Ram closed the book she was reading and yawned heavily. She laid the book down on the floor. Ram was trying to save as much energy as possible. So each step was like gold to her
"Alright Lady Beatrice, I think it's time I went to the kitchen and prepare breakfast" Ram said standing up from the chair she was sitting in. Ram was so exhausted she could barely stand up straight. Her posture reassembled a scarecrow
"I think you should lay down I suppose. You look like a dead corpse" Beatrice said, not taking her eyes off the book she was reading. Ram rubbed her eyes and yawned again
"I have a job to do as a maid, and that is to serve my master" Ram said tiredly. She began trotting slowly to the door
Ram felt like she was running a marathon by just walking to the door. Each step felt like there were weights tied to them. Ram felt her eyelids grow even heavier than they already were. She felt herself slowly dozing off.
Her vision grew increasingly dark and blurry. Ram tried to snap out of it, but she couldn't. Ram couldn't even yawn anymore. The simplest of actions was too much energy for her to spare. Ram eventually drained her reserves fully. There was absolutely zero energy left in her body. Ram shut down, collapsing onto the floor, falling into a deep sleep. Beatrice looked up upon hearing the loud and sudden thud on the floor
Beatrice sighed when she saw Ram passed out on the floor. She could hear Ram snoring quite loudly "That's what staying up for four nights in a row does to you. I might as well send her over now" she thought to herself. Beatrice wanted Ram out of the forbidden library. For the past two weeks Ram has refused to leave the library, except to do house work for Rosswal. Sure Beatrice could drag her out by force, but Ram always found a way to come back. Beatrice eventually grew tired of fighting her, and let her stay in the corner of the forbidden library
Beatrice walked up to Ram, and rolled her over onto her back. Beatrice saw drool all over the floor coming from Ram's mouth. She laid her hand on Ram's forehead, and began the spell. A small orb of bright light appeared from thin air. The light proceeded to grow brighter
It grew so bright Beatrice felt she was staring into the sun. Eventually a small beam shot down onto Ram, fully engulfing her.
Beatrice was sweating profusely as the temperature in the forbidden library started to heat up. It got so hot that all the books in the forbidden library risked catching on fire. Beatrice felt like her hand that laid on Rams forehead was going to be burnt off completely. She pushed past the pain, and kept her full concentration on the spell. One slight slip up and Ram could be sent anywhere but Japan
Eventually the light started to fade. Beatrice saw Ram's body disappear entirely. Being replaced by thin air. The temperature started to drop down back to normal
The light finally vanished along with the orb. Beatrice wiped the sweat off of her forehead, and rubbed her eyes
In Japan
"So chef Rem what are we having for breakfast?" Kenichi asked as he sat down at the table. Rem smiled at being addressed as "chef Rem"
"Today I was thinking about making pancakes" Rem said as she checked the pantry for the pancake batter
While Subarus' parents were away, pancakes were a common thing Rem would make for breakfast. Obviously with the help of Subaru. When Subaru first showed Rem around the kitchen, Rem was fascinated with all the appliances like the toaster, fridge, oven, and microwave
It soon became sort of a tradition, that every morning before writing and reading lessons Rem would make them a pancake breakfast to start their day
"I like the sound of that, I sure can't wait because I am starving" Kenichi said
Naoko was in the kitchen getting her third cup of coffee, she was tired after being kept up late to the sounds of Rem and Subarus love session
Naoko grabbed her mug from the coffee maker, and made her way back to the table to talk with Kenichi. She looked at the living room couch and noticed a pink haired girl in a maid uniform who looked almost identical to Rem was fast asleep on it
Naoko froze and dropped her coffee mug. The mug crashed to the floor, exploding into pieces. Coffee and glass flew everywhere. Naoko stared at the sleeping maid in utter disbelief. She didn't understand how she even got there
Rem heard the mug crash to the floor, and walked out of the pantry
"Miss Naoko is everything ok I he-" Rem froze when she saw her sister asleep on the couch. She couldn't believe it. She finally saw Ram again in person. Rem also didn't understand how Ram even got there, but she wasn't thinking about that
Kenichi was at the table also staring at Ram in shock. He didn't have any words to say, he was not expecting this to start off his morning
Subaru walked out of the bathroom he looked over and saw his parents and Rems' frozen reactions. He walked over, confused at what they were all staring at. His sight fell upon Ram. Subaru immediately froze dead in his tracks
"Nee-Sama?" Rem called out quietly while slowly approaching her sister, who slept peacefully on the couch. Rem noticed how exhausted Ram looked. Rams hair was all messy, and her face looked beaten. She was in an even worse state then she previously was when she called Rem
Rem shook Ram's shoulder lightly trying to wake her up, but unsurprisingly it came to no avail. Rem could hear Rams light breathing, and saw her chest rise and lower. Rem smiled she was happy to finally be reunited with her sister
"Is she your sister?" Naoko said. She kept her voice down trying not to wake the sleeping maid on the couch. Rem turned to Naoko with a smile on her face and nodded.
"Nee-Sama looks really exhausted, so Rem thinks we should avoid waking her" Rem said softly
"I think we should put her in our room until she wakes up. She looks like shes gone through war or something" Kenichi suggested while examining Ram from the kitchen table
Rem nodded her head in agreement, and gently picked up Ram. She walked carefully not wanting to wake her. Rem slowly made her way to Naokos and Kenichi's room. Subaru opened the door for her, and she went inside and layed Ram gently on the bed
Rem left Ram to sleep peacefully, she gently closed the door and made her way back to the kitchen to continue making breakfast
"She looked just like you" Kenichi said
"Well no duh there twins dad, don't you already know this' ' Subaru said laughing a bit at his fathers statement
Naoko walked out of the kitchen with paper towels to clean the coffee off the ground.
