Who's excited for part 2 👀
Betty POV:
It was later in the night and dinner had been served.
We were each given two burrito type things. To me and most of my friend group, they tasted like a watery, sloppy mess. I managed to eat one, just so I wouldn't be hungry but I couldn't bare to even attempt the second one.
"Sweets, do you want this?" I asked him with a frown.
"Hell yeah" he said as he took my plate.
"How can you eat that?" I said in disgust.
"It's okay" he said as he shrugged his shoulders.
"B, come to the bathroom with me?" Veronica asked. I nodded my head.
We began walking from the dinner area towards the bathroom. It was dark by now and there was very minimal light. This is the definition of unsafe.
"So, what's going on with you and Jughead?" She asked.
"I broke up with him. He doesn't trust me to sleep next to Sweet Pea, a guy I've barely talked to up until today" I said and she rolled her eyes.
"You know" she started and I let out a playful groan.
"Whenever you start a sentence like that, I know it'll be bad" I said and she chuckled.
"All I was going to say is, you two seem to be getting along pretty well" she said, which to my surprise was pretty normal.
"Yeah, I guess we have" I said as I shrugged my shoulders.
"That's why I think you should keep getting closer" she said.
"I'm going to regret asking this, but you're implying friendship, right?" I asked her. A grin formed on her face as she shook her head.
"Nope" she said.
"I've just only started getting to know him, why would I want to date him?" I asked her.
"Because why not? He's hot, you're hot and you two would be a cute couple" she said and I chuckled.
"I'm not looking for anything right now" I said.
"That's alright, build the friendship but also make it clear you're in love" she said and I rolled my eyes playfully as we walked into the bathroom.
"No" I said and she groaned.
She went to the bathroom and then we started heading back to the dinner area.
"He's your type" she sung out with a smile.
"You don't know my type" I chuckled and she raised an eyebrow.
"Bad boy, hot, not completely dumb, someone you can be yourself around, a guy who isn't afraid to show you affection and Pete Davidson" she said, making me chuckle.
"Okay, maybe you know a thing or two" I said.
"See, I listen. I can get you two together by tonight" she said.
"Veronica, no" I told her seriously.
I know my best friend and she definitely has the courage to tell Sweet Pea I like him, which isn't true. Veronica lives in a world of her own.
"Okay, okay, you need more time. I'll just talk about it to Toni and she'll tell Fangs who will tell Sweet Pea" she said and I let out a sigh.
"Our friendship is on the rocks" I said and she frowned.
"You're mean" she said as we began approaching our friends.
"I love you, but do not say a word about this conversation" I said seriously.
"Fine, only because you're in denial" she said as we approached the other three, Fangs, Toni and Sweet Pea.
It started getting late and we had to go to bed, or in our case, unsupportive yoga mats and sleeping bags.
Sweet Pea and I walked back to our tent together and we both let out a sigh, looking at our tent.
"This is going to be one long night" he said.
"And freezing" I said and he nodded his head.
Sweet Pea and I got into the tent and as soon as I sat down, I could feel the largest rock underneath us. I looked to Sweet Pea who obviously felt it too, based on the way he was looking at me.
"Sweet Pea" I said and he gave me a hesitant smile.
"Yes?" He asked me.
"I feel a boulder underneath us" I said and he gave me a fake shocked look.
"What? No way" he said and I let out a chuckle and then a sigh.
"You'll forget it's there in a couple minutes" he said as I reached into my bag to pull out a blanket I had brought.
"How the hell did you fit that in your bag?" Sweet Pea asked with an amused tone.
"It was a two person job" I said making us both chuckle.
"Are you really that cold though?" He asked as we both laid down.
"Sweets, it's like two degrees, of course I am" I said and he rolled his eyes playfully.
"Dramatic" he said and I raised an eyebrow.
"So you're telling me you're not cold?" I asked him skeptically.
"Not even a bit" he said way too cockily.
I rested the back of my hand over his and it was freezing. I chuckled as I shook my head.
"Seems like you're a bit to cocky to ask to share my blanket" I said as I pushed some of it over him.
"Me too cocky? Never" he said making me chuckle.
