This chapter will be what Neji dreamed of during the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
I woke up and I lay on my bed for a while thinking. I feel weird, I feel different. Maybe it is just my head playing games with me.
"Neji, wake up it's already 9am. You're being so lazy" my father said as he came in my room
"I know I just had a weird feeling" I said as I stood up
"Okay well hurry your mom is making breakfast and then you have to go meet with the 4th Hokage" my father said
"Alright I'll be downstairs in a bit" I replied as he left my room
I got up and went to the bathroom. As I look in the mirror I touch my forehead and look at my face. I feel like something is missing but what is it? Am I just going crazy?
Someone help me maybe it's from hanging out too much with Naruto
I changed and went downstairs
"Good morning" I said as I walked in the kitchen I see my father, my uncle and Hinata
"Good morning Neji nii-san" Hinata said
"Good morning" my uncle Hiashi said as he looked at the newspaper
"Here's your plate" my mother said to my father
I felt happy, we were together having breakfast. Life was at peace, we didn't have any divisions we were all equal and they all supported us.
"Here Neji you can have some pumpkin bread" my mother teased
"Mother you know I don't like pumpkin, that doesn't sound appetizing at all. Having an omelette does sound nice" I smiled
"I was kidding, here's your omelette" she handed me a plate with a fluffy omelette
I started eating as my father and uncle started talking
"Well Hizashi remember today you have the meeting with the other heads of the clan" my uncle said
"I know I know older brother, I didn't think it was going to be this much work being the head of the clan" my father said
"Just know I'll always be there with you, advising you but we should start bringing Neji with us. So he can start to understand what the work of the head of the clan is. He needs experience" My uncle said
I was a little shocked
"Neji do you want to go with us tonight?" My father asked
"You should. It will be a good experience after all one day you will be the head of the clan" Hinata said
"Sure, I'll make sure to get home early" I said as I took another bite from my food
"Hinata if you want to join us then you can" my uncle said
"I would prefer not to, father. I'm not really interested" Hinata said shyly
"It's fine don't worry Hina" my father said
"Well I have to get going I'm going meet with the 4th Hokage it's maybe another mission. I've been working too much lately" I said as I put my plate in the sink
"Well right now the demand for Ninja is high, the village is getting bigger and we need to keep working" my uncle said
"Yes, well thank you for the food" I said as I left the kitchen
I put on my shoes and leave. As I'm walking towards the Hokage's office I see Lee and Tenten
"NEJI MY RIVAL MY YOUTHFUL RIVAL AND FRIEND GOOD MORNING" Lee screamed
"Good morning Neji" Tenten said with a cheerful smile
"Good morning to you two" I calmly said
"We have all been summoned to go see the 4th Hokage right?" Tenten asked
"I guess so" a voice said from behind
"Hinata?" I turned around to face her
"Neji nii-San I forgot I had to go as well I think it's a mission for the konoha 11"Hinata said
I nodded
We walked there in silence. We arrive to the Hokage's office, as we walk in I see the 4th Hokage sitting down on his desk. Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Naruto, Kiba, Shino Asuma Sensei, Kurenai and Guy Sensei are already there
"MY LOVELY YOUTHFUL STUDENTS IM SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU ALL TODAY ON THIS WONDERFUL MORNING" Guy Sensei said loudly as he hugged us all, almost choking us all to death
"GOOD MORNING GUY SENSEI I AM READY TO TRAIN AND WORK HARD TODAY" Lee said screaming his head out
"Guy Sensei I think you are hugging us a bit too tightly" Tenten said
"I agree" I said struggling to breath
"IM SO SORRY MY YOUTHFUL STUDENTS I ALMOST KILLED YOU" he said crying
"Guy it's okay they are fine" Kakashi said
"Well you all might be wondering why did I summon you all here but I know you all have been working hard, going on missions every single day so I'm giving you all including the Sensei's 2 days off" The 4th Hokage said
"That's great! Thank you dad" Naruto said
"It was a bit hard to move the missions around but you all deserve it. Now go on and rest up" He said cheerfully looking at us with a genuine smile
"Thank you" we all said as we left
Naruto and Hinata left together. Lee and Guy Sensei went to go train since they had the day off
"Tenten do you want to go on a walk?" I asked her
"Sure!" She happily said
We walked around, talking a little bit. I decided to take her to one of my favorite spots in Konoha. It had a close view to the river. There was a tree where we could sit underneath to enjoy the view and cover us from the sun
I loved going there, to relax and meditate
"Here we are" I said as I sat down on the ground
"Neji, this view is beautiful" Tenten said as her eyes shined
It really was a beautiful place
She sat down next to me, as we peacefully watched the animals and enjoyed the view
"You know I love coming here, it's so calming" I said
"It is, I like this place, want something to drink?" She asked
"Sure" I watched her pull out a scroll and summon two cups of lemonade
"Here you go" she handed my the cup
"You know Tenten, being here I feel free" I said as I took a sip from the lemonade
She smiled at me with her big brown eyes looking at me
"I woke up, feeling different. I woke up feeling happy and free like if someone had let me out of a cage" I said as I laid my head on her shoulder
"Neji... you are free. You are doing your own thing, remember one day you'll be the head of the Hyuga just like you've always dreamed of. You are the genius of the Hyuga clan" she said taking a pause
"You are a great shinobi, a great person and a good friend. You are going to be a great head of clan" she said as she played with my hair
She was the only person who I was so close to, I even let her play with my hair
"You're right, today I'm going with my father and uncle to a meeting with the other heads of other clans. They want me to get experience and learn what is it like being head of a clan" I said
"That's good, Neji get experience. You'll do great" Tenten cheerfully said
We stayed there for a while talking and enjoying the view
"Let's get going I'll walk you home" I said
"Okay" she followed behind me quietly
I wanted to hold her hand, I slowly reached her hand and grabbed it. I felt my cheeks get red, so did she. She was blushing. I hadn't shown my feelings towards her before this was the first time.
