I also know that many of you didn't agree with Siya in the last update and it's totally fine. I just want to let you all know, none of the characters in my book are ideal, be it Sid, Kriti Akash or Siya. They're human after all and they'll make mistakes. The only reason I included Siya and Akash's conversation about punishing molesters was because if there're people like Siya who've been engraved from a very young age with something hypocritic, either by society or their parents, there should be people like Akash to show them what's right and what should actually be done.
Last chapter taught me something. Since all my books will be on social issues which we face in Indian society, there'll be difference of opinion. There might be some points on which I won't agree with my readers and vice versa. So, it's fine. I'll make peace with it.
In the end I would only request you that please be patient with me and trust me, like you've been doing all along and I promise, none of my characters would disappoint you.
Enough of my rant, let's begin with the chapter now.
Akash's POV
Making my way to Siya's flat, she opened it and proceeded to Kriti's room and I made my way to Siya's room to take a shower.
I had already decided to give some alone time to Siya and Kriti as she was worried for her since yesterday night.
Before I could enter her room, Siya came running to me.
"Akash" Siya said frantically, breathless due to running.
"What happened, baby?" I asked, cupping her cheeks.
"You need to come with me" she said and without waiting for my reply, dragged me to Kriti's room.
My heart was thudding in my chest, like it was on a race.
All kinds of weird and bad thoughts were making way to my head while we were rushing to Kriti's room.
Reaching her room, I saw Siya looking at something with her wide eyes.
I followed her line of sight and came across a sight which I wasn't expecting at all.
Sid and Kriti were sleeping on the same bed but the thing that caught my attention was that Sid was half naked and Kriti was wearing his shirt.
His head was snuggled to her chest and she had her hand threaded in his hair.
"What do we do now? Should we wake them up or let them be" Siya whispered.
"I...I don't know. Probably Sid was trying to comfort her and they just...slept" I said, even though I myself wasn't sure what had actually happened between them.
"Akash, I would never judge Kriti. That's where you're wrong. Even if they slept together, I am no one to meddle in their personal matter. The only thing I am concerned about is whether she did it willingly or Sid forced her because I swear if he forced her to do anything owing to her vulnerable condition that she was in yesterday, I swear to god, I'll kill him" Siya said and I gulped.
"Whatever she does, I'll never judge her. She deserves all the happiness in the world." she said, still looking at her with sad eyes.
I turned around because I couldn't look at her like that. Whatever they did, I consider her my sister and even thinking about what they must have done yesterday was making me uncomfortable.
"Why did you turn around?" Siya whispered.
"Do you expect me to look at them when they're...they're in this position? I am in the living room. Please wake them both up. I...I can't look at them in this condition" I said and stormed off to the living room.
Once in the living room, I sat on the couch and was taking deep breaths to calm myself down.
The only thought clouding my mind was...did Sid take advantage of Kriti's vulnerable state? But then my conscience reminded me, Sid can never do that. He has never been pervert kind of boy and from what I know, he truly loves Kriti and would never do something which would break her.
My hands were immediately fisted in balls just thinking about it. If I come to know that he took advantage of Kriti's vulnerable state, I'll bury that fucker alive.
After fifteen minutes I saw Sid making his way to the living room. Thank god he was wearing his shirt by now.
My blood boiled looking at him.
"You bastard" I said and launched at him.
I landed a punch at him but he was quick enough to dodge it but I pushed him.
"What the heck man" he said as he landed on the floor due to the impact of the push I gave him.
"You fucker" I screamed at him and grabbed his collar.
I was seeing red. I landed another punch at him but this time, he couldn't dodge it.
The punch landed on his nose and it was bleeding by now.
"What the heck Akash, what has gotten into you" he said and dodged my next punch.
"You bastard" I screamed at him but how could I forget, even he was good in wrestling. He dodged me well and landed me a punch.
The punch landed on my jaw, making me stumble and I got up followed by him.
"Akash" Siya screamed and rushed to me.
"Leave him Akash, please" she said, touching my shoulder but I wasn't in my senses to listen to her.
"Leave me Siya, I will kill him today" I said.
"Akash, calm down, at least listen to what he has to say" Siya said but one look from me and she closed her mouth.
"Don't you dare take his side" I warned and she gulped.
