Editing is so boring
Sweet Pea POV:
I clenched my fists as I watched the girl I had fallen in love with hug another man. He kissed her head as they looked to each other with smiles. Worst of all, the guy was Joaquin, someone I considered one of my best friends.
"Let's go" I said to Fangs. He gave me a confused look.
"Why? You haven't told me about the girl you've been seeing yet" he asked and I rolled my eyes.
"I've told you we're going so we are" I told him sternly.
"Drop the fucking attitude" he warned me. I rolled my eyes as I let out a huff.
"Tell me what's wrong Sweet Pea" he asked me sternly.
"The girl I like is here" I said and he gave me a confused look.
"And you were an asshole to me because she's here?" He questioned me.
"No, because she's with stupid Joaquin" I said and he turned around to face him.
"Are you stupid? Don't look" I told him and he looked to me like I was stupid.
"You're the stupid one" he told me and I rolled my eyes with a sigh.
"Stop being cryptic and tell me what you're thinking" I told him.
"Well firstly the girl is Betty" he started and I furrowed my eyebrows.
"How did you know that?" I asked him.
"Let me finish Sweet Pea. That's Betty, his little sister, step sister, his legitimate pride and joy. Wow, you really have selective hearing" he chuckled out.
"Sister?" I said, ignoring everything else he said.
"Yes and before your big headed brain decides to stroll over there and talk to either of them, don't" he said.
"Why not? I'm sure he already knows her and I are a thing" I said and he chuckled.
"You didn't tell your best friend you're in love, she's not telling her brother that she's dating you. You guys are keeping this a secret for the benefits of each other. You tell him you're with her, she's going to hate you. Plus, I live with the guy, I know more about him than anyone should know" he chuckled out.
"We said we were going to start telling people" I told him.
"Okay, but don't you think Betty will want to tell her brother, not her boyfriend" he said and his point did make sense.
"Fine, I won't say anything" I said and he smiled.
"Now, tell me everything you know so I can fill in the blanks" he said excitedly. I gave him a confused look as he chuckled.
"Betty has told me practically everything. She's like my little sister too, plus she wants my opinion on when to tell him. You see, I know everything Sweets, need to make sure my boy stays in line" he said making me smirk.
"You're amazing" I chuckled out and he smirked proudly.
"I know, but hearing you say it make's time stand still" he said and I chuckled as I shook my head.
"I hate you" I said and he smirked.
"You're utterly in love with me" he told me and I scoffed.
"The only person I love is Betty" I said and he smirked.
"Trust me, if I asked Betty she'd tell you we're in a bromance" he said and I rolled my eyes.
"If anything we're brothers, but not fucking lovers" I said and he chuckled.
"Oh don't worry, I don't want to fuck you" he said with a look of disgust on his face.
"If anyone is doing the fucking, I am" I said and he chuckled.
"I don't want your small dick anywhere near me" he said and I looked to him in shock.
"My cock is the biggest you'll ever have" I told him.
"Yet I don't want it" he said with a smirk.
"You're just too scared to take me. You couldn't handle it" I said as I leaned over and took food from his plate.
"Like I said babe, I fuck, I don't get fucked" he said.
"How the fuck did we get here, you're bi, I'm straight and we're both in relationships" I said and we laughed.
We continued the rest of dinner and got back to talking about Serpents, transferring to Riverdale High next week and whatever the hell else we wanted too.
As it got late, both Joaquin and Betty approached our table. Betty looked at me with a smile and I gave her a quick one back.
"You guys should of joined us" Joaquin told us.
"We would have but you know I'm still training Sweet Pea on table manners" Fangs said and I rolled my eyes.
"You treat me like I'm a dog" I said to him and he smiled.
"Who's a smart boy?" Fangs said in the tone you'd talk to a dog.
Betty chuckled at the two of us as she turned her attention to Fangs.
"Fangsy you're horrible" she told him.
"Betty, he's stupid. He needs my help, I need to do what is best for my growing boy" he said making her laugh.
"Joaquin, stop him" I said and Joaquin chuckled as he shook his head.
"Your dumbass needs to be watched over. But besides from that, I just wanted to check if it's okay that she spends the night" Joaquin asked Fangs.
"If she eats all the bloody snacks again, I'm throwing a punch" he joked and Betty smirked.
