You looked around the market, today was the weekends and you decided to go buy some ingredients and food. You were headed to your usual fish stall. "Gramps~" You cheerfully spoke out as you walked up to his stall. The fish vendor gave you a bright smile, "Oh! Y/n! You're here! Welcome!" he greets you, you gave him a smile in response and looked around the fishes that were laid out.
You raised an eyebrow, "You don't have any tuna today Gramps??" You ask, "Oh! I have a lot today don't worry, I just opened." he reassured you. You nodded, "Well... I want to buy the belly part." you spoke out, he nodded. "Alright then, let me go call my grandson, he's helping me today." he told you, you raised an eyebrow, 'Grandson? I don't think I have met him yet...' You thought. "Bob! Come here, I want you to take care of the tuna!" The fish vendor shouted, "Bob...?" you mumbled.
Soon, a familiar figure walks out of the storage room, revealing the one and only softie you knew and were familiar with, Bob. Your face quickly lit up as you gave him a cheerful smile, "Bob?!" you spoke out in disbelief, "Eh..?? Y/n??" Bob replied, confused. "Oh?? It seems that you know my grandson huh?" The vish vendor comments, "Of course gramps! He's my friend and classmate." you told him. Bob let out a small proud smile at 'Friend'.
The fish vendor let out a satisfied smile, "Well that's good, I'm glad Bob is making friends in school... anyways Bob, you'll take care of the tuna, this young lass here wants the belly part." he informs Bob, Bob nodded in response and soon got to work. "Woah! You're actually good at this, but how come you aren't good at cooking??" You teased.
"I'm only good at h-handling the knife b-but when it comes to cooking... I really have no luck..." he replied. You let out a giggle, "That's fine, you're in good hands. Mu and I will take care of you." you reassured him. "Mu??" he asks, confused. "Oh! I meant Muichirou, Mu is my nickname for him." you told him. He then nodded in response, he quickly finished and gave you what you wanted. "Thanks." you told him as you gave him your payment. "I'll see you in school Bob!" you told him as you waved him goodbye, he also waved you goodbye.
As you walked around the market, buying some random things here and there like cookies since you were hungry. Your eyes caught a familiar small figure. You squint your eyes and soon came to a conclusion that it was... "Mu!!" you spoke out as you ran up to him, he turns around, greeting you with his usual bored facial expression. "Hey! What are you dping here??" you ask, "Well... I was tasked with the grocery shopping." he simply replied.
"Oh~~ Can I join you Mu??" you ask, "Mu..." he mumbled, 'Someone used to call me that name...' He thought, but he couldn't remember who. "Mu??" you called out his name, "Oh, sure." he replied as he snaps out of his thoughts. You let out a small 'yay' and soon walked around the market with him. You looked around the different stalls, but none of them had what you need. You soon got the cookies you bought out of your eco bag.
"Mu, do you want some? I bought this cookies." you ask, he stares at it before taking a piece. He soon took a bite of, "Is it good??" You ask as you took a bite. "....Yours taste better." he commented. You froze as you stopped walking, "Eh...?? Did you just...??" you spoke out in disbelief, you soon noticed that he didn't stop walking. "YA!! Mu!! Wait!! Why are you walking faster?! Come back here!!" you shouted as you quickly tried to catch up to him.
As you were focused on catching up to him, you didn't notice the small smile on his lips.
-Time Skip-
You hummed as you peacefully watered the plants, "My lillies look beautiful!" you spoke out as you complimented your flowers. "Y/n." a familiar voice spoke out, you turned around to see water slave number 2, Obanai. "Oh hey Obanai!" you greeted him, "Let me help you." he suggested, you nodded as you handed him a watering can. You soon notice a familiar, adorable snake around his shoulders. "Kaburamaru!" You cheerfully spoke out.
Obanai notices that you were excited to see Kaburamaru and handed him to you. "Take good care of him." he spoke out, you let out a gasp, "Are... Are you finally giving him to me?!?!" You excitedly ask, he gave you a smile. "no." he simply replied. You pouted, "Whatever... Should I run away with you now??" you cooed at the adorable snake. Obanai looked at you and shook his head in disappointment, he knew you were only joking... or were you?
You stroked Kaburamaru's smooth scaly skin, you looked at him with a sad smile, "You know... You remind me of someone... His name was brother, he was a tarantula... I think the two of you would've been good friends..." you commented as you remembered the twerking legend. Obanai stared at you, he knew you still haven't fully moved on.
"By the way Obanai, why did you suddenly want to help with watering the plants?" you ask as you changed the subject. "Well... You were always doing it by yourself, so I figured that maybe I could help you." he simply replied. "But Y/n, how are you feeling?" Obanai asks as he knew what was happening, he hated how the students called you a slut and would constantly harrass you... If only he could kill them all...
