120. evan rosier's worst possible day

5.2K 230 192
By moonymaia3

EVAN ROSIER WOKE UP just like he did every single day with an annoying smirk on his face and a pair of socks on his feet.

It was going to be just another Saturday in the life of the ever so pretentious boy, who had planned to do pretty much nothing all day long.

But, Claudia Maple had different plans for the boy.

You see, she had spent days ever since the best birthday she could've possibly asked for trying to figure out how to prank Evan in the best possible way.

However, the girl had to admit that maybe one big extravagant prank wasn't really her kind of thing.

Instead, she quite liked the idea of creating the worst possible day ever for the boy.

Call it revenge, or call it a prank. It didn't matter to Claudia, and it certainly didn't matter to the Marauders.

As long as the idiot got to feel some embarrassment for a little while.

Heading into the shower and getting into his regular routine was nothing but the normality of things for Evan. That was until he noticed how his skin was suddenly a lovely bubblegum pink colour.

"What the fuck," he said quietly to himself, wearing a face of confusion as he stole Nicolas' bottle of soap and hoped for it to remove the colour that had spread all over his body.

Evan was displeased to realise that it did not.

Instead, Nicolas' soap only made it all worse considering the pimples that were now forming on his skin - causing him to try out all the other roommates' bottles of soap.

But all his stealing gave him was a furthermore pink skin and plenty more pimples.

Giving up on that and rinsing his skin over and over with water, Evan realised that nothing helped.

So, naturally, the boy found himself cursing a million times over as he put some clothes on that covered his entire body and then walked down the steps in hopes that no one would catch any glimpses of pink or possibly pimples.

As he spotted Mulciber, Wilkes and Avery he walked over to them - completely oblivious to all the funny looks he was getting from fellow students and the grinning two students who were propped up by a table in the corner.

"Whoa," said Wilkes, a clearly shocked expression on his face as Mulciber and Avery immediately bursted out into laughter.

"How blue-tiful!" Mulciber exclaimed.

"This is just too good to be blue!" Avery followed. "I think I might just be head over teals in love with you just by looking at you!"

"What the fuck are you two on about?!" Evan questioned as Wilkes eventually gave in and laughed as well with the other two.

All of them loved Evan's new look of pink skin, abnormal pimples and bright blue hair.

"Nothing," Wilkes laughed. "I've got to say, this is blue much! Absolutely brilliant!"

"Ah, great minds pink alike, Wilkes!" Avery said happily. "An absolute blue come true!"

"Why the fuck are you speaking like this?! Are you three sane in the head?!"

"That's mean!" Mulciber scolded. "He's really revealing his blue colours right now, lads!"

"What?!"

"Hey, goody blue shoes!" Evan suddenly heard someone say from his left, completely interrupting the explanation his friends were about to give to him.

"What do you want, Clarke?" Evan asked in an annoyed tone, rolling his eyes as Nicolas handed him a small mirror.

"Just helping a lad out," Nicolas said, not even trying to hide his amused grin. "Wouldn't want your face and hair to be a teal-breaker to all the ladies now, would I?"

"What?!" Evan yelled, almost hitting himself with the mirror as he finally took a glance in it and...

Screamed like a little baby.

"Have a blue-vely day!" Nicolas laughed, heading towards the entrance before he would get in too much trouble with his brother's best friend.

"Oh, you're dead!" Evan called after him, walking quickly towards the entrance as well, only for Regulus to pop out in front of him with a bottle in his hands.

"Get out of my way, Black!"

"No," Regulus said simply, practically shoving the random bottle in his face.

"What's this rubbish?"

"It helps with the...pink," Regulus said, almost struggling to hold in his laughter. "And with the pimples. Can't help you with the hair, though."

Evan sighed, grabbing the bottle without even thanking the boy, and then heading up the steps.

"What're you still standing there for?" Mulciber asked curiously as Regulus stood still as if he was expecting something.

"Any minute now..."

"What?"

"Three, two, one-"

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

"Ah, there we have it," Regulus grinned as Evan screamed like a baby yet again.

"Why's he screaming like a girl?" Wilkes asked judgementally.

Regulus chuckled, "He's not screaming like a girl. A girl wouldn't scream over something as small as some pink glitter on the face. He's screaming like his true self."

"Is this your doing?" Avery asked with a laugh. "Never took you and Clarke for the pranking types."

"This is not entirely our doing," Regulus said, an almost proud smile etched on his face. "We're just helping someone out."

"Who?"

"It's a secret," Regulus said, and before the amused Slytherin boys could get in another word, he walked out.

The three boys shared funny looks as they also felt strangely proud, considering that Nicolas and Regulus were the two most quiet people they knew and that they now had dared to mess with Evan.

Sure, they were all "friends", but a little mayhem was always entertaining for the three boys no matter what.