"Well, I can't wait until she wakes up. I am so excited to meet her" Naoko said smiling
"Did that Beatrice lady send her over here" Kenichi asked Rem and Subaru
Subaru shrugged his shoulders. Sure it sounded like the logical answer, but he truly didn't know
"Rem has no clue to what sent Nee-Sama here" Rem said from the kitchen
Rem continued to finish making breakfast, and the whole household except Ram sat at the table, and enjoyed Rems amazing cooking skills once more. After breakfast Rem wanted to go sit by Rams side until she woke up
Naoko and Subaru handled the dishes, so Rem could go be with her sister
Ram was in a deep state of unconsciousness. Ram saw herself in the center of the village, getting groceries. The bag she had in her hand felt light, it was almost as if there was nothing in it. Ram walked back to the mansion, she felt really sad and depressed while walking, she didn't know why. Just a deep pit of despair kept growing in her stomach
She finally arrived back at the mansion. Usually that walk would take about twenty minutes, but for her it felt like seconds. Ram walked passed the gates, and made her way to the entrance
Ram walked up to the entrance of the mansion. The gravel crunched under her shoes. While walking up to the door. She noticed it open, out came Subaru and Emilia
"Hello Miss Emilia" Ram said in a formal tone giving her a courtesy bow
"Hi Ram. ''Me and Emilia are heading out on a date, we will be back soon" Subaru said. Ram felt that the pit of despise and depression grew larger
Ram felt her head nod in understanding. Subaru and Emilia walked off. Ram wanted to know why she felt so sad. She just wanted to cry for some reason, she wanted to let it all out. But she was unable to, it just continued building up inside her
Ram was now in the kitchen storing away the groceries she got from the village. Oddly they only consisted of two peppers
Ram looked over and saw Rem stirring a pot in the kitchen that laid on top of the stove
"Hi Nee-Sama'' Rem greeted cheerfully. She didn't turn to look at her, she looked down and stared at the pot and continued stirring
"Hello Rem" Ram replied walking up to her. She was confused why Rem didn't turn to look at her, it was as if she was intentionally avoiding her
"Nee-Sama, when does Subaru get back from his date with Emilia?" Rem asked. Ram shrugged her shoulders
"He told me they would not be out long," Ram replied. Rem nodded her head in understanding, continuing to stir the pot on the stove
Rem has yet to turn her head and look at Ram, throughout the entire conversation Rem stared directly into the pot as she was stirring. Ram didn't see Rem even blink once. She just kept stirring
Ram looked out the small window in the kitchen. Dusk had already ascended. Just a couple minutes ago the sun shined in the sky brightly. Ram got confused, how did their small conversation last hours, it didn't last hours, she knew that for a fact
Ram's pit of sadness had yet to leave her body. She felt horrible, she wanted to collapse to the floor and cry for hours or even days
The dining room doors creaked open. Ram walked out of the kitchen, and saw Subaru standing there with Emilia at his side. Emilia was cuddling onto his arm. They both had giant smiles on their faces
"We are back! Dinner ready yet?" Subaru asked. Ram shook her head
"I am pretty tired after our date, so I am going to head to bed,'' Emilia said. Subaru nodded his head. Ram watched, as Emilia and Subaru kissed passionately before parting ways. The pit of depression grew even larger. Ram felt her throat clench up
Emilia took off, and Rem came out of the kitchen "Nee-Sama, can you please leave me and Subaru to talk alone?" Rem asked softly while smiling
Ram nodded and walked back to the kitchen. Walking over to the sink Ram splashed water over her face trying to get a grip over herself. She felt so sad, her throat felt like it was tied into several knots. Rams eye sockets felt like they were going to explode from built up tears
"Subaru, Rem wants to talk to you about something..." Rem asked nervously
"What is it, Rem?" Subaru asked. Ram could overhear Rem and Subarus conversation from the kitchen
"Listen... For the past three months I worked alongside you, Rem has developed strong feelings for you, Subaru. I have dreams about us one day being able to have a child. I just want to know if you would accept me" Rem said from the dining room
Ram left the sink, and walked over to the door. Pressing her ear against it to listen in more intently on their conversation
"Rem I love Emilia" Subaru responded. Ram felt like her heart was ripped from her chest and crushed and stomped on, but what Subaru said next felt even worse
"Though...I can't really deny that I don't like you, so I will tell you what. How would you like to become my second wife"
Ram wanted to rip her ears off and throw them off the cliff. Ram collapsed onto the marble floor and started crying into her hands. Finally being able to let out all that built up sadness and depression
She cried so hard her loud sobs ecod across the mansion, yet nobody seemed to have heard her. Not even Subaru, or Rem who still stood there in the dining room. Both of them completely oblivious to Rams ear piercing sobs from the kitchen
"That sounds like an excellent idea Subaru!" Rem said excitedly. This pained Ram even more, she couldn't believe Rem was fine with this solution
Ram took her hands off her face and looked into them, she saw blood covering them. Ram immediately got up, and looked into the mirror. She saw blood leaking from her eye sockets. Blood replaced her tears
Ram passed out, and collapsed onto the floor immediately after seeing herself in the mirror. Despite only seeing it for no more then two seconds. Rams blood-ridden face of depression was permanently engraved into her mind
She woke up on the kitchen floor. The bright sun illuminated the kitchen, she slept till the next morning it seemed. Ram felt cool liquid ooze down out of her eye sockets as she blinked. Ram looked down at the floor, and saw a small pool of dried up blood on the marble floor
Ram got on her feet, she could barely stand up. Her legs felt like noodles, as they shook uncontrollably. She turned to look into the mirror. Her tears of blood had dried up leaving a notable stain of there trails
Ram caught a glimpse of a bucket of water that was in the kitchen corner, she grabbed a piece of cloth off the counter and began to walk to the bucket
She knelt beside the bucket and drenched the cloth in the water and cleaned her face. Ram took the cloth off her face and looked into it. She saw her blood soaking the damp cloth
Eventually her face was cleaned off, but Ram still felt horrible. She walked out of the kitchen and onto the hallways. She needs to convince Rem to reject Subarus offer
Rams attention focused down the hallway. She saw Rem by Subarus door. Ram slowly walked over to her. She wanted to call out her name, but she couldn't. Rem didn't notice Ram down the hallway
Rem knocked on Subarus door "Subaru Rem wants to ask you something" Rem called out
Ram froze dead in her tracks. She couldn't move; she was frozen in place. No matter how much she thrashed body internally she could not take a single step forward. She couldn't collapse to the floor. Her body was being held in place by this unknown force. The only thing she could do was breathe and blink
Subaru opened his door and greeted Rem with his normal friendly demeanor: "Subaru Rem wants to know if.... You wanted to go on a date with me?" Rem asked. Subaru frowned a bit
"Rem... You know that Emilia gets top priority. How many times do I have to tell you this. I am sorry, but can you please just wait for another time. I think Friday next month Emilia will be busy all afternoon. We can hangout then, ok?" Subaru said
Ram couldn't stand seeing Rems' disappointed facial expression appear on her face. "Why is this happening!?" Ram cried out in her head. She still couldn't move her body. Ram was literally being forced to watch
"But Subaru..." Rem whined out
"Rem, I already told you to wait! Don't start whining again, you promised me you would work on that!" Subaru responded in a slightly agitated tone.