By this point we could hear the teachers telling us all to quieten down. It was only nine thirty so I don't really know how they expect us to go to sleep.
"You're the embodiment of cocky" I grinned.
"I don't know where you would ever get that idea from" he whispered as we were both laying on our backs, looking to the top of the tent.
"Yeah, how could I ever get that impression?" I whispered, making us both chuckle.
We settled down for a bit and then he spoke up again.
"What do you want to do tomorrow? They're going biking and hiking and I'm thinking we trash the teachers tents. Thoughts?" He asked in a whisper.
The teachers were basically glamping. They had huge tents each to themselves. They had fold up beds and were able to be on their phones whenever they wanted. We weren't supposed to bring our phones but of course most people did. The only reason I didn't was because I was too paranoid I'd loose it.
"You realise they would instantly know it's you, right?" I whispered.
"How?" He whispered back.
"Well you did spray paint a Serpent symbol in the middle of the hallway" I started but he interrupted me.
"I didn't do that" he said and I turned my head to face him.
"You did get suspended" I chuckled.
"Yeah but I really didn't do it" he said seriously so I nodded my head.
"But besides from that, you're the only person who isn't participating in the activities. It kinda leads to you" I said and he smirked.
"Well it'll lead back to you too, you're not participating" he said and I grinned.
"Who do you think they're going to blame? Me, someone who has never gotten in any serious trouble or you, who has been suspended and gets detentions every second day" I said and he chuckled.
"Maybe the odds are slightly against me" he grinned.
"Have you ever had a detention?" He asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.
"Only once when we had a whole year level detention" I said and he looked to me, with the dim lighting I could see the outline of his dropped jaw.
"How the hell have you never had a detention? It's apart of my daily life" he said making me chuckle.
For another hour or so we talked about a lot of random things. We talked about Riverdale High before they were transferred, as well as the Serpents.
At some point we both decided to call it a night and try to fall asleep.

Sweet Pea and I woke up at around the same time. With the minimal amount of space in the tent, I tried stretching which instantly sent a shooting pain up my back. It's that damn rock we slept on.
"Fucking hell" I mumbled.
"Oh I really fucked up" he mumbled out in pain.
"You think?" I groaned as I tried to slowly sit up.
"This is your fault, you know I can't be trusted to do things alone" he said and I turned my head to face him.
"You had a simple task Sweets, check for rocks" I sighed as he sat up.
"I'm sorry" he said seriously, which I felt bad.
I wasn't really angry that he didn't check before he put up the tent. I was just messing around.
"It's okay" I mumbled as I rubbed my eyes.
"Do you know what time it is?" I asked him since I knew he had his phone.
I watched as he pulled out his phone and then he looked back up to me in surprise.
"It's six fifty" he said and I returned his same look.
"What the fuck" I said.
"It's because of those damn birds" he said making me chuckle.
Last night I had absolutely terrible sleep. I couldn't really find a comfortable position to sleep in, my ears were freezing the whole time which made me extremely thankful for the blanket I had. At least some part of my body was warm. I woke up numerous times throughout the night so overall, just terrible. I'm really not excited to do this again tonight.
"Did you actually get much sleep?" I asked him as he yawned.
"I would be lucky to have four hours" he groaned out.
"Same" I said.
We could hear voices coming from outside the tent so we decided to get out of the tent.
We each unzipped our sides of the tent and it instantly filled the small, almost claustrophobic space with cold air. I think this is the definition of my pure hell.
I got out of the tent and stood up, finally being able to fully stretch out my body.
Once Sweet Pea and I adjusted to being in the foggy terrain, we saw Fangs and Veronica walk up to our area.
Veronica walked straight up to me and wrapped her arms around me. She rested her head on my shoulder and let out a sigh.
"I don't want to breathe another breath" she said, making myself and the boys laugh.
"I'm guessing neither of you slept too well?" I asked as I looked to Fangs who was shaking his head.
"Absolutely terrible. I was cold and scared a beer was going to get into my tent" Fangs said making me chuckle as Veronica stood up straight.
"I don't think there would be any bears by a lake" I chuckled.
