Background info :
Damian and Marinette started dating when they were 15. They met when they were really young because their moms were friends. They do long distance which is self explanatory.
Nobody knew they were dating. Except for their families.
Yes Lila happened. But... it only distanced Marinette and her class. Alya, Nino and Adrien still talk to her some times. (Adrien got a small crush on Marinette due to Ladybug constantly rejecting him)
Lila got exposed shortly after she made the class become distant. Yes the miraculous are a thing.
They are 17 in this.
Sabine was also an assassin so she can literally call Talia on speed dial. Talia isn't that bad for the sake of the one shot.

Marinette hasn't been doing so well. Mentally and physically. At the moment she was all depressed and at the same time she was sick. That just put her in a bad mood.
She had skipped school mostly all week. The only person she has talked to is her loving boyfriend and her parents.
Alya, Nino, and Adrien are getting worried about Marinette.

Damian missed his girlfriend dearly... so when early that week she face timed him and she looked upset he thought it that then was a great time to get a ticket to Paris and visit her.
He didn't tell her though.
So he got a ticket to Paris and now he is in Paris. Marinette would've been in school right now but he suspected that she was still in bed.
Once he made it to the bakery he entered and was greeted by Sabine.
"Damian! What a lovely surprise. I hope you know that Marinette is really sick." Sabine said as she gave him a hug.
Damian hugs Sabine back. "That's why I came actually. I wanted to make sure she was okay."
Sabine smiles softly. "That's so sweet. She has really been down lately. Apart of it because she has missed you. I hope you know how much you make her happy."
Damian's lips twitched upwards. "I've missed her a lot too. Is she in her room?"
Sabine sighed. "Yes but I would like you to at least try and get her to sit in the living room."
Damian starts heading to the stairs. "I'll try."
As he enters Marinette's room he ses Marinette in a cocoon of blankets, sleeping lightly on her chaise. He quietly made his way towards her. He sat on the chaise besides her feet.
"Hey." He says softly as he runs his hands through her hair.
Marinette's eyebrows furrow as she rolls over. Damian chuckles. He bends down to kiss her forehead. Marinette coughed a little and opened her eyes. She looked a Damian and it took her a moment to process things.
"Dami?" She said in a tired voice.
Damian smiles. "I'm right here."
Marinette sits up and hugs him. "I missed you so much." She mummers.
Damian hugs Marinette tightly. "I missed you too. I heard you were sick. How are you feeling?"
Marinette pulls away, her eyes held unshed tears. "I hate feeling like this, Damian. It hurts! I don't like feeling so weak."
Damian presses his forehead against Marinette's. "I know you don't like it. It'll be okay... I promise. For now we are going to go downstairs, get you some medicine, and then watch movies. Sound good?"
Marinette nods her head. Damian gets up and then holds onto Marinette as she slowly gets up.
"You okay?" Damian asks.
"I feel light headed." Marinette mumbles.
Damian pulls Marinette closer and leads her downstairs. "It will be alright, Love"
Damian helps her to the living room and once she is on the couch he goes to the medicine cabinet. He grabs a bottle of pills. (Not gonna name then because i'm simply stupid) He then fixes her a glass of water.
"Here take this." Damian hands Marinette the pill and the glass of water.
Marinette takes the pill and hands the glass back to Damian. Damian places a hand on Marinette's forehead.
"I'm gonna get you a wet rag. You're burning up." Damian says softly.
Marinette just nods. Damian gets a wash cloth and runs it under cold water. He walks back over to Marinette and places the rag on her forehead. He grabs the TV remote and sits beside Marinette who in turn snuggles against him.
Damian kisses Marinette forehead. "I hope you feel better, Habibi."
Marinette snuggles closer to him. "I love you, Shaytani."
Damian smiles softly. "And I love you, Hayati."
Soon the both of them fell asleep in each other's embrace while watching a Disney movie.