Ram wanted to rip his head clean off, but she couldn't even move her body. She couldn't even speak. Ram wanted to do something to help Rem, but she couldn't
Rem nodded, and walked off still holding her disappointed facial expression. She eventually walked out of sight
Ram was finally given back the ability to move her body. She immediately ran up to Subarus room and kicked the door open, knocking the door off its hinges. Ram screamed out on how she was going to kill Subaru. Her voice carried pure anger and hatred. She yelled so loud it almost damaged her vocal cords, and almost cracked the windows in the hall. Her face was so scrunched up it was growing exhausting
She looked around his room, and tore it apart looking for Subaru. She swung open the closets, flipped over the bed, bashed the chair against the dresser obliterating it into little wooden scraps. Ram continued to tear Subaru room apart letting out all her rage and fury, yet the emotion still burned strong no matter how much things Ram threw, bashed, flipped, and destroyed
Rams ears heard talking coming from outside, in the garden. Ram walked over to the open window to listen in
"Rem guess what! I got news for you!" Subaru said happily running towards Rem. Rem turned around with a smile on her face excited to hear the news Subaru spoke of
"What is it Subaru?" Rem asked excitedly. Subaru finally got close to her, and put his hands on her shoulders
"Rem.... Emilia is pregnant!" Subaru said happily. Rem still kept her smile
"That's great, Subaru!" Rem said. Subaru nodded his head in agreement . His smile stood proudly on his face
"Subaru, do you think one day Rem ca-"
"Rem..." Subaru interrupted Rem with a frown growing on his face. Rem still kept her smile despite being rudely interrupted
"Subaru, you know I wanted to have kids one day, can I have just one? It doesn't have to be now, but just going forward in the future" Rem asked. Subaru sighed heavily and face palmed
"Rem please tell me something, why would I want to have a child with.... You?" Subaru said pointing at Rem as if she were the most useless thing that ever walked
Rems' horn came out of her forehead. Rem pointed to it
"Subaru the child could be half demon, and human. It would be so adorable" Rem said. Subaru didn't respond, he turned his back and started walking away
"Subaru wait!" Rem shouted out. She tried running to him, but she tripped on a large rock that sent her tumbling down the hill. Subaru didn't pay any attention to it and walked off leaving her, despite obviously hearing Rem fall
Ram immediately ran out of the mansion. Ram had streams of tears down her face, she couldn't believe this was happening to her own sister. That this was the life Rem chose. Ram was so angry with Subaru she wanted to do more then just kill him, she wanted to tourture him
Ram touched her face and saw real tears instead of blood this time. This mattered little to Ram. Blood on her face would not deter her from running to Rem, or killing Subaru
She eventually ran outside of the mansion, and to the hill Rem fell down. Ram's heart was beating so fast she could feel it come out of her chest each time it beat. Ram sprinted to the hill
Ram looked down the hill, and saw Rems head laying on a rock. Ram immediately ran over to her, she almost tripped and fell down herself
"Rem, are you ok!?" Ram shouted as she sprinted over to her sister. Ram froze dead in her tracks when she saw blood on the rock Rems head was laying against. Ram saw another small trail of blood on the grass. Her eyes followed it, and there she saw Rems' horn on the grass completely detached from her head. She saw it still glowing slightly, but it soon died out completely
Rem stood up from the ground. Ram pointed to Rems forehead her arm was trembling, as more tears streamed down Ram's face. Ram hated Subaru more than the witches cult at this point
"Rem your...."
"I know Nee-Sama" Rem responded in a slightly sad but understanding tone. Ram collapsed to the ground, and started sobbing loudly again. She could not believe what she was witnessing. Why does Rem have to live like this?
Rem walked over to Ram and started stroking her hair
"It's ok Nee-Sama, I am fine" Rem said. Ram took her hands off her face, and turned to look at Rem. Tears streamed down Rams face instead of blood this time
"Rem.... He.. Why!?" Ram said she didn't even know what to say. Ram felt like she was suffering
"He..He..Cut your horn off your head!" Ram cried out
"Nee-Sama dont be sad, you need to be happy for Subaru and Emilias wedding tomorrow" Rem said. More tears streamed down Ram's face, her face scrunched up as the emotions of sadness and anger blended together. To create this one powerful hybrid emotion
"He mistreats you! Why? Rem.. Why don't you just leave him! Why him! He doesnt deserve you!" Ram shouted out, her sobbing growing louder
"Nee-Sama I know you are still upset that I don't get to have a wedding ceremony. But that was months ago, you need to let it go" Rem said still stroking Rams hair
"No! Rem... Please listen! Leave him... Kill him for all I care!" Ram pleaded. She turned and latched on to Rems leg
"Please Rem! It's for your own good!" Ram pleaded
Ram felt her vision growing darker. The figure of Rem in front of her started to go dark
"Nee-Sama please calm down" Rem said in front of Ram as her vision grew increasingly darker
Her vision eventually went completely black, nothing was visible. Though Ram still felt Rem stroking her hair
Ram's eyelids crept opened to reveal a white ceiling. Her vision was still blurry and disoriented. Ram felt her hair being brushed, as her head laid back on a pillow
"Nee-Sama please calm down" Rem asked quietly and calmly from beside Ram
"Mmmhm Rem?" Ram groaned out. Looking around the unfamiliar and strange room she was in
"Yes Nee-Sama?" Rem whispered happily hearing her sister finally awake. Rem still brushed Rams hair in long strokes
Rem noticed Ram groaning and mumbling in her sleep and got worried, she thought brushing her hair would help calm her down. Ram looked like she was having a horrible nightmare
"Nee-Sama are you ok? Did you have a nightmare?" Rem asked
Ram's eyes shot open, as she bolted upright and looked around the room she was in. Ram saw all the unfamiliar technology surrounding her. She looked over to Rem, her eyes wide open. She was unsure if she was still dreaming
"Rem where am I... How did I get here!?" Ram asked, confusion and distress present in her voice
