i gave him my address so he could pick me up.
what have i gotten myself into.
tomorrow came as always and i was excited and dreading lunch with ty.
i got ready in a casual outfit that made me feel good.
the door bell rang at 11:30, i answered the door and there was ty.
"hey." i said.
"hi, you look great." ty complimented.
i blushed, "thanks, you do too."
i grabbed my bag, locked my apartment door and we started walking to the elevator.
"are you from new jersey?" i asked him when we got i the elevator.
"no, i'm from canada actually. i just play hockey here." he answered and smiled.
"hockey? like for the devils?"
"yeah, i play defence."
"is jack on the team too?" i asked.
he laughed, "yeah, he is. probably the best player on the team."
"you from around here?" he asked me.
"yeah, i am. grew up around two hours from here."
we got to the restaurant and ordered. it was easy to talk to him.
he told me all about playing hockey and i told him that i was going to new jersey city university to get my journalism degree.
we wrapped up lunch and started walking back to his car.
"thanks for lunch, it was good." i smiled at him.
he grabbed my hand, "it's no problem."
he dropped me off at my apartment, there would definitely be a second date.

i walked into jack and i's shared apartment and spotted jack on the couch.
"bro! how'd it go?" he yelled.
"we have neighbours jack! shut up!" i said.
"sorry. but answer the damn question." he stood up and walked towards me.
i leaned on the kitchen counter, "good, really good. she's really nice."
"oooo, you're blushing." jack giggled.
"no i'm not." i covered my face with my hands.
"you have a crush!" jack was going to tease me with this forever.