As soon as school let out Alya, Adrien and Nino gathered at the front of the school.
"Do you think Marinette is okay?" Adrien asks.
Alya sighs. "I hope so. She hasn't been replying to anybody."
"Maybe we should go check on her." Nino says.
Adrien smiles. "I'm sure Sabine would let us see her."
Alya grins. "Yeah! You're totally right. We can visit her and make sure she is okay. And if she isn't we can help her!"
"Perfect!" Nino says.
They then set on their way to the bakery. Upon arriving they see Sabine re-entering the bakery from the stair well. She had a soft look on her face.
"Mrs Cheng?" Alya calls out.
Sabine looks at the three in shock but recovers quickly. "What are you guys doing here?"
"We came to check on Marinette!" Adrien smiles.
Sabine hesitates. "She is really sick at the moment and will most likely not comprehend half the things you say." (she lied okay?)
"That's totally fine du- I mean Ma'am. But we just want to make sure our friend is okay." Nino says.
Sabine sighs. "She is upstairs eating a soup I made. She has company all ready so make sure to give her space to breathe. Don't be too long because her energy drains quickly at the moment."
Alya smiles. "Don't worry! We will make it quick."
As they make their way up the stairs they question each other.
"Who do you think is here?" Adrien asks.
"Who knows dude. Could be anybody." Nino says.
"What if she has a boyfriend?" Adrien says.
"Nonsense! She likes you!" Alya says.
Adrien pauses as a blush creeps up his neck. "She- She likes me?"
Alya stops. "Oh she is gonna- wait is that a blush? Omg you like her back! Best day ever!"
They stop in front of the door. You could hear somebody talking. Sounded like a man their age. Maybe older? They also heard Marinette's quiet voice.
Alya raised and eyebrow. Nino and Adrien shrugged. They silently open the door so they can investigate without the person knowing they were there.
"Angel, please eat." Damian said.
Marinette laid her head on the kitchen island. "I can't."
"Just one bite of the soup and see how you feel after, please." Damian says as he ran his fingers through Marinette's hair.
Marinette groans. "Fine." She lifts her head and takes a spoonful of the soup and eats it.
"See that wasn't so hard." Damian says.
"It was very hard. Now I think I need some cuddles to help heal me from that very hard work out." Marinette says.
Damian rolls his eyes. "Eat your food, love. Cuddles are later."
Marinette huffs but keeps eating anyways. She then pauses. "Did you tell your dad you were coming?"
Damian freezes. "Um... that's not important."
Marinette's eyes widen. "You didn't tell him?"
"That's a conversation for later." Damian mutters.
Marinette just shrugs and keeps eating the soup. Damian walks around the kitchen island and hugs Marinette from behind.
Adrien glares daggers at Damian. Alya and Nino look confused.
"What are you doing?"Marinette asks, setting her spoon down.
"Hugging you." Damian mumbles.
"Why?" Marinette asks.
"Cant a dude hug his girlfriend?" As Damian says this Adrien, Alya, and Nino gasp.
Adrien was too stunned to speak and he ended up bumping into an umbrella that was hung up and it fell down.
Damian and Marinette freeze. "What was that?" Marinette whispers.
"I dont know." Damian says.
Marinette stands up and look in a hidden cabinet for her mother's katana. Damian already has his.
Damian looks at Marinette. "No you are not using that."
"I don't care." Marinette says.
They both creep towards the front door which is where they heard the sound.
"Please don't be a killer. Please don't be a robber. Please let us live. I am not ready to die today. I pray to the gods I hold in my pocket that I will not die. Oh and that Damian wont die." Marinette whispers to herself.
"Wow thanks." Damian mutters.
Marinette rolls her eyes. As soon as they round the corners they aim their katanas at Adrien, Alya, and Nino's necks.
"Leave this instant! For if you must stay you shall face a long and painful death." Marinette says with her eyes closed
Damian looks at Marinette weirdly. "What the fuck."
Marinette looks at Damian. "What?"
Before he could answer Sabine walks in through the front door. She looks at the scene in front of her and raises an eyebrow.
"Mi hermosa hija, why do you have my katana in your hands while you are sick. Better yet why are you and Damian pointing blades at people?"
Marinette smiles nervously. "You see.... wethoughtweweregonnadiesoIlookedinyoursecretcabinetthingandgrabbedoneofyourkatanassothatwewouldntdiebutIdontthinkwewilldieseeingasthepeoplewhoknockedsomethingdownwereactuallyAdrienAlyaandNino...?" Marinette says but it turned out as a question.
Sabine just pinches the bridge of her nose and takes the katanas from Damian and Marinette.
"Wha-" Damian starts.
"Do you want me to get your mother because I can...." Sabine says.
"No." Damian says quickly.
Marinette laughs. Sabine turns to her with an eyebrow raised. "You think that's funny?"
Marinette suddenly gains a straight face. "No, of course not Mother."
"That's what I thought." Sabine turns around and walks away.
Marinette starts chuckling as soon as Sabine leaves the room.
"My mom threatened you with your mom."
Damian rolled his eyes. "Your mom is scary."
"So is yours." Marinette adds.
"Um excuse me but Marinette.... I thought you liked Adrien." Alya says.
"Says who?" Marinette asks.
"Um...." Alya starts.
"Exactly. Now leave bitch." Marinette then pushes the three out of the door.