As we arrived to her house, we said our goodbyes and I left but she stopped me to give a bag of home made cookies she baked. I thank her and leave. My cheeks were still pink. I shake my head to stop daydreaming. I go back home to read and write on my journal.
I like to keep track of what I do and how my day was. Afterwards I eat a snack. My father and my uncle tell me it's time to go. I follow behind as they walk though the village. We are headed to the Hokage's building. As we arrive we sit down, and wait. The meeting starts and I take notes and carefully listen.
I keep listening and I pay attention at what they talk about. I take as many notes as possible to make sure I learn. Once it's over we walk back home
"Neji you did pretty well. I'm proud of you my son" my father said as we sat down outside drinking tea
"Thanks but I didn't do much all I did was sit and listen to the conversations" I replied taking a sip of the warm tea
"Still I'm proud of how far and how much you've worked these past years. You are the prodigy of the Hyuga and the next head of our clan. You've trained and worked so hard" he said proudly
"Thank you father. I'm happy to take over in a few years. Our village is at peace and we are all together. I feel great, I feel happiness" I said with a relieved look on my face
"Neji, you also will need to find a girlfriend your mother has been bothering me about telling you this" my father said
"About that I have a girl in mind but she's not from the clan" I said taking a sip of tea
"It's the brunette with the two hair buns right? She's in the same team as you" he said
"Yeah it's her. Tenten" I said
"Well, I don't want to stop you from being with her. If you are happy with her then that's all that matters. As long as I get some cute grandchildren that surpass you both, are super strong and lovable then I'm fine with it" he said as he finished his tea
"I'm glad to know that, I haven't asked her out or anything but I have liked her for some time. I think it's just the way she is and how she is towards me. Always friendly, nice and caring. She's always pushing me to do good in training. We have been friends for along time that it just somehow happened but then also I don't want to ask her out because I feel like I won't be there for her. I'll be busy with training and the clan that I don't want her to feel unloved" I said
"Well Neji if she cares about you and feels the same about you then she will understand just like your mother. We met when we were young in the academy and ever since then I have loved her and I still do. She knew when I became head of the clan that things would change. I was going to be busy and working but she stayed with me. Then she found out she was pregnant with you and I tried my best to be there with her at all times. You also have to put in the effort" my father said
"I'll think about it. I need to go more often with you and my uncle to these meetings" I said popping a cookie into my mouth
Tenten baked some jam cookies for the team. I am surprised she didn't burn her house down but after all she did take some classes from Hinata and Hinata is a pretty good baker.
"I am guessing she baked those cookies because Hinata doesn't bake cookies. She either bakes cinnamon rolls or strawberry bread" My father said as he grabbed one of the cookies from the plate
"Yes, she asked Hinata to help her learn how to bake. That's why she sometimes comes here to get baking lessons from Hinata. I'm surprised these taste good, she is good at cooking but bad at baking" I said laughing
"Oh, well these cookies are good tell her to bake more for us. I am not a fan of sweets but these are good" My father grabbed another cookie from the plate then got up
"Just think about it Neji, don't stress yourself out. Remember child I am proud of you. The Prodigy of the Hyuga clan" he left
I chuckled
"The prodigy of the Hyuga clan" I thought to myself
I stayed outside, for a while longer. I was thinking and eating the rest of the cookies she gave me.
"In a few more years I will be the head of the Hyuga clan" I thought to myself with a smile on my face

I start slowly to gain back consciousness on what's going on I feel my body being dropped as the coverings start to disappear. Is the war over? The Infinite Tsukuyomi was released! Did they defeat Madara?
I question so many things but I run off to find Tenten, I need to make sure she is alive and well. There are so many questions no enough answers