"For that comment I'm eating everything, even your secret stash" she said and his jaw dropped in shock.
"Kevin told you, didn't he?" He smirked and she grinned.
"Tells me everything Fangsy" she smiled.
Her smile could light up a room, she looked so stunning. I seriously wanted nothing more than to get up and give her a tight hug. I wanted to place a kiss on her gorgeous glossed lips. But for now I had to stay seated.
"Come on, don't bully Fangs, Betts" Joaquin chuckled as he looked down at her.
"He started it J, I'm just standing up for myself" she said with an innocent pout.
"Of course you are" he smiled as he looked down at her.
"Suck up" Fangs mumbled.
"We're going home" he chuckled and we all said our goodbyes.
I wish Betty and I were friends before we ever met each other. That way I'd actually be able to talk to her when we're around others.
We soon both decided to call it a night and I headed back to my house. I got into bed and pulled my phone out of my pocket.
"Hey Bub" I typed and then sent to Betty. I was about to turn off my phone but Betty messaged me back instantly. "Hey bubba, it was good seeing you earlier" she said making me smile. "You know, I wanted nothing more than to hold you tight" I said to her. "I know, I wanted that too" she said which made this warm feeling fill up in my chest.
"I really don't mean to pressure you Betts, but I don't want to keep us from your brother" I typed and contemplated whether to send it or not.
I didn't want her to feel like I was pressuring her, but on the other hand, I kinda am. I really want everyone to know that we're together. I want to show her off as mine.
"I know Pea and I'm going to talk to him tonight. I promise everyone will know we're together by tomorrow" she texted. "Thank you Betts, that really means a lot to me" I texted her. I am going to give her the tightest hug and the most kisses tomorrow.
"I'm not just doing this for you. I'm doing this for me, us. I'm doing it because I also hate not telling Joaquin. I want him to know" she texted. "Honestly, I didn't even know you two were related until tonight" I chuckled as I typed it.
I've known Joaquin for about five years and I knew he had a sister, but I never asked her name or what she looked like. All I knew about her is that she's related to Joaquin through their dad, Hal. Hal was more present in Betty's life but he was a terrible dad. Betty's mother is Alice and she is the biggest anti-South Sider known to man. So Betty barely gets to see Joaquin, which I know upsets both of them.
"How? Literally everyone knows we're related" she texted making me chuckle.
"Fangs says I have selective hearing" I sent. "Oh trust me, I know" she messaged and I rolled my eyes playfully. "Anyway, I'm about to talk to J, I'll text you later" she said. "Talk to you later babe, kick his ass" I texted with a smile.
I honestly don't know how he's going to react. On the one hand I'm sure he won't be impressed that I'm dating his sister. On the other though, he knows I'll look after her.
Betty POV:
"Night Fangs" I smiled as he headed to his room.
I turned to my brother and looked at him with a smile. He raised an eyebrow at me.
"What's on your mind?" He asked me.
"I have something I really want to tell you" I smiled widely. I just couldn't get rid of the smile on my face.
"Well it seems like good news so I'm eager to hear" he smiled.
I moved myself into his side and he wrapped his arm over my shoulders.
"Before I say anything, I want you to know that what I'm about to tell you, it's made me nearly as happy as when I found out you were my brother" I said and he smiled.
"Whatever it is, you sound so happy which I'm obviously going to support" he assured me.
"I have a boyfriend" I said and he scrunched up his face.
"Ew" he said making me chuckle.
"How the hell did you get a boyfriend before I did?" He said making me laugh.
"I'm just hotter" I smiled. He raised an eyebrow.
"What loser is dating my sister?" He asked me.
"He's a really great guy. He makes me really happy and he is nothing but perfect for me" I told him as the smile on my face only got bigger.
"Name please Betts" he told me and I sighed.
"Sweet Pea" I said and his face kinda dropped.
"I um" he stuttered out.
"Don't be mad at us" I frowned as I looked into his eyes.
"How long? Why didn't either of you tell me?" He asked.
"We've been together for a bit over two months. Neither Sweet Pea or I told anyone. It was to protect myself, from Alice, and I just wanted us to be together without pressure from anyone else. And honestly, Sweet Pea didn't know we were related until today" I said and he gave me a confused look.
"How couldn't he know?" He asked me.
"Maybe you don't talk about me enough" I said as I raised an eyebrow and crossed my arms.
