No one's P.O.V.
"(Y/N)? Where were you again?" Shu asked raising an eyebrow at the (h/c) girl who had just entered the training arena.
"Um...I...I...overslept?...Yeah I just overslept. Sorry I won't do it again." She nervously smiled, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly. This made Shu sigh.
"Y'know, Fubuki and I were waiting for you..." He explained. Even though he knew (Y/N) always made false excuses, he never pressured her or anything because he thought that she will explain it herself when she gets comfortable.
But now, things were starting to get out of hand. She would often come late to trainings or sometimes would even skip the sessions.
This was starting to get Shu concerned for his student's well-being.
Shu sighed once more, before turning to his other student as he began,
"Fubuki, you can go and have a break. I need to speak with (Y/N), in private for a moment."
Fubuki nodded as he replied, "Sure, take all the time you need." And he walked away, leaving his mentor and one of his friends alone.
After he was gone, Shu focused his attention back on (Y/N) and asked,
"So? Tell me the truth."
This made (Y/N) nervous as she asked, "W-what do you mean, Shu?"
"Look, I know you don't oversleep so, it's definitely not the reason you come late to trainings. If something is bothering you, you can talk to me. I'll listen and try my best to help you." Shu elaborated for her.
"I'm fine, really. No need to worry." (Y/N) nervously smiled as she ran out of the room and into the girls' bathroom.
"There she goes again..." Shu sighed as he once again failed to get her to open up.

(In the girl's bathroom)
No one's P.O.V.
"Huh...he says he'll listen but..." (Y/N) sighed looking at herself in the mirror as she continued,
"...how do I tell him that...I'm a half cat? If he knows it...I might ruin our friendship..." The girl sighed again as a pair of cat ears and a tail showed up from under her hair and clothes, respectively.
"Why was I born like this? Why am I a neko girl?" She questioned cursing herself.
"He probably thinks I'm a liar..." The female said to herself before splashing cold water on her face.
Then she walked out of the girls' bathroom thinking of how to not lose control of herself and hide the fact that she's a neko.

Walking back in into the arena, she noticed Shu was still waiting for her. He must've felt her presence there because he instantly turned to look at her with his arms crossed.
(Y/N) nervously walked up to him and asked,
"Y-you're still here?"
"Well, you've missed a lot of sessions so someone needs to get you all caught up, don't you think?" Shu simply replied.
"Oh yeah, right." (Y/N) smiled, rubbing her nape sheepishly.
"Alright, first we're gonna practice launches and then battling strategies. Got it?" Shu asked walking to the opposite side of the bey stadium.
"Yes, sir." (Y/N) said as she also got into her launching stance.
"Ready, set!" They both counted down in unison.

"2"
"1"
"LET IT RIP!!!"
And both the beys landed with full force in the stadium.
"(B/N)! Knock that bey out of the stadium!" (Y/N) yelled out loud.
"Not so fast! Spryzen use Counter Break!" Shu yelled out as Spryzen did what it was told.

(After practicing for 2 hours)
"Good job, (Y/N). You've grown stronger." Shu praised his student as he wiped some sweat off his forehead.
"Thank you, Shu." She smiled as she also wiped her face and sat down on the bench.
"Let's battle again, sometime later, okay?" He offered.
"Sure and next time I'm gonna beat you for sure!" (Y/N) said confidently.
"We'll see." Shu smirked, causing her to blush and maybe...lose control of herself...?
"Yeah sure..." (Y/N) said with a little blush on her face but it faded away as soon as she saw Shu widen his eyes.
"What's wrong?" She asked tilting her head to her side.
"Y-your ears..."
Shu stammered as he shakily pointed above her head. (Y/N) quickly turned to look at herself in the window glass as she also got shocked when she noticed her cat ears above her head.
"S-Shu it's just a headband...yeah just a fancy headband..." She stammered as she turned to look back at Shu and was surprised to see him already close to her.
"I don't think so." He said touching her ears gently, making her shocked at first but then eventually relax at his touch.
"This place is not safe for you. Come with me." He said as he grabbed her hand and dragged her somewhere.
"W-wait..." (Y/N) tried to protest but Shu was already dragging her to only he knew where.

Shu stopped in front of his house/flat door, opened it and pulled (Y/N) in along with him. After he closed the door, he motioned the (h/c) girl to sit on the couch.
(Y/N) quietly did what she was told as Shu took a seat beside her on the same couch.
"Now, tell me everything." He said softly as he gently placed an arm around her shoulder.
"Well..."
(Y/N) took off her jacket revealing her cat tail and brushed down some of her hair, now making her cat ears clearly visible to Shu as he widened his eyes in disbelief.
"...I was born like this..." She admitted with her head held down.
"Is that the reason why you avoided the training sessions? To avoid transforming in public?" Shu questioned as (Y/N) silently nodded.
"But I love beyblading...so yeah...I couldn't even quit..." She said in a voice barely above a whisper.
Shu reached his hand out to touch her ears to which she flinched back.
"Don't worry, I don't intend on hurting you..." Shu gave her a warm smile which made her comfortable. He carefully touched her ears and said, "They're so soft."
He slowly started to give them a little scratching. (Y/N) enjoying it, leaned in closer to him for more.
Shu slightly widened his eyes but then smiled as he continued doing it and earning soft purrs from the cat girl.
"You know, you can stay with me if you want. I would love to have a pet~" He cooed.
(Y/N)'s face turned a bright red as she quickly sat up straight and retorted,
"S-Shut up. I-i'm better off alone!"
Shu smirked moving closer to her as he said,
"But I really want to pet you and..." He started scratching her ears again, making her purr. "...I like to hear this."
(Y/N) quickly shooed his hand away as she got even more flustered, making Shu laugh.
Then he turned serious as he said,
"But jokes aside, I really like you. And now even more knowing that you are a half cat..."
(Y/N) was shocked as she asked him,
"Shu, are you sure? I'm not a full human..."
He didn't answer her, but engulfed her in a big and warm hug of his own as he asked,
"Does that answer your question?"
The (h/c) girl quickly hugged him back and nodded.
"I also really like...no love you, Shu!" She exclaimed happily, making him smile.
"Me too. My little kitten~"