I then looked back at Sid and even he had a murderous look on his face.
"I won't leave you bastard" I said and landed another punch at him.
Hovering over him, I pulled him off the floor a little by grabbing his collar and landed continuous punches at him but he dodged many and flipped me around such that my back was facing the floor now.
"What has gotten into you?" he said, gripping my both hands.
"You fucker, you took advantage of Kriti's condition. How could you do this to her?" I asked and his face scrunched in confusion and his hold on my hand loosened.
Taking this as an advantage, I took my hand out of his hold and when I was about to punch him again, I heard Kriti's voice.
"Why the heck are you two fighting?" she shouted and we both looked at her. She was dressed in a night suit by now. Thank god.
Listening to her, Sid's whole demeanor changed. He was relaxed and his hold on me loosened.
"Kriti" Sid smiled and got off me.
Proceeding to her with a smile, he hugged her and kissed her forehead, making my jaw drop on the floor.
When I looked at Siya, she mirrored my expression.
"How are you feeling today baby?" he asked.
"I am fine" she said with a wide smile.
I swear I was about to faint.
"What the heck is going on here?" I asked and they both turned to me.
They both looked at each other, then at me and Siya.
"We...we need to tell you both something" Kriti said, bringing me and Siya out of the trance.
"What is it?" I asked and she tensed. I could sense it because she was fidgeting with her fingers.
When she didn't say anything for a few more seconds, I made my way to her.
She immediately looked down and I placed my forefinger under her chin.
Tilting her towards me, I asked "what is it Kriti?"
I saw her shivering and I cursed under my breath.
"Why are you intimidating her dude?" Sid said and I felt like punching him again.
"Akash, please stop with your intimidating stares. You're scaring her" Siya said and I looked at her.
Turning to Kriti and giving her a small smile, she told her "come Kriti, let's sit on the couch, then we can talk."
Linking her arms, they both sat on the couch.
"How are you?" Siya asked and Kriti gave her a small smile.
"I am fine" Kriti said, glancing at Sid which didn't go unnoticed by me.
I think even Siya noticed it because I could see a faint smile on her lips.
"Did you...did you sleep well?" she asked and Kriti nodded, again.
Clearing her throat, she very cautiously said "when we arrived today morning, we, I mean me and Akash saw you both on the bed, together."
Kriti looked at Siya and then at Sid.
He made his way towards the couch and sat beside Kriti.
Wrapping his arms around her shoulder, he said "yes Siya, we slept together. Do you have any problem with that?"
"Mind your tongue Sid. She's not a nobody with whom you can talk rudely" I said.
I couldn't tolerate anybody talking to her that way when she's genuinely concerned about Kriti.
"Akash" Siya said and glared at me, silently asking me to keep quiet.
I just looked away and sat on the other couch.
"Sid, I don't have any problem with what you both do and honestly speaking, I don't even want to interfere but it's just that...Kriti was in a very vulnerable state yesterday. I just don't want her to get hurt" Siya said.
"Why are you explaining yourself to this fucker?" I said, turning to Siya.
I was beyond agitated by now.
"Akash, can you stop being angry for once and listen to them?" Siya said with a disappointed look.
"Excuse me, why are you behaving as if I've done some crime?" Sid said, looking at me.
"Because you did" I said and stood up.
"No bhaiya, he didn't do anything. I was the one who asked him to sleep with me" Kriti opened her mouth for the first time.
"What?" me and Siya shouted at the same time.
"Yes bhaiya. We...we confessed our love for each other yesterday" Kriti said shyly.
Siya's POV
My mouth was hung open at what she just said.
"Really?" Akash was the first one to come out of his trance and ask them.
"Yes" Sid said with a smile, looking at Kriti dreamily.
"So that means you didn't take advantage of her?" he asked and Sid eyes widened.
"What? No. I would never do that to her" he said.
"Yes bhaiya. He didn't want to be with me yesterday night, in the same room but I was the one who convinced him" Kriti said.
"So you mean to say, you asked him to sleep with you?" I asked and she nodded, looking down.
"Okay" I said, grinning like a fool now.
I was so so happy for them.
"Akash, do you want to say something?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.
He gulped and said "I...I am sorry."