"Calm down Nee-Sama, you are with me and Subaru in Japan. We found you fast asleep on the couch. We don't know who or what brought you here, but Subarus parents suggested that I bring you to their room so you can rest. I noticed that you were having a nightmare so stayed here and comforted you, until you woke up" Rem said with a sweet smile on her face
Ram was relieved to have woken up from that nightmare, but she still felt fear and anger. She remembered how she saw Subaru treat Rem in her dream. She will never forget the things she heard Subaru say to Rem
"Why... Am I here? Why with Barusu. I'd rather be anywhere else than be with him!" Ram said in an unhappy tone crossing her arms, and closing her eyes. Ram was obviously not in the mood to be around Subaru
"Don't be negative Nee-Sama, Subarus' world is amazing, you will love it. Now please get up, I want to introduce you to Subarus parents" Rem said as she stood besides her sister pulling tugging her arm a bit
Ram wrenched her arm back, and stood up
"I sure can't wait to see that useless imbecile's parents, they probably dropped him as a child" Ram said rudely. As she rubbed her eyes
Rem didn't know why Ram seemed mad, and upset about being to Subarus world. She was even more confused as to why Ram had this sudden grudge on Subaru to begin with
Usually Ram didn't mind being around Subaru, sure she insulted him but she never seemed truly bothered by it. Rem had a feeling her new relationship was the reason why Ram seemed so upset with Subaru. Rem knew Ram had yet to accept it
" Nee-Sama, Subarus parents are very excited to meet you, please don't be rude in front of them" Rem pleaded in soft tone
"Rem...." Ram wanted to say something but didn't know what to say. She looked into Rems eyes and saw her give a pleading look
"Nee-Sam, please get up" Rem asked
Ram sighed "Fine" She mumbled as she tried to stand up. Ram almost fell to the floor, luckily Rem caught her. Her legs still felt weak. Rem helped lead Ram out to the living room
Naoko, Kenichi, and Subaru their attention was fixated to the show they were watching
Naoko saw Rem with Ram around her shoulder, walking out of the bedroom. Ram was practically being dragged by Rem. When ever Ram would try and put a foot forward she would stumble down
"Look who decided to join us?" Naoko said warmly as a smile spread across her face. Kenichi turned to look at Ram
"Hello Ram... Is that your name? Anyway, how was your sleep?" Kenichi asked. Ram had a blank expression on her face. She frowned slightly when her eyes laid onto Subaru. Subaru noticed the weird look Ram was giving him and got confused
"It was fine," Ram said as she sat down with Rem. Rem didn't have the brightest look on her face either she was still a tiny bit annoyed at Ram for her comment about Subaru being dropped as child
Ram looked at Subaru then looked at Kenichi, and chuckled a bit
"Barusu are you adopted, because you look nothing like your father. Your father looks muscular and strong unlike you" Ram said smiling a bit
"Barusu, is that what you call him?" Kenichi asked. Ram slowly nodded her head. Kenichi laughed
"That's a good nickname I have to admit, I like how it rolls off the tongue," Kenichi said. Subaru sighed and face palmed
"Mr Kenichi, can Rem ask you something? I rather it be in a private setting" Rem asked
"Sure Rem let's head into my room" Kenichi said as he stood up. Kenichi turned to look at Subaru and a giant smile grew on his face
"After this quick wrestling match!" Kenichi said as he tackled Subaru to the floor. Kenichi and Subaru struggled with each other. Kenichi obviously seemed to be winning the fight. Kenichi grabbed Subaru in a bind, Subaru thrashed like a fish trying to break free
"Come on Barusu! Have you had enough already!?" Kenichi shouted out. Ram chuckled a bit hearing Kenichi use her nickname on Subaru. Ram kind of found their wrestling match attractive; she had a hard time taking her eyes off it. She continued to watch with glitter in her eyes
"Dad! Please!" Subaru shouted out
"What was that Barusu!" Kenichi asked
"I give up! Please stop!" Subaru pleaded. Kenichi finally let go of Subaru, and stood up. He had a giant smile on his face. He turned to Ram
"Feel free to finish what I started, while I talk to Rem" Kenichi said as he made his way to his room with Rem following behind him.
Subaru sat up on the floor, and looked over to Ram. Subaru got confused when he saw Ram wipe drool from her mouth, before turning to Subaru and grinning. Subaru was tackled back onto the floor by Ram, and held down
"Ram!" Subaru shouted out as Ram pinned him to the floor
Kenichi turned his head to the living room hoping to see his own son being put into submission by a maid. He caught a small glimpse of them struggling. A giant smile came to his face. He let Rem into his room and closed the door
"So whats up" Kenichi asked curiously
"Rem wants Subaru and Nee-Sama to get along. As of right now they aren't really getting along that well. Nee-Sama is not very accepting of my new relationship. Rem wants to know what she can do to help them get along better" Rem asked
Kenichi and Rem could hear Subarus struggles from there room
"How is this fair, you know I can't hit her!" Subaru shouted out from the living room
"Find a way!" Kenichi shouted back. Kenichi turned his attention back to Rem
"If you ask me Rem Subaru and your sister need some one on one time. To sort of have a heart to heart chat with each other" Kenichi said
"Whenever me and my siblings would fight. My dad would lock us in a cabin with each other until we got along. It usually always worked" Kenichi said, laughing a bit thinking about all the times he and his sibling threw broken furniture at each other
"Ummm ok, but how do we do that?" Rem asked, still having no clue as to what to do. Kenichi's face lit up as a giant smile crept across his face
"I got an idea," Kenichi said as went to his drawer and sorted through the items looking for a particular item. Kenichi was laughing a bit as he thought of his idea, and how perfect it was
"What is it?" Rem asked curiously
She then noticed Kenichi pull out what seemed to be a pair of metal bracelets with a chain in the middle. Rem looked at Kenichi confused at what he had in his hand
"Bring me your wrist Rem" Kenichi said. Rem lent out her arm, and she soon felt her wrist be wrapped around in cold metal and tightened
"What did you put on my wrist?" Rem asked not yet catching onto Kenichi's idea
"These Rem, are restraints and hold your hands together. These are usually used by law enforcement, but today they will be used for a different purpose" Kenichi said, laughing a bit. He knew this was going to be good
Rem tried to take the metal brace off to no avail. Kenichi eventually unlocked it using a key.