"You're not turning on me, you're dating one of my best friends" he said making me chuckle.
"Please tell me you're okay with him and I" I asked him with a worried look.
"I'm worried" he said and I frowned.
"He's Serpent King, he's reckless and sometimes he doesn't listen. He's my friend and I love him, but he's not exactly someone I want you dating" he said making me frown.
"Betts I'm not trying to upset you. I just know him a lot better than you do and I worry about my sister a lot" he said.
"I know I've only known him for two months but he has seriously been nothing but sweet and considerate to me. He hasn't hurt me and he's not going to" I said and he looked down to me, still, concern on his face.
"Your relationship with him has been short, he hasn't been able to show you his true colours. He's the king, that alone puts you in danger and him as a person, he's not all sugar and sweet" he told me.
"So in other words, you're not going to support me and Sweet Pea?" I asked as I felt tears prick my eyes.
"I'm sorry Betts, I love you more than anything but I really don't think dating him is the best thing" he told me.
I knew Joaquin was going to be a little apprehensive or maybe a little over protective, but not outright telling me he doesn't support us.
I got up and began walking out of the lounge. I didn't want to talk to him anymore.
"Betts let's talk about this" he said.
"I'm tired, I'm going to bed" I said as I walked out of the lounge and down the hallway.
I saw that Fangs' door was slightly open and I saw a tv light lighting up his room. I knocked on his door and invited myself in.
I walked in and he looked to me, a frown forming on his face as tears rolled down my face.
"Come here hun" he told me softly as he sat up.
I walked over to him and took a seat next to him. He wrapped his arms around me and I did the same.
"Joaquin" I started but I just sobbed even more.
"Betts, I'm sorry" he told me as he held me tighter.
He whispered sweet nothings as he rubbed my back and tried to get me to calm down.
Just as I had calmed down, Joaquin looked down to me with a sorry look.
"Joaquin, she's mine tonight" Fangs said to my brother, hinting to him to leave.
"Betty I love you more than anything" Joaquin told me as he kissed my head.
I said nothing which caused him to let out a sigh and leave the room.
"I guess it's my job to act as your big brother right now" Fangs smiled as he pulled up his blankets and wrapped them around me.
"Do you feel the same as J?" I asked him.
"No, I don't at all. Sweets is my brother, I love him more than anything. I know he's not the best person in the world, but I can promise you that he would never let a single thing happen to you. I've never seen him as happy as when he's been with you. He loves you" he said making me smile.
"Thank you Fangs" I told him seriously.
"I'm always going to be here for you" he told me as he gave me a soft smile.
"Go to bed Betts, get some rest" he told me and I nodded my head.
"Can you talk to" I started but he interrupted me with a smile.
"Joaquin? Already planned on it" he said making me smile gratefully.
"You're the best" I smiled and he smiled cockily.
"Tell me about it" he said and I chuckled as I shook my head.
"Good night Fangs" I smiled as I got up.
"Good night Betty" he told me.

Sweet Pea POV:
It was the middle of the night when I heard a knock on my door. I picked up my gun from my bed side table and walked to the door. I placed it on my side and then opened the door, revealing my girlfriend.
"Jeez babe, what are you doing here so late?" I asked as I let out a breath.
I stood to the side as I watched her walk in. I pulled the gun from out of my side and placed it on the bench besides the doorway.
"I wanted to sleep here with you tonight" she said as she turned to face me.
Judging by the way she's acting and coming here during the middle of the night, it's more than just wanting to see me.
"It didn't go well with Joaquin, did it?" I asked her. She let out a sigh as she shook her head.
"I'm really sorry Betty" I said as I opened up my arms for her.
She pushed herself into my arms and I wrapped mine around her. I let out a sigh as I kissed her head.
"This isn't fair Sweet Pea" she said into my chest.
"Look Betts, it's late and you're upset. We'll talk about this in the morning. Is that okay?" I asked her.
She looked up to me with a sad expression as she nodded her head.
"We'll be okay Princess" I said as I caressed her cheek.
I unwrapped my arms from around her and pulled my hand into hers. She gave me a small smile as I lead her to my room.
We both got into bed and she made herself comfortable in my arms.
I dropped a kiss onto her shoulder and held her tighter to my chest.
"Promise you'll always be with me?" She asked.