"Well... I feel... Hmm... I honestly don't know. But you don't have to worry, I'm a strong independent woman." you giggled. "Is saying 'I'm a strong independent woman' your coping mechanism?" he asks, you let out an offended gasp, "How dare you notice!" you spoke out. "But... I try to ignore it, and as I've said before, you can't satisfy everyone." you told him.
"Sometimes it does get to me, but is it really worth it? To prove that you aren't this or that to people who would never listen to you? No matter how much you explain, no matter how much you scream and shout, they will never understand. They don't want to understand. So... Why should I waste my time on them when I can spend my time with you?" you continued as you looked at Obanai, his eyes widen as he felt his cheeks heat up. He quickly looked away, flustered. "Oh! Sorry I meant you guys, you know... My friends and family... People who are there for me..." you added.
He then cleared his throat, "O-oh..." he commented. 'Why is my heart beating so fast? She didn't specifically mean that its just me... Besides, why should I even get ahead of myself...' he thought. You then let out a small sigh, he slowly turned to you, you had a sad expression.
He was having an internal panic whether to pat your back for comfort or not since it would've looked weird and awkward that he was comforting you like that and touching you out of nowhere. Of course he doesn't want you to be weirded out, but he wanted to comfort you, to help the one he loves. The problem was that he didn't know how to, should he do it or not- His internal panic was cut off as soon as you laid your head on his shoulder.
He flinch in suprise, he didn't know that you would do that... He didn't feel uncomfortable about it though. "You don't need to feel burdened by doing something or saying something, your prescence is enough Obanai." you reassured him, as if you could read his thoughts. Those words relaxed his nerves, he learned something new about you... You were understanding and simplistic...
Even when you told him that he doesn't need to feel burdened to do anything, he insisted as his arm, that was trembling out of nervousness, wraps around your shoulder. You giggled at the action, "Thanks Obanai..." you mumbled. He didn't reply, he was supposed to just watch you and help you from the shadows... He didn't have the right to be so close to someone as bright as you... You're even allowing him to touch you... Oh Y/n, you're just making him fall deeper.
-Time Skip-
You looked around your surroundings, it was night time and you couldn't sleep again. You were headed to the park and was wishing that sir Kokushibo won't catch you here again or else he'd scold you. The night sky and the glittering stars were beautiful, the night time really calmed your nerves... You soon heard noises, you raised an eyebrow and soon noticed a figure in the distance.
You soon noticed that it was Genya... He seemed to be gliding around...? You soon connected the dots and found out that he was playing around with his skateboard. You walked up to him, "Genya!!" you cheerfully spoke out, he flinches and turns to you with wide eyes. "Y/n...?" He spoke out. "Genya!! I can't believe that you're also here at night!" you cheerfully commented. "Shh Y/n!" he whispered- yelled.
You raised an eyebrow, "Why are you shushing me?? Are you hiding from-" You were cut off by him, "If you don't shut up, I'll kiss you!" he spoke out, frustrated. His eyes widen as a hint of red spread across his cheek as he realised what he had just said. You blinked for a few times, trying to process what had just happened. You then let out a mischievous smirk, you opened your mouth. "AAAHHH-" You scream was cut off by him covering your mouth.
"What the hell are you doing?! Didn't I just tell you to shut up?!" He asks, he then slowly removed his hand from your mouth as you gave him a sign that you would behave. "Okay, where's my kiss Genya??" You teased, he let out a groan. "...Oh shut up... I just watched too much of those cliche chick flicks that my brain said a line from one of the shows out loud..." He mumbled, You let out a giggle. When you were at his place one time, you were watching random cliche shows with him.
You fake pouted, "Are you really not going to give me my kiss Genya?" you teased him again as you went closer to his face. He grumbles and distances himself from you. You let out a laugh as you were satisfied by his reaction, "Hahaha! I'm just teasing you Genya!!" you told him. But Genya didn't reply, but instead stared at you. Your laugh soon died down, and he was still staring at you. You raised an eyebrow, "Genya?" you spoke out. He then wore a sly smirk.
He then slowly walked closer to you, "Genya?? It was a joke." you spoke out. But that didn't stop him from walking closer to you, you gulped. "There's no need to be serious Genya." you spoke out, as you slowly backed away from him. Unfortunately, you were backed up to a tree. 'Fuck! I didn't see where I was backing up to!' You thought. "Genya, come on dude you can stop now... haha..." you commented.