"What we are going to do, Rem, is cuff up Ram and Subarus hands together, and make them go explore or something. This should give them some good one on one time since they need to work together to walk in a direction" Kenichi said with a smile on his face
Rem smiled, finally getting at Kenichi's plan "It's perfect" Rem said happily
"I know right, anyway let's get your sister changed out of those maid clothes. Then we will all get in the car and drop Ram and Subaru off at a mall or something" Kenichi said smiling. Rem nodded her head
Kenichi swung open his door, and ran into the living room hoping to see his son get beaten by a girl. Ram and Subaru were still struggling with each other. Subaru had finally broken free, and tried to escape. Ram grabbed onto him not letting him get away
They both started rolling around on the carpet. Subaru was trying to run, while Ram was trying to pin him back on the floor
"Nee-Sama can you please let go of Subaru" Rem asked. Ram was reluctant to let Subaru escape her grasp, but eventually obliged and let go of Subaru
Subaru and Ram breathed heavily, having been totally exhausted from their wrestling match. Kenichi ran up to Ram, and put his hand on her shoulder
"Outstanding!" Kenichi said proudly as he smiled. Ram nodded. Subaru got back on the couch and laid back
"Alright Nee-Sama you need to change out of those clothes, cause we are going out" Rem said enthusiastically. Ram looked at Rem weirdly
"What why? What's wrong with my outfit?" Ram asked not understanding
"Ram people around here don't wear maid outfits just casually. Maids are a lot less common here in Japan" Subaru said standing up and stretching
"Well, what else am I going to wear?" Ram asked. Rem took Ram's hand and led her to Rem and Subarus room.
"Don't worry about that Nee-Sama. Rem has clothes to lend you" Rem said as she and Ram entered the room.
Rem looked through Subarus' dresser trying to find something for Ram to wear. She eventually found a red dress for Ram to wear. Rem grabbed the dress and held it over Ram to if it would fit
"Try this on" Rem said as she handed the dress to Ram. Ram nodded her head
Ram got changed, and exited Subarus room and walked to the living room. While in Subarus room Ram couldn't help but stare at some of the technology in Subarus room. She actually played around with the lamp a bit, turning it on and off. It actually amazed her how something like that could function
"Alright let's head out" Kenichi said as he opened the door
"Have fun you four" Naoko said completely oblivious of Rem and Kenichis plan. Kenichi smiled as he closed the door. They went to the parking garage and got inside the car
Ram didn't understand what a car was so Rem explained it to her the same way Subaru did. Kenichi laughed when he heard the word "Dragon carriage"
"Wait dragons pull stuff around back in that mad world?" Kenichi asked. Subaru nodded his head
"How do you get them not to like... Eat you, or breathe fire on you?" Kenichi asked again. Subaru shrugged his shoulders he actually knew very little about dragons in Lugnica
When Ram entered the car she immediately fell back asleep from how comfy the seats were. Ram was fast asleep the entire car ride, so she wasn't able to see the city
Rem brushed Rams hair during the car ride as she slept. Kenichi was amazed, himself and his siblings would fight like crazy whenever they had the chance. He never saw sibling bonding at this level
Kenichi drove up to the mall and parked alongside the sidewalk. Subaru got confused
"Why are we parked here?" Subaru asked. Kenichi and Rem smiled at each other knowing it was time
"Before we can continue, me and Rem here have a surprise for you and Ram" Kenichi said as he exited the car. Subaru exited the car as well curious to what this surprise was
"Wake up Nee-Sama I got a surprise for you" Rem said as she shook Rams shoulder, her eyes eventually opening
"What is it?" Ram asked curiously as she rubbed her eyes and yawned
"You will see get out of the car and I will unveil it to you" Rem said as she opened the door, and stepped out. Ram struggled with the seatbelt, she eventually clicked the button that set her free. She got out of the car and looked up at all the giant buildings that seemed to touch the sky
"Alright Ramand Subaru you two close your eyes and put your backs near the car" Kenichi asked with a giant smile on his face. He knew this was going to be entertaining
Subaru and Ram did as they were told and closed their eyes and put their backs against the car. They were both confused at what was happening. Ram and Subaru suddenly felt a metal bracelet tighten one of their wrists
Their eyes bolted open and saw that the bracelets they were wearing were connected by a chain. Ram wrenched her arm when she saw she was connected to Subaru. Subaru arm yanked in her direction
"Hey that hurts! Stop pulling!" Subaru yelled out at Ram. He noticed his dad was laughing hysterically, while Rem was laughing with a hand over her mouth
"What's the meaning behind this!" Subaru shouted, wrenching his arm back pulling Ram in his direction. Ram yanked her arm back, almost sending Subaru off balance
"Well you see Subaru you and Ram are going to be spending the next two hours chained together, try not to kill each other" Kenichi said smiling
"Rem, I can't believe you restrained me to be close to him! Like we are married or something!" Ram said in an angry tone. Rem just smiled
"Meet us back here in two hours, have fun Subaru and Nee-Sama" Rem said as she gave a departing hug to Subaru
"Rem please save me..." Subaru pleaded as Rem hugged him. Rem only laughed and got in the car along with Kenichi
"This can't be happening to me!" Subaru cried as he collapsed to one knee next to Ram. One of his hands suspended into the air
"Don't even act like you didn't have anything to do with this Barusu" Ram said staring at Subaru with a blank expression on her face
"You think I want to be chained up for two hours, with you!?" Subaru said as stood up
"I think you get sexually aroused by this. I feel quite violated" Ram said
"What!? So you wrestling me onto the floor is ok, but us standing somewhat close to each other is where we draw the line" Subaru responded confused
"I already have a healthy relationship with Rem, why would I want you? You clearly don't seem interested me" Subaru questioned
You simply got frustrated that Rem refused to give into your weird sexual desires, and you then thought I would be an easier target. Just willing to give in at anything you asked of me" Ram said
"Why are you mentioning something like that? I would never pressure Rem or even you to do something that you weren't comfortable with. Rem loves me, and I love Rem. I respect her boundaries. Also weird sexual desires? I saw you drooling when me and my dad were wrestling. Besides why would I want to be in a relationship with you anyway?"
"Probably to try and make me your 3rd wife! So you could use me as another spare!?" Ram said getting closer to Subaru her face scrunched up a little
"3rd wife? What do you mean?" Subaru asked confused at what Ram was getting onto him about
"Yes 3rd wife, first Emilia, second Rem, then me"
"I dont wa-" Subaru was interrupted
"Listen Barusu, I am not going to argue with you out in public. So I suggest you stop talking and wait until they come back!" Ram said trying to walk towards the bench she forgot she was chained to Subaru and sighed.
"Start walking!" Ram demanded as she tugged her wrist, Subaru followed but Ram was walking much faster
"Slow down!" Subaru said as he was trying to match Rams walking pace. Ram continued she could feel the metal dig into her wrist as her arm tugged further back.
