walking into the house, you hold your bear in one hand while your other hand is interlocked with vinnies.
as you take your shoes off, he turns to you and wraps his arms around your waist.
"that was really fun."

he smiles at you and pulls you in for a kiss.
walking upstairs, you do your night routine and lay in bed with vinnie.
"now that we're together, are you going to keep your room?"
"yeah. i can always move in here later. but for now, i want to have separate rooms so our stuff doesn't get mixed up."
vinnie smiles at you.
with his arms wrapped around you, you both fall asleep.
*time skip to next week*
bringing your suitcase down the stairs, you see vinnie waiting for you at the door.
as you open the door, kouvr runs over to you and hugs you.
"text me when you get there."
"i will."
kouvr lets go and you walk out the door.
holding vinnies hand, you both walk out to his car.
the car ride didn't feel like your normal ones.
there was sadness to it.
you didn't want to leave vinnie.
and he most certainly did not want to leave you.
soon enough, you arrived to the airport.
as vinnie opens your door, you unbuckle your seatbelt and step out of the car.
waiting there, vinnie grabs your suitcase from the trunk.
he walks over to you and puts his arms around your waist, yours resting on his shoulders around his neck.
looking into his deep brown eyes, you smile at him.
"only three days."
"that's to long to be away from you."
you smile.
"it will be like when i went back home last month. we can facetime every night. it helps me sleep better."
vinnie smiles and places his hands on your cheeks to kiss you.
after you both said your goodbyes, you walk through the doors.
as you're going through the basic process of getting onto the plane, you can't seem to stop thinking about one thing.
vinnie.
how you'll miss the warmth of his breath as he sleeps with his body pressed against yours.
the way his voice sounds when he first wakes up.
the many compliments he gives you throughout the day.
the little things.
even though you'll only be gone for three days, you will miss it.
you're going to miss him.
a lot.
as you get onto the plane and sit down, you text vinnie one last time before you go on your journey back home.
"about to take off. i'll text u when i land. miss u already<3"
immediately vinnie reads it.

seeing what vinnie wrote made you smile.
after putting your phone on airplane mode, you close your eyes and drift off.
you're woken up to the plane landing.
opening your eyes, you look out the window.
yup.
i'm definitely home.
california looks so different than where you're from.
it feels good to be back where you're used to.
taking your phone off of airplane mode, you immediately text vinnie.
"just landed."
"call me tonight?"
"of course <3"
you smile and shut your phone off.
getting off of the plane, you grab your bag and begin to walk out the doors.
looking to the right, you see your mom standing near her car waiting for you.
walking over to her, she opens up her arms wanting to hug you.
"i've missed you so much."
"i missed you too mom."
letting go, you put your bag in the back of her car and get into the passenger side seat.
"how's it been?"
"so fun. i've gotten so close with all of them."
"how's kouvr?"
"she's doing really good! her and alex are still going strong."
"that's great. how's vinnie?"
crap.
i have to tell her.
"he's great. he asked me out actually."
"you're kidding."
you turn to her and smile.
"y/n, that's great! i'm assuming you said yes?"
"yes. i definitely said yes."
"i'm happy for you both. make sure he's good to you though."
"i have no doubts about him. i know he would never do anything to hurt me. he's too pure for this world to hurt anyone."
your mom smiles at you.
"what day do you leave?"
"monday."
"boring."
you both laugh.
the drive home consists of lots of laughing and talking about everything that has happened in the month you've been apart.
pulling into your driveway, you see your house.
well, your old house.
it looks the same as before on the outside.
but not the inside.
stepping in, you walk up to your old room.
turning the door knob, you slowly open it.
looking in, it's empty.
your pictures that were once scattered across the wall were gone.
quickly distracting yourself, you walk downstairs.
"so, what fun things are we going to do?"
"we should go shopping."
"at the mall?"
"you know it."
you smile at your mom.
"let me get changed and then we can go."
"sounds good"
walking up to your empty room, you quickly change and walk back downstairs.
getting into your moms car, you both sing the songs that are playing.
it's something you've done with her ever since you were little.
pulling up to the mall, you step out of the car.
as you're walking into american eagle, you're stopped by a group of girls.
"hi, you're y/n right?"
"hi, um, yes i am."
"can we get a picture?"
"sure!"
one of the girls holds up the phone and takes the picture of you and the girls.
"have a nice day!"
"you too."
as they walk away, your mom turns to you.
"has that ever happened?"
"no."
"hm."
you both shop in american eagle.
looking through the women's section, you grab a new pair of jeans and a light blue tank top.
after looking through the clothes for a bit more, you walk over to the men's section to look for vinnie.
looking through the sweatshirts, you find an army green one which you think will look really good on vinnie.
taking it down from the clothing rack, you meet your mom at the other side of the store and check out.
leaving the store, you and your mom stop to eat at a restaurant.
the rest of the day consists of you two hanging around the house.
at around 11:30pm, you start to get ready for bed.
changing out of your clothes, you put on black nike pros and the green sweatshirt you had bought for vinnie.
grabbing your phone, you facetime him.
"hey."
"hey 0-1."
"look at what i got you."
you place your phone down on your desk to show vinnie.
"another sweatshirt you're going to steal?"
"yup."
vinnie smiles.
turning off your light, you grab your phone and place it on your night stand.
laying down, you see vinnie place his phone on his desk.
he's playing valorant.
you and vinnie talked for about an hour until you felt really tired.
closing your eyes, you fall asleep while listening to the comforting sound of vinnie's voice.
