"You did so good." You praised your boyfriend, Taehyung.
"Thanks. I was a little nervous."
"I wouldn't have even guessed it." You smiled, running your fingers through his hair. "You're a pro at hiding it."
He chuckled. "You'd better get ready. I know you're performing soon."
"Can't I hang out with my boyfriend for just a little while longer?" You pouted.
"I'd love for you to, but I don't want to get caught."
"Right." You nodded, understandingly. "I'll get going, then."
"Good luck."
"Thank you." You gave him a small grin before slipping out of the vacant dressing room and hurrying back to your own to get your mic hooked up and ready.
Once your stylists did their finishing touches on your hair and makeup, you were ready to go. You were brimming with excitement, looking forward to performing your new song. Not only that, but Taehyung would be watching and you wanted to do a good job for him. The crowds were strictly other idol groups and soloists, so you had some pretty important people watching, but Taehyung was the only one you cared about.
You took your place on stage, waiting for the track to start up. The beginning notes of your song began playing through the large speakers in the room and the crowd started clapping. Lights flashed and you started your routine, doing the choreography you practiced for weeks. Singing the lyrics, you pranced around the stage, continuing your routine, focusing on keeping your vocals steady as you went through the intense choreography for the chorus, hitting each move with precision.
Once the song ended, the room erupted in applause and cheers. It was flattering, especially since most of the idols in the room were seniors that you looked up to. Giving a grateful bow to the crowd, you exited the stage, immediately being handed a bottle of water and a fan as staff began dabbing your forehead with towels.
"Good job, Y/n." Your manager praised. "That was a wonderful performance."
"Thank you."
"All that hard work paid off. Your movements were so sharp and your vocals were steady."
You nodded, still trying to catch your breath.
The staff took you back to the dressing room where you cooled off and changed into a different outfit. Your stylists surrounded you as they fixed your hair and touched up your makeup, giving you just a few minutes to yourself before escorting you out to the auditorium to sit with the other idols.
A boy group was just about to start their performance, the lights dimming as they took their places. Your eyes scanned the crowd, spotting Taehyung with his group, talking amongst them. Part of you wished you could sit with him, hold his hand, and watch the performers. BigHit is a very understanding company and allows BTS to date, so Taehyung has always been allowed to do so, but couldn't due to their busy schedules.
Your company never had a dating ban, so you were free to date as well, as long as you could focus on your job.
It was never your plan to get a boyfriend, let alone Kim Taehyung, however, things just so happened to work out that way.
You were working on new music and wanted an experienced producer to help on one of your tracks, maybe even rearrange some parts of it. You somehow got lucky and were able to get Min Yoongi himself. You were nervous to say the least, especially walking into the massive 19-floor Hybe building that towered over you.
Your manager assisted you, helping find the Genius Lab. Knocking tentatively on the door, you waited for an answer. The glass door opened revealing Yoongi, his dark hair peeking out from a gray beanie.
"You must be Y/n."
"Yes. It's nice to meet you." You bowed. "I admire your work."
"Thank you. Come on in."
You removed your shoes, placing them outside by the welcome mat before stepping into the studio in sock-clad feet.
"Thank you so much for agreeing to do this. I don't know much about music producing, so I could really use the help."
To your surprise, Taehyung was sitting on the couch inside.
"Oh." You quickly bowed. "Hello."
He nodded his head, flashing a smile. "Hi. I hope you don't mind that I'm here."
To help honest, you were a little nervous with Taehyung in the room. One BTS member was intimidating enough, two was even worse.
"Not at all." You responded, keeping your cool.
That day, you worked on the track with Yoongi, who complimented your lyric writing. You had expected Taehyung to leave at some point, but he stayed and watched; he even offered up advice here and there. After that, when you continued to meet at the Genius Lab, Taehyung was always there. It was only when the track was near completion that he gave you his number, letting you know he was interested in you.
That was two years ago.