Ram gritted her teeth, and wrenched her arm forward sending Subaru off his feet and to the ground. Ram felt her shoulder almost dislocated as she was tugged to be next to Subaru. Ram collapsed to one knee
Ram rubbed her shoulder and looked at the cuff wounds on her wrists. She didn't have it in her anymore to pull Subaru. Her shoulder sent out small throbs of pain
"Get up!" Ram demanded, as she stood back up she was hunched over because Subaru had yet to stand up. He eventually got back on his feet, he turned to Ram before she took off again
"Let's just walk side by side it will make this far easier" Subaru said
"Fine," Ram said defeatedly as she and Subaru started walking again. Ram did not like walking close to Subaru one bit
They finally reached the benches and sat down. They sat close to each other, yet looked in completely different directions not wanting to look at the person they were chained too
People walked by Ram and Subaru, not many people noticed them chained together. When ever someone would pass by Ram would get scared, she didn't want people to think that herself and Subaru were in a relationship
"Why are all these people looking at us weirdly?" Ram said in an uncomfortable tone. Subaru looked down at their wrists
"I got no clue," Subaru said sarcastically. Ram sighed
"Last thing I want is for people to actually think we are married. You clearly don't interest me" Ram said
"Well I am sorry I am not a tall guy that wears clown makeup. That's another thing, do you have a thing for clowns?" Subaru asked. He soon felt a strong jab at his hip
"Do not insult Master Rosswal, I will not tolerate you destroying his image" Ram said in a very agitated tone
"When did I insult him? I just asked if you liked clowns, that's all" Subaru said
Subaru went to scratch his face with his other hand but the second he lifted it Ram yanked it back down
"Stop pulling, you are making this so much harder than it needs to be" Subaru said. Ram looked at him anger glaring in her eyes
"You were the one who was practically being dragged over to this bench. It's not my fault your slow '' Ram said
"You were practically running to the bench. Like it was a marathon or something" Subaru responded rubbing his wrist with his other hand
"Just stop talking," Ram said as she closed her eyes, trying to fall back asleep. Ram laid back on the bench and tried to fall asleep but she couldn't. Her anger was too much to bear she couldn't relax under these circumstances
Subaru tried to stretch but once again his arm was yanked back into position by Ram. Subaru sighed and stood up
"Let's go get something to eat. It will make the time go by faster" Subaru said as he looked at Ram, and noticed she was intentionally avoiding eye contact. Ram was a bit hungry not having breakfast yet
"Fine, but you keep up when we are walking" Ram said as she also stood up
Subaru and Ram made their way across the streets. Subaru was the one leading the way with Ram following close behind her arm slightly extended in front her
Unlike Rem, Ram was not taking in the breathtaking sights of the city. She was too angry and frustrated to pay any attention to her surroundings. All her attention was focused on her pit of rage and anger
Though she did take some interest in all the stores that passed her by. She liked looking into the display windows and looking at the things they were selling
Ram and Subaru walked past a clothing store. Ram looked in the glass and saw a white faceless figure
"Barusu!" Ram screamed out, leaping away from the window. Subaru felt his arm tug in her direction as his walking stopped, sharp pain coming to his wrist
"What did I tell you about pulling?" Subaru said annoyed. His face softened a bit when he saw Rams' startled expression. He noticed she was staring at the mannequins in the display window
Subaru laughed a bit
"Those are just statues Ram they are used to display stuff" Subaru said
"I don't like the look of them. They have no faces, statues have faces" Ram said still a bit shaken up
A light smile came across Subarus face. "So you're scared of mannequins." Subaru said in his head. He had just discovered another one of Rams weaknesses
"Lets go now Ram we don't want to draw any attention to ourselves" Subaru said as he tugged his arm lightly signaling Ram to continue walking
Ram did not like the sight of the mannequin; it made her feel unsettled. Subaru and Ram eventually made it to a random restaurant. They went in and were greeted by a waiter
The waiter noticed the handcuffs on Subaru and Rams wrists and laughed a bit. She didn't bother to ask why they were chained up together. The waiter led Subaru and Ram to a table next to the window
The table was small enough so Subaru and Ram could sit across from each other. The waiter handed Ram and Subaru menus before leaving. Subaru then hoped that the waiter would not call the police thinking he kidnapped Ram or something
People out on the street were able to notice the handcuffs on Subaru and Ram wrists. People walking by were pointing and laughing. Some were even snapping pictures to send to their friends and family. Subaru and Ram were completely oblivious not noticing
"What does this say Barusu?" Ram said as she laid the menu down. Like Rem she couldn't read Japanese. Though Rem was starting to be able to
"Ummm what do you want to drink, actually I know what to get you" Subaru said smiling Ram just nodded her head
Eventually the waiter came back and took their order. Subaru ordered a pizza for him and Ram to share, and ordered their drinks. The waiter left with there orders, and would return once there food was done
Subaru sat back and wondered how he was going to get back at his Dad and Rem for doing this to him. Rams attention was fixated on the TV above them. Ram did not understand how the TV worked, but she enjoyed seeing it work. The TV was tuned to a news channel and talked about a bunch of political stuff Ram did not understand one bit
Eventually the waiter came out with their food. She placed the pizza in front of Ram and Subaru. She also gave Ram and Subaru this black liquid in a glass. Before taking off again
"What is this drink Barusu?" Ram asked while inspecting the glass next to her.
"It's soda Ram, I gave some to Rem and she enjoyed it. Make sure to drink it really fast, it tastes better that way" Subaru said smiling a bit
Ram looked at Subaru uncertain at what he said was true, but decided to do what Subaru said and started to drink the glass very quickly. She was about two seconds in. Before she put the glass back on the table
"It burns Barusu!" Ram said with a little panic. Her expression softened when the burning sensation in her mouth started to cool down immediately. Ram actually enjoyed the taste she. It's a taste she hasn't even experienced before.
Ram looked at the pizza weirdly. She had never seen anything like this before. She saw Subaru reach over and take a slice and started eating it. Ram did the same. Her eyes lit up when she took her first bite.