Regulus left the common room and found a quiet Claudia standing outside with an equally as quiet Nicolas.

However, as soon as Regulus arrived, the girl sported one of her familiar smiles that he had grown to find so much comfort in.

"Did you do it?"

"I may have," Regulus answered proudly, smiling as Claudia ruffled his hair.

"You are a true saint, Regulus Black," she said, turning for a moment to Nicolas. "You too, Nico."

Nico.

"Thanks for sacrificing your bathroom and your soap," she said with a small smile.

"Anything to give him hell," the boy said quietly, smiling a little back at his stepsister.

"Well, I've got to go!" The girl then said. "Hide all day, alright? This is not your punishment to receive!"

"We did volunteer for this, Claudia," Regulus pointed out.

"Yes, but if I'm going to be the villain I'd quite like the full experience if I need to, thank you," she said.

"Even the punishments?"

"Even the punishments."

•••

"So you're saying that you can't fix my hair?" Evan asked Madam Pomfrey slowly after she had removed all the pimples and glitter and turned his skin back to normal.

"That's exactly what I'm saying, Mr. Rosier."

"Why not?!" Evan sighed. "It's just some bloody magic! Can't you just reverse it?!"

"I could if I had the right potion."

"Isn't there a spell for it?!"

"No," Pomfrey sighed. "There's only a potion."

"Can't you just whip it up right now?!"

"No."

"Why not?!"

"Well, if you'd look around you'd probably see one child with a broken arm, one with a fever and three with food poisoning from making their own food in their dorm," she said, looking around at all the complaining and groaning students. "I've also got one student who was set on fire during the whole cooking situation. So, I really don't think your blue hair is my biggest priority right now."

"So you're telling me that I need to walk around with bloody blue hair all day?!"

"That's exactly what I'm saying. Go eat now before it turns red or something!"

Evan glared at the woman, "You really shouldn't be joking about it. You're an adult. I could easily get you fired."

"If you get me fired you'll need to live with that hair forever," Pomfrey said sternly. "So, I suggest you go eat and come back tomorrow so I can reverse it!"

With nothing but a scoff and a nasty glare, Evan left the Hospital Wing and headed towards the Great Hall to eat dinner - that was after a day of waiting for his skin to return back to normal.

Much for a normal Saturday, the boy thought to himself as he entered the Great Hall.

And, of course, there was nothing but laughter going around as some people caught glances of his hair - all the Ravenclaws looking particularly pleased with the "accidental" house pride on their part.

"You kind of look like a blueberry," said Mary as he walked past.

"Shut up, Johnson."

Mary sighed, "You know what? Forget I ever said that. Blueberries are far more beautiful than you could ever be."

Evan glared at the grinning girl as he sat down next to Mulciber, scooping up some soup for himself without a care in the world.

"You know," Wilkes said from the other side of the table. "It's not that bad."

"Yeah, I think it suits you," Avery offered. "It's very..."

"Blue," Mulciber said as Avery panicked internally. "But really, mate, it's not that bad."

"You're a shit liar, Mulciber," Evan snapped. "It's ugly, okay? I know it is. Just let me eat my goddamn soup in peace."

"Okay," the boys chorused as one of them spotted Claudia sitting at the Ravenclaw table.

"You know?" Avery said.

"I thought I told you to-"

"I think Maple digs it."

"Maple what?" Mulciber snorted, earning himself a slap on the arm from Evan, who had turned around to look at the girl who was smiling at him.

He didn't realise then that she wasn't smiling because she thought he was fit, but because she had succeeded.

"I mean, it looks like she does," Avery continued. "She doesn't normally look at you like that."

"What does she normally look at him like?"

"As if he took a big fat shit on her pancakes," Avery said, receiving disgusted looks from all his friends.

"That's disgusting!"

"You are disgusting, Mulciber," Avery sighed. "I'm just trying to tell Rosier over here that Maple is clearly showing some sort of interest in him right now!"

"I don't think so," Wilkes said. "She's looking at Lupin now."

Claudia was indeed looking at Remus, who was giving her a questioning look as he wondered if Evan's blue hair was her doing.

"Oi! Nice hair, Rosier!" Sirius yelled from the Gryffindor table.

"Ignore him," Wilkes urged, causing Evan to nod as the entire hall stared at his hair - some actually doing it out of admiration because, let's face it, blue hair was fucking cool.

However, most people knew that there was no way Evan Rosier voluntarily had dyed it blue, which only caused laughter and humorous comments to come from most students.

And Evan hated that he suddenly wasn't feared or seen as "cool" in people's eyes.

Not that he ever really was, however.

So, the boy found himself in a position which Claudia had been in many times before - focusing on trying to eat so that the outside world wouldn't crush him.

If only he would've payed enough attention to what was in his soup.

Because, as he took a big spoon of soup and prepared to swallow it, something moved in his mouth.

