at around 3am, you and vinnie decide to head home.
he opens your door and you sit down in the passenger seat.
opening the trunk, he puts the two blankets in the back and walks around to the driver's side.
vinnie sits down, puts his seatbelt on, and starts his car.
since you were so tired, you rested your head on the window with your knees up to your chest.
your hand was on the center console.
as he's driving, you feel his hand brush over yours as your fingers interlock.
the rest of the ride home was relatively quiet.
just small comments like "i'm so tired." or "we should do something fun tomorrow.".
as you arrive at the house, you unbuckle your seatbelt as vinnie opens the door for you.
walking into the house, you both walk upstairs.
instead of turning into your room, you walk past it and go into vinnies, him following close behind.
"you're sleeping in here again?"
you turn to him.
"i'm just washing my face."
vinnie's face got red.
he was embarrassed that he assumed you were going to sleep with him again.
"oh, ok."
walking into his bathroom, you wash your face.
as you're leaving he stops you at the door.
"are you going to be fine, you know, sleeping by yourself?"
it's gotten easier being away from home.
i don't need anyone with me to fall asleep.
at least i don't think so.
"no i'm fine. goodnight vinnie."
he pulls you in for a hug.
"goodnight y/n."
walking out of his room, you walk into yours and close your door.
laying down, you fall asleep almost instantly.
vinnie's pov:
i turned around and walked back to my bed.
as i shut the light off and let my head sink into the pillow, i can't seem to stop thinking.
why didn't she want to sleep in here again?
does she not feel the same way i do about her?
did what i say tonight scare her off?

as i close my eyes, i finally drift off to sleep.
y/n's pov:
as you wake up, you turn to you side to check your phone.
12:23 pm.
i overslept.
a lot.
quickly standing up, you walk downstairs and see everyone in the living room.
kouvr sees you walking down the stairs.
"there she is. finally awake."
you yawn and rub your eyes.
"what did you do last night, party?"
"definitely."
kouvr laughs.
looking around, you see vinnie on the end of the couch.
an empty seat next to him.
perfect.
sitting down, you expect him to talk.
but he doesn't.
weird.
kouvr turns to you.
"y/n we are going shopping today. well, me and alex. you can come too and whoever else wants to."
"yeah i'll go."
"perfect. mia? thomas?"
"i have a photoshoot to go to and thomas has to film a bit for his vlog."
"ok. vinnie?"
vinnie doesn't look up from his phone once.
"sure."
"perfect. let's leave in twenty minutes?"
"sounds good to me."
"does that work for you vinnie?"
"yes."
he's being dry.
for no reason.
standing up, you walk upstairs and into the bathroom to get ready.
as you're adding final touches to your hair, you hear vinnie walk in.
you see him standing in the doorway.
"are you ok? you're acting weird."
he smiles at you.
"i'm fine."
not very believable.
you smile at him as you walk out.
walking into your room, you change and walk downstairs.
alex and kouvr are waiting at the door.
"is he coming?"
"he'll be right down."
after about two minutes, vinnie comes downstairs.
everyone gets into alex's car and alex drives off.
parking his car, you all get out.
the place you're shopping at is one long strip of just shops.
first you stop in american eagle.
you and kouvr buy a few items but the boys don't.
next, louis vuitton.
after looking in there for a bit, you all walked out with nothing.
as you're walking to the next store, you see a familiar face.
fletcher.
you notice him walk towards you guys with a camera in hand.
seeing the big camera makes you think about the anxiety you felt when you saw it the first night you were here.
you immediately start picking at your fingers, a habit you do whenever you feel anxious.
you see vinnie look down at you.
he noticed.
while fletcher was still a bit far away, vinnie turns to you.
he holds both of your hands.
"it's ok."
his reassurance calmed you down, causing you to stop.
finally fletcher comes up to all of you.
"hey guys, what's up?"
kouvr steps forward.
"nothing much. just shopping. trying to enjoy our day."
"nice, nice. kouvr i heard that you're starring in a movie, how's that going?"
"that's a rumor. only a rumor. no movie for me."
"ah ok, i see, i see."
"alex, hey congratulations on hitting 14 million on tik tok!"
"thank you."
fletcher turns to you.
"y/n, right?"
you see vinnie tense up.
please don't do anything or say anything.
"that's me."
"you're blowing up like crazy! how do you feel about it all?"
"it's amazing. it's a bit overwhelming but my fans make it all worth it."
"that's great. so you're apart of the hype house now?"
"yes. it's so fun."
"i see. i've seen you and vinnie making some tik toks together and there's a video going around of you surprising him and hugging him. are you two dating or talking?"
vinnie steps forward before you can talk.
"we're friends. just friends.

"are you sure? that hug looked like there was something going on between you two."
"no we're just friends. i don't see her in that way. i'd only ever want to be friends. if we dated it would make things awkward."
"ok, ok. well y'all have a great day now."
you all walk away.
as you're walking to the next store you couldn't stop thinking about what vinnie said.
they way he said it.
it's fine.
he just doesn't want people knowing about anything.
which is understandable because not one person knows.
but why did he sound so truthful when saying it?
as you walk into the store, kouvr pulls you to the side.
"that was harsh."
"right?"
"did you do something to him to make him mad or something?"
"i don't think so."
"hm. he was probably just trying to sound convincing. i highly doubt he was being honest because he clearly likes you."
"yeah. i hope so."
kouvr looks at you and lifts her eyebrows.
you haven't really told her you like him.
you smile at her before walking over to the women's section.
once you all are done shopping you decide to go home.
walking into the house, you bring your new clothes up to your room.
the rest of the day consisted of you all hanging around the house.
at around 12:35am, you walked out into the hallway.
walking past kouvr's room you see that her and alex are both asleep.
as you walk back into your room, you see vinnies light peeking from under his door.
you open your door and sit down on your bed.
you couldn't stop thinking about today.
the way vinnie was acting.
what he said.
what was wrong with him?
opening your phone, you click on his name.
"can we talk?"
immediately, he reads it.
"come in my room."
