CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
Two years, it wasn't a long time ago but why are they so different? Their eyes, they were cold and emotionless. There isn't even a small amount of care written on them. Of course, I remember that they treated me coldly at first but this is just different! No matter how cold they were at our first encounter, I wasn't disrespected like this. I felt anxious and uneasy as they all eyed me.
"Feeling uncomfortable?" Luhan said with a playful smile as he stared right into my eyes.
"Why am I here?" I asked nervously. Is Gail the same as me? Was she also sent here as payment?
I heard everyone, except Sehun, chuckling in amusement. "You went here at your own will. Why are you even asking us that question?" I looked at Kyungsoo in confusion when he answered.
What? Why would someone go here at their own will? Unless she's...
"Seems like she's forgetful," Suho laughed. "This is your new job. All you have to do is live with us. Sounds easy right?" he asked as he stepped near me.
"But of course you can't just live here without doing anything for us," I flinched when he suddenly whispered in my ear.
"W-what do you mean?" I stammered. I'm not used to them being like this. It just doesn't feel right at all!
"You earn money by pleasing your customers. Don't act clueless unless you want to test my patience." Tao scoffed. They probably can't read my mind, it's either that or they can just tell what Gail was thinking when she's in this situation. Now it makes sense why Gail looks like this.
"I-I made a mistake. I already changed my mind," I said as an excuse but I think that annoyed them even more.
"You won't be allowed to change your mind when I'm around." Chen suddenly pushed me against the door.
"Stop it!" I couldn't help but sigh in relief when Sehun pulled him away. I could see the frustration in his eyes.
"Damn it Sehun, you always interfere. You know you can't do anything about it anyway." Chen hissed.
"Well, I can't just stand here and watch. You can't just treat humans as toys and just throw them out like trash afterward." my eyes widened in shock upon hearing Sehun. I find it hard to believe that they did this in the past. They all showed me a caring side, they've always looked after me... this is something that I won't be able to accept so easily.
"Then do what you normally do. Stay out of this." I never thought I'd ever hear Tao with such a heartless tone.
I looked towards Sehun, I could see the concern in his eyes. "I'm sorry," he muttered before he headed upstairs. Did he leave me? Why? I noticed a bunch of smirks appearing on his brothers' faces once he left. Is this the way on how he was treated like an outcast?
"Luhan, bring Gail to her room for a while." I couldn't be more relieved. The last thing I'd want to happen is to be left with all of them.
"Understood," for a moment I thought Luhan shot his brothers a smug look before taking all the luggage that Gail brought with her.
I let him lead the way and I trailed behind him. As I had anticipated, Gail had the same room that I did. So all the past girls that came here all stayed in the same room.
"You may leave," I quickly said once we entered. I was facing the window since I was too nervous to face Luhan. Even though I know him well, I'm not Paige at the moment, this is Gail and this isn't the exact same Luhan that I know.
I heard some footsteps before hearing the door getting shut. I heaved a deep sigh as I turned around. I stiffened when I saw that Luhan was still inside. "Why are you still here?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Am I not allowed here?" he casually walked over to me.
I would've stepped away from him but he already had a hold on my arm. "Hi Gail, my name is Luhan," his face was only a few inches away from mine. "Heard it right?" I slowly nodded. "Now say it."
I kept silent, I know how this goes already. "Now I don't want you being stubborn alright?" he tightened his grip on my arm as he pressed his body closer to mine...not this again.
"Luhan," I whispered. I immediately felt his lips on top of mine and I felt some of my energy leaving. He stepped back with a lopsided smile on his face. "Good girl," he ran his fingers through my hair before he left the room.
I wasn't completely drained. It's either he didn't feed off too much or Gail just has more strength than I do. Probably both. I sat on the bed as I took a deep breath. Basically, I'm stuck here until Aleister gets what he wants. I can't escape this 'reality' that he speaks of.
"You'll be stuck here for a while. Might as well enjoy your stay right? Make the most of it dear Paige."
That sick bastard just doesn't know when to stop.
I slowly got up and I went outside my room. Since I'll be stuck here, I might as well investigate why they're acting differently. I was feeling a bit lightheaded as I slowly walked across the halls. I suddenly heard some footsteps coming from the other end of the hall. Without thinking, I walked into the nearest room I could find. I leaned onto the door as I waited for the footsteps to fade away. I was just about to leave the room when I saw a reflection on the doorknob.
"Leaving already?" I didn't need to turn around to make sure who it is. I'm certain that this is Kai.