This was easily one of the best things Ram has ever tasted in her life. Ram really enjoyed it. The only thing that made it bad was that she was chained to Subaru still
Ram and Subaru ate the food in front of them. They didn't speak a word to each other. None of them were in a mood to talk to each other. They were both still bitter at the situation they were in
They eventually finished their food, Subaru paid and the two made their way back to the meet-up point. Ram and Subaru grown adjusted to walking with handcuffs on so there wasn't a whole bunch of pulling
They arrived eventually and sat back down on the bench. Waiting for Rem and Kenichi to return. They eventually saw a car pull up and Rem exited and smiled when he saw her sister and Subaru sitting so close to each other
Ram got up from the bench and practically dragged Subaru to the car; she wanted to get set free as soon as possible
"Ram!" Subaru shouted in pain as he was dragged across the ground by Ram
"So how was it?" Kenichi said smiling
"Horrible. I just took her out to eat, and that was about it" Subaru said as he stood back up. Kenichi unlocked Subaru and Ram freeing their wrists at last
They both rubbed their wrists. Rem and Kenichi saw the cuff wounds on both of their wrists and laughed at the image of them dragging each other out in the public
"Yes it was horrible. Rem, I am extremely disappointed in you. Never do that to me again" Ram scolded Rem
"Are you like her mother or something?" Subaru asked. Ram just ignored him
A frown came on Rems face, she could tell Ram did not enjoy being with Subaru. Rem was suddenly pulled into a tight hug by Subaru. Subaru saw Rems face and felt bad for her
"Hi Rem," Subaru said kindly. Rem smiled. She was glad Subaru missed her, but she still had work to do with Ram. Rem didn't know why Ram was so against her relationship
Rem heard Ram scoff when they were hugging and that made Rem a little bit annoyed. She just didn't know what her deal was
"I think it's time I take you guys home, I got to get to work" Kenichi said as he unlocked the doors to the car
They all got in the car, and Kenichi drove them back to their apartment. The car ride was silent. Subaru and Ram didnt feel like talking about their experience. Not that there experience was anything worth talking about
Rem was disappointed that Ram had yet accepted her relationship, she really thought this would work. They eventually arrived, and the three of them got out.
"Me and your mother will be returning late. If you need anything just call" Kennichi said to Subaru before he closed the door. Subaru nodded and Kenichi took back off
The three made their way back to the apartment. Still not talking with each other. When they eventually arrived inside the apartment Ram finally spoke up
"So are you really seeing each other?" Ram blurted out rudely. Rem sighed
"Yes Nee-Sama, I already told you this earlier. I don't know why you haven't accepted it already" Rem said in a annoyed tone as she walked over to Subaru and hugged him tightly
Ram stood there, her expression not changing. She crossed her arms in disapproval. Rams nightmare started to play on loop in her head. All the things Subaru said to Rem ecod through her mind
"I don't get it what do you see in th-"
"Nee-Sama, Rem doesn't want to have this conversation. Can you please either go lay back down, or join me and Subaru for reading and writing lessons" Rem said in a slightly annoyed tone. She was growing tired of Ram insulting her relationship
"Barusu you better be treating her right. As her older sister, just tell Barusu that if you make her cry once or do anything to make her upset. I will make it my personal mission and priority to end your life" Ram said
"I dont get why you are being so protective. You are only older by like five seconds. I think Rem is capable of making her own decisions. I would also never do anything to make Rem upset" Subaru said. He noticed that Rams face started to scrunch up.
"You already know my feelings regarding Barusu, and I feel low key insulted that this wasn't taken into consideration before you started your relationship." Ram said in a snappy tone
"You can't just be happy for me. Is it too much to ask!" Rem said, shouting slightly. Subaru could hear Rems voice start breaking, he knew she was on the verge of tears
He knew where this conversation was heading. He needed to do something to de-escalate the argument that was about to unleash.
"Did you discard your twin sync with Rem, and start one with Bea-ko coming up with insults to launch at me. Good to know I have a following" Subaru said chuckling a bit trying to lighten the mood
"Unlike you Barusu I don't need to discard new relationships before starting new ones. This is probably the reason why you have no friends" Ram said. Subarus face dropped as he realized he just made things worse. He tried laughing to dismiss it as a joke, but Rem turned to him with her face slightly scrunched up
"Subaru would you please go out and get us some food. Rem needs to have a sisterly talk with Nee-Sama" Rem asked Subaru
Subaru knew what was going to happen the second he stepped out of that apartment
"Uhhh me and Ram just had lu" Subaru was suddenly dragged by the collar by Rem and thrown out of the apartment
He heard Rem close, and lock the door. Subaru looked under the mat to retrieve the spare key, but did not find it."Where's the spare key?" He remembered he took the spare key with him inside when he and Rem arrived back. With no way to get in. He decided to just late fate play its course, and let Rem and Ram hash it out. "I hope this doesn't end badly" Subaru thought to himself before reluctantly leaving
After Rem locked the door she turned to face her sister. Rem had flames burning in her eyes. Ram stepped back a little unsettled at Rems facial expression
"I had enough of your attitude Nee-Sama. Even before you got here you have been nothing but disrespectful not only to Subaru, but me as well!" Rem said on the verge of shouting. Rams eyes widened she never thought she would get in an argument with her own sister
"How have I been rude? Do you even realize the amount of effort me and Lady Beatrice have put in to try and retrieve you. I stayed up countless nights to find you!" Ram responded
"Nee-Sama why did you want to leave Subaru here! Why do you want me, to discard my relationship and return to a boring maid life!" Rem shouted out at her sister. Finally letting out her frustration
"Rem! Can't you see he is using you!" Ram shouted out. Rem stormed up to her looking at her dead in the eyes
"What do you mean!? How is he using me!?" Rem shouted out. She demanded an answer from Ram
"Rem listen! I just don't want you to be degraded to a second wife! You deserve the full attention any first wife should get!" Ram shouted back. Ram remembered how Subaru would put Emilia first in her nightmare
"What do you mean second wife!? How did you even jump to that conclusion!? You know that's almost exactly how I felt around you for the majority of my life. I have Subaru to thank for making me realize that I am better than that!"
"I never put you in that position! I never wanted you to degrade yourself to that level! You put yourself in that position, so how is that my fault! What I mean is don't you already realize Barusu has his sights set on Emilia, It was clear as day" Ram said
"I was always aware of that! Do you think I am blind and deaf!? But do you know what Subaru told me!? He told me that he chose me instead of Emilia! This is the problem with you! All you do is make cruel assumptions of Subaru. I bet when we disappeared to Japan. You assumed that he took me or killed me or something. Don't lie!"
"You don't know that! I was really worried about you! Imagine if I had disappeared randomly one morning, not leaving any trace of where I was!"
"So you're not going to deny it! It's true then, you thought Subaru killed me!"