You watched from your seat in the crowd as Taehyung interacted with other female idols, feeling tinge of jealousy at the sight. You trusted him and knew the girls were more than likely just having a friendly interaction with him, however the fact that no one knew he was taken bothered you a bit. You were never the jealous type, but Taehyung is in the biggest boy group in the world and it's no secret that he's good-looking, so yes, you were a little jealous that so many female idols were walking up to talk to him. You didn't mind keeping your relationship a secret, but you hated having to act like you weren't close with him.
Deciding to shake it off, you turned your attention to the stage where the boy group had finished preparing and was now starting their performance. You watched the group, your eyes glancing over in Taehyung's direction every once in a while.
A few awards were announced and more performances followed until the show ended. At the end of the night, among the awards given out, BTS was taking home three, and you one.
As much as you enjoyed watching the performances from other groups and soloists, you were eager for the show to end so you could be with Taehyung again. It wasn't often that you got to hang out, so you took every moment you could.
Your manager dropped you off at the hotel BTS we're staying at, making sure you got inside safely without anyone noticing. You and Taehyung have done this quite a few times before, so you had a system going and you knew how to spend time together in secret.
Giving a few knock to Taehyung's hotel room door, you patiently waited for an answer. A few brief moments later, the door slowly opened, revealing your always handsome boyfriend.
"Surprise." You grinned.
A smile pulled at Taehyung's lips. "I was hoping you'd stop by." He moved aside, allowing you to step into his room.
"Congratulations on your award." He mentioned. "I'm so proud of you."
"I'm the one who should be proud of you. You guys took home three awards."
"I know." He giggled. "It's still crazy to me that we're able to win so many awards."
His arm snaked around your waist as he pulled you towards the bed, tugging you down to sit beside him. "Are you planning to stay long?" He asked, noticing you were still in your nice getup from the awards show.
"I'll stay as long as you want me to."
He grinned cutely. "What about extra clothes?"
"I can always borrow yours."
His grin got bigger upon hearing that. Taehyung always liked it when you wore his clothes. It made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
"If you want to stay the night, I won't complain." He chuckled.
That night, after contacting your manager first, you stayed overnight with Taehyung, lying in bed with him, snuggled into his side while you played with his fingers. You donned one of his Celine shirts that he packed with him, the fabric smelling of him.
"I love this." You murmured.
"What?"
"Being here with you. Together. Just us."
He breathed out a small laugh. "I love it too. I'm sorry we can't spend time together in public."
"It's okay. Maybe one day we can, but I'm fine with this for now."
"Me too."
A soft kiss was pressed to your temple as you drifted off to sleep, your legs tangled with Taehyung's.

Your heart pounded sporadically against your ribcage, hands trembling as you dropped down onto the couch in disbelief.
You picked up your phone, calling Taehyung immediately, the Grammy invite open and sitting on your coffee table.
"Y/n?"
"Tae. I hope I'm not bothering you."
"Not at all. I was actually just about to call you. Is everything alright? Your voice sounds shaky."
"I just got an invite to the Grammys." You responded, trying to hold back the excited squeak that threatened to come out.
"No way. Me too!"
"What? Seriously?"
"Yes! That's why I was going to call you."
"I can't believe this." You muttered mostly to yourself. "Taehyung, we're going to the Grammys!"
"We're going to the Grammys!" He exclaimed, both of you cheering in unison, your excited squeals mixing with his.
This had to be the best day of your life. Not only were you going to the Grammys, but you were going to be there with your boyfriend. Things truly couldn't be better.

Walking the red carpet was surreal. You often found yourself giving your arm a light pinch every so often to make sure what you were experiencing was indeed real. The whole experience felt like a dream.
You spotted the boys further on down getting pictures snapped, stopping for interviews as they made their way down the carpet. They looked dapper as always, especially Taehyung.
After being escorted to your seat, you took a moment to look around and really take in your environment. Being surrounded by so many famous singers felt like a dream. You almost choked on air when you saw Billie Eilish walk in looking stunning as always, even more so in person. Maybe you'd have the guts to talk to her later.
Moments later, your favorite boys filed in, moving to their table which was thankfully right beside yours. Knowing Taehyung would be seated so close to you made you feel giddy, though you'd have to keep the staring to a minimum.
