Hope sat in the waiting room for hours and hours and nothing.
Hope wasn't going to give up on Josie. She loved Josie..it was true and she wanted nothing but to protect her.
Hope blamed Alaric but she blamed herself more, she couldn't believe she didn't figure the shit out faster.
7 hours prior:
"So you and Josie are serious?" Nick asked
"Yeah, I really really like her and we agreed on taking things to the next level, I mean we are already dating but we were definitely willing to take things up a notch" hope smirked
"Nobody wants to know about you and Josettes sex plans, that's gross especially when it's my best friend and sister, you guys may be cute but spare me the details" Nick groaned
"Right...what's going on with you and Ethan?" Hope was scared to even ask
"We are fine...he told me everything and we are working out to be fine, I really really like him..maybe even love him" Nick admits
"That's good" hope smiled
"You should call Josie, plan the whole sex thing before it's late" Nick says in disgust
"Right" hope rolled her eyes before picking up her phone and dialing Josie's number.
It was taking more than it usually does for Josie to answer.
Hope was about to hang up when she heard the line click.
"H-hello?" Josie asked
"Hey Josie" hope says
"Hope I can't talk right now" Josie says
"Josie-"
"I love you...I love you so much" Josie whispered
Hope was so confused. She didn't know why Josie was saying this all over the phone.
"Josie- what are you talking about?" Hope asked
"Ask me what's my favorite movie" Josie says
Hope looked over at Nick and he raised his eye brow.
"I already know your favorite movie is some Disney movie" hope says
"Besides Disney" Josie says
Nick sat over next to hope.
"Oh..that joker movie?" Hope asked
"Yeah..remember the scene that I was scared of the most, imagine that was real life"
Hope was more confused then ever.
"Someone would be crazy to do that to you knowing that I will always protect you" hope assured
"That's enough!" Hope heard Alaric whisper
"I have to go hope...my grandma needs me" Josie says before hanging up
"What the hell was that?" Nick asked
"Josie said her grandma needed her but she told me her grandma was dead before, and I heard alarics voice in the background" hope got up from the bed
"Isn't Alaric in jail?" Nick asked
"Yeah but if he's not then that means-" hope cut herself off
"Josie's scared of that joker scene when they were held at gun point and if alarics suppose to be in jail....that means I have to go save my girl" hope practically ran out of the door.
"I'LL CALL MOM AND DAD!" Nick yelled before he hurried up and got the phone.
Now:
Hope was angry at herself because she could have saved Josie.
She could have got there so much earlier if she wasn't so dumb and if she put the pieces together.
Hope wanted to scream and cry, but she felt as if she didn't deserve to cry. She didn't deserve to feel this way when Josie was in so much pain.
Hope finally got up and the nurse took her to see Josie.
She stood outside the glass window and watched Josie from there.
She was sleeping so peacefully.
"Can I go in?" Hope asked on of the nurses.
"I don't think you can" the nurse says
Hope could feel the tears streaming down her face but she quickly wiped it away.
'It's my fault! I shouldn't be crying!' Hope mentally yelled at herself
Hope heard beeping noises coming from inside.
"We have to get you out of here" the nurse says
"But I just got here" hope worried
"She's having a seizure and you can't be here" the nurse says
Hope soon started to see Josie body shaking out of control.
Hope couldn't help but to cry and her heart started to pain even more than it did before.
Caroline was rushed out of the room as was Lizzie.
The shades were closed and down.
"No no no" Caroline cried
"Where is your father?" Hope asked Lizzie
"Are you seriously asking that right now?" Lizzie scoffed
"Where is your father?" Hope asked again
"He's in room 349" Caroline says
Lizzie scoffed at both of them.
Hope turned around and made her way to the floor.
She had to sneak pass a few doctors and nurses.
Hope finally made it to the room and walked in.
"I'm glad you are here nurse" Alaric says with his eyes closed
"Can you pass me something to drink" Alaric adds
Hope looks over at the bed pan and then back at Alaric.
She slowly walked over to him and took the pillow from his head.
"What are you doing?" He asked
"I'm helping you out" hope says
Alaric immediately opened his eyes and tried to move but he couldn't when hope put the pillow over his face.
"You hurt her" hope says as she finally let the tears stream.
Alaric kept fighting for his life.
"You deserve to die.."
Alaric was at his last breath.
"But I'm not going to be the one to take your life" hope says before pulling the pillow from his face.
He started breathing and fighting for air.
"W...what...ar...are you doing here?" Alaric asked as he sat up and away from hope
"You hurt someone I love" hope says
"Loving a Forbes will only bring you danger...I was helping you out" Alaric scoffed
"Are you fucking kidding me right now! Your daughter might be on her death bed and you are saying this?" Hope shook her head
"She isn't going to wake up"
"That's a lie! She's going to wake up and we are going to live the best life together..and a few years from now I'm going to marry her and we are going have this nice house in New Orleans...and you...you're going to be in your casket where you belong" hope spat out
"You're going to go down for the murder of Josette Forbes and I'm going to be a free man..maybe you shouldn't have left any finger prints on Josie's body.." Alaric smirked
"You set me up?" Hope grew angrier
"Of course I did...I wouldn't be Alaric saltzman if I didn't" Alaric grinned
Hope grew unfazed.
"Why aren't you going crazy right now?" Alaric asked.
"Because I won't be going to jail.. I learned a little thing from you and Lizzie...always stay recording" hope smirked as she took out her phone and stopped the voice recorder.
"I've made a small deal with the fbi...I hope you look good in orange" hope smirked as she backed away from alarics hospital bed.