He then got you cornered, now it was his face that was getting closer. "Genya...??" you squeaked. 'I swear if this boy gets any closer, I won't hesitate to commit dick kick!' You thought. Suddenly, he blows air onto your face. You let out a small squeak in response. He then let out a laugh, "You should've seen your face Y/n!" he laughed. You rolled your eyes as you had a taste of your own medicine. "You're all talk but no bite Y/n." he added, "You're quite a confident flirt but all of that confidence dies down when you get the taste of your own medicine." he continued.
You let out an offended gasp, 'Did this bitch just expose me?!' you thought. "Whatever... Why were you shushing me anyways??" You ask, "Because your voice was very loud, its already night time but you're still so noisy." he replied, you lightly smacked his arm. He gave you a what-the-fuck-did-I-do-wrong? look. "I'm not noisy!" you shouted, but then realised the loudness of your voice.
"Oh..." you commented as you had realised that he was right. "Why are you here anyway? Skating at night?? Are you a skater boy??" you ask. "Because I want to." he simply replied, you rolled your eyes. You then stared at his skate board, "Well... Can I try?" you ask. He hesitated for a moment before slowly nodding his head. You gave him a small smile as thanks, you then tried to ride his skateboard. You let out a small gasp, suprised.
"I'm actually good...?!" you commented as you turned to Genya for the look of approval, but his expression was far from approval. "What?" you ask, "You're literally just rolling around." Genya commented, "Shut up! I'm good at this!" you told him, "That's not how you do it Y/n- Wait! Don't you'll-" he was cut off by you accidentally tripping/falling from God knows how, thankfully, Genya caught you.
"Geez... Your so clumsy..." he commented and then tightened his grip on you, his eyes widen as he realised that his hands were just right below your chest. He quickly removed his hands from you. "Shit- I'm sorry." he quickly apologized. "No, its fine... Umm... Thanks for catching me..." you told him. He then got up, he held out his hand, you took it and he soon helped you get up.
Soon, there was an awkward silence, but that awkward silence was cut off by a growl and a hiss. The two of you looked at each other, confused. "Did you hear that?" you ask, he nods in response. The two of you soon looked around and curiously followed the noises. The two of you soon found out that the noises came from... "Bitchass dog?? And the cat from school??" You spoke out, confused.
Bitchass dog and the cat was hissing and growling at each other, "Are they fighting?" You whispered at Genya. "I think so." he whispered back, "Who do you think will win?? My bet is on the cat." you whispered again. "What?? Why are you betting on the cat?? I'M betting on the cat, you bet on the dog." he replied, "Ew! I'm not voting for bitchass dog!" you told him, "Bitchass dog??" he replied, confused. As the two of you continued bickering, bitchass dog and the cat continued their argument.
"You seductive cat! Stop seducing the readers!!" Bitchass dog barked at the cat, the cat let out a disgusted face. "As if I'd seduce those peasants! I have standards you bonehead!" the cat hissed, bitchass dog soon noticed the readers. "Oh! Hey there baby ghorl/boi." he smirks at the readers. "This makes me wanna jump of a bridge and die, but too bad I have nine lives.." the cat commented.
Soon, the two of you stopped bickering as soon as the two of you heard a voice. "Hey! You two! What are you doing here at this hour?!" Someone shouted, you turned to see a guard. 'A guard?! Why the fuck is there a guard?! He wasn't here last time!' You thought as you panicked. "Hey! You two! Show yourselves!" the guard shouted. "Oh shit! We gotta blast!!" you shouted as you grabbed Genya's hand and started running.
"Hey get back here!!" the guard shouted, Genya didn't have any time to retort... But he had time to react to this, to your action. Soon, the two of you were at a safe distance. The two of you catched your breath, you then notice Genya who had a weird complexion. "Genya?" You spoke out as you touched his cheek with your hand. He flinches at your touch, "I-I'm fine Y/n..." he reassured you. The color red was spread across his cheeks as he felt his heart beat faster. He didn't know if it was the adrenaline or... Something else.
-Time Skip-
"...Genya...?" Sanemi spoke out, "You're late, I told you to come home earlier." he added as he slowly go up from the couch, he accidentally fell asleep on the couch waiting for his little brother. "O-Oh... Umm... Sorry..." he replied. "What? Were you with someone?" Sanemi let out a chuckle as he joked. "W-What?!" Genya's face soon turned red. "NO I WASN'T!! SHUT UP!!" He shouted and quickly ran to his bedroom, "Huh... He was definitely with someone... But who? Was it someone he likes?" Sanemi commented.
"Well... I'm glad Genya has taken a liking on someone, I'll support him, and help him with the one he likes." Sanemi smiled at the idea, not knowing it was the person he was obsessed with.
