Many stories explore innocence as a blessing and a curse. A blessing not to understand evil, and a curse to not recognize it. However, all good stories do share one thing in common. They are not what to expect.

A little girl was now walking throughout the forest and stares at the sunlight. She inhales deeply.
???:"Poppy? Where... where'd you go? Come back, Poppy!"
Poppy:"What a coward." she said to her younger brother.
Poppy notices a shadow overshadowing the forest and stares at the dark fog. She gasps as she quickly runs until she's out of the wood.
Poppy:"See, Oak, told you so. Your turn."she said as she pushed her brother forward.
Oak:"But, but it's dangerous. Mother and father say so."
Poppy just scoffed.
Poppy:"Come on, are you scared of trees? I double dare you."she said with an arrogant smirk on her face.
Oak turns around, still afraid to enter the forest.
Poppy:"If you don't do it, I won't be your friend anymore!!!"she yelled at her younger brother.
Oak:"You have to. You are my sister." he said while pouting at his older sister, before Poppy then sighed.
Poppy then rolled her eyes before a smirk appear on her face.
Poppy:"Not the same thing!!!" she said before shoving Oak inside the forest as she watches her brother walking more and more into the forest by his own.
Poppy then decided to wait for a while.

Poppy eyes then widen once she manage to find Oak laying on the floor with a weapon in his left hand.
Poppy:"Oak!!!!" she then run up to her brother and started shaking him causing him to wake up.

Poppy was now walking back to the village where she and her little brother were born and was still holding him and used her scarf to cover him since it was starting to get cold and snow was falling down.
Then a bunch of kids then turn to the two siblings and tilted their head in confusion.
???:"Poppy? What is it? Is Oak, okay?" he asked to the girl.
Poppy:"Just got tired to be in the forest all day!!" she said with a clearly fake enthusiam in her tone as one of the kids eyes widen.
??? 2:"The forest?!?"
??? 3:"But, we're not supposed to go in there!!"

Poppy was now sitting on her bed as she was watching her younger brother, sleeping, still holding the sword with an eye the whole time.
Poppy then glare at the sword, before she then scoffed.
Poppy:"...........Hmp......'Don't go in the forest'......yeah right....like I'm scared or something.....Oak just found a stupid sword......" she said before she then covered herself and blew the candle of the room as everything went quiet.
However what Poppy didn't knew is that the sword with an eye started blinking and then turn its sight on Poppy with what seemed to be a glare of hatred.

She enters the room to find Oak's lifeless body against the foot of the bed. She approaches Oak and touches his face, only to realize that he's already dead. Poppy breaks down in tears as she holds Oak in her arms, however all of the sudden Oak's start moving on his own and with an amazing strength he then pushed her own sister off him sending her flying out of the house and crash in the snow.
Poppy then slowly got up and look to see a demonic eye staring at her in the darkness of the house before all of the sudden a huge explosion blew the entire house and Poppy was pushed back and crash against a tree.

Poppy then started trembling before the monster then........started tearing up blue lava from his eyes while looking at Poppy with a look.......of sadness.
Oak:"Sorry...........I love you......"he said as Poppy eyes then started to tear up more and more before the monster then finally had enough and fully took over Oak's body and proceed to incinerate Poppy alive with his blue flames as the forest ended up burning aswell as the entire village as the snow was falling down from the dark night.

We all have a certain natural inclination. We expect that evil should be easy to recognize rather than accepting it can lurk behind any face. And yet, we are often the slowest to see the darkness within ourselves.