I was forcefully turned around and I met a pair of mischievous looking eyes that were constantly changing colors from hues of red to brown. "You just got here though," he said in a low husky voice as he seductively bit me in the ear.
I pushed him but he suddenly slammed his hands onto the door. He used his own body to barricade me from making any kind of movement. I tried kneeing him but he was able to stop me.
"The other girls tried that too," he chuckled.
"Stay awammmh-" he suddenly covered my mouth with one of his hands.
"Shhh," he said. "If my brothers hear you, my fun will be all over," he whispers. "I won't feed off you, so there's nothing you should worry about."
Before I could even try to make any attempts of escaping, he smashed his lips against mine and he began to kiss me roughly. I tried to push him away but he'll just end up pushing back onto me.
He stepped away for a moment when both of us had to pant for air. I could see my lipstick smeared all over his lips. "Feel free to go. I'm satisfied." he smirked. "Come to me again if you're bored," he stepped back and sat on his bed.
I hurriedly left his room and I ran aimlessly around the house. I was able to reach an open balcony. By that time, my knees gave in and I landed on the ground. I was panting due to exhaustion and the fact that my heart is racing isn't helping either.
"Coming here is the worst mistake of your life," I turned and I saw Sehun.
As if by instinct, I got up and I stepped away from him. "No worries, I'm not like them." he reassured. I found myself relaxing a bit, why do I always trust Sehun so easily?
"Why are they like this?" I asked.
"I'm not in the position to tell you that," he answered. "You should just stay in your room since it's safer. You aren't allowed here since it's my part." Sehun said.
"But-" his expression suddenly turned cold.
"Please just stay out of here. I'm not allowed to even talk to you, but I already gave you enough warnings. Just avoid my brothers as much as you could." with that, he disappeared.
He's exactly the same as when I first met him. I calmed myself down for a while before heading back to my room. Sehun did have a point, staying in my room would be better than walking around the mansion and meeting one of them... well at least that's what I thought.
I didn't expect to see Chanyeol sitting on my bed once I came back.
"Why are you here?" I asked him. He only made a gesture for me to come near him. I cautiously walked towards him.
"I came to check up on you," he replied.
I stopped halfway. There's no way that he came here to JUST check up on me. He suddenly teleported in front of me. I froze when I saw him sniffing me. "You have Kai's scent," he leaned towards me, his face was so close. "And also Luhan's," he added.
"You haven't been here too long yet you're already getting naughty with my brothers," he chuckled deeply.
"I'm not here to play games with any of you," I told him. He looked at me with his eyebrows raised.
"Oh really?" he stepped forward and I stepped back.
"Because that's not how it looks when you're playing around with your customers at your job," he remarked. I bit my lip in frustration. Gail is different compared to me, we came here under different circumstances and we both had different lives. That probably explains why they're acting this way towards her.
Before I could even register what's happening, Chanyeol suddenly pushed me and I ended up falling on the bed. He was hovering on top of me, he grabbed my arms and pinned them.
"I want you to tell my brothers that I don't plan on letting anyone take a step ahead of me," he said as he buried his face on my neck.
Is this seriously how they treated all the girls that came here? What would their mother think?! And why is Mr. Damon letting them do such a thing?! Are they forgetting the fact that their mother is a mortal too?
I squirmed underneath him but my efforts were to no avail. I grimaced when I felt him biting and kissing my neck simultaneously.
"Chanyeol,"
I heard Chanyeol cuss before he looked towards the door. I faced the door and I saw Xiumin standing there. "Seems like I came at the wrong time," he chuckled. "Suho is calling you, should I tell him that you're busy?" he added.
Chanyeol groaned as he pushed himself off of me. "I'm going, Xiumin." he said as he fixed his messed-up clothes.
"What about Gail?" he asked.
Chanyeol looked at me one more time before turning back to Xiumin. "She's all yours," he ran his fingers through his hair. "You ruined my mood anyway."
Once he was gone, Xiumin wasted no time and he immediately approached me. He reached out his hand and he pulled me upwards into a sitting position.
"Had enough?" he asked as he tucked my stray hairs behind my ear. I hissed in pain when I felt his fingers tracing over the part of my neck that Chanyeol bit. "That's one obvious hickey," he chuckled.
"Please, just leave me alone." I looked into his eyes but his eyes showed no care at all.
"Do you actually think that I came here, called Chanyeol, and found you in a vulnerable state to just leave afterward?" he said with smirk. "Afraid not," He placed his hand at the back of my head and he pulled me in for a kiss.