"You never know Betts" he said making Sweet Pea laugh.
The four of us continued to talk as others were starting to wake up around us too.
The rest of our friend group soon joined us which included Jughead. I know Fangs, Toni and Archie can tell there's something going on between Jughead and I but it's not something I want to talk about while I'm here. It's also complicated because Jughead is friends with half of these people. It's a bad situation to be in.
Soon enough we were called over for breakfast. It was another sad sight. There was burnt toast and sloppy but so thick oatmeal. Thankfully, there was some fruit so I took an apple.
Both Veronica and I opted for fruit while Fangs picked toast and Sweet Pea chose oatmeal.
I watched as Fangs tried to use his plastic knife to scrape the burnt parts off of his toast and Sweet Pea ate his glue like oat meal as if it was nothing.
"I seriously have to ask Sweets, are you okay?" I asked.
"You're just a picky eater" he said.
"I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot stick" Veronica agreed with me and he chuckled.
"You didn't know that tents were a real life thing and not just a movie prop before a couple days ago" he said and I held back a laugh.
"I'm sure other people didn't know either. Plus, you had never even heard of Yves Saint Laurent before like a month ago" she reasoned and I smirked as I looked to her.
"V, your entitlement is showing" I joked and the boys chuckled.
We soon finished breakfast and I was thankfully able to get away from Jughead's angry looks. He can't stand the fact that I'm getting along with Sweet Pea.
As we each separated into our groups again, it was just Sweet Pea and I walking around the place that was completely silent. All the camp leaders and teachers were out doing their activities which took place away from the camping area.
As we walked and talked I thought about Veronica describing my type. Although she hit the nail on the head for my love of Pete Davidson, she was right in everything else that she said. All qualities that are able to be related back to the one and only Sweet Pea.
Sweet Pea and I's friendship has definitely grown a lot in the past 24 hours. I mean we've always been friendly with each other but we've never really ever hung out alone, let alone have a conversation without other people around us. So in that sense it's been really nice getting to know him.
I have really enjoyed our conversations and he makes me laugh a lot. I don't think a relationship with him would be a bad thing but it's definitely not something I would want now. And the idea of us dating is kinda daunting because I know all the accusations that Jughead will throw around. The only reason I'm even contemplating the idea of us is because Jughead and I are over. I wouldn't be having the same conversation I'm having with myself if him and I were still together.
"So, you still not down to trash the teachers tents?" He asked as he looked down to me.
"Still a no" I said and he let out a small huff.

It was the next day and we were all finally heading back to the bus.
I was carrying one of my bags and Sweet Pea carried my other one and his. But of course before he offered to help me, he laughed and watched as I struggled.
On the bus we were instructed to stay in our groups, I'm guessing because it'd be easier to mark the roll and go check if we were all there.
We had been on the road for an hour and Sweet Pea had fallen asleep on me. His head rested on my shoulder which undoubtedly is going to give him a sore neck when he wakes up. I could barely keep my eyes open so I rested my head on top of his and closed my eyes.
Some time later I felt him slightly move, he sat up straight and I did too. I watched as he repositioned himself so that his body was facing me.
"This will be more comfortable" he said as he motioned for me to rest my back against his chest.
I did as he motioned for me to do and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I rested my head in between his neck and shoulder and closed my eyes.
"Thanks Sweets" I mumbled tiredly.
"You're welcome Princess" he whispered.
I fell asleep for majority of the drive back to school and I'm guessing Sweet Pea did too.
We both woke up and he slightly tightened his grip around me. A small, content grin formed on my face as I snuggled my head into his neck.
"Can I take you out on a date?" I heard him whisper into my ear. I moved my head so I could look at him.
"Not yet" I smiled and he nodded his head understandingly.
"Because you just got done with Jughead?" He asked and I nodded my head.
We soon arrived back to school and Sweet Pea and I said our goodbyes as he and Fangs headed to his truck.
I saw my brother waiting for me and once he put my bags in the back, he wrapped me up into a hug.
"How was it?" He asked with a smile.
"Terrible but amazing" I said and he let out a chuckle.