"Rem! I was scared!" Ram shouted out
"It's not an excuse Nee-Sama! You know what, I need some time away from you! Get out!" Rem shouted as she grabbed Rams arm tightly
"What!?" Ram said confused trying to wrench her arm back
"You heard me! Go away Ram!" Rem shouted as she dragged Ram to the front door
"Where!?" Ram responded
"I don't know, but you better figure it out because Rem is done helping!" Rem said as she opened the door shoving Ram out of the apartment
"You better go find a way to contact lady Beatrice, and go back to Rosswal! Rem will not be joining you! You are by yourself now! Hold on let me get something!" Rem said as she stormed back inside
Ram couldn't believe that Rem could even get this mad at her. She didn't understand what she did wrong. Ram was just scared for her well being
Rem returned with Ram's maid outfit in her hands folded up in a ball. She threw it at Ram covering her face
"Rem never wants to see you again!" Rem shouted as she slammed the door and locked it
Ram couldn't believe the words that just came out of her own sister's mouth. What Rem just said hurt more than death itself. Tears started to fall down Ram's cheeks as thoughts of never seeing her sister again filled her head.
She wanted Rem to be happy, that's all Ram ever wanted
Ram got up and made her way down the hallway. She exited the apartment building, and was met by the true technological wonder that was Subarus world
Ram was so built up with anger when she was with Subaru, she wasn't able to take in the true awe of Subarus world. Ram walked out to the bustling city and her eyes lit up at the sight of cars, skyscrapers, people, and billboards advertising different products
Ram couldn't read Japanese so she couldn't understand what was on them. Ram wandered across the street. Ram did not have Subaru there to inform her about these unknown technological advancements
The people on the streets gave Ram weird looks as they passed her by. Ram noticed the weird looks she was getting, and eventually broke off the street and down an alleyway
She stopped behind a dumpster and sat down. Tears streamed down from her eyes, she was alone and scared. She looked into a puddle and saw her reflection. She hoped to see Beatrice's face, but nobody came.
Ram wanted someone to help her. Someone to comfort her, but she had no one to turn to. The pit of depression Ram felt in her nightmare came back to her
Subaru was at a noodle shop ordering takeout to bring back to the apartment. He noticed storm clouds moving in.
Once Subaru got the food he started to make his way home. Subaru hoped that the conversation was going well, and that Subaru wasn't going to return to see either a completely destroyed apartment. Or an eviction notice.
When he arrived on his floor. He noticed Ram's maid outfit on the floor. Ram didn't bother to take it with her when she left. Subaru made his way to the door and knocked it lightly
"Rem, it's me. Can you open the door please?" Subaru said softly. He didn't hear any arguing, so he started to think Rem and Ram made up
He heard the door unlock, and saw the apartment door slowly open. Subaru saw Rem on the other side. Subaru noticed that her eyes were bloodshot with tears streaming down her eyes
"Oh great" Subaru thought to himself when he saw Rem. Rem opened the door and ran out to hug Subaru tightly
Subaru placed the bag he was holding down and embraced Rem. She started to cry again in Subarus chest. Her tears soaking Subarus' tracksuit. Subaru placed one of his hands on her head
"It's ok Rem, lets just go inside and you can tell me what happened alright?" Subaru said picking the bag back up
Rem nodded and broke away and entered the apartment. Subaru followed. He slipped his shoes off and before he closed the door. He walked out and picked up Rams maid outfit and made his way to the living room
He sat on the couch and Rem sat beside him. Subaru could hear her sniffling. Rem grabbed a pillow off the couch and hugged it tightly over her head.
"Alright Rem, so what happened while I was out?" Subaru asked, looking at Rem.
"I took care of Nee-Sama," Rem said, still having the pillow over her head. Subaru didn't understand what she said cause the pillow muffled her words
"Rem I can't understand you with that pillow over your face" Subaru said trying to wrestle the pillow away from Rem. Rem being stronger she was able to shake him off
"Rem don't act like that" Subaru said laying back to his side of the couch. Rem lowered the pillow from her face
"Rem and Nee-Sama got in a fight" Rem said in a sad tone tears welling up back up in her eyes
"I would've guessed that, anyway don't be upset over it. Siblings fighting is a normal thing" Subaru said calmly
"Rem got rid of Nee-Sama" Rem said putting the pillow back on the couch
"You what?" Subaru said not understanding what Rem meant. His mind was starting to think Rem killed her or something
"I kicked Nee-Sama out, she is nothing but rude and mean, and Rem is done tolerating it" Rem said closing her eyes and crossing her arms
"Rem we can't let Ram go out there by herself, she could get hurt or lost. She doesn't know this world at all" Subaru said standing up
"Rem could care less if Nee-Sama gets lost. She just wants to run back to Rosswal. Lady Beatrice will find her eventually" Rem said in an angry tone
"Don't talk like that, you just got into one tiny argument. An argument that can be resolved. Don't let that destroy your lifelong friendship or siblingship" Subaru said as he grabbed an umbrella from the closet
Rem sat in silence "Rem I am going to go find Ram, and we are going to get this sorted out" Subaru said as he put his shoes on. Rem nodded in response
Subaru exited the apartment and made his way onto the streets. Rain started pouring. Subaru walked around looking for Ram
After going down various streets he looked down an alley and saw a strand of pink hair sticking out from behind a dumpster
Ram was sitting behind the dumpster. Ram just wanted to see Rem again. She just wanted Rem to be happy and have a good life. Ram never wanted to have a fight with Rem. Rain poured from the sky completely soaking her hair
She didn't know what to do, she was stuck in this unknown world with no one to turn to. She felt hopeless. She looked up when she saw someone walk in front of her. Her eyes looked up to meet the person who stood before her
Rams eyes lit up at the sight of Subaru
"Subaru" Ram said in a sad tone and hopeful tone hoping her eyes did not decisive her
"Hi Ram, good thing I found you. How long have you been here?" Subaru asked with a smile on his face. He was relieved that he actually was able to track down Ram
Ram got up and hugged Subaru tightly and sobbed into his chest
"I'm sorry, are you mad at me?" She cried out as her sobs grew louder. Subaru wrapped his arm around her back
"It's ok Ram, don't be sad" Subaru said trying to comfort Ram
"Rem hates me!" Ram cried out again her voice slightly muffled by Subaru shirt
"No she doesn't, you just got into a fight. Have you ever had a fight with her before?" Subaru asked
"Nnn-No" Ram answered, her sobs stopping her face still buried in Subarus chest
"What really? That's got to be a record for the healthiest sibling relationship on earth" Subaru said
"What do you mean?" Ram asked as she took her face away from Subarus chest to look at him
"What I mean is. It's an extremely common thing for siblings to fight. Just because you're close doesn't mean you are not going to have disagreements" Subaru said. Ram smiled at what Subaru said, she felt a little better
"Look at that I finally made you smile, it only took me three months" Subaru said jokingly