"Betty if you're asking if I love you, I do. Since the moment I saw you" I said and she turned her head to face me, a shocked look on her face.
"I'm not expecting you to say it back because I know it's really early" I chuckled as I pushed some hair behind her ear.
"But you're my everything. You're it for me" I told her.
"You're it for me too" she smiled as she pressed a kiss to my lips.
"I'll sort everything out with Joaquin, Betts, I promise" I told her.
"You better" she whispered, sounding exhausted. I smiled.

I slipped out of bed and left my sleeping beauty to rest.
I walked into the kitchen and began making breakfast for Betty and I.
I was half way through making the eggs when I heard furious knocking on my door. I turned the stove down to low and walked to the door.
I opened the door revealing Joaquin and he looked like he was going to kill me.
"Don't you answer your fucking phone?" He told me furiously as he walked into my house.
"Of course Joaquin, invite yourself in" I told him as I closed the door behind him.
"Is she here?" He asked me as he rolled his eyes.
"Indeed, and I'd appreciate if you were quite, sleeping beauty needs her rest" I chuckled as I walked into the kitchen.
I took the eggs off of the stove and made two plates of food.
"Hope you don't mind, I didn't expect visitors" I smirked.
"Don't fuck with me Sweet Pea" he warned me sternly.
I rolled my eyes as I leant against the bench and crossed my arms. I looked to him and raised an eyebrow.
"You say you care about your sister yet she came to my house, really fucking upset because of you" I spoke first.
"Are you trying to start a fight Sweet Pea because I will make sure you and her are over by the end of the day" he told me angrily. I let out a sigh.
"Joaquin, I don't want to fight. I want to keep Betty happy, and that means working out why you all of a sudden hate me" I said.
Honestly, I had no idea what happened between us, seemingly over night. We're great friends. So for him to not support me while I'm going to give Betty everything I have, it makes no sense.
"Sweet Pea let's start with the two most obvious things, you're Serpent King and you have anger issues" he told me.
I gave him a slightly annoyed look because he had no right to use my issues against me.
"I take medication for that and you know it" I told him.
"Yes but still Sweet Pea, you have your outbursts. When shit hits the fan with the Serpents, you don't react well" he told me.
"Yeah but I've never hurt anyone" I said to him.
"What about verbally?" He said.
"Just like the way I have never once taken my shit out on you, I'll never do it to her" I told him.
"You're going to be in a relationship with her, you're going to spend a significantly more amount of time with her than you do with Fangs or I" he started but I interrupted.
"I'm sure her and I are going to fight about things, but neither one of us are going to do it to harm one another. I love her Joaquin, I'm not going to do anything to hurt her. And as far as the Serpents and my role, I will protect her and do whatever she needs of me" I told him seriously.
"Promise me you'll never hurt her" he asked me, pleaded with me.
"Joaquin, I promise I'll never hurt her" I told him.
"I love her and I'm not going to let anything happen to her" he told me and I nodded my head.
"I love her too, she doesn't just have you looking after her now, she has me" I told him with a small smile.
"And Fangs, kid has weaseled himself into my sisters life" he smirked making me chuckle.
"He has a way of doing what he wants" I smirked and he nodded his head with a grin.
"He sure does" He chuckled as he leaned next to me against the bench, taking a piece of bacon off of a plate.
"That's coming out of Betty's plate, not mine" I said and he chuckled as he picked up her plate and a fork and knife.
He took a seat at the table and began eating. I rolled my eyes playfully as I picked up my plate and fork and knife. I sat opposite him as he picked up another piece of bacon, looking at me with a smirk.
"She hates bacon" he smirked and I raised an eyebrow out of shock.
"Really? Who doesn't like bacon?" I said.
"You guys become best friends over night and now you're talking shit about me?" Betty smirked as she took a seat by my side.
"What else is a brother for?" He smirked as he pushed the plate to Betty. He got up and got her a fork and knife.
"You need to tell him how perfect I am" Betty smiled.
"He already knows that" Joaquin said as he took a seat back opposite us.
"So you're okay with Sweet Pea and I?" She asked her brother.
"Yes" I watched as the biggest smile formed on her face, making me smile.
I wrapped my arm over her shoulders and kissed her head. Seeing her so happy makes me happy.
"So, how are going to spend Christmas, yours or mine?" I smirked, making the two laugh.
