK, no. Come on. We gotta stay composed. Everyone, please. Take a seat, please. All right. Settle down, please, everybody." The guy said as I and grandpa stood up and walked out of the room.
After what ever happened at the weird meeting, I had to go back to school after having a lovely two weeks off and it was lovely. Not! I didnt want to go back. The worst part was now i looked weak at that never went well for anyone.
It was now a school day, well actually my first day back at school after all the fight. I looked at the mirror looking at my knee than at my hand which was in the cast thing.
"Ready?" I heard my mom say as she looked at me.
"Yeah, let's go" I said taking my bag. I got out of the car and all of my friends were there.
"Y/n/n!" I heard someone yell to me as I climbed out of my mom's car since I can't drive my own for now. "Hey Bert!" I said as he wrapped his hand around me while I wrapped mine around him too.
"How's your knee?" He asked looking at my knee making me sigh.
"Good, I Can't-Wait to take this off and start the training again" I said as we both walked into the school. As we walked in my jaw dropped. "What the hell. Is. That?" I asked looking at all the security who was checking student bags. Bert didn't say anything but pushed me to the security man as they checked my bag. I waited for Bert to finish as someone wrapped their arms around my waist.
"Hey, princess" I heard Jack say into my ear making me smile.
"You are a bloody flirt." He covered my eyes and spun me around. He took his hand off my eyes as I saw a big poster with "Welcome back y/n/n" written on it. It made me smile like crazy as everyone congratulated me or pat my shoulder.
"This is the year. Day one, round two. Let's get it, boys." Hawk said as Bert walked over to us. "Ooh! Freshman babes, eleven o'clock." He said as we turned to look. "Hey, ladies. I know freshman year can be scary. Any trouble, just comes to us. We are the guys.." hawk said as one girl in a blue dress started to talk.
"The guy Who wets the bed and the guy who drinks his drinks with gummies. Yeah, we know." She said as I looked at her.
"The fuck you just said?" I asked stepping closer to them as they back away a little.
"Y/n, don't!" I heard a Counselor yell looking at me as I backed away while the three girls walked away.
"Hey, Demetri" the same girl with the blue dress said as she walked past Demetri.
"Someone knows who I am. A human female!" He said as we started to walk behind them.
"You famous now, 'Met." Chris said as they turned around and saw us.
"Got something to say?" Mitch asked looking at Chris waving his hand in front of Chris.
"Yeah. Check out my new Lit book. Hard-hitting shit in here." He said showing Mitch his book.
"This security isn't enough to protect your scrawny asses" I said looking at Demetri and Chris.
"I don't need security." Demetri said making me till my head.
"You think?" I asked with a smirk.
"Everything all right here?" Counselor asked as she walked toward us. "
Oh, we're all buddies here." Demetri said stepping between me and Eli as he put his hands over our shoulders and i elbowed him in the stomach. And then played the injured card when he touch my shoulder.
"Isn't that right?" He asked as Hawk slapped his chest."
"Yeah."
"Don't you all have somewhere to be?" She asked as I punched Demetri in the chest and trowed his hand off me.
"Y/n, don't do that" Counselor said as I walked away raising my middle finger up to her.
The rest of the school day went to shit and I just wanted to die. So after school i pulled out the phone that Robby gave me and called him. After a couple of rings he picked up.
"Hey, there ran away." I say smiling.
"Hey, there broken." He says as i smile hearing his voice. "How are you feeling with all of the meticulous things going on?"
I laugh. "Its shitty. I can't do anything. I can't even drive, so that sucks." He laughs.
We sit there talking for a little longer until he tells me that he has to run again and i nod although he can't see that.
"I love you see yo soon." He says.
"Love you too."
With that the line goes dead. My grandfather then comes to picks up and takes us to karate. Once i get out of the car i just change into something athletic in the dojo not wanting to be in my school cloths.
After I changed and walked out everyone was warming up and then Tory walked in. I haven't seen her in a while but i was kinda dead and i also was getting some Lawyer thing done as well. The. Court case was going to take place in a couple of months I think.
My grandfather asks Tory a question and she answers and i really wasn't listening because I didn't want and i didn't think that it would benefit me. After the class was done my grandfather and i cleaned up and ten he helped me with the fighting fans that i got a couple of mouths earlier.
As we were practicing i heard the door open. I dint really turn around to see who it was for the main reason i didnt care and secondly i just didn't feel like it.
"We're closed." I said as I stepped out of the training room to see Daniel.
"The dojo's going through some renovations. What do you think?" Grandpa Kreese said as he walked out behind me.
"Where's Johnny?" Daniel asked.
"He's not here right now. But he'll be back." My grandfather said walking closer to him. "It's a shame what happened to Miguel. Such a tragedy. But I don't really blame Robby. 'Cause you know what they say...there's no such thing as a bad student."
"It must really hurt to see the Miyagi name dragged through the mud. Wish I could see the look on the little bastard's face." My grandfather said as Daniel took a step closer.
"That little bastard kicked your ass. More than once." Daniel said in defense. "You're lucky he taught me true karate. That's why I'm not gonna fight you." Daniel said turning to leave.
"Oh, but you will." He said with a smirk on his face.
"It's inevitable. But this time, Johnny, I and Y/n will finish it. Once and for all." Kreese said as I walked to him.
"You're not gonna do anything." Daniel said. "Not while I'm around." He said and started to go to the exit.
"You know where to find us" I said as my grandfather crossed his arms over his chest making us both laugh as we returned by to training.