Taehyung gave a glance your way, flashing a smile and nodding to you. You responded with a wave, returning his smile. It was silly pretending not to know each other well. You couldn't help but wonder how the both of you are able to keep up with ruse without cracking up.
It wasn't long before the show started, one of the many popular artists opening the ceremony. You clapped along, bobbing your head to the beat.
Waiting for your boys to perform felt like the longest wait of your life. You'd heard their name being dropped multiple times, the host continuously hinting around at a performance coming up. However, the boys stayed seated, letting you know they wouldn't be performing anytime soon.
Then, finally, they stood up, making your heart jump. You were anticipating their performance, knowing it would be one for the books—it always was. If there's anything these boys know how to do, it's put on a show.
The group disappeared for a moment to change into their performance outfits, returning a few minutes later, taking different seats in the crowd. When you didn't spot a particular bright-eyed maknae, you began looking around the room, your gaze moving up to spot the youngest member standing on a hooklike object suspended in the air, similar to what he stood on during his many Euphoria performances.
The presenter giving out an award became background noise as you watched him above. You couldn't help but chuckle as he clapped for the singer who won the award, peering down from above as they came to claim their trophy. It was only when you brought your gaze back down to the ground that you noticed Taehyung sitting beside a rather popular, breakout singer—Olivia Rodrigo. He wasn't really speaking to her, more focused on the awards presentation. You paid no mind to it until BTS was announced to perform.
Tech noises began to play through the speakers in the venue, the cameras panning to each member one by one starting with Jin, who was sitting at a computer setup. He tapped the screen a few times as spy music began to play. That's when Jungkook came down from the ceiling, hanging onto the large hook. When the cameras got to Taehyung, he was talking to Olivia, nodding his head while she had a bright smile on her face. Your body tensed up immediately. All the other members had been sitting away from the people at the tables... except Taehyung.
There's cameras everywhere, Y/n. Be cool. You reminded yourself, putting on a fake smile as you watched Taehyung lean in and whisper something to Olivia. She reacted with a surprised expression while Taehyung grinned, swiftly pulling out a gold card from behind her head. He looked at her for a long moment, gesturing for her to watch as he flicked the card to Jungkook, making it appear as if the very same card was flung across to the youngest who was standing on the stage.
You swallowed hard as you replayed the scene in your head, unable to push back the jealousy that bubbled up inside of you.
Despite that, you played it cool, reminding yourself that she was quite a bit younger than him, plus, he was dating you, so there was nothing to worry about.
You were able to push aside your unruly emotions and watch their impressive spy-themed performance of Butter, which left you cheering at the top of your lungs. You might be biased, but their performance stood out from all the other performances. It felt like a movie.
Unlike you, the boys were nominated for a Grammy, which didn't surprise you at all. They're worldwide famous and their songs are all over the radio. You weren't upset that you didn't win anything, you were just thankful to be attending the reputable ceremony.
The show was coming to an end and you could hardly sit still as the award announcement for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance drew near. Once again, they kept saying, "Coming up soon." but you knew they would wait until the very end to announce it. They always do.
Finally, after what seemed like ages, the announcer, Avril Lavigne, came to the stage holding an envelope. She did a brief introduction and allowed a clip of the nominees to play before she opened the envelope. You crossed your fingers, hoping to hear BTS. The silence seemed to drag on forever before you heard the results.
"Kiss Me More. Doja Cat featuring SZA." She read with a smile.
Your heart sank. A second year in a row your boys lost. Nevertheless, you put on a smile and clapped, happy for the winners.
Once the ceremony ended, the crowds dispersed, some celebrities going and chatting with others, some snapping pictures together. Lucky for you, you were able to talk with Billie for a few minutes, even getting a quick photo together. You then made your way around to BTS, congratulating them on their amazing performance.
"I'm sorry you guys didn't win." You told Namjoon.
He put on a bright smile. "It's okay. We're just happy to be here and even happier to get to perform for army."
You smiled softly. Namjoon was always so kind and humble, all of them were.
"Jin, you were a great hacker." You told the oldest, referring to his performance.