"Uh...what? I didn't hear you" Sid said.
"Shut up fucker" he said rolling his eyes.
"I very well know you heard what I said" he said and Sid grinned.
"Bhaiya, why were you punching him?" Kriti asked and Sid said "yeah, even I am curious to know. It was like you were just waiting for me to wake up to take out your pent up frustration."
"I...I am sorry" Akash said, looking down.
"Kriti, Sid, I am sorry. I'll just explain everything. When we came back home, we saw you both, on the same bed. She was wearing Sid's shirt and Sid was half naked. So we thought that Sid has taken advantage of your situation" I said, looking down.
Listening to me, Sid stood up from his place and said "Akash, you've known me for as long as I can remember. How could you even think so low of me. I am so disappointed in you."
"That's why I said, I am sorry buddy. When I saw you both together, I lost it. Kriti is like a sister to me and anybody taking advantage of her is unacceptable, even if it's you" he said, looking at Sid.
Sid gave a pointed look listening to him and Akash looked away.
But then the sight in front of me made me smile.
Sid got off the couch and going near Akash, kissed his cheeks.
"Zeeesh" Akash said, wiping both his cheeks, making me and Kriti laugh.
"What the fuck dude. Why the heck did you give me wet kisses?" Akash said, annoyed, still wiping his cheeks.
"I love you" Sid said and hugged him.
"What the fuck" Akash said and we both laughed.
"Seriously dude, I really love you. Do you know why?" Sid asked and Akash was very annoyed by now.
"Why?" he asked, nonetheless.
"Because of how worried and caring you are for Kriti" he said and we stopped laughing.
"I now know why you landed me those numerous punches and I am happy that you took stand for her" Sid said and Akash looked at him.
"That's why I love you" he said and hugged him, again.
"Stop it" Akash said and we both started laughing again.
After few minutes of teasing session, Sid said "on a serious note, I am happy that you care for her but didn't you trust me that I would never do anything that would hurt her?"
Listening to him, Akash looked away.
"Listen dude. You, of all people should know that I love Kriti, more than my life and I would never do anything against her will and without her consent that could strain our already strained relationship. We both have waited for a very long time for each other and I really want us to work. I know there's still a long way ahead for both of us but we've decided to take slow steps, together and work on our relationship" Sid said and I looked at Kriti for confirmation.
She nodded her head.
"No doubt we both love each other but we've decided to work on our differences and there's still a lot of time and a lot for me to achieve before I can approach her family. I want her, in my life, as my better half and for that, I know I'll need her support" he said, looking at Kriti with a smile.
She smiled back and said "of course, I am with you, always. Whenever you need me, I'll be there to support you, motivate you. Even if the whole world is against you, I'll always be by your side."
He went to her grinning and kissed her forehead.
She then hugged him and hid her face in her chest.
"Awww" I said with pouted lips.
"You both look so cute" I said and approaching them, pinched their cheeks one by one.
"Owww" Kriti said and rubbed her cheeks, glaring at me.
"Seriously guys, I have always seen you both either fighting or arguing over one thing or the other. Seeing you both so lovey dovey, I am actually very happy" I said, grinning.
"You know, I really used to ship you both since college but then because of all the circumstances, you both had to part ways. Seeing you both together, I feel like I have achieved something so big in my life and finally my ship has sailed" I squealed.
"Okay baby, relax. I know you're excited that they are committed now but even you need to control your emotions and I think we should give the new couple some alone time" Akash said.
"Yes, I think you're right. We should give them some alone time" I said and looked at Kriti.
She was blushing.
"Oh my god, the badass Kriti Singh is blushing. I need to mark this date in the calendar" I said and she pinched me in my arm, making me hiss in pain.
"What?" I asked, pouting and rubbing the place where she pinched and she shrugged.
"I am genuinely sorry Sid. Seeing you both that way, together I just lost it. You can say that I acted in the heat of the moment" he said.
"It's okay, buddy. You don't have to be sorry" Sid said and they both gave each other a brotherly hug.
"Come on baby, let's go. Even we need to spend some quality time together" Akash said, breaking the hug and dragged me with him.
"You're a devil, do you know that" I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
"Yup, I am and you're my angel. Now come on" he said and dragged me with him to my room.
