the boys say bye as the medics take y/n out to the ambulance. they open the back doors and wheel her in, me and gareth follow. jack and the two other workers get in the front. they shut the back door and make sure y/n's stretcher is secured. me and gareth sit down on the fold out chairs attached to the walls of the ambulance.
my leg is shaking as gareth puts his hand down on it to stop.
"phil, everything will be okay. i didn't know you two were so close." he says removing his hand
"i didn't either till yesterday." i reply
"ignore everything that happened earlier, i know i can trust you and this was a one off." he tells me
"well the rule has already been broken.." i say laughing
"i guess you're right ha." gareth replies
the walkie talkie attached to the wall starts going off.
"we're stuck in traffic, are you reading me?" it says
the medic takes it off the wall and responds
"yes, how bad?" they ask
"not sure yet but we will update, how's the patient?" i hear
"hanging in there." they say putting the walkie talkie back on the wall
when we get past the traffic and arrive at the hospital the drivers come round and open the back door, they get y/n out first then me and gareth walk out. i make eye contact with jack and just ignore him.
"phil can we talk?" he asks
"i don't know if i want to." i reply
"why not?" jack asks
"what guy are you jack?" i ask
"you don't understand the situation." he replies
"i understand it just fine bro. you were arguing, people argue every day. you don't punch her." i say walking off after y/n.
"please wait here until we call you." one of the doctors says turning around to the three of us
we walk over to the chairs placed in the waiting room, gareth sits inbetween me and jack.
i look at my phone coming out of my back pocket and see mason has texted.
*the messages*
mase: what's going on?
me: just got to the hospital, they've taken her in
mase: update us
*end of messages*
"i can still play right?" i hear jack ask gareth
"not the place jack." gareth replies
"it's my fucking career." he says
"and she's your fucking sister." i say leaning forward
"phil do you ever know when to shut up?" jack asks
"what am i gonna do with you two." gareth says pushing us both back in our seats
"excuse me, any family or friends of y/n grealish may now follow me." we all hear a nurse say
we get up and walk over to her.
"follow me." she says, "she's already awake surprisingly."
"that's good." gareth says
she walks us up the stairs to the second floor, we follow her through the halls.
"she's in here, wait out here for me and i'll see how many the doctor and herself want in at a time." the nurse says opening the door and quickly shutting it behind her.

*YOUR POV*
i ly in my hospital bed still confused about the whole situation, the doctor is talking to me but i'm not exactly listening. my eyes get drawn to the door where the familiar nurse walks in.
"hello, i've got three visitors outside. how many are you both comfortable with coming in at a time?" she asks
"that's up to you y/n." the doctor says looking at me
"do you know who they are?" i ask
"i'll collect their names." she says leaving the room
when she re-enters she tells me it's gareth, phil and jack.
"i'm okay with them all coming in." i say not 100% about jack but i don't want to cause a scene
the door opens again and i see the three of them walk in, jack runs over to me.
"i am so so so sorry y/n." he says as i nod
i see phil try walk over but gareth put his arm out to stop him.
"i regret everything." jack says to me again
"i know." i reply looking away
i see phil push past gareth and walk over to the other side of the hospital bed, opposite jack.
"are you feeling okay?" phil asks me
"bro, i'm trying to talk to her." jack says
"ja-." i say before he interrupts me
"would you rather speak to him then me?" jack asks me
"well i didn't punch her." phil says
"phil out." gareth says
"what why me?" he asks
"she's jack's sister." gareth explains leading phil out the room with him