He straightened his shoulders proudly. "Thank you."
Your eyes moved to Taehyung, that tinge of jealousy sparking in you once again. Not wanting to spend too much time around the boys and cause suspicion, you said your goodbyes and left, riding back to your hotel.
You knew the boys would go live like they always do after American awards shows, so you made sure to watch. Afterwards, you took off your glamorous Grammys outfit and went to take a much needed shower. While showers are supposed to be relaxing and a way for you to clear your head, all you could do was think about that Butter skit. As much as you tried to push it away, it just kept coming back.
After getting out of the shower, you changed into some comfortable pajamas and sat down on the bed. Just as you reached for your phone, it chimed.
Taehyung: Are you busy?
You: No. Why?
Taehyung: We finished our livestream and I was wondering if you and I could hang out.
You: I guess.
A few minutes later, there was a knock at your hotel door. Shuffling towards the entrance, you answered, pulling the door open to reveal Taehyung who appeared to have gotten a shower himself.
He flashed you a warm, boxy smile. "Hi."
"Hi." You responded, your tone more flat than you intend.
Taehyung frowned as he stepped into your room, knowing that something was wrong.
"Is everything alright? You didn't really talk to me after the show."
"No." You answered honestly.
"What's the matter?" He asked gently, placing his hands on your shoulders.
You could never lie to Taehyung, so you told the truth.
"You were being pretty flirty with Olivia tonight." You stated.
He looked taken aback. "What?"
"Don't act like you don't know." Your slight irritation was building and you couldn't stop the way the words spilled from you like word vomit. "You were smirking and being all suave. I was right there watching."
"I think you're blowing things out of proportion."
"Am I? I see you interacting with female idols all the time and I sit there and take it. I never say anything to you."
"Well, if you could communicate it more calmly, that would be nice." He responded, his tone becoming a bit more rough.
"How can I be calm when I've had to deal with this for so long? Am I not enough?"
"You are, Y/n." Taehyung sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "You're looking too far into this. I have no interest in her."
"Didn't seem like it."
At this point, your eyes began to water a little, your angry expression started to crumble as everything you had unconsciously been holding back broke loose. "Tonight I saw you with Olivia and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I try to push it to the back of my mind and tell myself that it's nothing to worry about because I know... should know you would never leave me, but I can't."
Taehyung's gaze softened as his hands found yours, giving them a light squeeze.
"Y/n, you have nothing to worry about. No one has ever tried to make a move on me and if they did, I would turn them down. As for the skit tonight, it was just that... a skit. It was all acting."
Your eyes were cast on the floor, feeling ashamed of your unnecessary jealousy.
"You wanna know what I said to her?"
You glanced up. "What?"
"That it was important business. I didn't say it in English either."
"Really?"
"Yes." He chuckled. "You know, I was so nervous about the performance that I forgot what else I said. I think I told her she needed to act surprised. That's it."
"That's it?"
"That's it." He stated.
You let out a short huff. "Well, I'm embarrassed now. My reaction was so silly."
"It wasn't." He told you. "I understand. I have a confession myself, actually. I get jealous seeing you talk to male idols."
"You do?"
He nodded. "I know you'd never leave me, though. I'm usually able to push my jealousy aside, but that doesn't mean I don't feel it sometimes."
"I can't see how you of all people could be jealous. Look at you." You gestured to him.
He chuckled. "I know I'm really famous or whatever, but I get insecure too."
"Perhaps we should both work on that." You joked.
"We should."
"I'm sorry for being a little snappy earlier." You apologized, your head resting on Taehyung's chest.
"It's fine. I understand, so there's no need for apologies." He wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you over to the bed where you both laid down.
Hearing him say that lifted a weight off your chest.
"Have you eaten?" Taehyung asked.
"Not yet. Have you? I saw you guys had champagne and cake during your live, but I didn't see anything else."
"No. I haven't had a proper meal yet."
"I could get my manager to order us something." You suggested.
"I like that idea."

I'm not a fan of Olivia Rodrigo, but considering the request I was given, I thought Jealousy, Jealousy was a fitting title haha