"You heard Chanyeol calling my name right?" he breathed and I nodded. "Say it," he said in between his kisses.
I shook my head and I gasped when he deepened the kiss. "Just say it. I could do this all night, I'm warning you." he panted.
"Xiumin," I sighed in defeat.
He crashed his lips onto mine and I felt most of my energy leaving. I was frustrated, I just can't believe Aleister. This isn't reality... but this is all too real! I fell onto the bed once Xiumin was done feeding off me. He said no word as he left me, the satisfied smirk on his face was enough.
I was feeling really dizzy so I ended up drifting off to sleep.
"Hey, wake up,"
I was expecting that one of them would wake me up, call me for dinner and then I realize that everything was all a bad dream. Apparently, it isn't a dream, otherwise, Tao wouldn't be so rough in waking me up right now.
"I said wake up," he grunted as he harshly shook my shoulders.
I groaned as I slowly got up. "Don't keep us waiting, we're all waiting for you downstairs." he said as before leaving.
I followed him slowly since I still felt nauseous. Half of my energy still hasn't returned and my legs were trembling.
We reached the family hall and everyone was in there. I found it really awkward since Luhan, Kai, Chanyeol, and Xiumin were in here as well. "Well someone's been busy," Chen chuckled as he moved behind me and lifted my hair thus exposing the hickey that Chanyeol left.
I slapped his hand away and I covered the mark with my hair. "Hmmm... I suddenly had the urge to add more." Lay drawled. I shot him a glare yet he simply winked at me.
"As much as I hate to say this... Gail isn't looking too good, we should at least give her a break." Suho said. "For a short while at least," his hand suddenly snaked its way onto my waist and I didn't hesitate to push his away.
"Have you all ever heard of respect for a lady?!" I glared at all of them.
"Do you think we'd care about useless things such as respect? Don't be too naive because you're just beginning to live with us." Kyungsoo said.
"How can you even say that?" everyone was surprised when Sehun spoke. "Mother taught us all there is to know about respect so why are you all acting like complete jerks? I know it's been hard for all of us when she passed away and I know not having father around the house is difficult but is this how we're going to live for the rest of our lives?" he exclaimed.
Everyone had a change of aura at his sudden outburst. Could it be that they're all like this because their mother just died recently?
"Stop bringing that up every time Sehun because it's getting tiring," Chanyeol huffed. "It's useless anyway. Mother's gone and father isn't around anymore so what's the use?" he said coldly.
Sehun looked like he was ready to punch someone. I could feel his anger boiling up. "They're no longer a part of our lives Sehun. Now go along and don't interfere with us if you're against all of this." Tao chuckled.
Sehun snapped and he suddenly tackled Tao. Both of them fell on the floor and their brothers had to take action to separate them. This is bad.
"Stop being so childish Sehun!" Luhan said as he pulled Sehun away. Sehun was enraged. His eyes were glowing red and he still made his way towards Tao.
I was too shocked to even move away. Sehun was probably too blinded by rage that's why he ended up pushing me out of the way. I landed roughly against the floor but I still got up.
"It's her fault for interfering," Chanyeol said.
"It's too early for Gail," Chen commented.
I knew what comes next, when I turned around Sehun was already changing forms. I forced myself to stand up and I made a quick run for it. I went to the front door and I wasn't too surprised when it wouldn't open.
"Going somewhere?" I turned and I saw Sehun standing right behind me.
"You don't seem too surprised at all," I froze when his fingers caressed my face. He pulled me in for a kiss and I could only grimace when I felt him biting my lip. I could already taste my own blood.
He stepped away with a serious look on his face. "Not good enough," I gasped when he wrapped his hand around my neck. I looked around and the rest were just watching us. I tried to pry his hand away but he only tightened the grip as he lifted me higher.
"L-let go!" I wheezed but he just had a sick smile on his face as I felt his nails digging onto my flesh. He tightened the grip so much that I felt like my neck was about to snap. He lifted me off higher until my feet could no longer touch the ground.
"Goodbye," Sehun said as he slammed me against the door.
I was in so much pain. My vision was blurry and I feel like I'm about to pass out. I was fighting at first but I gave in and I just closed my eyes... the last thing I heard was his laughter that was slowly fading away.

in the old version, it was Baekhyun instead of Chanyeol that was waiting for Gail in the room. I decided to change it since the other brothers need their screen time. LMAO.
