Marinette skips to school ready for the new school year thinking one thing... 'I can't wait to tell Alya how my trip to Gotham went! Maybe she can meet my boyfriend soon!'

Let's rewind a bit.
It is currently the last year of Lycee. Over the summer Marinette went with Gina, her Nona, to Gotham. Apparently when Gina stays there she stays with the Waynes seeing as her old friend is their butler. So when Marinette met the Waynes they immediately adopted her into the family.
Damian and Marinette grew particularly close. One day they were hanging out in the gardens of Wayne Manor and next thing you know they are kissing each other. And that was when they became official.
What ever Marinette felt for Adrien disappeared over the summer. The things she feels for Damian are so much different than what she felt for Adrien.
During Marinette's stay in Gotham she became Gotham's Angel and the Sunshine of Gotham. She is protected by everyone. Even the rouges!
Now... back to present time.
As Marinette walks into Mlle Bustier's class... again. Same people. She notices someone in her seat. Talking to her best friend. Making her best friend laugh.
It hurt Marinette. Suddenly the bright smile on her face was gone.
Then she noticed her.
"Oh hey Marinette! Glad you are back! This is Sophia! One of my childhood friends. She transferred here." Alya says.
"O-Oh... hi." Marinette says.
Then Adrien and Nino walk in. Alya smirks at Marinette but Marinette ignores it to greet her friends.
"Hey Adrien! Hey Nino!" Marinette smiles. That causes Alya to look at Marinette weirdly. 'No stutter?'
Nino and Adrien noticed the new girl talking to Alya and they both suddenly noticed how bad it made Marinette feel.
"Hey dudette."
"Hello Marinette!"
Suddenly Mlle Bustier walks in. "Alright class! Everyone have a seat." Marinette goes to the back and sits down while looking at the back of Alya's head. "Today we have a new student so why don't you come up and introduce yourself?"
Sophia gets up and smiles at the class. "My name is Sophia! I went to school with Alya before she transferred here."
"Cool!"
"Hi Sophia!"
"Wow!"
"Alright thanks Sophia you may have a seat." Mlle Bustier smiles. She then starts class.

It's been a few months since Sophia has joined the class. Alya hasn't talked to Marinette for a while but when they do talk it's just a few words.
Marinette sits in the back row listening to Mlle Bustier or texting Damian. Damian had been a great help getting through the fallout with Alya.
During lunch Alix comes up to Alya. "Hey Alya?"
"Hey Alix! What's up?" Alya smiles back, stopping her conversation with Sophia.
"Why aren't you talking to Marinette anymore? Marinette has been so lonely." Alix says.
"I..." Alya looks at Marinette who sits across the room talking on her phone.
"You should talk to her." Alix says then walks away.
"I'll talk to her after school." Alya mumbles.

The end of the school came which means it's now Christmas break.
Alya walks to the front of the school in hopes of seeing Marinette outside. She only sees a hot guy with a motorcycle and no Marinette.
Sophia was staring at the hot guy with stars in her eyes. "Girl he is hot! Do you think I can get a date with him?"
"Omg totally!" Alya smiles back.
Before Sophia could make her way over to him there is a blue blur running past her making her stop. Alya and Sophia look at Marinette....

Marinette walks outside to the courtyard of the school texting Damian. She smiles as she enters the courtyard.
When she looks up she has tears in her eyes. Damian... HER BOYFRIEND... is in the front of HER school.
"DAMIAN!" Marinette yells as she runs to him.
Did she notice the 2 eyes on her? Yes. Did she care? NOPE!
She then jumps on him with her legs around his waste and her arms around his neck and hugs him.
"Omg Damian why didn't you tell me you were coming?!?" Marinette asks.
"It was a surprise." Damian says.
Marinette hops off of him but then she kisses him. That shocked Alya.
"Marinette! Who is that?" Alya says as she walks over.
Marinette's face morphs into a straight line. "My boyfriend. I met him over the summer in Gotham."
"Why didn't you tell me!"
"I tried Alya. I tried. But you didn't care." Marinette says.
Alya stares at Marinette shocked.
Damian whispers in Marinette ear and Marinette nods.
"Wait." Marinette stops Damian from moving.
"What?"
"Can I drive?" Marinette smiles.
"Absolutely not. The last time you did that you almost crashed into Wayne Enterprise." Damian says.
"That wasn't my fault! Jason was being annoying. So therefore if I crashed into it I wouldn't get in trouble by the owner Jason would."
"And my father is the owner of it so he would have been disappointed at you too." Damian says as he gets on the motorcycle.
Marinette huffs. "I always thought that the Waynes were gonna be very fancy. Turns out they are very crazy. Not normal at all. Just my luck."
"You love us though. I swear if we weren't dating father would have fought for custody over you." Damian chuckles.
"That's happened once. Jagged Stone and Tony Stark were arguing over who gets me this summer. It's pretty funny. Of course Nona comes in and brags she has me." Marinette rolls her eyes.
Alya and Sophia stare at Marinette in shock. 'She is dating a Wayne? And she knows Jagged and Tony!'
"OH OH! How is Claude, Allen, Allegra!?!?" Marinette smiles.
"Your best friends are annoying. As always." Damian sighs.
"Then why do you hang out with them." Marinette says with a straight face.
"Simple. They are the most tolerable."
"What about Jon?"
"Kent is annoying."
"Then why are you guys best friends?"
"We aren't."
"Jon says differently."
"That's because he is Jon."
Marinette hops on the back of Damian's motorcycle and hugs him from behind.
"How is Harley and Ivy?" Marinette smiles.
"Don't you have their number?" Damian asks.
"Maybe?"
Damian just rolls his eyes with a slight smile on his face and takes off.
"She replaced me?" Alya says.
"Oh please you replaced her so she filled in your spot 4 eyes! Of course Dupain-Cheng would be dating a billionaire's son. Only her." Chloe says the last part with a chuckle.

Over the rest of the year Alya and Marinette were strangers. They never talked. Alya wished she could talk to Marinette but Marinette was too busy on her phone or talking to Alix or Chloe.

A/N- I'm supposed to be in school right now but I'm sick✌🏼 My brothers and my mom are getting tested for Covid and I'm stuck at my Dad's house so fun!