"Are you alright?" A random Slytherin girl asked him as he suddenly seemed to be choking on air.

She didn't get an answer. Instead, she got a frog on her face as Evan spat out a few alive frogs that had been relaxing in his soup.

After a proper scolding from the girl, a few screams from people who had to face the frogs running around in their dinners, and a long time during which Evan just sat there like an idiot as most people left to their dorms and common rooms, Evan spotted Claudia standing by one of doors of the hall, waving him over with a smile.

So, naturally, he followed her, expecting some sort of magical moment of Claudia finally deciding that he could have her and that she could be his wife and carry his children.

"Liking the hair, sunshine?" He asked with a grin as he finally found her a little further away from the Great Hall.

"It's...very nice," she said in a sweet tone, smiling at him. "You know, I feel like this is a story we'll tell the kids."

"Oh?"

"Mhm," she nodded, dying inside. "How you once impressed everyone with your beautiful blue hair. Actually, this just got me thinking."

"Yeah?"

"How about I take a photo of you?" She asked, winking at him as she brought out Remus' camera from her bag. "That way we can remember this forever."

And by we, Claudia was definitely not thinking about her and Evan.

"Sure thing," he smiled. "Where do you want me?"

Claudia grinned out of pure triumph, leading him towards a specific spot, "Right here."

Evan ran a hand through his blue hair, standing tally and preparing himself for the photo.

"Alright! Say goblin piss!"

"Goblin-"

And then, of course, Claudia just had to go for the big finale as Evan got drenched from head to toe in pumpkin juice that smelt rather...pitiful.

And, of course, a group of boys bursted into laughter as Claudia took a photo of Evan and winked at him one last time as he stood in shock.

"Good night, sunshine," she said, taking Remus' hand and grinning at the four boys.

"And there's our fifth Marauder!" Remus exclaimed as they began walking down the hallway, leaving behind the baffled boy.

James and Sirius shared a look that read "not quite yet" but they nodded nonetheless.

"You know, that was a very different approach to pranking you just took," James said. "We normally just do one and that's it."

"Then maybe you've got some development to do," Claudia grinned as they suddenly heard loud voices.

"It was them!" Evan yelled from down the hall, causing them all to turn around and spot Filch running up after them.

"Shit!"

Taking a firmer grip on her hand, Remus dragged Claudia along, and somehow got separated with the others as they ran one way and the rest another.

"Stop right there!" Filch yelled after them, clearly out of breath as he followed the pair.

"What the hell do we do?!" Claudia questioned.

"Come on!" Remus yelled, suddenly dragging her a completely different way and then ending up with her in front of a door that only ever was there in time of crisis.

So, wasting no time whatsoever, the two ran inside the Room of Requirement, shut the door and bursted out into laughter.

"That was so fun!" Claudia exclaimed through her laughter.

"Merlin, you were so scared!" Remus laughed, causing her to shove him slightly.

"Was not!"

"Was too!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"Oh, shut up!" Claudia yelled, clearly not even needing to say anything like that as Remus suddenly went quiet. "What is it?"

"Was that bed always there?"

Claudia frowned, turning her head only to spot a perfectly made bed in the middle of the otherwise empty room.

"No idea," she whispered. "Bet even the Room of Requirement has ideas."

Remus chuckled slightly, "You know, it is the Room of Requirement."

"Mhm."

"And I do think that kissing you might be a requirement of mine," he continued.

"If you so require," Claudia whispered, meeting his soft lips in a kiss and slowly finding herself walking towards the bed with him as they continued.

Sitting herself down on the comfortable bed and continuing to kiss him, Claudia felt both nervous and comfortable.

And she wouldn't have had it any other way.

"Have you...you know, done it?" She asked against his lips as she broke the kiss.

He pecked her lips softly again, "No. I thought you already knew this?"

"I did," she said, leaning her forehead against his. "Just wasn't sure."

"And you haven't either?"

"No," she shook her head. "Of course not."

"Of course not? What do you mean?"

"Dunno," she said nervously. "I just...haven't had anything like this before."

"Nothing?"

"Nothing."

"So I was..."

"You were my first kiss, yes," she confessed in a whisper, causing him to smile like an idiot as he leaned his head back. "Don't make fun of me, please!"

"No, no, no! I'm not making fun of you! Why would I do that?!"

"I dunno..."

"Claudia, I would never ever make fun of you," he said. "I'm just happy is all."

"Happy?"

"To be yours, yes," he said, leaning his forehead against hers again. "It's an honour to have been your first kiss, Claudia Maple."

And, before he could kiss her again, Claudia giggled slightly. "Well, technically you weren't my first kiss. You were just the first boy I-"

"Shut up," he whispered, kissing her again and doing so in a way that made her weak in the knees as they both ended up on the bed.

And what happened next?

Well, to put it plainly, it really was Evan Rosier's worst possible day.
