Over the weekend, Asahi asked Haruto to help him buy a car.
"Why are you buying a car again?" Haruto asked. "You know you can just use mine, or Mashihos, or Yoshi's."
"I want to have my own car so I can take Jaehyuk out whenever I want," Asahi explained.
"You're really serious about him huh."
Asahi rolled his eyes, "I already told you my plan."
"I know. But I'm still having a hard time wrapping my head around it."
There was a moment of silence. Asahi looked seriously at his bestfriend. "Have you thought about what I said that time?"
"I have." Haruto nodded. "But my situation is different than yours. It's not as simple as retiring."
"I'm the only male heir to the throne. All of Japan will be involved if I try to relinquish my title." Haruto gave out an exhausted sigh. "Heck, I don't even think the government will let me if I wanted to."
Asahi nodded in acknowledgement. He knows it will be hard for Haruto. As the only heir to the throne, relinquishing his title is equivalent to abolishing the monarchy. It will be a political struggle should he decide to do so.
