Taehyung watched solemnly as Jungkook boarded his flight for his business trip. Neither one of them had had a chance to sleep after their tryst and Taehyung felt miserable that Jungkook had gone sleepless for a second night in a row. Taehyung prayed silently that Jungkook would at least catch a power nap during his flight so that he wouldn't be exhausted during his business meeting. Once Jungkook's flight had departed, Taehyung turned on his heel and walked back towards his vehicle to head back home.
Taehyung walked inside the house with heavy steps, feeling the fatigue wearing on him more and more. He tossed his coat onto the armrest of the davenport before flopping down face first into the plush fabric. Before he could pick himself back up to lock the front door and take his shoes off, Taehyung's eyes slid shut and he drifted off to sleep without even realizing it.
Annalise, Ezra, and Gabriel glanced over the open banister that allowed them to peer out over the living room, watching Taehyung trudge to the couch before passing out. Annalise glanced over towards Ezra with a worried knit to her brow. "Is daddy sick again?" Annalise asked softly, worried for their father's health. She'd only seen him collapse a few times before Jimin would swoop in and reassure them that Taehyung only needed to rest. Ezra moved to walk towards the spiraled staircase before Gabriel pressed a finger against his shoulder causing the younger to raise his eyebrow in question. "We should let him sleep. That's what's best for him, right?" Gabriel asked as Ezra glanced back at Annalise before they both nodded their agreement. "Okay then, we'll just do our work like good kids and allow daddy to sleep. We can always wake Jimin up if we need anything," Gabriel affirmed blithely, lowering his finger from Ezra's shoulder.
Again, Ezra and Annalise shared a look of skepticism before they both hesitantly nodded. All of the children headed back towards their rooms with that last nod of affirmation. Once all their doors had been closed, Gabriel opened his door once more and peeked his head back out. Gabriel glanced down the hallway to ensure neither Annalise's nor Ezra's doors were open before walking back over towards the banister, where he watched Taehyung sleep for several more minutes.

Jungkook yawned softly and stretched his back as he stepped out of the boarding hall, his eyes heavy with sleep. He had tried to sleep on the plane to no avail and now, he felt miserable from the motion sickness on top of everything. Now, he'd just have to attend this business meeting with no sleep and hope that he didn't fall asleep during this meeting. The two companies would be discussing merging so the other wouldn't have to declare bankruptcy. All Jungkook had to do was discuss pricing to buy out their company and the hiring of this company's employees. Jungkook could already feel the fatigue on his shoulders as he plodded forward, gripping his suitcase handle tightly. He wondered how Taehyung had been affected by this sleepless night and if he should call him to check up on him.
This prompted Jungkook to check his phone, pulling it completely out of his coat's pocket to dial Taehyung's number. It rang several times before the answering machine picked it up for Taehyung and with a heavy heart, Jungkook relayed the message that he'd arrived safely and for Taehyung to call him back as soon as he received this message. With his call out of the way, Jungkook continued towards the chauffeur that awaited him at the bottom of the escalator that would take him to his hotel room.
Jungkook dropped off his personal possessions before returning towards the limousine in front of his hotel, tapping the driver and instructing him on where they needed to go. It was a long ride to the building on the outskirts of town, but even still, Jungkook couldn't sleep. This time, it was due to the anxiety of not knowing what was going on with Taehyung. Especially since Jungkook would be in this city for three or four days working with discussions. He just hoped that Taehyung would get back to him soon and inform him that everything was alright and that Jungkook was worrying over nothing. Although, Jungkook couldn't get over the perception that there really was something to be concerned about.
After an hour drive, Jungkook finally stepped out in front of the building he was planning on obtaining and straightened himself up. He brushed his hands down over his suit jacket, straightened out his tie, and cleared his throat before walking into the building. The secretary directed him towards the meeting room and announced his arrival before leaving him to the introductions. Jungkook sighed softly as he stepped over towards the director that instructed Jungkook to sit next to him. Jungkook placed his briefcase on the floor by his feet and so began their discussion.

After watching Taehyung sleep for almost an hour, Gabriel walked down the spiral staircase and stopped at the landing. His hand still rested on the marble rail of the staircase as he hesitated in his thoughts. Although, Gabriel didn't hesitate for long because he'd always admired Taehyung's beauty from afar. Especially since his biological father loved Taehyung so extensively. Gabriel hated the thought that Taehyung loved Jungkook back with as much passion and tenderness as Jungkook offered. Gabriel had watched their interactions, watched the way Jungkook would kiss Taehyung, caress him, hug him, and even seduce him. Gabriel was also aware that Annalise and Ezra were wary of him being anywhere near Taehyung after the last occurrence where Jungkook forced Gabriel to go to work with him.
Gabriel hesitated once more when he heard a soft whimper from Taehyung, but continued toward him when Taehyung didn't budge from his spot on the sofa. Gabriel hastily made his way over towards Taehyung, throwing a blanket over him and walking into the kitchen to grab a drink. Gabriel realized he needed to cool himself down when he thought of flipping Taehyung over and crawling under the covers with him. After all, Taehyung may not have been his biological father, but he still raised him, and that had to count for something.
Gabriel took several large gulps of ice cold water as he stood in the kitchen, glancing over both islands incessantly just to see Taehyung's peacefully sleeping face. Although, Gabriel would much rather see a different expression on Taehyung's face. With that thought alone driving Gabriel's actions, Gabriel hastily approached the couch once more. He stared intently down at Taehyung before leaning over and rolling Taehyung onto his back. With the sofa open on either side of Taehyung, his arm rolled off the side of the couch as Gabriel fought the urge to kiss Taehyung once more. He still remembered Taehyung's expression vividly and Jungkook's words just as vividly. Although, none of that was going to stop him from what he wanted now.
Gabriel placed the cup of water down on the glass coffee table before scooping Taehyung's torso up into his arms. Gabriel lifted Taehyung's head off the sofa and noticed Taehyung's eyes flutter, but remain closed as Gabriel breathed a sigh of relief. His breath brushed across Taehyung's skin and caused an unexpected reaction. Gabriel watched as the goosebumps from that spot faded before placing a tender kiss on the same area. Once again goosebumps spread across Taehyung's neck and Gabriel's eyes twinkled with mischief as he shuffled Taehyung further up the sofa where the couch did have a back. Gabriel did this so that if anyone did come out to check on Taehyung, they wouldn't see Gabriel unless they came down the stairs.
Gabriel straddled Taehyung's lithe and fragile body, caressing Taehyung's jaw as the elder slept peacefully beneath him. Once again, Gabriel kissed Taehyung's neck and watched the elder shift slightly under him. Although, Taehyung still hadn't been woken up by these actions yet. Taehyung inquired recklessly, hastily scurrying away from Gabriel's looming figure.
"I may not be your biological father but this is still wrong and you know it," Taehyung cried loudly, hoping someone would come to help him. Jimin had stayed over from the night before anyway and Taehyung was wondering why he wasn't awake yet. Gabriel remained motionless as he watched Taehyung grasp the front of his shirt by his chest, still struggling desperately. "C- call J- Jimin," Taehyung choked out breathlessly, his voice barely audible as his vision began to fade in and out. Gabriel could discern that something was awfully wrong as he dropped to his hands and knees next to Taehyung, the elder arching his back to take in deeper breaths. Although, it didn't seem to be working as Taehyung appeared to proceed to struggle. Gabriel hastily stood to his feet once more but before Gabriel could turn towards the stairs and run to wake Jimin up, Gabriel was roughly shoved out of the way by Jimin. "Tae! What the fuck are you standing there for?! Call a god damn ambulance," Jimin cried loudly, hastily handing Taehyung his inhaler.
Even after a few puffs from his inhaler, Taehyung still appeared to be struggling to breathe. Taehyung wasn't even aware Jimin was already in the room with him, his vision fading out drastically and in his desperation, Taehyung scrambled to his feet to try and seek help. Although, Taehyung only got a few steps before his body rigorously seized up, his eyes rolling back into his head as Gabriel caught Taehyung. Jimin hastily grabbed Taehyung's cell phone and dialed the emergency response team. Jimin rapidly explained everything to the operator, hoping the ambulance would make it in time.
Jimin dropped to his knees to attempt to soothe Taehyung out of his seizure, Gabriel prying Taehyung's mouth open to hold his tongue in place. After several moments of Jimin talking to him calmly and stroking his hair, Taehyung's body slowly mellowed out once more. Taehyung's body twitched a few more times from the aftershock as his breathing remained labored. Jimin bit his lip as he watched Taehyung continue to strain in breathing, sending his body into another successive seizure. Jimin instantaneously grasped the sides of Taehyung's head to hold him steady, begging him to come out of this spell. Jimin hadn't realized that tears had started to fall from his eyes as he implored desperately for Taehyung to calm down enough to save his brain. Taehyung's muscles finally relaxed at Jimin's desperation, his eyes remaining closed and his breathing persisting in the same manner.
Jimin proceeded to hold the sides of Taehyung's head out of fear of Taehyung's brain rattling around too much. They could hear the siren's wailing in the distance and Jimin sighed with relief, brushing Taehyung's sweat matted hair off his face. "We'll get you help, Tae. Just stay with me, okay?" Jimin coaxed softly, still grasping the sides of Taehyung's head. Jimin was just about to release Taehyung's face when his body seized for a third successive time, frazzling an already panicked Jimin even further. "Please!" Jimin cried loudly, desperately calling out to Taehyung once more. Jimin didn't know what had caused Taehyung to spiral out of control like this, but he knew it must have been disastrous as he massaged his thumbs softly against Taehyung's temples. Jimin was hoping this would help soothe Taehyung as Gabriel yelled for Annalise to get the door for the emergency responders.
